Transmigrated into the Villainous Scummy Alpha in a Talent Show Novel - Chapter 68
“I didn’t… okay, I was curious, so I asked Sister Pei, and then she told me.”
The girl in front of me lowered her head, revealing only her pink hair and well-behaved bangs, already so familiar that just hearing her tone made it clear she was extremely shy. With her hands held behind her back by me, her body leaned even closer. Lin Qi chuckled softly, “What did Sister Pei say ‘henpecked’ means?”
“It means the wife is very strict”
After whispering this, as if suddenly realizing something, Jiang Ming lifted her head. Her fox-like eyes were moist and bright, glistening with tears from embarrassment. “Am I very strict with you?”
It was even more amusing. The adorable girl had probably only noticed the word “wife” earlier. Lin Qi shook her head reassuringly, “Not strict. It’s just that I’m willing to listen to you.”
“Hmph, you weren’t so obedient earlier when I told you to go back to the dorm.”
Now she was pouting. Lin Qi let go of Jiang Ming’s hands and instead wrapped her arms around her waist, pressing her against the large pillar behind them. She leaned in until their breaths mingled. “Obedience depends on the situation. For example, right now, I want to kiss you. Should I really ask, ‘Can I kiss you?'”
Pinned entirely against the pillar, Jiang Ming’s senses were filled with the distinct woody fragrance that belonged to Lin Qi, cool yet tender. At her height, her lowered gaze naturally fell on the open collar of Lin Qi’s shirt, the loosely tied necktie revealing smooth, fair skin and the seductive hollow of her collarbone…
Whatever Lin Qi was saying, Jiang Ming could no longer hear.
Then came the gentle pressure on her lips not the slightest bit rough, as if Lin Qi was wholly focused on this single act. Jiang Ming could feel Lin Qi’s sincerity, her attentiveness, even the hand cushioning the back of her head against the pillar to prevent any discomfort.
Holding that slender waist a little tighter, Lin Qi closed her eyes, kissing her sensitive and fragile lover with utmost tenderness. Their soft lips met, carrying a faint sweetness that seeped into their hearts.
This was a blind spot for surveillance. Next to them was the darkened practice room of the Veil Team, while the Thermos Team was on the other side. Trainees returning to the dorm would usually take the well-lit path. Besides, she had already arranged with Xia Lian to have An Zizi meet her by the water dispenser downstairs.
The water dispenser was directly beneath this blind spot. Logically, most people would take this shorter route, especially since An Zizi was naturally aloof and preferred to avoid crowds.
This was the first time they’d be kissing in front of someone else. Honestly, it was still a little embarrassing.
Lin Qi had even hesitated about this sudden plan. After all, kissing Jiang Ming until An Zizi arrived could easily take ten minutes or more. But Xia Lian thought it was a good idea, to remove herself from the equation and let An Zizi face only Lin Qi, to see how she’d react.
Only then would they know whether An Zizi cared about her or Lin Qi.
Returning to the moment, Lin Qi unconsciously swallowed, then pressed Jiang Ming’s head slightly closer. The softness of her fluffy hair was exquisite. Satisfied, she slipped past slightly parted lips.
Perhaps the movement was too sudden, because the girl in her arms suddenly went weak in the knees. Feeling Jiang Ming’s body sag, Lin Qi tightened her grip around her waist, but it wasn’t enough. So she lifted a knee to give her some support.
The current position had become somewhat awkward. Lin Qi, relying on her excellent sense of balance, braced one knee against the pillar and stood on one foot. Jiang Ming, in an even more precarious state, was practically sitting on her knee, her eyes already moist as she tilted her head back slightly, seemingly overwhelmed with shyness and embarrassment.
After licking Jiang Ming’s lower lip, Lin Qi pulled back slightly only their lips parted, while their positions remained unchanged.
The hand at Jiang Ming’s waist lifted, brushing aside the few unruly strands of hair that had fallen forward and gently tucking them behind her ear. The softness of her ear was irresistible, and Lin Qi unconsciously gave it a little pinch, causing Jiang Ming to lower her head even further in shyness.
The hand at the back of Jiang Ming’s head remained in place, while the other cupped her lowered face along the line of her jaw. The bones beneath the delicate skin felt slightly prominent to the touch. Even after two months, though her appetite had improved somewhat, she was still heartbreakingly thin.
Unfazed, Lin Qi focused intently on those full lips naturally rosy, with a slightly upturned cupid’s bow, like a sweet and soft candy. Unlike Jiang Ming’s outwardly cool and resilient demeanor, her lips looked tender and vulnerable.
Driven by both her plan and sheer craving, Lin Qi watched Jiang Ming’s slightly trembling gaze before lowering her head once more to kiss that softness.
In the summer heat, Jiang Ming wore a dress as light as gauze. With the breeze from the window on the right, she should have felt cool, but now, her entire body seemed to burn, especially her lower abdomen, where something unfamiliar had begun to seep out.
Restless and uneasy about this strange new sensation, her hands clutched tightly at the fabric of Lin Qi’s shirt. A closer look would reveal her fingers trembling faintly, much like her soul, quivering as if she were kissing a deity, barely managing to hold herself together.
Though, without Lin Qi’s supporting knee beneath her, she might have already collapsed from weak legs.
The motion-activated lights around them had dimmed, leaving the surroundings dark. Pressed against those soft lips, Lin Qi could hear slightly heavy breathing and almost laughed. Weren’t they both experiencing their first relationship? Why did it seem like she was the shameless one?
She felt no shyness about kissing, nor did her legs weaken.
Was this the innate difference between an alpha and an omega?
Sucking gently on Jiang Ming’s lower lip, Lin Qi suddenly felt an unprecedented shudder run through her body. She paused the grip on her shirt tightened further, before Jiang Ming lowered her head, her voice strained with restraint. “D-don’t move”
Oddly, a warm, damp sensation spread against Lin Qi’s thigh. Her dress pants weren’t thick, and the material was soft enough for her to feel the trembling legs clamped around her, along with the unmistakable wetness. She seemed to understand.
“Nuo Nuo”
Before she could finish, Jiang Ming buried her face in the crook of Lin Qi’s neck, as if too embarrassed to even look at her. Lin Qi swallowed the words she didn’t even know how to say and let the hand at Jiang Ming’s nave slide down to her waist.
Originally, she had only intended to provide a steadier support for someone unsteady on their feet, but she forgot that the lower back was an extremely sensitive area for Jiang Ming. Accompanied by even more intense trembling, Lin Qi even heard her muffled moans of restraint. The shirt grew increasingly wrinkled, and she could distinctly feel waves of heat against her thighs.
“Don’t, don’t talk… take me back to the dorm.”
The voice was tearful, soft and vulnerable, tugging at Lin Qi’s heartstrings. She lifted her knee slightly, taking advantage of Jiang Ming’s momentary rise to quickly turn around and carry her on her back. Abandoning any prior plans, she decided to head straight back to the dorm.
But that slight movement seemed to be the last straw. The person on her back suddenly clung to her tightly, as if unable to hold back any longer. Jiang Ming trembled violently, as though she had just undergone some strenuous activity. With her neck tightly embraced, Lin Qi felt the damp heat against her lower back.
Unless Jiang Ming was on her period, this situation could only mean one thing…
Rushing back to the dorm in a frenzy, though she wasn’t entirely sure why she was in such a hurry, Lin Qi felt her heart ache at the sound of the sobbing cries near her ear. She was desperate to return and comfort her, to reassure her that it was nothing.
After placing the still-crying girl onto the bed, Lin Qi noticed the damp patch on the back of her own shirt. The sudden absence of warmth left her feeling slightly cold. She hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words to offer comfort, but before she could speak, Jiang Ming wordlessly got up, grabbed her pajamas from the closet, and fled into the bathroom like a startled deer.
Given what had just happened, a shower was probably necessary.
Sighing, Lin Qi’s gaze inadvertently fell onto the bed where Jiang Ming had been sitting. A faint wet mark caught her eye, and to her own surprise, her face flushed. She grabbed a tissue and wiped it clean.
Then she thought of Xia Lian, whose plans she had abruptly disrupted. She wondered if An Zizi’s class had ended yet. Not wanting to break her promise, Lin Qi figured Jiang Ming would likely be back by the time she finished showering. So she knocked on the bathroom door and called out clearly, “Nuo Nuo, I’m stepping out for a bit. I’ll be back soon.”
Leaving the dorm, she headed to the water dispenser area, where Xia Lian was already waiting with her arms crossed. Dressed in her usual black attire and baseball cap, only her tightly pressed lips were visible.
As Lin Qi approached, she witnessed the full spectrum of emotions in Xia Lian’s eyes from excitement to disappointment.
“You came? Did An-jiejie ask you to tell me we don’t need to talk anymore?”
“What are you thinking?”
After what had just happened, Lin Qi was genuinely thirsty. She calmly poured herself a cup of hot water, took a sip, and then looked at the visibly anxious Xia Lian. “I didn’t see An-jiejie. Jiang Ming suddenly felt unwell, so I took her back to the dorm.”
“You didn’t see her? But all the lights in the classroom are off now. Where else could An-jiejie be? I thought she was with you.”
“Huh?”
Confused, Lin Qi stepped outside the building and, sure enough, the entire structure was dark. This meant all the trainees and teachers had already left, yet neither of them had seen An Zizi.
Where could she have gone at this hour?
Come to think of it, An Zizi’s group had practiced the latest. During dinner, a gloomy Wei Xuanyue had passed by them, complaining about how difficult their group’s choreography was and how intense the training had become. She mentioned that An-jiejie had suddenly become much stricter, leaving the entire group including the teacher struggling.
“Did An-jiejie get your message?”
“She must have received my message. She always replies instantly. Even though she didn’t respond this time, she definitely saw it.”
Frowning tightly, Lin Qi said, “Alright, I’ll search floors one to four, you take five to seven. If anyone finds her, we’ll meet at the water dispenser.”
“How will I let you know if I find her?”
Good question. After thinking for a moment, Lin Qi glanced around and said, “Just set off the smoke alarm.”
“Can we even do that?”
“Ah, doesn’t matter. Finding Teacher An is more important right now.”
With that, the two began a thorough search. Lin Qi headed to the fourth floor first, it was where their fifth group trained. After all, the last time An Zizi had been seen by anyone was definitely on the fourth floor.
Whether it was luck or not, the moment she stepped out of the elevator and stomped to activate the motion-sensor lights, Lin Qi spotted An Zizi collapsed behind a pillar. Her face was pale, her lips devoid of color. Good grief, had An Zizi and Xia Lian made a pact to skip dinner together?
Shaking her head helplessly, Lin Qi hoisted An Zizi onto her back and casually triggered the smoke alarm. Instantly, water poured down like rain. Shaking her head to clear the droplets, she carried An Zizi down to the first floor.
The moment she saw the lifeless figure on Lin Qi’s back, Xia Lian’s eyes reddened, a mix of panic and fear in her voice. “What, what happened?”
“Not sure. Probably shock. Let’s get Teacher An to the hospital.”
Fortunately, once the smoke alarm went off, the production crew quickly sent people over. Xia Lian, being petite, couldn’t carry An Zizi, who was about the same height as Lin Qi, so Lin Qi had to continue helping.
Truthfully, she wanted to return to the dorm to comfort Jiang Ming, but An Zizi’s situation was urgent. After loading her into the car, Lin Qi borrowed Xia Lian’s phone.
“Jiang Jiang, Teacher An fainted accidentally. I have to help take her to the hospital. It’ll be really late by the time I get back, and I didn’t bring my keys, so I’ll just stay at a hotel tonight. See you tomorrow morning, good night!”
She blurted everything out in one go. Initially, she had wanted to affectionately call her “Nuo Nuo,” but a selfish part of her didn’t want others to know Jiang Ming’s nickname, so she changed it at the last moment.
She had expected Jiang Ming to at least ask concernedly what had happened to Teacher An, or perhaps jealously demand, “Why were you with Teacher An?” But Jiang Ming said nothing, only softly uttering an “Mhm” before hanging up.
Dazedly handing the phone back to Xia Lian, who was tending to An Zizi in the back seat, Lin Qi frowned. Was it her imagination?
Why did Jiang Ming’s voice sound like she was on the verge of tears just now?
But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t recall the exact tone. Lowering her gaze, Lin Qi touched her now-dry dress pants, her heart uneasy.
Leaving like this even though she had a valid reason, Jiang Ming was so sensitive and clearly uninformed about such matters. Should she have stayed to comfort her?
Outside the window, neon lights flickered, mirroring Lin Qi’s rapidly beating, restless heart.
