- Which Fierce Alpha Disguises as a Beta to Abduct a Wife?
- Chapter 47 - I’ll Show You Right Now Whether I’m Truly "Weak" (Must-Read)
“Jiang Huaiyan, you bastard, put me down! See if I don’t kill you!” Zhou Yunqiu was still passionately venting his fury.
Jiang Huaiyan ignored him. He carried him all the way to the rooftop suite and only set him down once they were safely inside on the sofa.
Having regained his freedom, Zhou Yunqiu stood up and immediately began pummeling Jiang Huaiyan with punches and kicks to vent the fire in his heart. Finally, he delivered a sharp slap to Jiang Huaiyan’s backside.
He struck with so much force that his own hand turned bright red. He stared at his throbbing palm in shock and complained, “Your ass is way too solid; my hand actually hurts from hitting it.”
Jiang Huaiyan looked at him with a face full of shamed indignation, his ears flushing a deep crimson. He took a deep breath, trying his best to keep his voice steady. “Behave yourself. I’m calling your brother to come pick you up.”
“Calling my brother to pick me up?” Zhou Yunqiu laughed out of pure anger. “Jiang Huaiyan, I thought you hoisted me up here to use your ‘manly strength’ to teach me a lesson, but this is it? Just this?”
“You really are a coward. You clearly like me, yet you don’t dare to act. I’ve gone this far, and you’re still finding every excuse to refuse.”
“How did I never notice before that you were so indecisive? Hiding this and that, keeping everything buried in your heart and never letting me know.”
“Do you think this is for my own good? It’s not. It’s not good at all. If I like you, I need you to like me back. I don’t want us to miss each other because of ‘other things’ when you clearly love me.”
“That’s why I went to find Duan Mingxu even after you explicitly rejected me. I wanted to know your reasons. I wanted to fight for my love one last time. And what about you?”
“Even knowing exactly what I want from you, you choose to call my brother!”
“Jiang Huaiyan, you really disappoint me. I must have been blind to fall for such a timid, shrinking man.” Saying this, Zhou Yunqiu headed straight for the door. “You don’t need to call my brother. I’ll go back by myself.”
“And you can rest easy; I won’t come back to pester you ever again. I’ll listen to my brother and find a suitable Alpha to marry.” With that, he pulled the door open to leave.
But just as he stepped one foot out, he was yanked back by a powerful force.
In the next second, the door was slammed shut with a bang. He was pinned against the wall by Jiang Huaiyan and kissed fiercely. The strength of the kiss was heavy, as if Jiang Huaiyan intended to swallow him whole.
Zhou Yunqiu was stunned for only two seconds before he wrapped his arms tightly around the man, responding to the violent kiss. It felt as though their lips had been cut; the metallic tang of blood filled both their mouths. But they didn’t stop; the taste of blood only made them more frantic.
Hearts pounded wildly, breathing grew shallow and ragged, and the temperature in the room climbed steadily.
Just as Zhou Yunqiu was about to take things further, Jiang Huaiyan suddenly retreated, turning and sprinting toward the bathroom. He burst inside, pulled out the pills Duan Mingxu had prepared for him, and swallowed two.
The Alpha pheromones that had been desperately trying to surge out were forced back into dormancy by the medication, no longer clamoring to escape. He leaned against the wall, panting heavily, trying to douse the fire in his veins.
The bathroom door was suddenly pushed open by Zhou Yunqiu.
Zhou Yunqiu looked at him with burning eyes. “Jiang Huaiyan, do you dare to be a man for once?”
Jiang Huaiyan’s heart was like a drum. “I can’t take responsibility for you right now.”
“I don’t care about that. I only care if you’re willing.” Zhou Yunqiu approached him step by step.
Jiang Huaiyan was holding back so hard his muscles were trembling. He looked at Zhou Yunqiu’s determined gaze, and his rationality was suddenly scorched to nothing.
“Zhou Yunqiu, you’re finished.”
And so am I.
The bathroom door was slammed shut with a loud thud.
When Zhou Yunqiu woke up, he was in bed. He looked at the unfamiliar surroundings, feeling a bit dazed. It wasn’t until a series of shameful images from the bathroom flooded his mind that he suddenly realized what had happened.
Blushes bloomed on his cheeks and spread rapidly until his entire face was beet-red. Before he could recover from the embarrassment, the door opened.
Jiang Huaiyan walked in from outside, carrying dinner. Zhou Yunqiu’s face turned even redder, and he dove under the covers to hide.
Jiang Huaiyan came to his side and chuckled helplessly. “Isn’t it a bit late to be shy now?”
Zhou Yunqiu ignored him.
“Don’t smother yourself. Get up and eat.”
Zhou Yunqiu still didn’t move. Jiang Huaiyan quietly reached his hand under the blanket, startling the boy into sitting up abruptly. He asked indignantly, “What are you doing?!”
“What do you think? Go brush your teeth and eat.”
“Promise me first that you won’t tell anyone about that,” Zhou Yunqiu glared at Jiang Huaiyan.
Jiang Huaiyan feigned ignorance. “About what?”
“About… about me fainting in there…”
The corners of Jiang Huaiyan’s mouth tilted up. He smiled and pulled the boy into his arms, whispering in his ear, “I have no interest in sharing that kind of pleasure with others.”
“You’d better not.”
“However… you really were so ‘weak’ that it was quite an eye-opener.”
Zhou Yunqiu: “???” He actually dared to call me weak? And used the term ‘eye-opener’?
So what if he had fainted from excitement before things even officially started?
“Jiang Huaiyan!” Zhou Yunqiu threw back the covers, intending to prove himself. “I’ll show you right now whether I’m truly weak.”
Jiang Huaiyan quickly caught his wrists. “Stop messing around. After you eat, I’m sending you back. I heard from Duan Mingxu that your brother seems a bit ‘off’ tonight.”
“What?” Zhou Yunqiu froze and immediately scrambled to find his phone.
“He’s not answering his phone. Both Duan Mingxu and I have tried calling,” Jiang Huaiyan said as he handed him the device.
Zhou Yunqiu immediately dialed his brother’s number. Sure enough, there was no answer. Something had definitely happened; otherwise, his brother would never ignore his calls. Usually, even in the middle of the night, his brother would pick up, give him a scolding, and then hang up.
“No, I have to go back and check right now.” Zhou Yunqiu immediately climbed out of bed to get dressed.
Jiang Huaiyan frowned in disapproval. “Eat something first.”
“I can’t eat now.” How could he have an appetite?
“Take it with you and eat on the way.” Jiang Huaiyan saw him to the door.
Zhou Yunqiu didn’t refuse, but he was too anxious to eat during the drive. Aside from that incident when they were kids, his brother had never had any major problems. Usually, it was Zhou Yunqiu causing trouble, not his brother. The sudden silence made him terrified.
Upon arriving at Zhou Yunqing’s villa, Zhou Yunqiu saw Duan Mingxu and the Eldest Master’s assistant arguing at the entrance. Seeing him, the assistant immediately walked over with a worried look. “Young Master, the Boss told me to guard the door and let no one in, but this man insists on forcing his way inside.”
“He’s in trouble and you’re still just standing here?!” Duan Mingxu was so angry he looked like he wanted to hit someone.
“I must follow the Boss’s orders and hold my post,” the assistant replied without yielding.
The more Zhou Yunqiu looked at Duan Mingxu, the more he found him an eyesore. “Didn’t you hear what my brother said? No entry!” He then gave Jiang Huaiyan a stern look. “Watch him. Without my word, he is not allowed into my brother’s villa.”
“Understood.”
“I’m going in to check first.” Zhou Yunqiu entered the villa code. When the second layer—the iris scan—activated, his unease grew even stronger. This villa only activated iris protection in emergency states.
The door opened, and he rushed inside, shouting as he ran, “Brother! Brother, where are you?”
“Brother, I’m back! Don’t scare me, say something!”
Zhou Yunqiu found his brother’s room. It was empty, but there was the sound of running water in the bathroom. He breathed a slight sigh of relief and knocked on the bathroom door. “Brother, why aren’t you answering your phone? You scared me to death; I thought something happened.”
“Brother, Duan Mingxu is downstairs. Go drive him away; I don’t like him.” He wouldn’t even tell me Jiang Huaiyan’s secret he has zero awareness of how to be a proper brother-in-law!
He rambled for a few more sentences before realizing something was wrong. Why hadn’t his brother said a single word back?
His heart tightened, and he pushed the bathroom door open.
A wave of intense Omega pheromones hit him square in the face.
