Transmigrated as the Scumbag Alpha’s Gorgeous Wife Who Keeps Trying to Seduce Me - Chapter 35
The next day began with a water activity. The first event was snorkeling.
In the first season, the guests had worn revealing bikinis. There were beach catwalks, water volleyball, underwater kisses, and even bare-back massages. After a series of boundary-pushing scenes, the show had finally drawn the attention of certain regulatory departments. This time, the production crew was far more cautious.
There were no steamy kisses, no sexy bikini showcases, and definitely no pheromone-filled massages. All guests were now required to wear full-coverage wetsuits.
Snorkeling itself wasn’t a problem. Most of the guests had done it before, and both Chi Lengzhao and Shen Zhixi were no exception. The only awkward part was changing into their wetsuits. The production team, clearly up to something, did not allow guests to change separately. Each pair had to change together in a tent.
Shen Zhixi and Chi Lengzhao entered the tent one after the other, each carrying a backpack provided by the crew.
Chi Lengzhao turned around to make sure the tent flap was tightly closed, checking for gaps that might allow a camera to peek in. Only when she was certain it was secure did she turn back around.
The tent was small but had enough space for two people to stand comfortably. Strangely, not even a single chair had been provided. It was clear someone had planned it this way.
They looked at each other for a few seconds, the awkward silence thick between them.
“You go first,” Chi Lengzhao offered, and turned her back to give Shen Zhixi privacy.
Shen Zhixi nodded softly and unzipped the backpack.
Inside was a wetsuit, a bikini, a towel, and a few other essentials.
She pulled out the bikini and blushed instantly. It was a classic triangle-cut style.
She glanced at Chi Lengzhao, who stood with her back turned, then bit her lip and began unbuttoning her shirt.
The bikini fit perfectly. Shen Zhixi suddenly remembered that before the trip, her manager, Wang Yi, had asked for both her and Chi Lengzhao’s measurements. She had gotten Chi Lengzhao’s from the housekeeper, Zhou. Now it all made sense.
Next came the wetsuit. It was her first time wearing this brand. It felt too small and too tight, and the air inside the tent was hot and stuffy.
Her breathing grew heavier as she struggled with the tight fit.
“Do you need help?” Chi Lengzhao asked without turning around.
“I’m almost done,” Shen Zhixi replied. But as she reached for the zipper, she realized it was on the back. No matter how she twisted, she couldn’t reach it.
“Can you zip me up?” she asked reluctantly.
Chi Lengzhao turned around and stepped over.
The wetsuit was still open at the back, revealing fair, smooth skin and the delicate curve of her spine. Thin bikini straps tied across her back, and the sight instantly made Chi Lengzhao’s throat tighten.
She quickly reached up, zipped the wetsuit closed, and turned her gaze away.
“All done.”
“Thanks.” Shen Zhixi turned around but kept her head down, afraid to make eye contact. Her face was already red enough.
She didn’t need to worry, though. Chi Lengzhao had turned away again to change.
She took off her T-shirt, her long hair swinging down and brushing across the back of her neck. Her back was slender, and the shape of her shoulder blades was delicate, like butterfly wings poised for flight.
Her skin was so pale it almost glowed, smooth and flawless like white jade.
As she started to unhook her bra, Shen Zhixi noticed a faint bruise on her left shoulder. It was barely there, but against such pale skin, it stood out clearly.
Just as she leaned in slightly for a better look, Chi Lengzhao’s bra came off. Shen Zhixi’s breath caught, and she quickly turned away, her face flushed bright red.
When Chi Lengzhao put on the bikini, she paused for a moment, surprised. Why had the production crew packed such a revealing style?
She had never worn a triangle bikini before. Curiosity piqued, she looked down at herself. The fabric was so minimal she wasn’t sure it qualified as swimwear.
She tugged at the small piece of fabric covering her chest, trying to adjust it and get more coverage.
That was when Shen Zhixi turned around and asked, “Do you need help?”
She had meant help with the wetsuit, especially the tricky back zipper. But what she saw was Chi Lengzhao standing there, adjusting the tiny top with both hands…
It was her own chest, after all. She had every right to touch it.
Shen Zhixi cleared her throat, trying to steady her voice despite the blush spreading across her cheeks. “I meant the wetsuit. Do you want help getting it on?”
“Oh… sure. Thanks.”
It was Chi Lengzhao’s first time changing in front of someone else while wearing something this revealing, even if that someone was technically her wife.
She didn’t want to appear shy, though. She was an Alpha, after all. Shen Zhixi was just an Omega. If she wasn’t flustered, Chi Lengzhao had no reason to be.
She quickly composed herself. After all, they were both women. What Shen Zhixi had, she had too. And what she didn’t have, well, neither did Chi Lengzhao.
If Shen Zhixi saw something, so be it. An Alpha should be confident.
Chi Lengzhao picked up the wetsuit and acted as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
The wetsuit was tight and a bit too small. It felt like she was pulling a cage over her body.
As Shen Zhixi helped her get into it, her eyes couldn’t help but take in Chi Lengzhao’s figure. Her abdomen was flat with visible muscle definition. Her waist was slim, and the bikini outlined a graceful silhouette. The measurements she had memorized on paper now came vividly to life.
She couldn’t believe it, but her mind wandered back to the way Chi Lengzhao had adjusted her bikini earlier. A strange mix of curiosity and envy crept into her thoughts. She found herself wondering, absurdly, if she would ever have the chance to touch her too.
Chi Lengzhao, of course, had no idea her wife was admiring certain “assets.” Focused entirely on getting dressed, she had shaken off all earlier awkwardness.
Having Shen Zhixi help her made things easier. Once the wetsuit was on, she picked up her phone and opened the camera to check her appearance.
Oh no. This wetsuit was practically a second skin. Luckily, she didn’t have any extra weight, or else every little bulge would have shown.
Admiring herself, she couldn’t help but press gently on her chest, then squeeze her own butt.
She sighed. “If this could be a bit perkier, that’d be perfect.”
After checking herself out, she turned to look at Shen Zhixi.
Slim figure, beautiful chest, a tiny waist, and tight, toned abs. Not a trace of extra fat. Her gaze drifted lower.
She paused for three seconds, then smiled. “Zhixi, you have a great figure. Really curvy.”
Shen Zhixi’s face instantly turned bright red. A few months ago, she would have slapped this shameless woman.
Now, she just lowered her head and whispered, “Let’s go out.”
They stepped out of the tent. Most of the guests had already finished changing. As each pair exited, the cameras captured their jaw-dropping figures in full wetsuit glory.
The next day began with water activities, starting with snorkeling.
Because of the previous season’s controversial scenes—bikinis, beach catwalks, water volleyball, underwater kisses, back massages—the show had drawn official scrutiny. This time, the production team was clearly walking on eggshells. Gone were the steamy kisses and spicy bikini showcases. The pheromone-charged massages were also out. Everyone now had to wear full-coverage wetsuits.
Snorkeling wasn’t difficult. Most of the guests had done it before. For Chi Lengzhao and Shen Zhixi, it was straightforward. The only awkward part was changing. The production team didn’t allow individuals to change alone. Each pair had to share a tent and change together.
Chi Lengzhao soon noticed that Liang Xiaoshu and Lü Meng from their team were still missing. Moments later, loud shouting erupted from the neighboring tent.
“It’s too tight! Too small! Whoever designed this thing should wear it themselves!”
Lü Meng’s gentle voice followed. “Honey, don’t panic. We’ll get it on soon. Take a deep breath.”
Getting into the wetsuits was a struggle, but the water activities afterward—paddleboarding and snorkeling—were much more comfortable. There was no worry about wardrobe mishaps.
Shen Zhixi was gleefully swimming among a school of curious fish. She glanced at Chi Lengzhao, who moved through the water with graceful ease. Her legs kicked confidently, fins slicing the water. She swam freely, like a weightless, carefree fish.
As she swam closer, Shen Zhixi observed her again. Her movements were elegant. She really did look like a mermaid.
The following three days were packed with water-based adventures: water skiing, speedboats, jet skis.
But what Chi Lengzhao never expected was that she would actually have to play the role of a mermaid.
The production team announced a new challenge. Each team had to perform a short beachside play. There were two scripts.
One was a romantic story about a mermaid and a brave sailor searching for treasure. The sailor fell in love with the mermaid after hearing her sing. They joined forces to defeat a sea monster, found the treasure, and the mermaid turned human to live happily on land with the sailor. At night, they would swim together under the stars.
The second was a reimagined version of the classic “Little Mermaid.” In this version, there was a kiss scene. After the kiss, the mermaid was to throw a dagger into the sea and dive in, turning into sea foam as the morning sun rose.
By draw, Shi Xin’s team got the first script. She was thrilled.
“Ours is the lucky mermaid!”
That left Chi Lengzhao’s team with the bittersweet tragedy.
There were six people on her team. Chi Lengzhao was the only one who had never acted, so naturally, the production team cast her as the lead—the Little Mermaid—claiming it would be funnier that way.
When she saw her costume, Chi Lengzhao was stunned. It was a strapless dress, a pink plastic fishtail, and a long curly golden wig.
When she came out dressed in the ridiculous outfit, everyone burst into uncontrollable laughter. In order to walk, she had to hop around, stepping on the plastic fishtail. She didn’t look like a mermaid at all. More like a clumsy, chubby sea lion.
The next scene had her floating in the sea, with only her shoulders and head above water, staring longingly at a distant ship.
On that ship was Shen Zhixi, playing the prince.
Chi Lengzhao had to press one hand against her floating fishtail to stop it from bobbing out of the water, while the other kept her loose wig from sliding off. She then had to make dreamy eyes at the prince, pretending to be mesmerized.
From the side, Liang Xiaoshu, playing the sea witch, laughed out loud.
“Captain Chi, your eyes are way too wide. It’s too exaggerated.”
“I’m just trying to show the audience how awestruck I am,” Chi Lengzhao replied.
The laughter got even louder.
Next came Lü Meng, dressed in a flowy fairy costume, waving a small flag and yelling, “Wind! Rain! Let the storm hit harder!”
The ship began rocking, and Shen Zhixi swayed dramatically on deck.
Chi Lengzhao struggled across the water in her clunky fishtail.
In the following scene, she carried the prince to the shore and placed him on a rock.
Zhou Ziqing, who played the human princess, called out, “Captain Chi, move him over a little! That rock looks sharp! Are you trying to bruise our dear prince?”
Chi Lengzhao awkwardly shifted the prince to a softer spot.
Shen Zhixi kept her eyes closed and tried not to laugh as Chi Lengzhao gently laid her down on the sand.
In the next scene, the prince woke up and mistook the human princess for his savior. Gratefully, she held Zhou Ziqing’s hand and said, “Beautiful princess, thank you for saving me.”
Watching from a distance, the Little Mermaid was heartbroken. She dove back into the sea. But her longing for the prince grew stronger. She turned to the sea witch, played by Liang Xiaoshu, and offered her voice in exchange for a pair of human legs.
When Chi Lengzhao saw the sea witch’s costume, she was speechless. The snake wig made her look like Medusa.
“Little Mermaid, want to make a deal? I’m a very fair businesswoman,” Liang Xiaoshu said slyly.
Chi Lengzhao wanted to walk away from the shady-looking character, but for the sake of the script, she agreed.
At last, she shed the awkward plastic fishtail and walked freely again.
She saw the prince on deck, proposing to the princess.
Holding her wig in place, Chi Lengzhao ran toward them, shouting, “Wait, Prince! I’m the one who saved you, not her!”
The host’s voiceover added, “The Little Mermaid had no voice and couldn’t write. She could only scream silently in her heart.”
Chi Lengzhao hopped around, making muffled sounds.
The prince took pity on her and allowed her to stay.
The Little Mermaid was thrilled. Even though every step felt like stepping on knives, she danced for him.
Chi Lengzhao moved so effortlessly that she completed the whole dance without any sign of pain.
Liang Xiaoshu shouted from the sidelines, “Captain Chi, you’re supposed to look like you’re stepping on blades! You’re dancing like you’re on clouds!”
Chi Lengzhao fired back, “Sea witch, your role’s done. Our deal’s over. Go scam someone else.”
Everyone doubled over laughing.
In the next part, Su Ci, playing the mermaid’s sister, handed her a dagger.
“Take this, sister. Stab the prince. His blood will turn your legs back into a tail. If you don’t, you’ll turn into sea foam at sunrise.”
Chi Lengzhao took the dagger and decided to act that very night.
She entered the prince’s room, dagger in hand. But when she saw his peaceful, handsome face, she faltered again.
Instead of attacking, she whispered, “If I can’t kill her, then let me kiss her once. That way, dying won’t feel like a waste.”
The audience roared with laughter.
Shen Zhixi tried not to laugh and kept her eyes shut.
Chi Lengzhao bent down, held her wig in place, and leaned closer.
She reminded herself this was just a role, just a scene. She was the Little Mermaid, about to kiss the prince.
But as she neared those soft, inviting lips, her breath slowed. Her fingers curled tightly. She wasn’t kissing a character. She was kissing Shen Zhixi.
The audience chanted, “Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!”
Shen Zhixi waited, confused, until finally, a soft kiss landed on her lips.
It was brief, gentle, and slightly cool.
Applause and cheers erupted.
Chi Lengzhao, face burning red, stood up, turned around, and dashed to the edge of the deck. She threw the dagger into the sea and dove in after it.
The crew released a few pink balloons into the sky.
The host narrated, “Our kind and selfless Little Mermaid gave everything. In the end, she turned into a beautiful bubble.”
That night, just before bed, Shen Zhixi turned to Chi Lengzhao.
“You were an actor for a whole day. How do you feel?”
Chi Lengzhao climbed into bed and answered, “Tired. And the plot made no sense.”
Shen Zhixi laughed softly. “What didn’t make sense?”
“Tied up in that fishtail, I could barely move. Who would fall in love in that condition? I just wanted to rip it off. Even if a goddess appeared, I wouldn’t care. I’d just beg her to help me get out of that stupid thing.”
Shen Zhixi laughed so hard her eyes teared up. She looked at Chi Lengzhao, now free of the silly wig, her natural elegance shining through.
“Little Mermaid, you look much better like this.”
Chi Lengzhao smiled. “So do you. I like the real you more.”
She reached over to turn off the bedside lamp, completely unaware of the faint blush spreading across Shen Zhixi’s face.
Chi Lengzhao: This Little Mermaid is going to bed now, right beside my beloved Prince Shen.
