The Premise
Lan Zhen is actually a legendary System (the AI assistant usually assigned to help human protagonists). He is famous in the System World for having a 100% success rate because all his human hosts were strangely obedient to him. Just as he is about to retire, a glitch occurs: he is forced into the role of a host himself. To return home, he must travel through different worlds and successfully act as an arrogant, despicable villain who eventually meets a tragic end.
The Beautiful Idiot Conflict
The core irony of the story is that while Lan Zhen is trying his hardest to be a cruel antagonist, he is at heart a Beautiful Idiot. He is too naïve, clumsy, and stunningly gorgeous to actually be intimidating. Instead of hating him, the people he is supposed to be bullying find his failed attempts at villainy adorable and end up wanting to protect and pamper him.
