Did Scumbag A Get Divorced Today? - Chapter 49.3
Sure, OO pairings might need technology—but AO couples could conceive naturally.
Sui Yu quickly covered Shen Jueshu’s mouth, her eyes wide with embarrassment. Her gaze flickered everywhere except at her wife.
“Don’t say another word!” she whispered, her whole face burning.
She really felt like she was about to collapse into the ground.
In over twenty years of life, the wildest thing she’d ever done was read a few borderline steamy scenes in novels. Beyond that, she had absolutely zero experience!
She didn’t even have friends who’d joke with her about these things. And now, with Shen Jueshu saying such bold things out of nowhere, Sui Yu felt like her head was spinning.
Shen Jueshu watched her with her mouth covered, eyes glistening with embarrassment. She didn’t know whether to laugh or sigh.
Maybe it’s time I taught my Alpha a thing or two. If she keeps being this shy, what am I supposed to do?
She reached out and pulled Sui Yu into her arms, leaning in to whisper softly by her ear:
“Don’t you want a child that belongs to both of us? We’re at the perfect age to have one, you know…”
The warm breath tickled Sui Yu’s ear, curling into her ear canal and sending a shiver through her whole body.
Her eyes fluttered half-shut, too flustered to keep them open. She clutched onto Shen Jueshu’s shirt and leaned into her, voice barely audible:
“Th-then… if we had a child… would it… would it be a boy?”
“Hm?” Shen Jueshu blinked, not quite understanding. She cautiously asked,
“Do you prefer boys?”
“No, of course not!” Sui Yu quickly shot back, then seemed to realize her reaction was too strong. Her voice dropped to a small mumble:
“I just… I’m afraid if we end up with a boy…”
She trailed off, clearly conflicted.
Shen Jueshu’s body quietly relaxed. Then, she smiled gently and reassured her,
“You don’t have to worry about that. If we ever had a child, it would only be a girl.”
Even though they were an AO pair, their biology was still female. So naturally, their child would be a girl.
Sui Yu finally let out a breath of relief. As long as it’s not a boy.
Of course, she’d love her child no matter what—but her heart had always leaned toward having a daughter.
Hearing her sigh of relief, Shen Jueshu chuckled softly and leaned in again, her warm breath brushing against her skin.
“So… when do you think we should have a baby?”
“Sui Yu, I want a little one who’s just like you.”
That line sent an electric current through Sui Yu’s whole body. Her heart was pounding; her head felt light.
She and Shen Jueshu… having a child together?
She was shy and flustered, but also starting to feel excited.
She could imagine building a complete family with Shen Jueshu—a warm, loving home, now with a bright little blossom to go with it.
“…Maybe later,” she whispered, biting her lip in embarrassment.
“I—I don’t know anything yet. What if I mess up and give you a bad first experience?”
Though Shen Jueshu was a little disappointed, seeing how genuinely shy she was, she decided to give her time.
But not too much time.
She held Sui Yu even tighter. Even before they got together, she’d had intense desires for her. And now that they were a couple, those feelings hadn’t faded at all—in fact, they’d only grown stronger.
Yet, while they were enjoying their peaceful moment wrapped in each other’s arms, neither of them knew that chaos had erupted on the other side of the city.
At the headquarters of the Plot Preservation Bureau, everything had descended into disorder. Among the crowd was the woman they’d once rescued—an Omega who had been in heat.
Clutching her forehead in pain, she shouted,
“How did Ding Qisi show up in front of Shen Jueshu this early—and do something that reckless?!”
It was over. Everything had fallen apart.
Ding Qisi had appeared far earlier than planned, pulled something unforgivable, and was arrested. One of her arms had even been permanently damaged by a gunshot—from Shen Jueshu herself. Now she was locked up and completely useless.
She had entirely deviated from the storyline.
“Yang-jie, it… it was the Travelers,” someone whispered nervously.
The “Travelers” were those who defied the narrative—disrupting the plot at every turn. No one would be happier about Ding Qisi’s collapse than them.
But for the Bureau, this had become a nightmare. Ding Qisi’s arc was supposed to be a key thread in controlling Shen Jueshu. Now it was a dead end.
Even if one day Shen Jueshu did return to the main plotline, Ding Qisi could no longer be positioned as her official love interest. She was in prison. She’d tried to kill the heroine’s beloved—and had been caught by the heroine herself.
No matter how the story bent, she could never be the official match again.
And if the Bureau tried to force it, even under mind control, Shen Jueshu would eventually resist. That much was certain.
“Yang-jie, what do we do now?” the staffer asked, eyes full of anxiety.
If the story’s timeline reached a point where a critical event locked in the deviation, they would be considered failures—and the system would erase their consciousnesses. They’d become nothing more than background characters in a story.
For people who had tasted self-awareness and seen the truth of the world, returning to a mindless, scripted life was worse than death.
Yang-jie’s expression was dark, brows tightly furrowed.
“Have we not received any directives from above?”
The subordinate shook her head, her face pale.
“The only instruction we got… is to try our best to sabotage their relationship. Buy as much time as possible.”
Yang-jie: “…”
She wanted to curse out loud.
Why don’t they come sabotage it themselves?!
Did they really think Shen Jueshu and Sui Yu’s relationship was something that could be easily broken?
She shook her head, her complexion turning even more ashen.
Sister Yang cursed under her breath and grumbled, “With their lousy work efficiency, no wonder they’ve been getting trounced by the Traversers for years!”
The man fell silent, not daring to say a word.
“Go! Make things difficult for them!”
At that moment, Sui Yu and her companions were still unaware of what they were about to face. In the middle of a hug, they were interrupted by a knock on the door. Having learned from past experience, Shen Jueshu immediately let go of Sui Yu, adjusted her clothing, and said calmly, “Come in.”
Qin Qing entered only then. Perhaps due to the previous incident, her eyes didn’t wander this time. She kept her gaze fixed about two meters ahead of her feet, showing an impressive level of propriety.
“Is there something you need?” Shen Jueshu asked.
Freed from Shen Jueshu’s arms, Sui Yu couldn’t help but smile at her composed demeanor. But mindful of Qin Qing’s presence, she held back her laughter, her face flushing red from the effort.
Shen Jueshu cast her a helpless glance.
“President Shen, the Li family has terminated their partnership with us,” Qin Qing reported.
Shen Jueshu’s expression remained unchanged. “Understood. Make preparations on the Jiang family’s side as well. Find suitable replacements.”
She had anticipated this outcome for some time. Though they were all in the same circle and often crossed paths, as the saying goes: “We don’t need the steamed bun, but we need to save face.” If they allowed Jiang Siyue to trample all over their dignity, any future cooperation would hardly go smoothly.
“Understood,” Qin Qing replied with an unchanged expression.
The withdrawal of both the Jiang and Li families would certainly cause some issues, but everything remained within their control—no one was panicking.
Sui Yu slowly got up and began pacing around the office with her cane, saying, “Once Siyue becomes famous, she has to treat us to a huge feast!”
“She better! We deserve to be thoroughly pampered for all the effort we’ve poured in lately!”
Hearing her words, Shen Jueshu chuckled softly. She might talk about fleecing Jiang Siyue for a lavish meal, but who was the one fretting just yesterday about Siyue having no money?
Still, seeing Sui Yu take the initiative to walk around, Shen Jueshu nodded in approval. “At least you understand the importance of moving around.”
She had genuinely feared a repeat of past incidents—especially given Sui Yu’s lazy, unmotivated streak.
Sui Yu lowered her head like a discouraged pup and muttered as she walked, “There’s no other way! If I don’t work on my rehab, what if I end up with a limp?”
With Shen Jueshu looking like an aloof and untouchable ice queen, how could she keep up if she couldn’t even walk properly? Wouldn’t she seem like a mangy mutt completely unworthy of her?
Besides, if she really did end up with a limp, people would mock her to no end—and Shen Jueshu would have to endure those same scornful looks.
Hearing this, Shen Jueshu felt a mix of helplessness and amusement. Did this woman not realize yet that she really needed to exercise more?
To think that a top-tier Alpha could have such poor physical condition—she could hardly imagine what Sui Yu must’ve been like in her previous life.
Just as she was about to say more, the company front desk called through the intercom.
“President Shen, there are a bunch of women outside trying to become mistresses.”
