Turns Out Seducing the Movie Queen Can Break the Plot - Chapter 21
The surrounding temperature seemed to rise steadily, the atmosphere instantly becoming tense and ambiguous.
Wen Wen nuzzled her nose, coaxing gently, “Answer my question first.”
Jiang Chi stared at those tempting lips, hovering just out of reach, her breathing growing heavier. “I want to.”
With that, she lowered her headbut just as she was about to kiss her, a hand cupped her chin, stopping her. Wen Wen’s equally ragged breath brushed against her face as she said, “Not that question.”
What was the relationship between two people who kissed?
Jiang Chi pondered for a moment. “Friends… can kiss too?”
It was like a bucket of cold water had been dumped over them, extinguishing the blazing fire between them completely.
Wen Wen pushed her away.
Jiang Chi grabbed her wrist again, urgency in her voice. “Sis, I know we’re not even friends, but—”
“Skip that. I’ll ask you one last question.” Wen Wen interrupted softly, taking a deep breath to steady herself before turning to face her. Yet, despite her efforts, a faint sorrow lingered in her eyes. “How do you explain what you just did?”
She had thought Jiang Chi’s earlier boldness stemmed from concern for her.
But now, it seemed that wasn’t the case.
Jiang Chi hesitated. “I… I don’t know.”
She truly didn’t. She had no idea what had come over her. All she knew was that the moment she thought Wen Wen might be hurt, a fear like thunder striking her heart had seized her.
The fear felt foreign yet terrifyingly real as if she had once lost Wen Wen forever.
Wen Wen studied her for a few seconds before speaking quietly, “Let’s go outside.”
With that, she pulled her wrist free and walked out. At the door, she ran into Coach Li, who had just arrived. Wen Wen merely glanced at her without greeting her.
By the time Jiang Chi stepped out, Coach Li was already at the entrance. She nodded in acknowledgment but was stopped.
Coach Li raised a brow, gesturing toward the exit. “Did you two… have a fight?”
Before Jiang Chi could respond, Wen Wen, who had left moments ago, suddenly returned and pulled her away.
“Focus on practice. We don’t have much time left.”
Jiang Chi’s gloomy expression instantly brightened, and she obediently let herself be led away.
Thirty minutes later, filming resumed. As the difficulty of the moves increased, the guests became more immersed. Everyone knew that a lack of focus could easily lead to injury.
And no one wanted to get hurt.
In the sweltering August heat of the capital, even the wind carried only warmth.
Across the open field, the sound of skateboards hitting the ground echoed repeatedly as a thin layer of sweat glistened on each guest’s skin.
Jiang Chi mastered the first three moves with remarkable speed. After Wen Wen demonstrated them twice and explained the techniques, she only needed to practice each move a dozen or so times before executing them flawlessly.
Just when she thought skateboarding wasn’t so hard after all, she hit a snag on the fourth move, the Shuvit.
She could pop the board up, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t get it to rotate fully.
On her tenth attempt to kick up the skateboard, her foot landed in the wrong position and she nearly fell. Clearly frustrated, she didn’t utter a single complaint, just silently picked up the skateboard and started over.
Wen Wen stood by, arms crossed, watching her.
Today, Jiang Chi had repeatedly shattered Wen Wen’s perceptions of her.
Judging by Jiang Chi’s performance today, she’d probably forgotten they’d learned skateboarding together before. But Wen Wen understood, they’d shared so many childhood activities that Jiang Chi had likely discarded many memories.
At age eight, Jiang Chi had seen someone “flying around” on a skateboard in the streets and clamored to learn. The Jiang family naturally indulged her.
Wen Wen didn’t particularly like these flashy, dangerous sports, but she wanted to accompany Jiang Chi in whatever she chose to do.
As long as she could be by Jiang Chi’s side, she felt content.
But with anything Jiang Chi learned, her enthusiasm lasted only three minutes. If she failed the first time, she’d complain; the second time, she’d doubt her suitability; by the third failure, she’d quit outright.
“Three strikes and you’re out” was Jiang Chi’s mantra for learning anything new.
“If it doesn’t love me back, why should I love it? One-sided affection never ends well,” Jiang Chi would declare whenever particularly frustrated her so-called “Jiang Chi proverb.”
This meant Jiang Chi’s genuine interests always ended half-finished, while Wen Wen, who’d only been tagging along, would see things through to the end.
Yet now, on the thirteenth attempt, Jiang Chi hadn’t complained once, just quietly restarted.
Though terribly inappropriate, Wen Wen couldn’t help imagining, if Jiang Chi were just a bit more domineering, using this same determination to kiss her, she might… lose control and confess over a decade of unrequited feelings.
God knew she’d nearly succumbed moments ago.
Just a hair’s breadth away, the habitual hunter had almost become the prey.
It wasn’t that she needed some official title, but if such intimacy happened without clarity between them…
Could she really resolve to give up on Jiang Chi a third time?
She didn’t know.
At least not yet.
When Jiang Chi missed her footing for the fifteenth time this time nearly hitting the ground Wen Wen stepped forward, flipped up the skateboard, and held it while staring directly at Jiang Chi.
Jiang Chi couldn’t quite meet her gaze, afraid Wen Wen would think her a useless burden.
But she felt wronged too, she’d been trying so hard. Never one to hide her expressions, her face mirrored her inner turmoil even more intensely: “Jiejie…”
Is this it? Wen Wen wondered.
“This move is really hard.”
Finally giving up?
“Can you show me again? No, make it three more times.” Jiang Chi approached, grasping Wen Wen’s wrist, resting her chin on Wen Wen’s shoulder with pleading eyes.
Wen Wen froze she wasn’t quitting? Not bothering to conceal her surprise, she asked, “If it’s so difficult, why not just quit?”
Misinterpreting this as Wen Wen finding her too stupid to teach, Jiang Chi shook Wen Wen’s arm. “Don’t give up on me, jiejie. I don’t want to hold you back we promised to fight side by side today.”
Yes, at least that should be the right attitude.
Wen Wen had always been puzzled by one thing.
Back when she was abroad, before Jiang Chi personally called to tell her, she had already heard bits and pieces from her mother in China about Jiang Chi pursuing Su Jing. But she dismissed it all as false.
She was certain that if Jiang Chi had someone he liked, he would have told her immediately. If he was truly that persistent in pursuing someone, he might have even called her for advice.
What she never expected was that Jiang Chi only informed her after he had successfully won the person over.
She still remembered it vividly Jiang Chi’s excited voice over the phone back then: “Wen Wen, a whole year! I finally got the person I like!”
Her heart swelled with joy, then plunged into an icy abyss.
Wen Wen couldn’t understand it. Jiang Chi, who had always been fickle and lost interest in everything within minutes, how could he become so infatuated with someone that he was willing to spend an entire year pursuing them?
She had stayed abroad for a year and one month. She thought Jiang Chi had matured during that time, but after returning home, she realized nothing had changed.
Jiang Chi was still the same Jiang Chi, yet at the same time, he was no longer the same.
“If you had this kind of determination back then, you would have learned it long ago.”
Jiang Chi looked confused. “What do you mean?”
Wen Wen shook her head, assuming he had forgotten. She didn’t feel the need to explain further. Picking up the skateboard, she walked aside and earnestly responded to his earlier question: “I’m not giving up on you. If you want to learn, no matter how many times it takes, I’ll teach you.”
The gloom on Jiang Chi’s face instantly vanished. He blew her a few exaggerated kisses, “Muamua!” before immediately focusing intently on Wen Wen’s demonstration.
Time always flies when you’re immersed in something.
After practicing the last move dozens of times, Jiang Chi dashed over to Wen Wen, who was sitting nearby, wiped the sweat from his face, and grinned. “Sis, I got it!”
His expression was practically begging for praise.
Wen Wen pretended not to notice and handed him a towel from the side. “Wipe your sweat.”
Jiang Chi’s face instantly morphed into that of a pitiful puppy. Instead of taking the towel, he closed his eyes, leaned forward, and pouted. “My arms are sore. You wipe it for me.”
His voice was noticeably sulky.
Wen Wen’s gaze lingered on his face for a moment before she faintly smiled and raised the towel to wipe away the sweat.
Just then, Miss Glasses happened to pass by. Seeing the scene, she leisurely took out her phone, snapped a photo, and sent it to Miss Bangs.
The moment the photo was sent, messages from Miss Bangs exploded in rapid succession.
[OMG, why wasn’t I there for this?! I missed out on a goldmine!]
[See? Couples really do lose the use of their hands!]
[Babe, you took this so well, I love you! The lighting, the atmosphere, absolutely perfect!]
[Damn, you even captured the change in Jiang Chi’s lips! In one shot, they’re drooping, and in the next, they’re curling up! Teacher Jiang must’ve been enjoying it too, huh?!]
…
The messages kept pouring in, Miss Bangs practically incoherent with excitement. But Miss Glasses had already put her phone away and gone about her business.
After wiping Jiang Chi’s face clean, Wen Wen set the towel down. “Since you said you’ve learned it, let’s go through all four moves in one go.”
Jiang Chi: “Okay!”
She immediately ran back to her previous spot and gave Wen Wen an “OK” hand signal before starting to glide on her board.
With agile movements and flawless execution, Jiang Chi performed all the maneuvers smoothly before coming to a stylish sideways stop right in front of Wen Wen, her eyes gleaming brightly.
That look clearly said: Praise me, praise me, praise me!
Wen Wen pretended not to understand, blinking innocently. “What? Is there a problem?”
If Jiang Chi had ears right now, they would definitely be drooping unhappily. “Sister, did I not do well enough?”
“No,” Wen Wen said. “You did great.”
“Then why won’t you praise me?” Jiang Chi blurted out, then seemed to regret it immediately, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt before stepping back onto her board and running her fingers along its edge.
Wen Wen smiled at her. “Oh, so you wanted me to praise you? You should’ve just said so. How would I know otherwise?”
“You’re lying you definitely knew! I don’t want to talk to you anymore. I’m going to practice some more.” Without a hint of pretense, Jiang Chi picked up her board and walked toward the training area though very slowly. Halfway there, she couldn’t help but pause and glance back. Wen Wen was still watching her in the same position, even giving her an encouraging thumbs-up when their eyes met, with no intention of stopping her for praise. Jiang Chi’s expression scrunched up slightly in disappointment, but she said nothing and really went to train.
It must be that Wen Wen thinks I’m still not good enough. Then I’ll practice a few more times no, dozens more!
Wen Wen watched her glide away, the smile lingering on her lips. She remained seated until Jiang Chi had safely completed the routine twice before finally getting up to head to the restroom.
Water rushed from the faucet as a shadow passed beside her. She glanced up at the mirror to see Coach Li leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, looking at her with a meaningful gaze.
Meeting her eyes briefly, Wen Wen turned away, shaking the water off her hands before grabbing a paper towel to dry them. As she tossed it into the trash, the woman beside her finally spoke. “President Wen, I never took you for a coward.”
Ignoring her, Wen Wen moved to leave but was blocked.
“Too important to remember me, President Wen? Don’t recognize me anymore?” Coach Li narrowed her eyes.
“Is there any reason I have to know you?” Wen Wen replied coolly.
Strictly speaking, Wen Wen really didn’t know Coach Li, she didn’t even know her name. Their previous encounters had been anything but pleasant.
The situation wasn’t complicated. Coach Li had challenged Wen Wen after learning that the girl she liked had feelings for her.
Wen Wen paid no attention, stating that she already had someone she liked.
Coach Li refused to believe it and spent some time harassing and targeting Wen Wen before eventually giving up when it proved pointless.
Coach Li laughed angrily. “Still as arrogant as ever, I see.”
She studied the woman in front of her. Even as a woman herself, she couldn’t deny that Wen Wen’s looks and aura easily ranked first among everyone she knew.
Too bad she hated this icy type the most.
Though she loved a challenge, there were different kinds.
“Just arrogant toward you,” Wen Wen said and tried to leave, only to be blocked again. Her gaze turned cold as she looked up.
Anyone else receiving such an icy glare from Wen Wen would have long since fled the scene.
But clearly, Coach Li wasn’t just anyone. She didn’t flinch under Wen Wen’s gaze. Instead, she met her eyes head-on, her expression unwavering. “When you were abroad, you said there was someone you liked. That person was Jiang Chi, wasn’t it?”
Not a question, but a statement.
“Move,” Wen Wen’s eyes darkened another shade.
“So you don’t like her?” Coach Li’s expression suddenly relaxed. “That’s good. I was worried that if you did, I wouldn’t stand a chance against you. You should know, Jiang Chi is exactly my type. She’s practically the perfect ideal in my eyes.”
“Since you seem to know her well, I’ll apologize for earlier. How about you give me some intel on her? When we get married, I’ll make sure you get the best seat at the wedding!”
She looked utterly sincere.
Wen Wen’s hands clenched into fists at her sides, her nails digging into her palms as if she couldn’t even feel the pain. Her gaze was like a frozen tundra, so frigid it seemed a single shard could bury Coach Li where she stood.
“She doesn’t like women. You’d do best not to provoke her.”
“Tsk tsk, look at that expression like you’re about to tear me apart. So scary.” Coach Li theatrically rubbed her arms, feigning thoughtfulness. “Judging by your reaction, if I’m not mistaken, President Wen must have grown up with Miss Jiang. But since Miss Jiang has made it clear she doesn’t like women, you’re afraid of losing even your friendship. So you’ve been secretly pining for her all this time.”
“Tsk tsk, how tragic.” After a brief look of pity, her expression instantly shifted to gossipy curiosity. “How long has President Wen been nursing this crush?”
Wen Wen’s eyes darkened further. She had no intention of entertaining her and stepped past her to leave.
This time, Coach Li didn’t block her. Instead, she followed alongside, chattering away. “Did it start in high school? Middle school? Wait, don’t tell me it was elementary school!”
With each guess, she studied Wen Wen’s expression closely, but to her disappointment, Wen Wen’s face remained completely unreadable.
Sighing, Coach Li was about to say more when the woman ahead suddenly stopped in her tracks. Her gaze turned icy as she stared at a particular spot even colder than when she’d been looking at Coach Li.
Following Wen Wen’s line of sight, she saw Jiang Chi leaning close to Su Jing, her lips moving as she spoke to him.
Watching Wen Wen’s face darken instantly, Coach Li raised an eyebrow, lacing her fingers behind her head with an air of lazy provocation. “Seems President Wen was a ninja turtle in her past life. Even seeing the person she likes being used by some guy, she still doesn’t react.”
“I’m not one to back down. Whether she’s into women or not, how would I know unless I try?”
Wen Wen shot her a sidelong glance. “What do you even know?”
She knew nothing, yet she dared jump to conclusions. If not for Jiang Chi stopping her, Wen Wen would have already made sure Su Jing disappeared from their circle no, from the entire country.
Ignore it, or act?
Wen Wen’s fists clenched again at her sides.
After only a second of hesitation, she took a deep breath, uncurled her fingers, and strode forward.
Coach Li was right about one thing, she shouldn’t just stand by. Even if she could never have Jiang Chi, even if Jiang Chi ended up hating her, she couldn’t let a man like Su Jing stay by her side.
She should have realized that from the start.
In the end, her relationship with Jiang Chi was bound to break apart.
Before she could even reach them, Jiang Chi suddenly let out a relieved sigh, sprang up, and dashed toward her, stopping right in front of her with a pitiful expression.
“Jiejie…” Jiang Chi grabbed her arm, a mix of guilt and overwhelming grievance in her voice. If Wen Wen had just told her before leaving earlier, she wouldn’t have been controlled again.
Only Jiang Chi herself knew that each time she was controlled, the fear inside her grew, making her feel as though the inevitable death from her past life was creeping closer.
“Next time, tell me before you leave, okay? I… I’m scared.”
She was genuinely terrified.
The corners of her eyes were red, her gaze shimmering with unshed tears, her voice choked with emotion.
Wen Wen could tell, she was truly upset and truly afraid.
Seeing her like this, Wen Wen felt the anger in her heart instantly dissolve, replaced only by heartache.
Pulling her aside, Wen Wen gently pinched her earlobe and asked softly, “What are you afraid of? Didn’t you already learn how to skateboard?”
Jiang Chi hugged her, half-joking, half-serious. “I don’t know. I just get scared when I can’t see you.”
Wen Wen patted her back teasingly. “What, do you really want us to become conjoined twins or something?”
“That’s unrealistic.” Jiang Chi nuzzled against her neck and shoulder, acting coquettishly like a small animal. “If jiejie is willing, just let me be your little tail.”
“And if I’m not willing?”
“That’s fine. I’m thick-skinned, I’ll just keep clinging to you anyway.”
In the afternoon, all the guests gathered in front of the skateboarding ramp.
Director Xu raised his megaphone. “So, how do you all feel about your progress?”
Ji Mei spun her skateboard in her hand. “Pretty fun.”
Jin Jinyi said excitedly, “Super thrilling!”
Bai Yuetong: “Barely got the hang of it.”
Jiang Chi: “Because my coach was amazing, I learned really well.”
The other guests (excluding Jiang Chi): “……”
“Oh?” Director Xu, oblivious, asked innocently, “Which coach taught you?”
“Ta-da~” Jiang Chi raised her hands toward Wen Wen. “The one standing right beside me, Coach Wen, whose beauty is the least remarkable thing about her, because she’s absolutely exceptional in every way~”
She even winked at Director Xu.
The director froze for two seconds before cautiously raising a thumbs-up. Seeing Jiang Chi nod subtly, he ventured, “Then, may I ask… Coach Wen, how would you rate Jiang Chi’s performance as a student?”
When Jiang Chi gave him an approving look, Director Xu exhaled in relief. Jiang Chi, however, didn’t notice his expression her shining eyes were fixed on Wen Wen.
She had hinted for praise several times that morning, to no avail. Surely now, Wen Wen would finally compliment her!
“Student Jiang is obedient, diligent, quick-witted, and a natural learner. Teaching someone so talented on my first try makes me feel incredibly lucky.” Wen Wen raised a brow at Jiang Chi.
Her gaze seemed to say, Is this enough praise for you?
Jiang Chi’s eyes sparkled like a puppy’s as she nodded eagerly.
The bangs girl, overcome with excitement, grabbed the glasses girl’s arm again and shook it violently. “Ahhh! They’re totally flirting with their eyes, right?!”
The glasses girl adjusted her spectacles, watching her own arm sway uncontrollably, and replied calmly, “At this rate, do you think they’ll announce their relationship first, or will my arm fall off first?”
Miss Straight Bangs seemed oblivious, still chattering excitedly about something, forcing the bespectacled girl to struggle harder to pull her hand free.
Director Xu cleared his throat and announced the afternoon’s event, the CP Skateboard Relay Race.
The rules are simple there are four moves and four positions. Each couple will take positions 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 respectively for a skateboarding obstacle relay challenge. Rankings will be determined by comparing each couple’s completion time, and the rewards will be announced during the next recording session.
“As for who takes which position, discuss it among yourselves.”
“You’ll have one hour to practice.”
As soon as Director Xu finished speaking, the crew swiftly brought out the necessary props, quickly filling the previously empty space with various obstacles.
The challenger in Position 1 must use the first move, “Caring,” to weave through 10 low obstacles consecutively. The challenger in Position 2 must use the second move, “Tic-Tac,” to navigate around another 10 low obstacles. The challenger in Position 3 must perform the third move, an “Ollie,” to jump over three medium-height obstacles. Finally, the challenger in Position 4 must execute the fourth move, a “Shuvit,” to clear a broken bridge prop.
“The first two are relatively easy, but the last two might be a bit challenging for beginners,” Su Jing remarked, glancing at Director Xu. “Isn’t one hour a bit tight?”
Jin Jinyi chimed in, “So compared to the other two teams with experienced skaters, doesn’t that put us at a disadvantage?”
Director Xu grinned. “Aren’t the coaches here? Just ask if you don’t understand. Good luck, everyone~”
Ji Mei turned to Su Jing beside her. “We already lost once earlier, shouldn’t we redeem ourselves this time? Don’t forget our agreement.”
Su Jing raised a brow. “I’m fine. Just don’t hold me back.”
The last part was muttered under his breath.
Bai Yuetong fretted, “What should we do?”
Jin Jinyi shrugged. “What else can we do? Leave it to fate, I guess. Who knows what next week’s reward will be…”
Jiang Chi sidled up to Wen Wen. “Sis, these moves are easy for you, right?”
Wen Wen nodded.
Jiang Chi: “Then you might have to teach me. I might need some practice, I can manage on flat ground, but obstacles might be tricky. It’s my first time, after all…”
She blinked, feigning pitifulness.
“So helpless,” Wen Wen murmured, leaning close to her ear, lips curling slightly. “When have I ever refused you?”
You have!
Just earlier, you wouldn’t let me kiss you!
!!
Jiang Chi shook her head violently. Why was she even thinking about that?!
Desperate to banish the thought, she clung to Wen Wen’s arm and cooed, “Sis, you’re the best~”
Wen Wen’s gaze darkened as she studied the faint blush creeping up Jiang Chi’s earlobes, pressing a hand against the restless head nuzzling her shoulder. “What’s going on in here?”
Jiang Chi stiffened for a split second, blinking rapidly before swallowing hard.
What the could she hear my thoughts?!
“Nothing!” Jiang Chi straightened abruptly and grabbed her skateboard, marching toward the starting line of the obstacle course. “Sis, let’s hurry and practice. Time’s ticking.”
Wen Wen watched the girl walking stiffly, her lips twitching in amusement.
Standing at the starting point, Jiang Chi set down her board. “Let’s go! I’ll be just like before, whatever you say, I’ll follow!”
Wen Wen studied her for a moment before leaning in again, her voice a whisper like a spell. “What exactly is Cadet Jiang thinking? These earlobes are practically dripping with blood.”
Jiang Chi pretended to be nonchalant as she subtly shifted to the side, fanning her neck. “It’s really hot today! Sister, let’s hurry up and practice time is limited!”
Her expression was utterly sincere.
Don’t ask any more questions! Jiang Chi roared internally. She would rather die than admit the truth!
Wen Wen nodded thoughtfully, her tone casual. “We can practice, but you have to focus. Otherwise, you might fall and get hurt.”
Jiang Chi stood ramrod straight, raising a fist in front of her chest with determination. “I promise I’ll focus!”
Then, as if remembering something, she hesitated guiltily. “Um… Sister, you have to keep your eyes on me. No looking at others, and no leaving.”
Her dark, star-like eyes blinked pitifully.
Wen Wen’s heart melted. “Alright, I’ll wait for you at the finish line.”
Jiang Chi shook her head. “No! You have to stay by my side the whole time!”
“Are you a child?” Wen Wen laughed.
Jiang Chi nuzzled against her, eyes sparkling. “Can I be your little kid?”
Wen Wen: “Would you stop even if I said no?”
Jiang Chi: “Nope. You know me, I’ve got thick skin.”
After some discussion, Jiang Chi took positions 1 and 3, while Wen Wen took 2 and 4.
Since Jiang Chi learned quickly, mastering the moves in just half an hour, she had Wen Wen help her practice positions 2 and 4 as well.
Swooping down from the broken bridge, Jiang Chi slid up to Wen Wen. This time, she didn’t hint, she just stared straight at her with bright, expectant eyes. “Sister, praise me!”
Wen Wen patted her head. “So impressive!”
Jiang Chi happily nuzzled against her hand.
Wen Wen: “You’re acting more and more like a puppy.”
Jiang Chi: “I’ll be whatever Sister says I am.”
Just then, a voice cut in from behind them, laced with restrained anger.
“Are you two done practicing?”
Jiang Chi and Wen Wen exchanged a glance, silently agreeing to ignore him as they walked back to the starting point together.
Watching their retreating figures, Su Jing’s clenched fist twitched before he forced his fingers to relax. He strode forward, blocking their path.
Still reeling from her earlier restraint, Jiang Chi wasn’t sure how to face him.
Su Jing, however, was unfazed. He stated his purpose outright. “Miss Wen, how about a rematch?”
Wen Wen refused without hesitation. “Unless you beat me the first time, I won’t give you a second chance.”
The implication was clear: losers didn’t deserve another shot.
Su Jing’s expression turned peculiar, though at a glance, it might have seemed like a smile.
“Miss Wen, are you afraid of losing?”
Wen Wen: “I don’t fall for taunts.”
“Won’t work,” Jiang Chi chimed in. “A loser stays a loser forever.”
Su Jing opened his mouth to retort, but Jiang Chi cut him off with a warning. “Instead of wasting time, why don’t you go practice? Stop following us we’re busy.”
With that, she pulled Wen Wen away.
As the whistle blew, the CP skateboard relay officially began. The first-leg contestants stood at the starting line, poised and ready.
At the second whistle, the sound of skateboards scraping against the ground erupted in succession.
Glancing at Jiang Chi, who was already in the lead, Su Jing shouted at Ji Mei, “Hurry up! Go faster!”
His sudden yell startled Ji Mei, causing her to stumble off her board and have to restart from the beginning.
Su Jing frowned.
Meanwhile, Jiang Chi and Bai Yuetong smoothly handed off to their teammates.
The gap between Jiang Chi and Bai Yuetong wasn’t that large initially, but once Wen Wen took the stage, she immediately left Jin Jinyi half a lap behind, maintaining this advantage until the end of the race.
Team Jiang-Wen secured a solid first place. As for Team Su-Ji, although Ji Mei made an early mistake, Su Jing, being the experienced one, quickly caught up to Jin Jinyi and took second place, leaving Team Jin-Bai in third.
Director Xu remarked, “It seems everyone has quite a talent for skateboarding. Great job on the exciting competition!”
“This recording session is now over. Later, we’ll all film a closing message, and after individual interviews, you’re free to head home.”
As the name suggests, individual interviews were personal Q&A sessions with the guests.
After wrapping up the final shots, Jiang Chi was the first to enter the interview room. The staff mainly asked about her performance on the show, naturally including some questions about her CP pairing, and even set a few traps in their inquiries. However, Jiang Chi skillfully navigated all of them.
When she stepped out of the interview room, her heart brimming with joy as she searched for Wen Wen, she was told that Wen Wen had already left.
