Transmigrated into a Classic Dog-Blood Drama as the Scummy Alpha - Chapter 63
After the Mid-Autumn Festival, when Lin Qinghan returned to work at the hospital, Lu Jianbai had already resumed duty. However, he looked noticeably more haggard than before. During the routine Monday morning meeting, a strange, bloated-sounding noise suddenly came from Lu Jianbai’s direction, followed by an indescribable odor spreading through the room.
Lu Jianbai clenched his teeth tightly. Those seated near him instinctively covered their noses. Of course, Lu Jianbai knew exactly what was going on. Ever since that incident, his body hadn’t been the same—especially his rear. Now, even a bit of gas would burst out uncontrollably. If he dared to stand up now, his dignity would be in ruins.
A male doctor nearby couldn’t hold it in anymore and spoke up frankly, “Dr. Lu, if you’re not feeling well, maybe you should head to the restroom. The smell is really…”
His comment drew the attention of even those who hadn’t previously noticed the odor. Lu Jianbai’s jaw was clenched so tightly it could crack. “I don’t need the restroom. Let’s not delay the leadership’s work instructions.”
The doctor gave him a look, still covering his nose. “Alright then, I’ll just sit farther away.”
With that, Lu Jianbai found himself isolated. The hospital executives, already aware of why Lu had been hospitalized, no longer treated him with the same respect and simply ignored him.
Lu Jianbai sat stiffly, glaring hatefully at everyone in the room. Things weren’t supposed to be like this—none of this was what he had imagined. His gaze drifted toward Lin Qinghan, who didn’t even glance his way, as if he were completely invisible to her.
By the time the meeting ended, he was sitting in a mess, and the chair beneath him was likely a lost cause. As people gradually filed out of the conference room, his face darkened further.
Zhao Qing and Liu Wenwen, however, were still skeptical about the hospital gossip and walked over. “Dr. Lu, are you okay? Need us to grab you some tissues?”
“Thank you. Something unexpected happened today,” Lu Jianbai quickly said. “Let me treat you two to dinner after work.”
“Sure, let’s go!” The two soon returned with some tissue for him. Lu Jianbai asked them to step out while he tried to clean up the mess—but the large stain on his pants wouldn’t come out. He had no choice but to cover it with his hands and hurry to the locker room to change.
That evening, he treated Zhao Qing and Liu Wenwen to Japanese food. But during the meal, the exact same embarrassing incident happened again.
This time, Liu Wenwen tugged at Zhao Qing and made an excuse to leave early. Now they fully believed the rumors going around the hospital. Lu Jianbai could only awkwardly tie his coat around his waist and head to the restroom once more.
That night, he had a dream. In it, Shen Xian was still that same shameless scoundrel, constantly pestering Lin Qinghan for money. At one point, Lu Jianbai had approached Shen Xian himself—during a time when Lin Qinghan was at her lowest, with her mother and younger brother also demanding money.
Lu Jianbai had given Shen Xian a sum in exchange for her acting along with him—pretending to be trouble so he could come to Lin Qinghan’s rescue and gain her favor. With the three of them surrounding her, Lin
Qinghan had been deeply hurt. And Lu Jianbai’s timely appearance had painted him as her savior.
After winning her heart, Lu Jianbai collected evidence of Shen Xian stealing and sent her to jail. Then he and Lin Qinghan began their “happily ever after.”
Lu Jianbai snapped awake from the dream, breathing heavily. He truly believed those scenes were how things should have played out. In his mind, Shen Xian’s best ending was rotting behind bars. His fingers curled into fists, joints cracking from the force.

Lately, Shen Xian had been busy with work. She had reallocated funds and created a new team dedicated to developing a short video app. Since such platforms had not yet taken off in this world, being the first to launch one would give her company a tremendous head start. The project was highly confidential, and every team member had signed NDAs.
Zhao Xiaoyan had also taken Shen Xian’s advice seriously. She quit her public-sector job to train under Shen Xian. For this app, Shen Xian made her responsible for both learning and overseeing the development process.
Though Shen Xian hadn’t interacted with this younger sister much, she knew Zhao Xiaoyan was honest and capable. She might need more experience dealing with seasoned negotiators, but for a steady, detail-oriented task like this, Zhao Xiaoyan was a perfect fit.
Because her private hospital had been so busy, Lin Qinghan hadn’t had much rest the previous month. So she took two days off this month and also gave her daughter time off from kindergarten. After all, preschool was mostly play-based, without much academic content.
Thinking there was nothing better to do, Lin Qinghan considered taking her daughter to visit Shen Xian at work—but worried they might be a disruption. So she called her first.
When Shen Xian saw the call from Lin Qinghan, her expression instantly softened, a smile curling her lips. She answered cheerfully, “Yes, Mrs. Shen? What can I do for you?”
Holding Shen Tian in one arm, Lin Qinghan cradled the phone with the other, chiding softly, “Watch your words! Tiantian’s listening. We’re thinking of visiting you—will it disturb your work?”
“Of course not! I’d be more than happy to have you. Come give the company a once-over, Mrs. Shen and little President Shen.”
“Okay then, we’ll be there soon.”
After ending the call, Shen Xian immediately called in her assistant. “Xiao Yue, I need you to greet my wife and daughter at the door. They’ll be here soon. Call me as soon as they arrive. My wife’s name is Lin Qinghan.”
“Yes, President Shen. I’ll head down now.” Xiao Yue outwardly maintained her composure, but inside, she was completely shocked. None of Shen Xian’s previous assistants had been gossipy, so no one in the company really knew about her private life. Now that the truth was out, Xiao Yue couldn’t help but imagine how heartbroken all the fangirls in the company would be—President Shen was officially off the market.
About half an hour later, Lin Qinghan arrived at the company holding her daughter.
Xiao Yue spotted them right away. Lin Qinghan wore a camel-colored cropped trench coat over black pants, paired with sleek black combat boots. She looked crisp and professional. The child in her arms wore a bunny-print jacket from the latest collaboration with U Family, her fair cheeks making her look utterly adorable.
Xiao Yue quickly informed reception to call Shen Xian. “Miss Lin, let me take you to President Shen.”
“Thank you.”
Before they could leave, Shen Xian had already walked over.
Little Tiantian’s sharp eyes caught her first. “Mama! Mommy’s here!”
“Mhm, Mama sees her,” Lin Qinghan said with a smile.
By the time she finished speaking, Shen Xian had already reached them, grinning as she took the child into her arms. She gently pinched Tiantian’s cheek. “Did our little President miss me?”
Tiantian nuzzled against her happily. “Missed Mommy!”
“Mommy missed you too, my little clingy bug.”
Shen Xian held the child with one arm and reached out to take Lin Qinghan’s hand with the other. “Qinghan, come to my office.”
Lin Qinghan looked down at their joined hands, her heart light as she nodded slightly.
After they left, the company exploded into gossip.
At reception, a girl whispered to Xiao Yue, “Is that really President Shen’s wife?”
“Yep. Even I didn’t know President Shen was married,” Xiao Yue replied, smiling as she walked back to her desk.
At the same time, the company’s internal chat group lit up:
“OMG! President Shen’s wife and daughter just showed up! She’s beautiful—they make such a perfect couple!”
“The kid’s adorable too! Her cheeks are all soft and pink, and she has a little dimple!”
“I’m crying. President Shen got married young… so many dreams crushed.”
“Let’s all focus on work. Married or not, she’s still out of our league, girls.”

Back in her office, Shen Xian showed them around. “It’s much brighter in here now. We’ve updated all the office equipment too. Little President, try out my chair—see if it’s comfy.”
She gently placed Tiantian on her chair and handed her a little fox plushie from the cabinet.
“Qinghan, come see the break room.” Shen Xian led her by the hand into the adjoining space. “It’s just like a bedroom—there’s a bed, a private bathroom. If you’re tired, we can rest here.”
She had meant it innocently, but Lin Qinghan flushed as soon as she heard it. She closed the door slightly and glared at Shen Xian. “Who said I’d rest here with you? What are you thinking all the time?”
Seeing her blush, Shen Xian leaned in and trapped her between herself and the door. “Whatever you’re thinking, I’m thinking. Besides, aren’t I Mrs. Lin? Isn’t it normal for me to rest with you?”
“Move. Tiantian’s waiting outside,” Lin Qinghan said, shyly pushing at her waist—but Shen Xian didn’t budge.
Smiling, Shen Xian simply pointed at her lips without saying a word.
Lin Qinghan’s face turned even redder. Knowing their daughter was just outside, she reluctantly tilted her head and gave Shen Xian a quick kiss on the corner of her mouth.
With eyes full of tenderness, Shen Xian teased, “You kissed me there once before—I thought it was an accident. But it turns out you just like taking advantage of me, huh?”
Lin Qinghan gently pushed her away. “It was an accident!”
“No worries. You’re welcome to take advantage of me anytime,” Shen Xian grinned.
“I’m not talking to you anymore—I’m going to find Tiantian.” But just as she turned to leave, she noticed a smear of lipstick on Shen Xian’s cheek and panicked. “Wait, you’ve got lipstick on your face!”
Shen Xian lowered her head and smiled. “Your doing. Better help me wipe it off.”
Lin Qinghan gave her a light punch on the shoulder—when had Shen Xian become so playful? Still, she reached out and gently began wiping the stain from her lips.
Just then, their daughter called from outside: “Mama? Mommy? What are you doing? Why aren’t you playing with Tiantian?”
Startled, Lin Qinghan’s hand jerked.
But Shen Xian stayed calm and called out cheerfully, “We’re almost done, baby! Give Mommy and Mama a few more minutes!”
Then she guided Lin Qinghan’s hand back to her lips, silently asking her to continue.
Lin Qinghan gave her a warning look but resumed wiping—not exactly gently.
“Ow—Qinghan, be gentle,” Shen Xian whispered.
“Stop making noise. There, done.” Lin Qinghan pulled her hand back and quickly fled to find their daughter.
Watching her retreating figure, Shen Xian smiled, lips curving up as she happily followed.
