Did Scumbag A Get Divorced Today? - Chapter 65.1
Maybe it was because she had something to look forward to, but this time Sui Yu didn’t dawdle or drag her feet. Instead, she even quickened her pace, walking a few steps ahead of Shen Jueshu while holding her hand and leading her toward home.
Shen Jueshu looked at her and thought—where exactly did she seem even remotely affected by the suppressant that was supposed to induce a physiological aversion to her? If anything, it looked like, if circumstances allowed, Sui Yu would’ve devoured her whole by now.
Not that she even had the ability to devour her whole.
That thought alone lightened Shen Jueshu’s mood considerably. She followed Sui Yu back home. Just as Sui Yu was tugging her upstairs toward their room, Shen Jueshu came to a sudden stop. She didn’t budge, and no matter how hard Sui Yu pulled, she couldn’t move her.
Sui Yu turned around with a confused look on her face.
Shen Jueshu let out a soft, delighted chuckle and gestured subtly with her eyes for Sui Yu to look in a certain direction.
Sui Yu followed her gaze—only to see the gym equipment in the corner of the living room.
Sui Yu: “???”
She stared at Shen Jueshu, utterly baffled, not understanding what she was trying to do.
With a slight smirk, Shen Jueshu pulled her over and said, “The housekeeper went through all the trouble of getting this for you. Could you really let her effort go to waste?”
Sui Yu: “??!”
Her eyes widened in disbelief. Was she seriously expected to train her upper-body strength now?!
“Nooo~” Sui Yu softened her voice, gazing up at her pitifully. “If I work out now, I won’t have any strength left later~”
Which would mean… she’d end up pinned under her again the entire time!
Shen Jueshu chuckled softly, her voice smooth and charming. “So what if you don’t have any strength? It’s not like you need to do anything, right?”
“You—You…!” Sui Yu’s eyes went wide, accusing, “You said you promised!”
“I did?” Shen Jueshu feigned a thoughtful frown, then acted as if something dawned on her. “Oh, you mean the part where I said I’d let you see my waist? I’m letting you see it right now.”
She raised her eyebrows innocently, then dragged over a yoga mat and sat down, getting into position for some abdominal crunches. Glancing at Sui Yu, she added, “Come on, let’s work out together. You’ll get to see my waist while you exercise too.”
Sui Yu: “……”
She was completely thrown off by Shen Jueshu’s move. Frozen, she just stood there watching her start doing crunches. That slim waist of hers was clearly the center of her strength. Eventually, Sui Yu resigned herself to her fate, picked up the lightest dumbbells available, and began doing arm lifts—her face filled with injustice.
“You tricked me!” Sui Yu still managed to cry out in protest.
“How did I trick you? Didn’t you just overthink it on your own?” Shen Jueshu said calmly, without breaking her rhythm.
Sui Yu huffed. If it weren’t for that one little hum of ambiguous intent earlier, how could she not have misunderstood?
She had been sure Shen Jueshu meant exactly what she thought!
She kept going, lifting the weights, but after only a few reps, her arms were already burning. Especially since she had just gone for a run earlier and was already exhausted—this workout was really pushing her limits!
Just when she was about to slow down and sneak in a rest, Shen Jueshu’s cool voice drifted over.
“Think carefully—do you really want to slack off now?”
Sui Yu: “……”
Images from before flashed through her mind. Every time, she would barely last a round or two before her strength gave out. In the end, it was always Shen Jueshu who took the lead while she turned into a pliant, helpless tool, completely at her mercy—pinned and played with however she wanted.
Her eyes widened. Sure, those moments were great—Shen Jueshu was absolutely breathtaking in those moments—but she also really, really wanted to see her lose control over her for once!
A determined look crossed her face. No more slacking.
There’s no future in being lazy.
Laziness makes you a weak A!
Watching Sui Yu’s change in expression, Shen Jueshu grew even more pleased. When it came down to matters of consequence, this little puppy actually took things seriously. Before, when there was no real incentive, she always tried to wiggle out of training—but now she was finally motivated.
Shen Jueshu couldn’t decide whether to laugh or sigh.
But even so, Shen Jueshu hadn’t been doing her crunches for long when Sui Yu’s arms completely gave out. She plopped down on the floor, expression blank, eyes glazed over, panting heavily as she said, “I—I did twenty!”
That was already pretty amazing! Especially since she was trying to engage the right muscle groups—making it even harder!
She’d done great!
Shen Jueshu looked at her, breathless and flushed like a little overworked cub. There was exasperation in her eyes—but also a softness. She knew exactly how limited Sui Yu’s stamina was. It’s not like she hadn’t tested her limits before.
After finishing her set, Shen Jueshu said casually, “Sit and rest for a bit, then go take a shower.” She continued her workout, every movement fluid and effortless.
Sui Yu: “…”
If she had Shen Jueshu’s level of physical fitness, would she still be getting looked down on like this?!
She pouted and looked at Shen Jueshu with quiet resentment. She was still convinced she’d been tricked. Shen Jueshu clearly knew what she meant—but instead of clarifying, she deliberately left things ambiguous and deepened the misunderstanding!
Sui Yu looked mournfully at her aching arms. At this rate, she wouldn’t have the strength to do anything later, even if she wanted to!
Of course, Shen Jueshu noticed her pitiful look, and the smile at her lips only deepened.
Sui Yu eventually calmed down while sitting there, but she still didn’t move. So Shen Jueshu asked, “Didn’t I tell you to go shower?”
Sui Yu pouted and weakly gestured to her arms. With a soft whimper, she said, “I’m out of energy! You’ll have to help me wash.”
She said it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Shen Jueshu: “……”
Looking at Sui Yu’s bratty expression, she couldn’t help but laugh. This little pup was really starting to act spoiled with all the affection she was getting.
“Alright~” Shen Jueshu agreed good-naturedly.
Sui Yu felt her ears go warm, but she forced herself to act calm, pretending nothing was out of the ordinary.
Once Shen Jueshu felt she’d exercised enough, she walked over and pulled Sui Yu up off the floor, where she’d been sitting cross-legged like a lazy rag doll. With a firm pat on her back, she gestured for her to head upstairs.
Sui Yu pouted. Her arms were sore, her legs wobbly—she felt half-dead.
Shen Jueshu stayed close behind her, just in case she stumbled on the stairs. “You and the original Sui Yu are technically the same person—how are your personalities this different?”
Sui Yu muttered, “We’re not that different to begin with.”
“Then how did you turn out so lazy?” Shen Jueshu asked, genuinely puzzled. The original Sui Yu had been extremely disciplined and health-conscious.
Sui Yu wanted to argue, but she couldn’t deny it—so she just pouted again and said, “What can I do? As the personality that developed later, I had no intention of fighting her for control. Whether I got to come out at all was entirely up to her. With such limited time to exist, why would I waste it on exercising?”
Why bother? She didn’t even use the body most of the time. Of course she was going to enjoy what little time she had to the fullest!
Shen Jueshu: “……”
That actually made a lot of sense—so much so, she didn’t even know how to respond.
She let out a helpless chuckle. So it was just ingrained habit from the past that she couldn’t shake now?
When they finally reached the top of the stairs, Shen Jueshu noticed Sui Yu looking even more wilted—dragging her legs like she had no will to live.
It was honestly a mystery how this person had ever managed to beat up Fu Xin like that.
After setting up the bath, Shen Jueshu returned to drag the dazed Sui Yu into the bathroom. With practiced ease, she undressed her and gave her a quick rinse before guiding her into the tub.
Sui Yu was still a bit shy, but with Shen Jueshu offering to personally help her bathe, she figured a little shame was a small price to pay.
Shen Jueshu poured shampoo into her palm and began washing Sui Yu’s hair with care. Despite her laziness, Sui Yu had taken surprisingly good care of her long hair—silky smooth, barely any tangles.
“Mmm, my wife is the best,” Sui Yu said with a delighted grin.
Shen Jueshu gave a low chuckle.
After washing her hair, she squeezed body wash into her hands, working it into a rich lather. A playful smile began to spread across her lips.
“You!” Sui Yu’s eyes widened. Was this really just a bath?!
“Hm? What about me?” Shen Jueshu replied calmly.
“W-Where are you touching?!” Sui Yu shouted in embarrassment.
Shen Jueshu looked down at her, puzzled, then stepped into the tub, pulled Sui Yu into her arms, and asked with a straight face, “What, this part doesn’t need washing?”
“If it’s not clean, I won’t kiss you.”
Sui Yu: “……”
She went limp in Shen Jueshu’s embrace like a doll. Even though everything Jueshu did looked like she was genuinely trying to help her bathe, Sui Yu couldn’t shake the strange, teasing feeling that lingered through it all.
When the bath was finally over, Shen Jueshu wrapped a towel around her and told her to head out first.
But Sui Yu refused. She stood off to the side, making it clear she was going to watch her shower next!
Shen Jueshu raised an eyebrow at her behavior. Then, after a moment of thought, her smile deepened.
Well, if that’s how she wanted it, she shouldn’t blame her for what came next.
Sure enough, as Shen Jueshu started to undress and shower, Sui Yu’s face grew redder and redder until finally—she couldn’t take it anymore. She bolted, rushing back to the bedroom and diving face-first into the blankets to bury her flaming cheeks.
W-Why did Shen Jueshu have to be so… so tempting even when she was just taking a shower?!
Sui Yu was flustered and restless, aching with desire—but utterly powerless to act on it.
She had to be doing this on purpose! She knew Sui Yu was too weak to do anything now and was blatantly taunting her!
Before long, Shen Jueshu came out of the bathroom. Seeing the way that silly little pup had curled into the bed with the blanket hiked over her head, she raised an eyebrow in amusement.
She was the one being stared at—yet the one who watched had ended up more embarrassed.
Shen Jueshu climbed into bed and gently draped herself over Sui Yu from behind. She pressed a soft kiss to the nape of her neck, right where her scent gland lay, and chuckled, “What’s wrong? Why’re you hiding like this?”
Hearing that teasing tone in her voice, Sui Yu’s face flushed even deeper. She buried her face further into the covers, letting out a few muffled whimpers.
Shen Jueshu couldn’t help but laugh but decided to take pity on her little pup and stop teasing. She gently lifted Sui Yu’s head.
“Aren’t you tired yet? Let’s sleep.”
Sui Yu, already in her current state, was clearly in no shape for anything else. Tonight, she’d be allowed to rest well.
“Mm.”
The moment she heard the word sleep, a wave of drowsiness hit her. She yawned, letting Shen Jueshu adjust her body into a proper sleeping position, pull the blanket over her, and instinctively scooted into her embrace.
Faced with this voluntarily cuddly behavior, Shen Jueshu, of course, welcomed it. Wrapping her arms around her, she closed her eyes and joined her in sleep.
Since getting together with Sui Yu, she’d noticed a marked improvement in her own sleep schedule—something she hadn’t expected.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the slits in the curtains. Sui Yu stirred, letting out a small sound as her eyelids fluttered open. Inhaling the cool, pleasant scent lingering on Shen Jueshu, she couldn’t help but nuzzle into her neck like a little pup—this was where the scent was strongest.
Shen Jueshu had already been woken by her, and with her eyes still closed, she gently rubbed the head resting against her neck. Her voice was raspy with sleep.
“It’s still early… why not sleep a little longer?”
“I want to… but I’m already awake,” Sui Yu murmured, her just-woken voice low and husky. She opened her mouth and lazily latched onto Shen Jueshu’s collarbone, too lazy to even move.
Her whole body ached—it didn’t even feel like it belonged to her anymore. She just wanted to lie in bed for all eternity.
Shen Jueshu chuckled softly at her words. Since Sui Yu didn’t seem intent on getting up, she lay back down as well and drifted into another short nap with her. The next time they woke up, it was to the sound of their alarm.
Shen Jueshu reached out to turn it off, rubbing the place on her collarbone where Sui Yu had been clinging during their nap. She sighed helplessly.
“Still not getting up?” she teased, gently pinching Sui Yu’s cheek.
“So tired~” Sui Yu whined. Even with a second round of sleep, she didn’t feel any less exhausted.
“Be good. Once you get used to it, it won’t feel so bad,” Shen Jueshu coaxed, sitting up and pulling her upright as well. With both hands, she cupped her face and gave her cheeks a firm rub. “Come on, get up. I’m taking you somewhere today.”
Sui Yu blinked sleepily and looked at her with curiosity. “Where are we going?”
The smile at Shen Jueshu’s lips was faint, her voice soft.
“You’ll see when we get there.”
After washing up together, Shen Jueshu picked out a pair of modest, subdued outfits for them both before they went downstairs for breakfast.
Sui Yu’s hands were still trembling as she held her chopsticks, and in the end, Shen Jueshu had to feed her herself. The housekeeper nearby seemed completely unfazed at this point.
She’d apparently already gotten used to the fact that her young lady turned into a not-so-Alpha Alpha in front of Shen Jueshu.
After breakfast, Shen Jueshu drove them out. Sui Yu still didn’t know where they were going. Partway through the ride, they passed by a flower shop. Shen Jueshu stopped the car and went in, returning with two bouquets—white lilies and chrysanthemums.
Sui Yu blinked in confusion at the sight of the flowers, but didn’t ask.
As the road grew more remote, her eyes gradually widened. She turned to look at Shen Jueshu, a tightness creeping into her chest, her nose beginning to sting.
Shen Jueshu said nothing. She simply drove until they reached the parking area, then handed Sui Yu the flowers and helped her out of the car.
She’d already begun to guess what this was about earlier, and now, as the surroundings confirmed it, her suspicion became certainty.
Seeing the faint redness around the corners of Shen Jueshu’s eyes, Sui Yu’s own vision blurred.
She hadn’t expected Shen Jueshu to bring her to the cemetery.
And she didn’t even need to ask—she already knew who rested there.
Her heart swelled at Shen Jueshu’s quiet thoughtfulness. At the same time, her nose and eyes burned even more fiercely.
She had wanted to visit—but now that she was really here, a faint sense of fear and hesitation crept in.
After all, she had never met her two mothers. She hadn’t even existed when they passed away. By logic, she shouldn’t have any emotional connection to them—but in this moment, something invisible seemed to be pulling her forward, making her eyes turn red and her steps heavy.
“Don’t be afraid. Let’s go see them together,” Shen Jueshu said gently, taking her hand.
Sui Yu sniffled, lowering her head as she followed Shen Jueshu up the stone steps, one by one.
Eventually, they stopped.
