Transmigrated as the Scumbag Alpha’s Gorgeous Wife Who Keeps Trying to Seduce Me - Chapter 34
When Chi Lengzhao woke up, Shen Zhixi was still sleeping. Her posture was calm and composed, exactly like how a refined young lady should sleep. She lay quietly on her small section of the bed, barely moving.
Chi Lengzhao glanced at Shen Zhixi’s side, then at her own. The space between them was wide enough to fit two Xiao Mos with room to spare.
This bed really was extra wide.
She gently lifted the corner of the blanket and got out of bed as quietly as possible. Not wanting to wake Shen Zhixi, she didn’t brush her teeth or wash her face. She simply tied her hair into a loose ponytail and stepped outside for a morning run.
Unexpectedly, she ran into Zhou Ziqing, who was also out for a jog. As they got closer, they both burst into laughter when they realized they were both bare-faced and still looking a bit messy. A quick chat revealed that both their wives were still asleep.
They decided to run together and even challenged each other to a race. By the time they returned, they were covered in sweat.
The door beeped and unlocked.
Inside the room, Shen Zhixi had been changing. She froze when the door suddenly opened and quickly looked up.
Before her eyes could even register what happened, a pale expanse of skin came into view. Her elegant neck and delicate collarbones were on full display, and the bra she hadn’t finished putting on barely covered her chest.
Her feminine curves weren’t diminished at all. In fact, the partial exposure made the scene even more tempting and hard to look away from.
Shen Zhixi, startled like a frightened rabbit, grabbed her clothes and covered her chest. Her face flushed bright red, like a cooked shrimp.
Chi Lengzhao quickly turned her head, realizing what she had seen. Her own face burned with embarrassment.
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to… I didn’t know you were changing.”
An awkward silence filled the air between them.
“I’ll go shower… You… um…” Chi Lengzhao stammered, grabbed some clothes from the wardrobe, and rushed into the bathroom.
In her panic, she didn’t notice the glass wall of the shower and bumped her head with a loud thud.
She let out a muffled groan but hadn’t even made a sound when Shen Zhixi’s voice came from outside.
“Are you alright? Did you hurt yourself?”
“I’m fine, I’m fine,” Chi Lengzhao replied quickly, covering her forehead and stepping into the shower.
Hearing the running water, Shen Zhixi let out a breath of relief. She quickly got dressed and looked at herself in the mirror above the vanity.
Her reflection was flushed with color, cheeks glowing like peach blossoms.
She touched her face. It was burning hot.
As they left the room, Shen Zhixi looked at Chi Lengzhao’s nose for a few seconds before smiling softly.
“Your nose looks much better now.”
“That’s because the medicine you gave me really worked.” Chi Lengzhao had checked in the mirror after her shower. After a night of rest, the swelling and bruising were almost completely gone.
“Where did you hit your head just now?”
Chi Lengzhao pointed to the right side of her forehead. “Here. But it wasn’t too hard, so there’s no bump.”
Shen Zhixi took another look. Her skin was still smooth and fair, with no visible marks.
“You Alphas really do heal fast.”
Chi Lengzhao smiled. “Told you, I’ve got thick skin. A few bumps and bruises are nothing to me.”
At that moment, Liang Xiaoshu and Ma Yue walked past and overheard the conversation. They immediately exaggerated their reactions.
Ma Yue said, “Captain Chi, with skin that smooth and delicate, you call yourself tough?”
Lü Meng added, “Wow, then what am I supposed to be?”
Liang Xiaoshu grinned. “I think she meant she’s durable.”
Ma Yue blinked. “What do you mean by durable?”
“It means she can handle a lot without getting tired,” Liang Xiaoshu laughed. “Like three to five rounds in a night and still be going strong. That’s what I call durable.”
The group around them burst into laughter.
Shen Zhixi turned red again. Chi Lengzhao was speechless.
Married Omegas really were fearless with their words—especially Liang Xiaoshu.
Compared to yesterday’s bungee jumping, today’s activity was much less intense.
The challenge was to climb a cliff to a designated spot, then leap off. Your partner had to catch you mid-air. If the catch was successful, it counted as a win. If they missed or dropped you, it was considered a failure.
The event took place on a rocky cliff on the other side of the beach, already equipped for climbing.
The sand beneath their feet was soft. Chi Lengzhao looked up and assessed the height. It wasn’t too high. With her strength, she could easily manage it.
However, this was a team relay, and the goal wasn’t individual performance but total team speed.
Chi Lengzhao scanned her teammates. Zhou Ziqing, the fitness expert, would have no issues. Lü Meng and Liang Xiaoshu had climbed before and said they could handle it.
That left Su Ci and Shen Zhixi. Neither of them had ever climbed before, and their slender arms and legs didn’t offer much confidence.
They looked like delicate beauties more than athletes.
The coach helped everyone into their gear and gave a quick demonstration of the climbing technique. Then he had them warm up before the competition began.
Liang Xiaoshu and Lü Meng went first, followed by the beginners, Shen Zhixi and Su Ci. Chi Lengzhao and Zhou Ziqing, the most athletic of the group, would go last.
Since most of the participants were women, including several soft and gentle Omegas, the final height was set at about twenty meters—roughly six or seven stories high. The rock face wasn’t particularly steep either.
Zhou Ziqing gave some helpful advice. “Watch where Ms. Liang and Ms. Lü place their hands and feet. Follow the same path.”
Chi Lengzhao added, “Don’t worry. Zhou and I will be here to support you from below.”
Liang and Lü had experience and climbed fairly easily.
But Shen Zhixi and Su Ci struggled. They either couldn’t reach the next foothold or lacked the strength to pull themselves up.
“Susu, lean your body forward. Move your right foot a little higher… yes, just a bit more. You’re almost there,” Zhou Ziqing encouraged from below, guiding her patiently.
Though it was difficult, Su Ci managed to climb closer to the top.
Shen Zhixi had even less strength. She missed the foothold several times, her body stuck between positions. Her face was flushed, whether from exhaustion or the heat, and her clothes were soaked with sweat.
“Zhixi, take a break. Try to steady your breathing.”
“Okay.”
Suspended in the air, Shen Zhixi felt completely overwhelmed. If Chi Lengzhao hadn’t kept encouraging her, she might have already given up.
Being the center of attention like this, with everyone watching to see whether she could do it, made her feel weak and embarrassed.
She could easily end up like one of the other guests who had no choice but to quit halfway.
She heard cheering from above.
“Ms. Su, you made it! You did it! Wow, great job, Ms. Su!”
Su Ci had reached the top. Now, only Shen Zhixi was left.
Chi Lengzhao seemed to know exactly what she was thinking.
“Don’t rush. Take your time. If Ms. Su could make it, so can you.”
By now, Shen Zhixi was completely exhausted. Her strength had drained, and she no longer had the power she started with. She took a deep breath, paused to gather herself, and continued climbing. She gripped a handhold with her left hand, lifted her right foot to search for a foothold—but as soon as she stepped on it, her foot slipped.
The people below gasped in alarm. Even though all safety measures were in place, the sudden slip startled everyone.
Then, just in time, a solid support appeared under her foot. Chi Lengzhao had climbed up without anyone noticing, and now she was using her left shoulder to prop up Shen Zhixi’s foot.
The shoulder was slim, but surprisingly strong. It held her weight without wavering.
Shen Zhixi looked down and froze. She hadn’t expected Chi Lengzhao to use her body to support her.
Chi Lengzhao looked up and gave her a reassuring smile.
“Don’t be afraid. You can step on my shoulder. Use your right hand to climb up.”
People below were shouting encouragement.
“Come on, Ms. Shen! You’ve got this!”
Zhou Ziqing, already at the top, shouted down, “Ms. Shen, there’s a hold to your right. Just a bit higher—reach for it!”
Shen Zhixi gritted her teeth, pushed off Chi Lengzhao’s shoulder, and climbed. That shoulder, steady like a rock, gave her the lift she needed. Her right hand finally grabbed the next hold.
At last, she made it to the top. Zhou Ziqing reached out and pulled her up.
This soft, delicate, beautiful Omega had endured so much just to finish this climb. It felt like a trial by fire. The host, overwhelmed with admiration, couldn’t help shouting into the mic, “Ms. Shen did it! She really did it!”
His voice was emotional, his expression so intense it was as if the national team had just won the World Cup.
Everyone clapped and cheered. “Amazing, Ms. Shen! You really did it! That was incredible!”
They gathered around her like stars surrounding the moon, celebrating her victory—completely forgetting that one person was still not at the top.
A hand reached up and grabbed the edge of the platform. Chi Lengzhao poked her head up and called out, “I’m still here, by the way.”
Everyone burst into laughter and ran over to pull their captain up.
“Oops, sorry! We forgot about the captain!”
“Captain Chi, what took you so long?”
“Looks like your stamina’s slipping. Not so tough after all, huh?”
“Come on, don’t say that. Our captain is absolutely tough. She literally lifted Ms. Shen up with her shoulder. If that’s not reliable, I don’t know what is!”
Chi Lengzhao didn’t say a word.
Shen Zhixi was resting against the rock wall, breathing heavily. She had completely overexerted herself. Her face was pale, and she could barely catch her breath.
Chi Lengzhao handed her a sports drink.
“Here, drink this. It’ll help you rehydrate and replenish electrolytes.”
Shen Zhixi took it, unscrewed the cap, and drank nearly half the bottle in one go.
Chi Lengzhao also opened a bottle and drank deeply.
“You did great just now. Honestly, there were a couple of times I thought you might give up.”
Shen Zhixi gave a small smile. “Didn’t you let me use your shoulder?”
Normally, when people lend a shoulder, it’s to cry on. Chi Lengzhao’s was for stepping on.
Still a shoulder, though.
“You still had to be brave enough to climb. That was your first time scaling something that high, and you made it. That’s impressive.”
Chi Lengzhao recalled her own first experience. “The first time I tried climbing like this, I was overseas with some classmates. My form was terrible. I only made it four meters up before I freaked out and insisted on coming down. You’re way braver than I was. You held out till the end.”
Sweat still clung to her chest, soaking through the front of her black T-shirt. Her shoulder was a little dirty—though the dust had been wiped away, a faint footprint remained.
It was clear she had used a lot of energy too. In that narrow space, with barely any holds on the rock wall, she had managed to support both herself and Shen Zhixi.
Shen Zhixi looked at her with gratitude.
“Is your shoulder okay?”
“It’s fine. You’re so light, I barely felt anything.” Chi Lengzhao smiled and raised her arm, rotating it in a wide circle to show she was totally fine.
Her eyes were bright and warm, her smile genuine and reassuring.
Shen Zhixi quickly looked down. For some reason, she couldn’t meet that gaze.
The climbing event ended. Now it was time for the next challenge.
The flying leap.
Each pair would perform a mid-air trust test. One person would jump from the top of the climbing wall, and the other would catch them from a point two meters below. If the person was caught successfully, it was a pass. If not, it didn’t matter—there were safety ropes and a padded mat below.
The height wasn’t anywhere near as terrifying as the bungee jump, and jumping wasn’t hard. The real challenge was timing and trust—one had to be brave enough to leap, and the other had to catch at the exact right moment.
After a short rest, filming resumed.
First up were Zhou Ziqing and Su Ci.
Su Ci looked nervous. She stood at the edge and peeked down, then backed away.
Zhou Ziqing called out loudly from below, “Jump, honey! I’ll catch you!”
Su Ci hesitated twice. On the third try, she finally closed her eyes and jumped.
Zhou Ziqing saw Su Ci jump and instantly leapt forward, catching her precisely in mid-air.
The safety harness gently lowered them as they glided down together in a smooth arc. The scene was so graceful, it felt like something straight out of a historical drama, complete with aerial wires.
While their teammates clapped and cheered, angry voices suddenly came from Shi Xin’s team. It turned out Lu Manni had hesitated for too long before jumping. When she finally did, Shi Xin reacted just a second too late and failed to catch her. Lu Manni fell, though the safety rope held her up and no one was hurt.
Still, the team had failed the challenge. Shi Xin’s face darkened. She started grumbling under her breath, blaming Lu Manni for delaying the jump.
Lu Manni rolled her eyes in frustration. This time, she didn’t argue back. Instead, she ignored Shi Xin completely, crossed her legs, and walked off to relax in the breeze.
Next up were Liang Xiaoshu and Lü Meng. Unfortunately, they didn’t perform well either. Liang Xiaoshu jumped, and while Lü Meng did manage to catch her, she couldn’t hold on. Liang Xiaoshu slipped through her arms and fell.
Furious, Liang Xiaoshu shot her a sharp glare. “Why didn’t you hold on? You trying to earn yourself a kneeling session on durians tonight?”
Lü Meng lowered her head and muttered, “Maybe you ate a little too much last night?”
Everyone burst out laughing.
Liang Xiaoshu got even angrier. “You’re kneeling on durians tonight. No excuses!”
The final pair to go was Chi Lengzhao and Shen Zhixi.
Shen Zhixi stepped to the edge of the platform and looked down. It wasn’t incredibly high, but it was still a good seven stories. Not low enough to be comforting.
Chi Lengzhao was already standing on the lower platform, positioned mid-air, secured by the safety rope behind her.
“Zhixi, just jump. I’ll catch you. Trust me.”
Her eyes were bright and her lips curved into a confident smile. There was a calm strength in her voice that made it easy to believe in her.
Shen Zhixi nodded gently. “Alright.”
“I’ll count to three. When I say three, you jump.”
She nodded again.
“One… two…”
Before Chi Lengzhao could even finish saying three, Shen Zhixi jumped without hesitation.
She believed in her. She knew Chi Lengzhao would catch her.
At that exact moment, Chi Lengzhao lunged forward with perfect timing. Her arms opened wide and caught Shen Zhixi firmly, cradling her smoothly in a flawless princess carry.
Cheers erupted below. “Amazing!” “That was perfect!”
Shen Zhixi blinked as the world stopped spinning around her. She looked up and met a pair of deep, dark eyes. They were bright and steady, filled with strength.
Chi Lengzhao’s features were naturally cool and elegant. Her eyes, narrow and slightly upturned, carried a subtle charm that was hard to ignore. Even a simple glance held a quiet allure. She looked cold, but beautiful. Calm, but deeply attractive.
Shen Zhixi stared into those eyes, stunned. It took her a while to come back to her senses. Her cheeks slowly turned red as one thought echoed in her head.
Why had she never noticed before that Chi Lengzhao had such fox-like eyes?
Later that evening, Shen Zhixi was completely worn out. All she wanted to do was sleep. She didn’t even make her usual video call to check on her little boy at home. After showering and drying her hair, she went straight to bed.
As she drifted off, she faintly heard Chi Lengzhao still working in the study. Her voice came through the door, calm and steady during a video meeting. She spoke clearly, her tone firm but not harsh. There was no sign of tiredness in her voice.
Alphas really did have incredible stamina. It was honestly a little unfair.
Just as she was falling asleep, Shen Zhixi suddenly remembered what Liang Xiaoshu had joked about earlier: tough and reliable.
She didn’t know why, but the memory of that kiss came back to her. She found herself wanting to taste those soft, sweet lips again. One thought led to another, and soon her mind was filled with images that were definitely not suitable for children.
Her face turned red. She buried her head into the pillow and shook it hard, trying to clear her head and focus on sleep.
Back in the study, Chi Lengzhao had just finished her meeting. She replied to a few emails, then finally closed her laptop and returned to the bedroom.
Shen Zhixi was already fast asleep. Her head was nestled between two pillows, soft hair spread out around her. It shone with a natural luster, falling loosely across her pale cheeks and slender neck.
She had clearly been exhausted after the climbing challenge. Normally, she slept gracefully, but now she lay right in the center of the bed like a queen. Her mouth was slightly open, revealing the tip of her pink tongue and a neat row of small white teeth. Her breathing was heavy, almost like a little pig snoring.
Chi Lengzhao looked at her quietly, her expression softening with warmth.
A few moments later, she picked up another pillow and walked to her side of the bed. She slipped off her outer robe, revealing a thin-strapped nightdress underneath.
On her left shoulder, a faint bruise had formed, dark against her otherwise pale skin.
She picked up the ointment Shen Zhixi had bought for her, squeezed out a small amount, and gently rubbed it into the bruise on her shoulder.
Chi Lengzhao: You had so much strength when you punched me, didn’t you?
Shen Zhixi: That’s the only time I’m strong. The rest of the time, I’m just a delicate and soft little Omega.
