- Transmigrated into the Zerg Race: Didn't We Agree to Call Off the Engagement?
- Chapter 11 - We Want a Child
“Why are you so unhappy?”
“Your Excellency!”
The moment the door opened, Julian flew toward Sirius like a butterfly. He threw his arms around Sirius’s shoulders and began to sob quietly.
Julian, who had been restless with worry, had finally received a message from Sirius. Without a moment’s hesitation, he canceled all his appointments and rushed straight to Sirius’s home.
In fact, from the day Sirius lost contact, Julian had dropped everything. He had searched everywhere alongside the guard Zerg and even petitioned the Master Brain for assistance.
Perhaps because a single S-rank male was not deemed important enough to the Master Brain, it had not responded. The Zerg were left to conduct the search on their own.
“Your Excellency, where did you go? Are you hurt? Why did you not reply to my messages for so many days?”
“If you want to marry Lex, then marry him. But you must let Julian be your female attendant. You must, must remember Julian. Do not cast me aside, alright?”
Julian seemed truly heartbroken. Not only was he proactively yielding his position, but he had also dropped his usual flirtatious tone. Even his crying lacked its former calculated, fragile charm.
A clear fluid ran from beneath his nose, tears and mucus mixing together. However, Sirius no longer had the heart to scrutinize whether Julian was being sincere.
He gently stroked Julian’s back. “It is alright. There was just a small accident.”
A small accident.
Shortly before this, Sirius had returned to the Central Star. After having Cyril change his clothes, he had firmly escorted him back to his father’s home on the Central Star. His father had received Sirius with kindness and warmth, and the two Zerg had discussed matters in detail for a while.
Upon learning that Sirius had saved Cyril, the father was even more impressed. He praised Sirius as the most astounding male of the new generation. He expressed regret that Sirius was only now visiting the Central Star and insisted they spend more time together in the future.
Sirius handled the attempts to win him over with practiced ease, offering cautious praise. Along the way, he managed to extract information that the Zerg Cyril was supposed to marry served in the Sixth Fleet. He even found himself thinking idly that it was lucky Cyril had been cast out, as the other party clearly did not know he was a male.
Having dealt with everything, Sirius finally arrived home. If Julian had been just a bit earlier, the two might have met at the entrance.
“Julian.”
Without waiting, Sirius embraced Julian and led him into the bathroom. The sound of rushing water was constant, hitting their clothes directly.
Julian was not wearing specially made clothing. Once the fabric of his pajamas became wet, it clung to his body, revealing every curve.
The male, however, did not admire the view as he usually would. He proceeded almost numbly, helping Julian out of his wet clothes before stripping off his own waterproof work uniform. It was only then that he realized his outer jacket was missing.
Perhaps Cyril was still wearing it? He did not remember. It did not matter.
Thinking dizzily, Sirius engaged in no further conversation with Julian and went straight to the point.
“Your Excellency, Master! Please, do not be in such a hurry!”
Julian leaned back against the cold tiles. Sirius, seemingly annoyed by his constant movement, picked him up directly and carried him toward the bed in that position.
Showering seemed to have become a mandatory ritual. As long as the ritual was observed and they were drenched in water, everything that followed happened naturally.
Sirius’s kisses fell densely upon Julian’s neck. The damp air wrapped the two Zerg tightly. Julian kept his mouth open, unable to move for a long time. The legs wrapped around Sirius’s waist slipped down, only to be placed back by Sirius. He leaned down and whispered into Julian’s ear.
“Julian, do you think I should have a cub?”
“I should have a home, should I not?”
Julian’s eyes slowly regained focus. He squinted, looking at Sirius in a daze, before his eyes suddenly widened.
The high-ranking male showed not a shred of pity for the poor A-rank female. The intimate words, embraces, and kisses from before had all vanished. He seemed like a completely different person, merely whispering into Julian’s ear repeatedly. “I must have a home.”
“I want a child. I want a child.”
“Yes, we want a child!”
Soon, Julian lost consciousness. When he opened his eyes again, it was already the next morning.
Given the Zerg constitution, an A-rank female’s physical recovery should have been exceptionally strong. Yet, unexpectedly, Julian found himself unable to move.
He opened his mouth and squeezed out a few broken, hoarse sounds. Sirius quickly hurried over, looking at him with a beaming smile. “Julian, you are awake.”
The male was very gentle, but Julian trembled. When the male approached and reached out to stroke his face, Julian instinctively flinched. Sirius froze.
Julian immediately tried his best to lift his head, rubbing against Sirius’s hand. He struggled to find his voice. “Master.”
He was somewhat weak.
Sirius stroked his head and took out some medicine. “This is from the medical kit. Open your mouth.”
Julian obediently swallowed it and soon began to feel better. He sat up and leaned against Sirius.
Sirius ruffled his hair as if nothing had happened. “Do you still have to go to work today?”
Julian pouted. “While you were away, I delayed so much time and held up other Zerg. I must go today.”
“Then go. Do not worry about me. I look forward to seeing your new play. I heard you are going to try playing a male? That is a great experiment.”
Julian looked down and smiled. He hooked his arms around Sirius’s neck and tilted his head up for a kiss. The two shared a sweet moment for a while longer before washing up and eating. After a lingering parting kiss, Julian left. As soon as he was gone, Sirius’s face immediately turned cold, and he began to gasp for breath.
He could not stop the urge to gag.
After crouching in front of the toilet for half an hour, Sirius forced himself up and collapsed onto the sofa. He tried to empty his mind and close his eyes to get some sleep.
That was right; he had not slept last night. In fact, he had not slept for several days.
Although he was not yet tired and felt quite energetic, he knew he could not go on like this. He would break down. But what if he did? How much further could he break down?
And so, Sirius opened his eyes again. He stared blankly at the ceiling, thinking of nothing, just gazing straight ahead.
After a long time, his optical computer buzzed.
He quickly looked over, and his brain finally began to function. He saw who had sent the message.
It was Lex. As his official fiancé, Lex often spoke to him. Although Sirius had not replied in a long time, Lex persisted in messaging him every day.
He asked Sirius what he wanted. When the male did not reply, he said he would just bring everything back. He shared the sights and scenery he encountered. When Sirius still did not reply, Lex changed his style.
This time, he had even sent photos of himself, taken from flattering angles and wearing special clothing.
Sirius did not admire the flesh. Instead, he slapped his own head in a moment of realization.
He had almost forgotten; he still needed to break off the engagement with Lex. Thus, he sent a brief message.
[Sorry Lex, there was too much going on and I forgot to reply to you.]
[It is no trouble, Your Excellency. Your feelings are the priority. Do you like me wearing this? Perhaps I can try more, for example.]
[Apply for a cancellation of the engagement.]
The two messages were sent simultaneously. Before Sirius could even finish reading, Lex quickly withdrew his previous message. After a long pause, he also withdrew the photo before sending a new reply.
[Apologies, Your Excellency. An enemy situation has suddenly arisen, and I must go into combat. I am very sorry for disturbing you with such things. I will attend to my duties now; it will not happen again.]
Lex’s avatar turned gray.
Sirius rubbed his brow, feeling somewhat unhappy.
Why did something have to come up now? How troublesome. It seemed this matter could not be easily resolved online; he would have to wait for Lex to return.
Sirius began to gasp for breath again. He sat up immediately, poured a glass of water, and gulped it down. Only then did he let out a long breath.
He should do something else now. He had replied to all the Zerg who cared for him and spoke to him. His superior had told him to rest today and not go to the research institute. So what should he do?
He began to feel anxious, scrolling aimlessly through videos on his optical computer.
A heartwarming father and cub video? Boring, not interested.
A loving couple? Boring, swipe away.
A confession of love to His Excellency Sirius? Boring, swi—
Wait, report this one.
Sirius suddenly found some amusement. He began searching for his own name across various websites, apps, and platforms. He reported every single post he saw, including news from the time of his birth.
Soon, another message arrived on his optical computer.
[Sirius, is something wrong? Have you encountered something that made you unhappy?]
[I am very worried about you. I am at the Central Star right now. Can I see you?]
Sirius felt a bit dazed. He did not want to meet Zerg he did not know. But before replying, he looked at the sender’s name by some strange impulse.
Elias.
Sirius’s mentor.
And so, Sirius agreed.
Their meeting place was a small book corner located under a large tree in a park. By the time Sirius arrived, Elias was already waiting.
He stood just outside the shadows, looking back and forth toward the other side. Sirius stood behind him. The golden sunlight spilled evenly over Elias’s long, silver-white hair. As a gust of wind blew, the tree shadows dappled, masking some of his radiance.
Sirius instinctively took a step forward, stepping on a branch.
A pair of eyes as beautiful as violets suddenly darted toward Sirius. Then, the icy mountain instantly melted. Elias smiled and waved at him.
He wore a white top paired with simple casual trousers. He looked youthful and vibrant. It was impossible to tell that he had once held the newly hatched Sirius and had been responsible for coaxing him into eating his eggshell.
And Sirius?
A crisp white shirt, casual straight-leg trousers, and a practiced, handsome smile.
Yes, perfectly flawless.
Sirius walked slowly toward Elias, his eyes curving into a smile. Just as he was about to speak, his vision suddenly went dark.
He was pulled into Elias’s embrace.
“Sirius, my poor Sirius. What has happened to you? Why are you so unhappy, my Sirius?”
