What Bad Intentions Could a Spoiled Little Brat Possibly have? - Chapter 21.2
At that time, Cheng Huai had suddenly become obsessed with cosplay. It happened to be the time to get him new clothes, so he pestered Fu Zheng all day, insisting on having various types of “little dresses” custom-made.
During those days, the first thing Cheng Huai did every morning when he woke up in Fu Zheng’s arms was to whimper and cling to him, using that soft, waxy voice characteristic of someone just waking up to act spoiled over and over, trying to convince Fu Zheng to fulfill this special wish.
Up until the day the tailor came to the door to take measurements, Fu Zheng still hadn’t relented.
Cheng Huai had been hanging onto Fu Zheng since he got up in the morning, refusing to come down. He tried to help Fu Zheng brush his teeth and wash his face in a flurry of activity, but instead of getting him clean, he ended up getting them both soaked. Fu Zheng, with a dark face, carried him into the room to change and told him to stop messing around.
How could Cheng Huai comply? When Fu Zheng leaned over to put socks on him, he took the opportunity to hook his arms around the other’s neck, dangling his whole body on Fu Zheng and swaying back and forth: “Brother, brother, good brother…”
Each call was softer and sweeter than the last, making Fu Zheng’s brow twitch.
Fu Zheng never agreed. After pestering him for so many days without success, Cheng Huai finally got angry. He kicked off the socks that had just been put on and ran into the bedroom next door barefoot, completely ignoring Fu Zheng’s shouting behind him that the floor was cold.
Cheng Huai locked himself in the room and began a hunger strike, refusing to open the door no matter how Fu Zheng knocked.
Later, when the tailor arrived, Fu Zheng simply took the key and opened the door to go in. He saw Cheng Huai curled up deep in the bed, huddled into a small ball, even the tips of his hair radiating anger.
Fu Zheng reached out to rub his hair, but his hand was slapped away. He tried to pick him up, but the boy struggled out of his grasp. Finally, Fu Zheng, reaching the end of his patience, stood by the bed and said in a deep voice: “What exactly are you throwing a tantrum about?”
This sentence completely ignited Cheng Huai’s fury. He snapped into a sitting position, his eyes rimmed with red: “I just wanted a few pieces of clothing!! I wasn’t even going to wear them out!! Why won’t you just agree?! Why are you so dictatorial, so autocratic!! I hate you!!”
Fu Zheng had a headache from his noise. Thinking of the tailor waiting downstairs, he eventually made a concession.
From then on, a dedicated wardrobe appeared in the house, filled with various JK school uniforms, Lolita dresses, princess gowns, maid outfits… every piece was a product of Fu Zheng’s helpless indulgence.
But Cheng Huai’s tendency to push his luck grew day by day. Once there was a first time, there would be a second.
The promise he had solemnly made never to wear them outside was tossed to the back of his mind when Halloween arrived.
Cheng Huai wheedled and pleaded for Fu Zheng to take him out to play. Meanwhile, he secretly dressed up in his room, getting a wig and lipstick from somewhere and dabbing them on in front of the mirror.
He thought he had hidden it well, but he didn’t know that Fu Zheng had already noticed.
Fu Zheng figured that since he would be accompanying him personally, if he liked it, he would let him have his way.
Unexpectedly, on the evening of Halloween, Fu Zheng suddenly received a notice for an extra session of his Olympiad class. Cheng Huai’s original plan was disrupted, and he threw a tantrum for quite a while.
Actually, to Cheng Huai, the disrupted plan itself wasn’t important. He just wanted to spend this special night with his brother; as for what they actually did, he didn’t care at all. Therefore, he felt he had every reason to demand that Fu Zheng take him along to the class.
However, Fu Zheng refused categorically.
“Baby, if you’re there, I’ll get distracted,” Fu Zheng coaxed him softly.
Cheng Huai couldn’t understand: “Why? I’ll just sit quietly beside you and do nothing, is that not okay?”
Fu Zheng thought seriously for a moment. Just when Cheng Huai thought there was a turning point, he still shook his head: “No.” His warm fingers pinched Cheng Huai’s puffed-up cheek, “I’ll make dinner, and you stay home and eat obediently. I’ll bring you back some osmanthus sticky rice cake tonight, okay?”
“Not okay.” In Cheng Huai’s heart, no dessert was more important than his brother. He tightly hugged Fu Zheng’s waist, burying his face in his chest, refusing to let him leave.
Seeing him like this, unable to be apart, Fu Zheng couldn’t help but chuckle. He picked him up, set him on the sofa, and knelt down to look him in the eye: “Brother will stay with you for another half hour, but after that, I really must go out.”
Cheng Huai pursed his lips and suddenly asked in a small voice: “Brother, am I being too clingy?”
This question stunned Fu Zheng, and for a moment he didn’t know how to respond.
Cheng Huai mistook his silence for confirmation. The light in his eyes instantly dimmed, and just as he was about to release his hug, he heard Fu Zheng say softly: “It’s because I haven’t done well enough.”
Cheng Huai blinked in confusion.
“Otherwise, why would my baby ask such a question?” Fu Zheng stroked the top of his head. “I have never once felt you were too clingy.”
This answer made Cheng Huai instantly joyful, and he clung to Fu Zheng like an octopus again.
Fu Zheng patiently coaxed him for another half hour before finally leaving under Cheng Huai’s reluctant gaze.
The moment the door closed, a massive sense of loss washed over him like a tide. Just then, his phone lit up; a classmate sent a message inviting him to a Halloween party.
Cheng Huai thought that since his brother wasn’t home anyway, he just had to get back before Fu Zheng did.
Excitedly, he pulled the JK uniform dress out of the wardrobe and changed quickly. He carefully fastened the leg ring and put on a silver wig. The hem of the skirt was just short enough to cover the base of his thighs. After a moment of hesitation, Cheng Huai took one of Fu Zheng’s long trench coats to drape over himself just in case.
The party scene was bustling with people, with costumed figures everywhere zombies, mummies, vampires, and even someone dressed as the Gold and Silver Horned Kings.
As soon as Cheng Huai entered, he was scared out of his wits by a jumping zombie. Seeing his own outfit compared to the exaggerated styles of others, it was like a small witch meeting a big one. He couldn’t help but protest Fu Zheng’s tyranny in his heart.
A chubby classmate dressed as Harry Potter waved a magic wand and pulled him into the crowd, shouting: “Cheng Huai, you’re here!”
Everyone there knew Cheng Huai was famously “brother-controlled.” Someone joked: “Coming out dressed like this, doesn’t your brother care?”
Cheng Huai glanced at the colorful drinks on the table. If he drank something that upset his stomach, Fu Zheng would definitely be angry. He pushed away the glass the chubby kid handed him and said sourly: “He doesn’t have time to care about me today.”
This brought a roar of laughter from the crowd.
In the midst of the deafening music, Cheng Huai gradually went wild, jumping and dancing with the crowd, completely forgetting the time.
Meanwhile, Fu Zheng, who had finished his class early, returned home. After searching every room and finding no sign of Cheng Huai, his face darkened as he dialed Cheng Huai’s number.
The phone vibrated on a table at the noisy party and was picked up by a drunken classmate: “Hello?”
Noisy background sounds came through the receiver. After confirming the number was correct and suppressing his rage, Fu Zheng asked in a deep voice: “Is this not Cheng Huai’s phone?”
“Yeah,” the other person replied with a thick tongue. “Who are you? Cheng Huai is having fun, don’t be a buzzkill.”
“Let Cheng Huai take the call.” Fu Zheng’s patience was reaching its limit. His voice dropped several degrees colder; though not loud, it carried a chilling authority. The classmate shivered and hurriedly dragged over Cheng Huai, who was dancing, and clumsily shoved the phone into his hand: “Some weirdo is looking for you, scared me to death.”
When Cheng Huai saw the letter “F” on the screen, he felt the world spinning.
He snatched the phone and found a slightly quieter spot, trembling as he pressed the receiver to his ear: “Bro-brother.”
“Address.” Fu Zheng’s voice was as cold as ice.
“Brother…” Cheng Huai swallowed nervously, trying to explain: “I’m with my classmates…”
“Address,” Fu Zheng interrupted. “I don’t want to repeat myself.”
Cheng Huai had no choice but to give the address. Fu Zheng’s face turned darker and darker; that was a famous red-light district.
When Fu Zheng arrived, Cheng Huai was already standing under a streetlamp.
The oversized men’s trench coat barely covered his thin frame. The night wind whipped the ends of his silver wig, revealing a flushed face underneath. His breath, not yet settled after a frantic run, made his chest heave. The hem of the coat flipped with his movements, and his two fair legs were exceptionally striking in the night, his delicate skin appearing to glow.
Two thugs smoking on the street corner had clearly noticed this sight as well. They exchanged a lewd glance and blew a flirtatious whistle at Cheng Huai, their foul language faintly audible in the wind.
Fu Zheng’s face was like a dark cloud. He suppressed the violent urge to gouge those two people’s eyes out and, without a word, grabbed Cheng Huai. Ignoring Cheng Huai’s gasp of surprise, he shoved him into the car almost roughly.
Even the driver was shaken by the terrifying aura, stepping on the gas all the way. After reaching the destination, he practically fled in the car.
Fu Zheng gripped Cheng Huai’s wrist and dragged him into the house, slamming the door with a “bang.” He ripped off that eyesore of a trench coat. When he saw clearly the outfit inside, a suppressed curse escaped his throat. His long fingers suddenly grabbed the front of the uniform shirt, and the buttons popped off.
“Brother, be gentle! Brother!” Cheng Huai was terrified by his roughness and shrunk back. This move seemed to trigger another nerve in Fu Zheng; the next second, the sound of fabric tearing was exceptionally piercing in the quiet hallway.
Fu Zheng dragged him directly into the bathroom, turned on the cold water tap, and drenched him from head to toe.
Throughout the process, Fu Zheng was frighteningly silent. He mechanically washed every inch of Cheng Huai’s skin, his movements bordering on ravaging. Finally, he wrapped him in a bath towel and threw him onto the bed.
Cheng Huai was terrified. His eyes were red from crying, and he clung tightly to Fu Zheng’s waist, sobbing and promising he would never do it again.
That was the first time Fu Zheng had ever been so angry with him. Even now, every time he thought back on it, Cheng Huai still felt a lingering fear.
“The person who did something wrong is acting quite righteous?” Fu Zheng pressed down on the head that was rubbing restlessly against him, his voice unreadable.
Cheng Huai didn’t answer, only murmuring vaguely: “Brother…” The sound was somewhere between a response and a moan, carrying a thick, wet quality.
The shoulder blades under Fu Zheng’s palm were trembling slightly. He lifted the hem of Cheng Huai’s clothes and slid his fingers underneath, touching a slick layer of sweat.
“Brother, I feel so bad…” Cheng Huai’s whole body was scorching and limp. He squirmed restlessly on Fu Zheng’s lap, one hand reaching downward unsteadily, only to be precisely intercepted by Fu Zheng.
Fu Zheng tilted his face up. Everywhere his palm touched was burning hot. The crimson cheeks were flushed with an unnatural fever, and a pained concentration was gathered between his furrowed brows. Those eyes, usually so clear, were now unfocused and vacant, shrouded in a layer of aroused mist. He unconsciously rubbed his cheek against the slightly cool back of Fu Zheng’s hand, looking exceptionally pained and uncomfortable.
Fu Zheng gripped his wrist and pressed the button to light up the bracelet’s screen. The string of indicators showing hormone levels had skyrocketed to three times the normal level.
Almost simultaneously, the phone in his suit pocket emitted a continuous and urgent vibration, hitting his outer thigh like an alarm. It was the warning specifically set to remind him that Cheng Huai was having an episode.
