- Chapter 7 - The Little Skirt Has Been Put On
“Baby, put it on,”
“Put it on,”
“Put it on.”
“Put it on!”
Urging voices echoed beside Lin Qing’an’s ears. The thin piece of fabric in his hands felt burning hot to the touch, and yet he couldn’t even throw it away.
“Baby, put it on, I want to see.”
Listening to Xie Tingchuan’s seductive tone, Lin Qing’an nodded haphazardly and stammered, “I’ll go to the bathroom to change.”
That trip took a lengthy twenty minutes.
Waiting anxiously, Xie Tingchuan felt as rigid as an iron poker, yet Lin Qing’an still hadn’t returned.
Meanwhile, inside the bathroom, Lin Qing’an was also facing a predicament.
The size of the skirt was an absolute dead-on fit. Looking at himself in the mirror, he could definitely qualify as a stunning beauty. Lin Qing’an couldn’t help feeling a bit narcissistic—as expected of me.
However, when his gaze swept across his flat chest, the smile on his face froze, leaving him momentarily at a loss.
What can I use to fill it out? His gaze swept rapidly across the bathroom: body wash, soap, towels…
Not a single thing was of any use.
Go find something in the bedroom? Lin Qing’an quickly ransacked his memory, but there was nothing around the house that could simulate anything resembling that shape.
Fidgeting and stalling for as long as possible, Lin Qing’an finally walked back in front of the camera as if marching to his own execution, shuffling step by reluctant step.
“Baby, you’re so gorgeous.”
Xie Tingchuan’s voice was husky, and his deadpan praise resonated deeply with Lin Qing’an, who proudly gave the camera a self-satisfied spin.
The hem of the skirt, which barely brushed his thighs, flared up, leaving his legs faintly visible and driving Xie Tingchuan to the brink of sensory overload.
Empty?
It’s empty!
Xie Tingchuan’s brain suffered an instant short-circuit, unable to comprehend how Lin Qing’an could possibly be going commando.
After all, no girl wearing an ultra-short skirt would go without underwear; that was common sense.
Yet right in front of him, there was one who did.
So there was only one possibility: she did it on purpose!
Was she doing this deliberately for me to see?
Realizing this, Xie Tingchuan’s breathing fell out of rhythm. He wished he could travel straight through the internet cable right to his beloved’s side and peel off the clothes he had gifted her, piece by piece.
Or better yet, leave them hanging precariously on her body, fluttering and dancing with every sway of her movements.
“Baby, I want to see you. Right now.”
Stepping up to the phone screen, Lin Qing’an asked, “Didn’t we agree earlier not to meet up yet for the time being?”
“You’re too wonderful, and I can’t wait to see you.” Seated on his bed, Xie Tingchuan stared unblinkingly at the video projection on the wall, the black lace choker wrapped around his slender neck lending an extra touch of enchantment to his pure-sounding voice.
Lin Qing’an flatly refused, “No way, now is not the time to meet.”
“I’ve even put on the skirt, but my assignment for today isn’t finished yet. I’m going to go do my group project now. Bye-bye.”
With that, Lin Qing’an abruptly hung up the phone, completely ignoring whatever reaction Xie Tingchuan might have. Tossing the lace choker casually onto his bedside table, Lin Qing’an stood before the tall dressing mirror.
“I’m so pretty. If there really were a woman who looked like this, I’d definitely chase after her and make her my wife.” Narcissistically touching his face, Lin Qing’an stretched out a hand to cover half of it while snapping a photo, unable to hold back his own self-praise.
“I’m so pretty. Look at these long legs long and fair. Look at this waist so slender I want to pinch it myself. And look at these breasts… wait, I don’t have breasts.”
By the end, Lin Qing’an sounded rather regretful. How can such a pretty photo lack breasts?
After dwelling on his regret for just a moment, Lin Qing’an couldn’t resist the urge to show off, but who should he send it to?
Flipping through his WeChat contacts, should he send it to Mom and Dad?
No way. With Mom’s love for watching the world burn, she’d definitely spread it to all the neighbors, relatives, and school friends.
Send it to Duan Xuan and Qin Zhiyi?
No, absolutely not. If these two troublemakers found out, he’d undoubtedly end up being relentlessly teased.
Who on earth should he send it to?
Lin Qing’an’s scrolling finger paused on the avatar of the person he had just finished a video call with. That’ll do.
Consider it a perk for him.
“Tap, send.”
Once sent, Lin Qing’an even deliberately altered his voice to sound affected and coy as he asked, “Ah-Chuan, do you think I look good in a skirt?”
The other party didn’t reply. After waiting a little while, Lin Qing’an found it boring and lost all desire to share.
Changing back into a white short-sleeve shirt and shorts, he sat down clumsily at his desk and buried himself in hard work. Today’s assignment had to be finished; the professor was going to spot-check it tomorrow.
Meanwhile, upstairs from Lin Qing’an, a one-man melodrama starring Xie Tingchuan was playing out in full swing.
On the wall was the projected video recording, and echoing in his ears was the looped audio of Lin Qing’an’s singing.
Xie Tingchuan’s already surging affection instantly transformed into a raging tornado upon seeing the photo Lin Qing’an opened, churning his heart into a complete mess.
By the end, fine beads of sweat trickled down his cheeks, leaving the entire room filled with nothing more than his rapid and disordered breathing.
