Turns Out Seducing the Movie Queen Can Break the Plot - Chapter 41.2
Jiang Chi froze for two seconds before hurrying after her again. “Sis, you make a good point. So, from now on, no matter what you do, you have to think of me first, I’m your CP, after all.”
Following their previous photo session setup, Jiang Chi was in charge of attracting customers while Wen Wen handled quick sketches for them.
Soon, many fans recognized the two, but under Jiang Chi’s management, the crowd remained orderly some watching or taking photos, others lining up neatly for portraits.
A circle of fans quickly formed around them, turning the scene into something resembling a fan meet.
[Ahhh, where is this? I’m flying over right now!]
[So lucky to have Wen Wen sketching me while looking at me.]
[The whole world is running into my idols ahhh crawling in darkness and envy!]
[Did you guys notice? Wen Wen keeps looking up at Jiang Chi and smiling! It really feels like “she’s playing around, she’s smiling”, so heartwarming!]
[Right! And the portrait of Jiang Jiang that Wen Wen used as a sample is absolutely stunning!]
Time flew by with the swift strokes of the brush. As Wen Wen handed the finished sketch to the customer, the latter covered her mouth in amazement. “Wow, it’s so beautiful! Wen Wen, are you actually good at everything?”
Wen Wen smiled. “Not at all. I just happen to be decent at this. I’m glad you like it.”
“I love it! I’m going to frame it when I get home!”
After paying, the customer happily walked off with her portrait.
Just as Wen Wen was about to pack up, her right hand was suddenly grabbed by a cold one. Startled, she turned to see Jiang Chi carefully massaging her fingers with a serious expression.
“Sis, after sketching so many people, your hand must be tired, right?”
A tingling sensation spread from where Jiang Chi was kneading. Wen Wen pulled her hand back. “It’s fine. I’ve painted for much longer stretches before.”
“What do you usually paint, sis?”
“Only people.”
“You sketch so fast have you drawn a lot of people?” Jiang Chi had observed earlier that Wen Wen could finish a portrait in about five minutes.
“No.” Wen Wen bent down to continue packing.
Jiang Chi helped her, but when she saw her own portrait, a thought struck her. Curious, she asked, “Sis, I noticed you make everyone else sit properly as models, and you keep glancing at them while sketching.”
“But when you drew me, why didn’t I have to pose? And yet, you still drew me so well.” Suddenly, a realization dawned on her. Tilting her head, she leaned closer to Wen Wen with a mischievous grin. “Sis, is it because I’m in your heart, so you don’t need to look at me to draw me?”
Her hands paused as she sorted the drawing papers. Even without looking, she knew exactly what kind of gaze Jiang Chi was directing at her. She simply raised her hand, pinched Jiang Chi’s nose, and pushed her away slightly. “With you constantly flitting around in front of me every day, if I still needed to look at you to draw your portrait, wouldn’t that mean my memory is faulty?”
Jiang Chi pulled her hand away from her nose. “Ouch, sis! You actually went so hard on my nose! Good thing it’s real, or you’d have squished it flat.”
She rubbed her nose, then suddenly seemed to realize something, instantly forgetting the “pain” she’d just endured. Tilting her head, she leaned in again. “Sis, what did you mean by that just now? Are you saying you’re sick of me?”
Before Wen Wen could respond, Jiang Chi spread her arms and hugged her, nuzzling against her shoulder. “I don’t care! Even if you’re sick of me, I’m still sticking to you.”
“I’m sticking to you for life!”
Wen Wen’s eyelid twitched. “For life?”
Jiang Chi rested her chin on Wen Wen’s shoulder. “Sis, do you really find me annoying?”
Her lips pouted slightly, her expression scrunched up, looking utterly pitiful.
The paintbrush twirled once between her fingers before Wen Wen lightly tapped Jiang Chi’s forehead with the brush end. “What exactly is going through this little rascal’s head?”
“Thinking about you, sis,” Jiang Chi murmured, eyes closed as she nuzzled against Wen Wen’s shoulder, the picture of utter dependence. “My head’s full of you.”
Sweet words always came so easily to her. Wen Wen tapped her forehead again. “Then have you ever wondered why your head is full of me?”
“Why else? Of course because I like you, sis.”
Wen Wen: “What kind of liking?”
She answered her own question: “The couple kind from this morning?”
“Of course not!” Jiang Chi immediately released Wen Wen and straightened up. “It’s obviously the kind of mutual appreciation between friends! Don’t you go overthinking it, sis! I don’t mean it like that at all!”
Her? Overthinking?
She’d overthought plenty, if she voiced even one of those thoughts, she feared it might scare Jiang Chi away completely.
And now she was being told not to overthink? Wasn’t that a bit late?
The faint smile at the corners of her lips slowly faded. Wen Wen lowered her eyes, concealing her emotions as she said, “Don’t worry, I’m not overthinking it.”
Jiang Chi heaved a huge sigh of relief. “Good! Then let’s go play some rides now!”
She linked arms with Wen Wen affectionately. “Sis, which one do you want to try first? We’ll start with your pick!”
The two had earned quite a bit from their portrait drawings, enough to enjoy all the attractions. Jiang Chi excitedly pulled Wen Wen from ride to ride, time slipping away amidst cheers and screams.
Before they knew it, the allotted time was up, and the guests gathered in an open area.
Director Xu: “Looks like everyone had a great time. Now, please hand in your check-in photos.”
After the staff collected the photos, Director Xu continued, “Since you all enjoyed yourselves so much, were you perhaps a little curious about what we have planned next?”
Jiang Chi bounced eagerly. “Is it exciting?”
Director Xu: “Guaranteed to thrill!”
Bai Yue Tong drawled, “It wouldn’t happen to be, something like a haunted house, would it?”
Director Xu snapped his fingers. “Close! The group activity we’ve prepared for everyone is a carefully selected themed escape room fully immersive, with some ‘rawr’-inducing scary elements. Fun and absolutely thrilling!”
Jiang Chi’s eager expression froze instantly on his face.
Ji Mei noticed the change in his expression: “Teacher Jiang, you’re not scared, are you?”
Jiang Chi instinctively wanted to retort, “Who’s scared?” But before he could, a familiar voice cut in: “That’s a strange question. Isn’t it normal for people to have things they’re afraid of?”
“Unless, you don’t have anything you’re afraid of?”
Ji Mei had been about to argue, but seeing Wen Wen’s expression, she suddenly recalled Jin Jin Yi’s words “You should be glad the skateboard veered off halfway” and swallowed her words.
What was so great about Jiang Chi anyway? How dare he compete with her for someone?
She would definitely make Jiang Chi back down!
Director Xu announced, “The couple who solves the puzzles the fastest and escapes the escape room first will win tonight’s full-body relaxation massage package and a luxurious dinner for two. You haven’t eaten or rested well these past two days, right? Give it your all, and tonight’s rewards will be yours!”
Wen Wen tilted her head toward Jiang Chi. “What do you think? If it’s too much, we can skip it and just go enjoy ourselves after filming.”
Jiang Chi forced a smile. “Actually, I’m curious, how did you know I’m afraid of the dark, sis?”
