Wagging My Tail in the Ice Queen CEO’s Embrace - Chapter 93
Ming Ying knew Fu Anyu had a simple side, but she never expected her to reveal it so openly and unguardedly.
After helping Fu Anyu back to her room with Du Yunxin, she closed the door, dampened a towel, and wiped Fu Anyu’s face.
“Hurry and sober up,” Ming Ying urged. “We still need to bathe, and you can’t soak in the tub while drunk!”
Fu Anyu didn’t respond. Her eyes were still red, her gaze somewhat dazed.
Ming Ying looked down. One of her tails was still being held by Fu Anyu, who hadn’t let go since they entered the house.
“Be good, listen to me,” she coaxed as she gently pried Fu Anyu’s fingers off her tail.
Fu Anyu obediently didn’t resist, just watched her calmly as Ming Ying moved her fingers one by one from the fox tail.
With her tail freed, Ming Ying breathed a sigh of relief, placed the towel on Fu Anyu’s forehead, and sat down on the edge of the bed.
“Fu Anyu, are you doing this on purpose?” she asked. “It’s not your first time drinking. You know your alcohol tolerance is poor, so why did you drink? Why not sober up? I was drinking cola, you didn’t need to drink with me.”
Fu Anyu seemed to be drifting off to sleep in her drunken state. As Ming Ying spoke, she not only remained silent but also occasionally closed her eyes, as if she could fall asleep at any moment.
“I’m really curious,” Ming Ying moved closer, propping her hands on the bed, face to face with her. “Are you pretending to be drunk right now, or are you actually drunk?”
As if the correct password had been entered, Fu Anyu suddenly reached out and hugged her.
Caught off guard, Ming Ying was startled. When she regained her senses, she found herself lying entirely on top of Fu Anyu, feeling the rise and fall of her body with each breath.
A faint scent of alcohol wafted toward Ming Ying, forcing her to lower her head. She saw Fu Anyu slowly open her eyes, her gaze clear.
“Do you want me to be pretending or to be really drunk?” Fu Anyu asked, her words clear and articulate, not at all like someone who was drunk.
Ming Ying: “…”
Even if she were slow-witted, she could guess that Fu Anyu was still in her right mind. However, she wasn’t sure whether Fu Anyu had truly been drunk earlier.
“I think you’re like a skilled liar,” Ming Ying remarked, staring at Fu Anyu. “But right now, I hope you’re pretending. Get up, sober up, and let’s go bathe.”
But Fu Anyu still had an arm around her back, while her other hand picked up a strand of Ming Ying’s hair, gently twisting it in her palm.
“I thought pretending to be drunk would make you like me more,” she said.
“Are you testing my self-control?” Ming Ying was baffled, then said seriously, “Since you won’t do anything inappropriate without my permission, neither will I.”
Even though the surging desires on the way back had nearly overwhelmed her, making her want to pin Fu Anyu against the wall and kiss her, she had restrained herself.
In response, Fu Anyu smiled, brushed the strand of hair back into place, and with one hand propping herself up on the bed and the other still holding Ming Ying, slowly sat up.
Ming Ying took the opportunity to stand up from her, pressing a hand to her chest, inexplicably feeling a lingering sense of trepidation.
“Let’s go bathe,” Fu Anyu said, putting on her shoes and heading toward the bathroom.
Ming Ying saw a faint white mist rising from Fu Anyu’s body, while a subtle scent of alcohol filled the air, Fu Anyu was expelling the alcohol from her system.
She quickly followed, and as soon as she stepped inside, her gaze instinctively drifted toward the bathtub.
However, Fu Anyu showed no intention of taking a bath. After closing the door and hanging up her clothes, she walked directly under the showerhead, turned it on, and adjusted the water temperature.
Ming Ying didn’t quite understand but still moved closer to her.
A dense mist rose around them, quickly blurring everything in sight.
“Come here,” Fu Anyu said, gesturing to Ming Ying after setting the water temperature.
As soon as Ming Ying approached, Fu Anyu reached out, and in the next moment, she had loosened Ming Ying’s hair.
“Your hair smells like hot pot too. Let’s wash it together.” With that, Fu Anyu picked up the shampoo specially made for demons. After Ming Ying wet her hair, she turned off the water, squeezed some shampoo into her palm, rubbed it into a lather, and gently massaged it into Ming Ying’s scalp.
Ming Ying lowered her head, watching clumps of white foam fall to the floor. Most of it piled up, while a small portion slowly flowed down the drain.
“I’ve actually learned how to wash my own hair,” she said softly. “It’s not hard. Once you know the right method, it’s not troublesome at all.”
Her hair had already been cut much shorter by Du Yunxin, now only slightly longer than Fu Anyu’s, unlike before when it nearly touched the floor.
“I know,” Fu Anyu replied. “Xiao Du told me she taught you.”
“I’ve learned a lot of things,” Ming Ying said with a hint of pride. “Once you find me a painting teacher and I master the techniques of the human world, and after I learn the common computer software from Xiao Du, I’ll be able to help you!”
“You learn very quickly,” Fu Anyu praised generously. “That’s really impressive. You’ve only been in the human world for less than a month and have already become quite capable.”
Everyone loves to hear praise. Ming Ying’s four tails wagged happily, and her perked-up fox ears twitched slightly.
Fu Anyu told her to close her eyes and step back a little. Then, turning the water back on, she took the showerhead in her hand and carefully rinsed the foam from Ming Ying’s hair. Once it was clean, she brought over a dry towel, wrapped Ming Ying’s hair, and twisted it into a bun.
Only after Ming Ying began applying body wash did Fu Anyu start washing her own hair.
Ming Ying still remembered Fu Anyu’s words from when she was drunk. After rinsing off, she wrapped herself in a bath towel and went to the sink to brush her teeth, making sure to brush twice.
She didn’t know if Fu Anyu would want to do anything with her, but it was better to prepare in advance rather than rush at the last minute.
After brushing her teeth, she said goodbye to Fu Anyu, wrapped in a headscarf and bath towel and wearing slippers, then stepped out.
Thinking about what might happen next, Ming Ying actually felt calmer.
Her physical and mental state were both in good condition. The only things she might lack were an atmosphere that sparked imagination and experience.
Without Fu Anyu’s permission, Xiao Du would never let her read books or watch films of that nature. She had no other way to access such material either, having only searched related terms on a search engine to get a general idea of the process.
Using her magic, she remotely drew the bed curtains, sat on the bed, turned on the air conditioner, and glanced at the time. She began considering whether she should discuss with Fu Anyu about postponing the matter until after dinner.
The air conditioner was set a bit too low. Ming Ying felt cold sitting outside, and there was no sign of the bathroom door opening. So, she slipped on a nightgown, wrapped herself in Fu Anyu’s blanket, and lay facing the bathroom door, intending to wait a little longer.
But as she waited, she ended up falling asleep.
When Fu Anyu finished drying her hair and came out in her pajamas, she found the little fox curled up in bed, but her hair was still wrapped in the towel, even soaking a large part of the pillow.
She sighed softly, sat on the edge of the bed, gently unwrapped the little fox’s towel, absorbed all the water droplets from her hair, tossed the towel into the sink, then fetched a new pillow from the wardrobe and placed it under the little fox’s head.
As for the wet pillow, she didn’t bother drying it and simply took it upstairs to hang it in the drying area.
Returning to the room, Fu Anyu sat beside Ming Ying, picked up the fox tail, and placed it on her lap to stroke.
The moment her tail was touched, Ming Ying jolted awake. When she saw Fu Anyu in her changed clothes, she realized she had actually fallen asleep.
How could I fall asleep like that? She thought she was unusually carefree.
After waking up a bit more, Ming Ying thought for a moment and said, “I brushed my teeth twice.”
Fu Anyu nodded. “I saw.”
“Just now, I was thinking about when we should do the things couples do and how to do them,” Ming Ying said. “What… what do you think? Or, did you get drunk on purpose today, hoping I’d take the chance to do something to you?”
“I’m fine with anything; it’s up to you,” Fu Anyu replied. “Getting drunk was indeed a test for you, but unfortunately, you’re just an innocent little fox.”
Ming Ying blushed, grabbing the blanket in embarrassment and annoyance. “Of course! What do you take me for? I’ve never been exposed to anything improper before!”
After saying that, she glared at Fu Anyu.
The woman who usually kept a cold expression was now smiling at her, making Ming Ying freeze for a moment, feeling as if her heart had been captured in that instant.
She smacked her lips and muttered, “Sometimes I think you’re more suited to being a fox than I am.”
As Xiao Du would say, Fu Anyu’s face was as stunning as a celebrity’s, and it was all natural. Her figure was great too. Even among the fox clan, Fu Anyu would rank high on the beauty list. After all, when Ming Ying first arrived in the human world and met her, she had already silently acknowledged her looks.
Fu Anyu simply didn’t like to smile, or rather, her experiences and profession had forced her to put on many disguises.
And Ming Ying felt that Fu Anyu probably only let down all those disguises in front of her. Even Xiao Du and Xiao Chen could only see a part of the real Fu Anyu.
After hearing her comment, Fu Anyu stroked the fox tail in her lap and asked, half-jokingly and half-seriously, “But I don’t have a demon form. Why don’t you lend me one of your tails?”
Ming Ying was taken aback and actually furrowed her brows in thought.
Suddenly, she remembered the “lifespan theory” often mentioned in animations. Demons were spirits born from the essence of heaven and earth, favored by the natural order, and had longer lifespans than humans. Even minor demons, under normal circumstances, could live for over a hundred years.
As for a great demon like her, a natural-born nine-tailed fox with pure bloodline, according to ancient texts, she could live for at least three thousand years without any accidents, even without cultivation. However, after reaching adulthood at three hundred years, she would have to endure a thunder tribulation every century, which was a kind of trial from the natural order.
Thinking about the difference in lifespan between her and Fu Anyu, Ming Ying glanced at her tail and said hesitantly, “Sure, but how can I turn you into a great demon too?”
Fu Anyu: ?
“Why did you think of turning me into a great demon?” She didn’t quite understand the little fox’s reasoning.
Ming Ying then explained the “lifespan theory” she had just thought of. After finishing, she looked at Fu Anyu with sorrowful eyes.
“I don’t want to live longer than you!” Ming Ying said tearfully.
