- When the Possessive Omega Fell for Me
- Chapter 44 - Haven't seen you for two days, did you miss me, sister?
“How did you get here?”
Yu Miao put away the last remaining dose in the anesthetic gun and looked up at the woman who had returned to help move the unconscious people out of the mansion.
“Little Yuan! The demolition expert said you might run into some trouble here. I originally wanted to come in through the first floor to get you out, but there were too many people on the first floor to get through, so I had to climb up from the second floor. I happened to run into someone blocking you.”
“Climb up!” Yu Miao suddenly looked in the direction the woman had come from. “Wait, are you saying we can still leave from the second floor now?”
“If we go right now, we should still be able to,” the woman looked back herself, “but can you climb walls?”
“Whether I can or not, we have to go now. We must escape quickly, we can’t delay.” Yu Miao and the woman threw the morally questionable mayor’s niece back into the room, then headed for the balcony the woman had secretly climbed up.
Climbing down from the balcony would put them much closer to the mayor’s daughter’s garage than their current position. As long as they weren’t discovered, they could quickly rendezvous with the others.
They were so close to escaping successfully. She had to leave safely. Once she left, all her actions would be over. The little alpha wouldn’t know she had been here, and wouldn’t have to worry about her.
She didn’t want Yi Jing to know she had been here, at least for now.
Joking aside, if possible, she hoped the little alpha would never have to face the things that had caused her so much suffering.
In the first floor hall, Yi Jing, who was absentmindedly dealing with politicians, suddenly felt something and looked up towards a certain direction on the second floor, frowning slightly.
“What’s wrong?” Hubert, standing beside Yi Jing, asked with a half-smile, following Yi Jing’s gaze to scan the second floor. “Hmm, isn’t that the direction of the mayor’s temporary rest room? It seems to be in the opposite direction of the explosion. Has the security officer noticed something?”
Yi Jing’s expression paused, the slightly worried look completely disappearing. She smiled lightly and turned back to look at Hubert, saying: “It’s nothing, I just suddenly heard a little noise. I must have misheard. Investigation isn’t my specialty, and besides, this happened at the mayor’s house. With the mayor handling it, I believe this small matter won’t be a problem at all given his capabilities.”
There was still a circle of figures from various departments of the political and legal system around the two of them, considered the mayor’s direct subordinates.
The situation was still unclear, and the timing of this incident at the mayor’s house was too delicate. It might need to be covered up and handled internally. Hearing Yi Jing say this, those people immediately picked up the topic, agreeing: “That’s right, that’s right. The security officer makes a good point.”
“Indeed.”
Hubert stopped speaking, listening with a half-smile as they blurred the key points. The group of people each had their own stance, and their words also carried various implications. Yi Jing listened on and off, but her hand unconsciously touched her terminal.
Was it an illusion?
She thought she had just heard her sister calling her. There really was something off about the mayor’s mansion, wasn’t there? It was just one explosion, how had they still not found the cause? No one had even contacted her and Yi Heng, she hadn’t gone to sleep again, had she? Why was there still no response?
What was going on with Yu Miao? Where was she exactly?
The Yu Miao that Yi Jing was worrying about was currently rendezvousing with her organization’s people on a side road, looking quite disheveled. The two unconscious companions had been stuffed into a metal food delivery cart by the demolition expert, hiding in a concealed position near the wall with the demolition expert.
Yu Miao ran over from a distance and saw the demolition expert anxiously waving to the two of them from the corner.
“What’s going on? Why haven’t you left yet?” Yu Miao frowned at the demolition expert.
“I can’t get out,” the demolition expert lowered her voice, looking even more anxious than Yu Miao. “The mayor’s side may have discovered problems with the control system. The screening inside the mayor’s mansion is now very strict. The small door we came in through is still fine, no one has gone to guard it for now, but the surveillance mode for the entire villa has been turned up to the highest level. Those two still have trackers installed by the mayor’s people on them, there’s no way we can take them out.”
Yu Miao looked down at the metal cart: “Can’t they be removed? Can we do emergency surgery in the car we came in?”
The demolition expert opened her mouth, hesitated, and finally said: “We can’t remove them. I just scanned, the trackers are placed at the most nerve-dense area of the back of the neck. One wrong move and the person is gone.”
“So there’s no way to get them out?” The woman who had come out with Yu Miao spoke up, very unwilling.
“…”
The demolition expert hesitated for a moment, not speaking.
Yu Miao was silent for a moment, then suddenly looked up at the demolition expert: “You stayed in the control center for so long, didn’t you make any preparations?”
“That’s exactly what I wanted to say,” the demolition expert frowned tightly. “I did make some preparations, but we need everyone here to start.”
“What do you mean? Wait, are you planning to blow up the control center?” The usually quiet young woman spoke up in shock.
“That is the plan, if there’s really no other way then we’ll have to blow up the control center.” The demolition expert spoke calmly for once.
“I figured it wouldn’t be easy to leave, and besides, I did so many operations in the control center just now. The simplest and most effective way to leave no trace is to destroy the control center, completely eliminating the possibility for their technicians to restore the operation records.”
“Even without the threat of operation records, we need a chance to leave here smoothly,” Yu Miao said flatly.
“If there isn’t a more urgent matter to attract the attention of the people at the banquet, our presence will be particularly conspicuous. Not only will we not be able to leave here, but once our images are left in the security system, warrants for all of us will be posted on the internal network of the security system within half a day. By then, we’ll be facing particularly strict searches during the election period. You two might end up getting caught in the end too.”
The demolition expert and the quiet woman: “…”
A moment later, the demolition expert suddenly nodded: “You’re right, we’re pulling people out of a high-ranking official’s mansion after all. We should have been prepared for this.”
“Since it’s decided, don’t dawdle. We’re blowing up the mayor’s house, if we delay any longer the police station will be mobilized,” Yu Miao opened the terminal on her wrist and pulled up a map so simple it looked like a stick figure drawing.
“I’m not good at making maps, and the information I had before wasn’t enough to support making an accurate map. This is one I drew temporarily before coming here, just refer to it for now.
First, this point is our current position. From what we can see, the police station hasn’t mobilized yet, and the security forces in the mayor’s mansion haven’t started large-scale searches either. This situation is likely because Mayor hasn’t determined the exact cause of the explosion just now and doesn’t want to create extra troubles during the transition period.
But after the control center explodes, the situation will escalate. The police station will likely receive the news immediately and use the sky eye system to screen. If we haven’t left the mayor’s mansion by then, we’ll be in trouble. So our window of action is probably just the short period between when the police start to act and when the bodyguards notice the back door.
Also, to be safe, it’s best if these two unconscious people move separately from us. The monitoring and verification at the back door may fail, but the trackers on them are still a problem. We need a transport method that can block signals.”
For some reason, Yu Miao’s tone suddenly became a bit difficult as she got to the latter half, despite having been clear-minded throughout.
“What’s wrong?” The demolition expert, not knowing the inside story, thought something was going to happen to her companions. “Is there something we can’t do? Oh right, we don’t have a vehicle that can block signals, and there’s no time to find one now. You’re not thinking of abandoning them, are you?”
“Of course not.” Yu Miao closed her eyes, took a deep breath, then looked at the map in her hand again, pointing to one of the spots. “These two people and the information we obtained from the mayor’s mansion are all very important and must be transported in the safest way possible. I’ll be responsible for this part, you just need to come with me here for a moment.”
The demolition expert and the quiet woman looked at the map together: “The parking lot?”
“Yes, once we get there I naturally have a way to send the information and those two people out of the mayor’s mansion. Before that, we need to blow up the control center first, destroying any possibility of retaining records of our movements. Then we need to quickly settle the people and information, and then leave the mayor’s mansion as fast as possible. Of course, after leaving the mayor’s mansion I will also split up from you, not staying together.”
“Alright, then I’ll try to contact the outside world in advance, have the other three people come back immediately when we leave to fill the gap we left. That should buy us some more time.” The demolition expert was about to try contacting the outside when Yu Miao suddenly stopped her.
“What?” The demolition expert looked at Yu Miao with some surprise.
“We can’t do that,” Yu Miao raised her hand to press down the demolition expert’s, frowning at her with a somewhat cold gaze. “Are we not considering the safety of others? If they come back now, they’re very likely to be suspected. Even if others aren’t clear, the hotel staff will surely sense something. How will they explain the time they disappeared in between? And how will they withdraw later?”
“We’ll arrange that later,” the young woman who had been quiet all along spoke up. “After we leave safely and they pass the first round of screening in our place, the organization will arrange for people to pick them up.”
“No.” Yu Miao was silent for a moment before still refusing. “If we can’t immediately divert the risk and attention, I will refuse to provide you with a way to hide the tracks of these two people and the information. I must ensure, some safety.
And you’re also underestimating the screening intensity of certain big shots in District 13 on these kinds of matters. First losing the undercover agents of unknown origin who were illegally kept at home, and then having the control center blown up – these two things happening simultaneously almost blatantly says there’s a problem. Do you think those bigwigs will let it go lightly?
If the mayor’s side can’t give an explanation, an even more terrifying investigation will begin, and things will get worse. Don’t think about rescuing anyone else, it can’t be done.”
The demolition expert and the other woman looked at each other, both falling silent for a moment, but they quickly made a decision:
“Understood. Then I’ll find a chance to explain the situation to our companions. We’ll detonate the control center and withdraw immediately afterwards.”
“Mm,” Yu Miao responded lightly. “Also, there’s no need to involve innocent people too much in upper-level affairs. You should have drug supplies in your car, right? Give those three girls whose identities we replaced an injection and then let them go. Pretend they were held hostage by us, to avoid implicating them in the wanted list as well.”
“Don’t worry, we do have that much discretion,” the woman who usually spoke very little said softly, then asked, “So how do we act now?”
Yu Miao turned her head towards the direction of the parking lot, not speaking as her fingertips unconsciously touched the area over her heart.
She sighed lightly in her heart, feeling a bit of bitterness. Now she had no choice but to use this backup plan after all.
She really didn’t want to involve her little alpha in this from the beginning.
“First approach the parking lot, the target vehicle is located inside the mayor’s mansion.”
Yu Miao pressed her lips together, a hint of soft emotion flashing across her face before instantly disappearing. In the blink of an eye, she returned to her cold and rational demeanor, as if she had never wavered for a moment.
“Time is tight. After approaching the parking lot, immediately detonate the control center. Transfer the mission targets while others’ attention is diverted, then withdraw immediately before the police station mobilizes.”
“Okay.”
Time passed hurriedly, with another 15 minutes gone by.
Yi Jing stayed in the banquet hall, listening to colleagues quietly discussing the whispers about that explosion. She absentmindedly took a sip of champagne, her attention not on the drink at all, not even noticing she had drunk her least favorite flavor.
The longer time dragged on, the more she felt something was off about this incident.
She did want to create some chaos, that’s true, but for things to be in disarray for so long without any explanation was far beyond what an accidental detonation of a distributed weapons launch point could achieve. There must have been other things happening in between.
Could someone else be active in the mayor’s mansion like her?
What exactly did she do then? And what did the other party do?
Yi Jing unconsciously gripped her glass a little tighter, feeling worried.
For some reason, she always felt that what would happen today must be related to the “main plot”, even if not directly related to Yu Miao, it would certainly be connected to those “realities” hidden beneath the surface that were never fully explained in the original work.
Yi Jing felt very anxious.
Hopefully this time it has nothing to do with Yu Miao. But, how long can she prevent it? Can she really keep Yu Miao completely away from the original plot?
The sound of colleagues trading veiled remarks never stopped around her. Yi Jing listened until she had a bit of a headache. She was just about to put down her champagne glass and go for a walk when a violent explosion suddenly thundered from above.
It seemed to happen in just an instant. The shockwave shook the entire villa. Yi Jing’s vision blurred and she felt dizzy deep in her brain.
Immediately following was the sudden change in lighting. The originally soft lights in the banquet hall were shattered by dark red warning lights. Alarm sounds and mechanical evacuation instructions rang out together, only to be drowned out by the buzzing of electrical currents a few seconds later. The flat monotone of malfunction error messages came through.
It’s unclear who let out the first scream, but in any case, following that scream, everything descended into chaos. Someone spoke urgently in a low voice: “This is bad, it looks like the security system’s control center exploded.”
The banquet hall was in complete disarray. Standing on the first floor, one could see quite a few building fragments falling by the pool, landing on the ground along with some dust.
Fortunately, the main building’s structural integrity held up. It only experienced some shaking and noise effects, with no signs of collapse or crumbling.
Yi Jing casually steadied a lady nearby who had lost her balance in high heels, then raised her eyes to scan the banquet hall surroundings – at a glance she saw many people rushing towards the third floor, presumably to check the incident site and eliminate risks.
The flow of people began to surge, with many leaving and many entering. The staff arranged by the mayor’s household, as well as bodyguards and assistants related to the banquet guests, all rushed to their employers’ sides. Even Yi Jing’s secretary and that driver who doubled as a bodyguard hurriedly came over.
“Security Officer Yi, are you alright? What happened?” The secretary ran over somewhat anxiously.
The guests were separated by the flow of people. Yi Jing’s gaze swept across the banquet hall once, her expression gradually calming down. She looked up towards the upper floors and waved her hand at the secretary, saying: “It’s nothing, just an explosion.”
The first explosion was indeed her doing, but who was responsible for this one?
There must be someone else in this villa.
But the current situation was unclear, and it wasn’t convenient for her to rashly investigate. The control center had just been blown up, so her actions causing the explosion on the second floor wouldn’t be discovered for a while. It was suitable for her to keep a low profile and protect herself.
“There’s no problem here, no need to protect me. Go back and watch the car first.” Yi Jing turned back to the driver and said.
The driver seemed to want to stay and ensure Yi Jing’s safety, but after thinking for a moment, he did as Yi Jing said.
The mayor’s mansion was in chaos for a few minutes. After getting through the initial turmoil, the mayor’s bodyguard team quickly demonstrated their professionalism.
Several important positions were reassigned with personnel to guard, and traces of the explosion were cleaned up – at least no embarrassing dust or building fragments could be seen in the banquet hall.
Before long, staff were also arranged in the banquet hall. The mayor came out to ask the guests to wait a moment, saying he would explain the specifics of this accident to everyone.
Because of the accidental explosion disrupting order, the guests unconsciously gathered according to their factions, exchanging glances as if discussing something.
Yi Jing was no exception. She stayed in one place with Hubert, Chen Feng and several judicial system colleagues, sitting together on a set of soft sofas.
Delinke had run off somewhere again. Hubert was discussing the recent explosion with others. Yi Jing took the opportunity while no one was paying attention to quietly open her terminal.
Yi Jing originally wanted to see if Yi Heng and the colleagues from the Supervisory Commission on field duty could bring her some good news. Unexpectedly, as soon as she opened the terminal, before receiving any messages from Yi Heng or the Supervisory Commission, a message from Yu Miao herself directly entered Yi Jing’s view.
Yi Jing: !!!
She had been looking for so long!
Yu Miao shouldn’t be in any danger, right?
Yi Jing was very anxious, her heartbeat quickening. She hurriedly opened Yu Miao’s message.
Yu Miao’s message was quite gentle in tone, leisurely as if still teasing her:
[Where are you now? I remember you said today was Mayor’s retirement banquet. Time to come home, right? Be good.]
Yi Jing’s throat moved slightly. Her heart, which had been worried just moments ago, inexplicably felt a bit sour. She felt as if she had received some kind of order, being urged to rush over to cling and cuddle, instinctively tensing up about whether it was too late to go back now and if she could still get a reward, like Pavlov’s dog.
But the next second Yi Jing reacted, remembering there was still something she was very concerned about.
[Haven’t seen you for two days, did you miss me, sister?]
Her hands reacted faster than her brain, and Yi Jing directly sent out a message.
Seeing herself flirt first, Yi Jing: “…”
She wanted to ask where Yu Miao was now!!!
But, but this is fine too. What if Yu Miao was actually at home? Having others investigate her whereabouts would seem like she didn’t trust her at all!
[Do you think I would miss you?]
Yu Miao’s reply quickly popped up in front of Yi Jing’s eyes, still with that flirtatious, seemingly smiling tone, rarely giving a direct answer.
Yi Jing unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, no longer worrying about appearing too anxious. She naturally asked: [I’ll be back soon, are you at home, sister?]
[No.] Yu Miao quickly replied. Yi Jing’s heart suddenly tightened, and she was about to ask further when Yu Miao’s next message popped up.

[Having coffee outside, the desserts here are pretty good]
The photo Yu Miao sent showed her apparently drinking coffee in a cafe. Through the glass window decorated with cute stickers, highly saturated 3D projection advertisements could be seen outside. The front windshield of a low-speed flying vehicle reflected the psychedelic colors of the ad clips, and it seemed someone was working at a nearby table.
Yi Jing looked up at the chaos in the banquet hall, then thought of the peace on Yu Miao’s side. She finally breathed a sigh of relief and smiled lightly, replying: [I want to eat too, I’m so hungry. The food at the banquet isn’t good at all]
She really had overthought things. She knew the current Yu Miao had no reason to appear at the mayor’s house, how could she possibly be caught?
As for the explosion just now whoever it helped, it had nothing to do with her anyway.
Although Yu Miao refused to say whether she missed Yi Jing, when she saw Yi Jing say she was hungry, she quickly replied: [I’ll bring you some.]
Yi Jing sent a “cuddle” sticker over in a good mood, completely dispelling her previous gloom and irritation. With a relaxed expression, she returned to the sofa where her judicial system colleagues were gathered. She even got herself a glass of champagne and began drinking while listening to her colleagues discuss this incident.
Hubert looked at her with some surprise: “How did you suddenly become so energetic? You were just as gloomy as if you had eight unsolved cases earlier.”
Yi Jing curved her lips into a light smile: “Personal matters.”
Hubert: “…”
Thanks, I don’t really want to know about you lovebirds’ affairs. A high official’s house explodes and it doesn’t even affect your romance, truly a touching force.
On the other side, the decoy aircraft arranged by Q had already picked up Yu Miao, who had separated from her two temporary partners, and was speeding through the crowded air routes in Jing’an City’s core district.
The black glass blocked all prying eyes and skynet tracking. Yu Miao lightly smiled as she closed the chat interface with Yi Jing , switching back to her communication with Q. The smile on her face quickly faded: “Do you understand everything now? Take me back, and help buy some desserts from that shop on the way. I need to deal with my little alpha at home.”
Q’s voice sounded a bit distorted on the other end: “Are you sure this will work?”
“As long as you prepare what I asked you to prepare, it will work,” Yu Miao looked out of the aircraft and spoke softly, “I’m still in the vehicle you arranged, aren’t I? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she goes to the designated location. You can have the person back, but the data is mine. However, since we’re partners, I’ll consider giving you part of it.”
Night was falling, and time seemed to freeze. The explosion at the mayor’s mansion had also reached a stalemate. It took a full half hour before the mayor’s side gave a complete explanation.
The control center had indeed exploded, but it wasn’t due to an intrusion. Rather, it was caused by a program error. They were now contacting tech companies for follow-up processing. Everything had been resolved, and guests no longer needed to worry about their personal safety.
This explanation seemed to raise more questions than it answered, feeling a bit like an attempt to cover up something.
Whether others believed it or not, Yi Jing felt there was still something fishy about this incident. She was the one who had first triggered the explosion of the security system’s weapon launch points, and had previously studied the security system’s operation mode in detail in District Three.
Rather than assuming the security system had malfunctioned, it was more likely that someone had infiltrated the control center when she caused the explosion and deliberately controlled the direction of the investigation. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have taken so long to find results about the weapon launch points exploding.
This matter wasn’t so simple. They probably suppressed the incident to maintain order and public opinion during the election period, to avoid causing a greater impact.
But even for this purpose, there was no need to conceal it from colleagues who were also part of the system. Did the mayor’s house really have something to hide?
The officials attending the banquet didn’t intend to delve deeper at this point. The media wanted to ask questions, but they had been warned to be cautious with their words as soon as the first explosion occurred.
No one pursued the matter further.
The banquet had clearly reached its end at this point. Even without the mayor saying anything, others couldn’t continue to stay.
Who knew if there would be more explosions, and clearly the mayor’s side still needed time for a thorough investigation. The original political objectives could no longer be achieved, so there was no point in staying any longer.
The guests gradually left. As a newly appointed security officer, Yi Jing could barely be considered a newcomer. Additionally, she had no connections with the mayor’s faction, so naturally, she had no reason to stay.
Yi Jing ‘s car was parked not far from the banquet hall in the courtyard. After bidding farewell to the mayor, Yi Jing walked directly towards it.
The driver, who had been assigned by Yi Jing to watch the car earlier, was still standing by the driver’s seat. Seeing Yi Jing approach, he walked around the car to open the door for her.
“How is it?” Yi Jing asked the driver beside her holding the car door, just before getting in.
“It’s been checked, no problems,” the driver answered in a low voice.
Yi Jing nodded, feeling a bit more at ease.
The car quickly started and slowly drove out of the mayor’s courtyard. But as they were about to leave the mayor’s property, Yi Jing noticed that checks had been set up at the front gate.
Several people were stationed on the access road that was necessary to leave this villa, occasionally stopping cars for inspection.
The car in front belonged to a deputy director from the Education Commission. Two young men went over to talk to them, and it took quite a while before they let the deputy director pass.
Watching from behind, Yi Jing found it a bit annoying but didn’t want to make trouble. The mayor was particularly sensitive right now, and there was no need to provoke him. If they wanted to check, let them check. Just get it over with quickly so she could leave.
After finishing with the Education Commission’s car, the two young men indeed walked towards Yi Jing’s car. Yi Jing calmly lowered the window in advance. The dark glass retreated, revealing Yi Jing’s somewhat cold face.
She had no intention of getting out of the car or greeting anyone, so she only had the driver lower half the window.
Only half of her profile was visible, emphasizing Yi Jing’s cold and indifferent gaze even more.
She didn’t mind being checked, but the mayor’s staff suddenly backed down.
“Are you crazy? You want to check everyone? That’s from the Yi family, didn’t you see the judicial system emblem? The Yi family is already the mayor’s partner, what’s there to check?”
“Oh, I forgot. You’re right, what happened earlier isn’t good for the Yi family either.”
The whispered voices drifted in through the car window on the night breeze. Yi Jing frowned and glanced in that direction.
Since the two men didn’t stop them, the driver drove straight through. Yi Jing only saw two unremarkable, ordinary-looking people as the car passed by, and then those two figures disappeared from view.
“Security Officer?” The driver noticed Yi Jing’s movement and slightly slowed down to ask, “Do you want to turn back?”
“No need.” Yi Jing frowned and was silent for two seconds before turning back to sit in her seat. “Keep going, back to the Yi residence.”
“Yes.”
It was just a few ambiguous sentences. Yi Jing couldn’t possibly turn back to question those two minor characters – it would make her look too eager and expose herself.
But judging from the reaction at the mayor’s house, this incident clearly had more to it. The most likely possibility was that something had gone missing from the mayor’s house during the time the control center exploded.
So what could it be?
A person? Data? Or an object?
Interesting. From the looks of it, this missing item was also related to the Yi family. If it really got out, even the Yi family would be affected.
What kind of good stuff was it? It seemed very useful. Yi Jing wanted to have it too. Thinking this, Yi Jing leaned back slightly, her elbow accidentally hitting the armrest beside the seat, causing the ring on her hand – which was slightly ill-fitting – to fall to the floor.
The ring fell onto the black carpet, not looking too difficult to find. Yi Jing bent down to pick it up. Just as she was about to straighten up, her peripheral vision caught sight of a small object stuck under the seat.
“Security Officer? Is something wrong?” Yi Jing hadn’t straightened up for a while, and this time it was the secretary who spoke up in confusion.
“Oh, it’s nothing.” Yi Jing straightened up nonchalantly, pulling out a tissue to wipe the ring. “The ring just fell off, I was looking for it on the carpet.”
Yi Jing silently wiped the ring clean and set it aside. The car continued towards the Yi residence, but Yi Jing’s expression gradually became solemn. She no longer looked as relaxed as before, appearing lost in thought.
It wasn’t until the terminal on her wrist lit up with a special message alert that Yi Jing’s eyes brightened, and she opened her terminal.
Whatever it was, checking Yu Miao’s message was more important.
Yu Miao’s message popped up, with a photo at the top. The dessert mentioned earlier appeared in the center of the image. Yi Jing immediately recognized the background as Yu Miao’s room. The second message was Yu Miao’s words: [Darling, I brought the dessert back.]
[But I seem to have forgotten to bring back the special icing that comes with it from the shop. Without that icing, this dessert won’t taste as good.]
She seemed a bit regretful. Without thinking, Yi Jing replied: [I’ll go buy it]
Yu Miao: [Really? It might not be on your way though.]
Yi Jing’s passive was triggered, and she insisted: [I’m going.]
On the other end of the message interface, Yu Miao smiled helplessly yet happily. Her fingertip lifted slightly, as if wanting to touch Yi Jing’s message, but she quickly realized she was in the bath with wet hands, so she had to give up. She only sent Yi Jing the location of the dessert shop, then exited the chat to leave a message for Q:
[Everything is arranged. Whether you can get your people out depends on you now]
[But I’ll say this in advance: even if you fail this time, I won’t help again. Cherish your comrades’ lives]
