- Chapter 14 - Become My Slave
“It’s you again,” the female officer said, sitting in her office chair as she checked off Ding Moyan’s personal information on a form.
Ding Moyan: “Yeah, what a coincidence. It’s me again.”
“Explain how you got reported this time for harassing an Omega in the restroom.”
“I didn’t. I just had diarrhea, and my legs went numb from squatting too long. When I stood up, I accidentally fell on her. That’s the truth,” Ding Moyan explained earnestly, trying to clear up the misunderstanding.
The officer smirked. “You really think I’d believe that?”
Ding Moyan felt a headache coming on. She slumped in defeat, too exhausted to argue.
“Instead of questioning me, why not ask Ye Ye that Omega, why she was sneaking around in the female Alpha restroom?”
“You could check the surveillance footage. I didn’t drag her in there.”
That was a fair point. The officer decided to wait for Ye Ye’s statement before proceeding with the case.
An hour later,
Ye Ye walked in, clutching her back and sniffling as she approached the officer. She had just returned from the hospital after getting an X-ray. According to the doctor, her back was only bruised, with no bone damage. A medicated patch and some rest would suffice.
“Hello, Miss Ye Ye.”
“Hello, Officer,” Ye Ye replied with a forced sweet smile.
The officer’s expression softened clearly charmed by the sugary tone.
“Ye Ye, we called you in to ask about your injury… and why you were in the female Alpha restroom.” The officer kept her voice gentle, careful not to embarrass the Omega.
Ye Ye explained, “She lost her balance and fell on me.”
Her statement matched Ding Moyan’s, but it still sounded ridiculous.
“As for why I was in the female Alpha restroom, it’s because I noticed Ding Moyan didn’t have her bag. We’re classmates, and she usually keeps tissues in there.” Ye Ye shifted slightly, swinging her legs. “I was just bringing her some. Didn’t Mo Yan tell you that?”
She blinked, her eyes glistening like a lost fawn in the forest, innocent and pure.
Like most people drawn to beauty, the officer’s heart melted.
Ding Moyan scoffed. If she hadn’t lived through it herself, she might’ve believed Ye Ye’s act of kindness that they were the best of friends.
The officer was about to say “no,” but seeing Ye Ye’s fragile, well-meaning expression, she couldn’t bring herself to shatter the illusion of their “sincere friendship.”
Instead, she reassured, “She did mention it. I just wanted to confirm.”
“Even so,” the officer closed her notebook, “the injury was caused by you, Ding Moyan. Under interstellar law, harming an Omega requires compensation and care.”
“My proposal is this: Ding Moyan will cover Ye Ye’s medical expenses and take care of her during her recovery. What do you think?”
“I’m completely satisfied with this arrangement,” Ye Ye replied instantly, batting her lashes as countless mischievous ideas bubbled up inside her.
Ding Moyan thought for a moment before replying, “I agree to cover the medical expenses. As for the care aspect, I believe professional caregivers would be more suitable. I’ll hire several servants to take care of Ye Ye.”
Her response was thorough, leaving the female police officer no room for criticism.
“I disagree with what you said,” Ye Ye said with a smile, looking at Ding Moyan. “Only hands-on care can truly demonstrate sincerity.”
“I think so too. Personal involvement shows sincerity. Many similar cases here have been resolved this way,” the police officer added before continuing, “If we can’t reach an agreement, we might have to invite both parties’ parents to mediate.”
But her words carried a subtle hint of threat.
[Just agree, Host.]
The system circled gleefully, though it quickly resumed a normal tone upon seeing Ding Moyan’s nearly cracking expression.
[If you agree, you’ll avoid an upcoming crisis related to the original host’s fate.]
Ding Moyan looked up: What crisis?
[If you take care of Ye Ye, it means you won’t have to return to the main residence. You’ll avoid the incidents where Old Lady Ding is pushed into the water and falsely accused of embezzling company funds and cooking the books.]
Ding Moyan: I know about the drowning incident, but can you elaborate on the embezzlement accusation?
[Mastermind: Ding Bai’s Omega father. Rather than simply expelling the original host from the family, he prefers to see her suffer. Through the embezzlement and falsified accounts, the original host was permanently branded with this label.]
[Including criminal charges.]
Ding Moyan muttered: The original host really had it rough. Just a cannon-fodder supporting character, yet so much misfortune.
[Truly tragic. Agreed.jpg.]
Police Officer: “Ding Moyan, what do you think?”
Ye Ye deliberately tried to provoke Ding Moyan, putting on a sweet, tearful act: “Mo Yan, if you really don’t want to, I won’t force you. You’re my good friend.”
Before she could finish the word “friend,” Ding Moyan casually tossed her phone onto the table, leaned back in her chair, and interrupted: “Sure, I can do it. I’ll take good care of you.”
“Good friend.”
The last two words were slightly gritted. Ye Ye snapped out of her act, lips curling as she replied with a sweet, obedient smile: “With my good friend taking care of me, I can rest easy.”
Five Blocks Street.
“You’re something else, getting Ding Moyan to work for you for free,” Yu Sisi remarked, glancing at Ding Moyan, who was carrying bags of all sizes for Ye Ye. “Ye Ye, you’re on another level.”
“Look at the boss’s expression, it’s hilarious,” Yu Sisi added. “If I didn’t stop her, she’d have downed six bottles of red wine.”
Ye Ye adjusted her sunglasses and smirked proudly. “Damn right.”
“Ding Moyan, I want the rolled pancakes from that shop over there. Go buy them for me,” Ye Ye pointed to a small store across the street. “No scallions, no cilantro, extra pork floss and sea fish. The fish should be well-charred, not too spicy, and not too sweet.”
Though the shop was small, the long line proved its pancakes were delicious. At this rate, the wait would likely take over half an hour.
Ding Moyan disliked wasting time in queues. Her lips pressed together in displeasure.
Wang Ye was unhappy with how Ye Ye was bossing Ding Moyan around, but since Ding Moyan hadn’t objected, she couldn’t gauge her true stance toward Ye Ye.
Wang Ye said, “I’ll go, let me go.”
“You can’t, I want Ding Moyan to go.” Ye Ye looked down on Wang Ye at first glance, speaking with an air of superiority.
“You, don’t be too, too.”
Ding Moyan patted Wang Ye’s shoulder reassuringly, telling her not to worry too much: “Alright, I’ll go.”
With that, Ding Moyan picked up the items and went to queue.
After she left, Ye Ye’s gaze fell on Wang Ye’s shoulder, the spot Ding Moyan had just touched.
Ye Ye curled her fingers, pressing so hard that her nails left crescent-shaped marks on her palm.
With Ye Ye’s possessive mentality and the spoiled personality she had developed since childhood, anything she set her eyes on became hers, body and soul.
“Hey, go buy me a drink.” Ye Ye said coldly, turning to order Wang Ye around.
Wang Ye was about to refuse, but when she heard Ye Ye say that if she didn’t go, Ding Moyan would have to make another trip, she fell silent.
Wang Ye silently went to another street to buy the peach boba tea Ye Ye wanted.
The other street was a twenty-minute walk from their current location. Even if she ran, given her physical condition, it would take her about ten minutes.
The round trip, plus the time it took to make the drink, would just allow her to return by the time Ding Moyan finished buying the wraps.
Huffing and puffing, Wang Ye ran to the milk tea shop and bought a cup of peach boba tea.
As she turned the corner, Wang Ye stopped in her tracks, her attention caught by a woman nearby.
The woman was a Beta, struggling to carry a basket filled with roses.
Bunch after bunch, they were strikingly eye-catching and captivating.
“How much for these?” Wang Ye asked softly, fingering her nearly empty pocket.
“Miss, ten star coins per stem,” the female Beta said cheerfully, seeing a potential customer.
Ten star coins was half a month’s living expenses for Wang Ye. Her brows furrowed. A nearly wilted rose felt like a luxury, suffocating her.
She touched the petals, which looked somewhat lifeless and unhealthy.
The female Beta noticed Wang Ye’s hesitation and embarrassment, her voice turning sharp: “Miss, my roses are the cheapest here. If you go to a shop, even fresh ones would cost you twenty-five star coins.”
Ding Moyan had treated her to a meal, and Wang Ye felt she should repay her with a beautiful rose.
Roses suited Ding Moyan best. Her lips were like roses, her words always enchanting and heart-stirring.
Wang Ye picked the reddest, largest, and most beautiful rose from the bunch. Thinking of Ding Moyan’s stunning face, Wang Ye’s shy cheeks flushed as red as the rose.
“I’ll take this one,” Wang Ye said, handing over a few coins to the female Beta.
Meanwhile,
Ye Ye was carefully selecting vibrant roses at a flower shop. The roses were lush and radiant, shimmering temptingly under the lights, making it hard to resist leaning in for a closer look.
Ye Ye bent slightly, picking up one and inhaling its delightful fragrance, her mood lifting instantly.
Valentine’s Day was the perfect occasion for such little gifts.
Very satisfied with the shop’s roses, she took out a card and turned to the shop assistant with a faint smile: “I’ll take them all.”
The assistant paused, stunned as she looked at the adorable Omega. After all, buying out the entire shop’s roses would cost a small fortune.
This was a big order, and the clerk couldn’t handle it alone, so they notified the shop manager in the back who was arranging floral materials.
The manager came out. He was someone who had seen the world and wasn’t the least bit surprised. He instructed the clerk to prepare Ye Ye’s bouquet and asked for the delivery address.
“Pack a bouquet of ninety-nine roses, and send the rest of the flowers to this address.” Ye Ye wrote the address on a card.
“Of course, ma’am. Please have a seat and wait. The ninety-nine-rose bouquet will be ready for you shortly.”
Half an hour later,
Ye Ye held the ninety-nine-rose bouquet in her hands, her expression relaxed. As she gazed at the vibrant roses in her arms, a sweet, indulgent smile played at the corners of her lips.
She stepped out of the shop, tilting her chin up slightly.
Evening had fallen, and the street was dotted with colorful lights. Their glow reflected on her fair face, casting a hazy, dreamlike beauty.
Ye Ye savored this rare, beautiful moment. She rarely went out shopping, but accompanying Ding Bai and the others this time had unexpectedly rewarded her with an interesting and delightful treat.
She closed her eyes gently, basking in the comfortable ease of happiness.
Roses paired with a beauty.
Truly the perfect match for Valentine’s Day.
Meanwhile, Ding Bai, who had been watching Ye Ye, observed her charming figure holding the bouquet.
Ding Bai weighed her words carefully. “Buying roses… Ye Ye wouldn’t actually have fallen for Ding Moyan, would she?”
Yu Sisi, long accustomed to Ye Ye’s personal life, didn’t feel the slightest bit pressured. “Ye Ye? She’s been rebellious and fickle for ages now. It’s never lasted more than a month or two before she dumps them.”
“Oh, I just hope she doesn’t end up playing herself this time,” Ding Bai frowned. “Ding Moyan has been acting strange lately really strange. There was even a moment when I barely recognized her.”
Yu Sisi laughed and guaranteed, “Trust me, if she doesn’t dump Ding Moyan within a month, I’ll cut off my own head and let you kick it around like a ball, Boss.”
