Transmigrated as the Scumbag Alpha of a Cold Movie Queen - Chapter 49
Qi Siyu was thrilled beyond words!
What did it mean when Gu Qing said “it’s not forced”? It meant Gu Qing saw her as a friend! Gu Qing might have a cold and indifferent personality, but when it came to her friends, she was genuinely kind. Not quite the type to say yes to everything, but she’d always help when she could.
Look at how Gu Xiaoling just cried a bit, and Gu Qing agreed to let her use the scar-repairing cream in multiple doses.
And then, over the past few days—Gu Qing picked her up drunk from the roadside, took her home, cared for her, even let her wear her own clothes. Later, to keep her from being lonely and miserable, Gu Qing traveled all the way to the hotel to hang out with her. And now she was indulging her full-blown “skin hunger” diagnosis, letting her hold hands whenever she wanted…
With all this in mind, Qi Siyu couldn’t help but wonder if Gu Qing was possessed by some spirit—this level of treatment was almost too good to be true! She felt utterly spoiled.
No, no—nonsense! It’s not possession. Gu Qing just really sees her as a friend. That’s all.
But when she thought more about it, Qi Siyu felt that this kind of friendship was something she deserved.
Even though she remembered every single detail from her susceptible period, she had no idea which moment had moved Gu Qing’s heart. But who cared? The outcome was what mattered.
Even if she had completely embarrassed herself in front of everyone, she’d gained Gu Qing’s friendship. Totally worth it.
“What are you thinking about?” Gu Qing asked when she saw Qi Siyu zoning out. It was a question that jolted Qi Siyu right down to her soul.
Qi Siyu swallowed hard, organized her thoughts, and quickly said, “I was thinking about why you said it didn’t feel forced.”
She was terrified Gu Qing might say something again that would shake her to her core.
Gu Qing gave a nonchalant “Mm,” and left it at that.
Qi Siyu stole a glance at Gu Qing, who had already gone back to reading her book.
Qi Siyu felt a bit annoyed. Was Gu Qing not going to answer?
Sunlight streamed through the car window, casting a soft glow on Gu Qing’s face. Even her normally cool gray eyes seemed tinged with warmth.
Feeling a surge of boldness, Qi Siyu reached out and covered the page Gu Qing was reading. “Why didn’t you answer?”
“You made a statement, not a question,” Gu Qing said, turning her head, her expression sincere.
Statements don’t require answers.
Ahhhhhh! How could someone be this enchanting? Qi Siyu’s heart pounded wildly, and her hand slowly slid away.
Gu Qing simply returned to her book.
Clutching her chest, Qi Siyu messaged her mom:
[Okay. Please put the documents somewhere safe for now. Thank you!]
Her mom replied with:
[No problem.]
A few moments later, she sent a photo showing the marriage certificate stored in a box in the study—where all of Qi Siyu’s personal things were kept.
Qi Siyu replied with a grateful emoji.
Her mom sent back a giggling emoji.
Qi Siyu felt a wave of nostalgia. Her mom used to love those old-school yellow bean emojis. At first, she would always send the smiling one and say it felt “friendly and dignified.” Eventually, after some persuasion (and flattery), she switched to the giggling one.
Qi Siyu felt a bit nervous.
The bullet train soon reached its destination. Qi Siyu and the others disembarked with the crowd.
“You two go back to Lichun Garden first—I’ve got something to do,” she said at the exit.
“Will you be back for dinner?” Gu Qing asked.
Qi Siyu was stunned by the question. “I will! But maybe a bit late. You guys eat on time—just save me a portion.”
Gu Qing nodded.
After seeing the two of them get into the assistant’s car, Qi Siyu hailed a taxi back to her original home.
In the taxi, she stared blankly at the yellow bean emoji on her phone.
Meanwhile, the driver kept eyeing her through the rearview mirror.
Qi Siyu was wearing a mask, though she had taken off her baseball cap and placed it on her lap.
The driver’s gaze was so obvious that even daydreaming Qi Siyu noticed it. She couldn’t ignore it.
“Sir, what are you looking at?” she asked.
The driver, clearly multitasking, was glancing between the road and the rearview mirror. Qi Siyu’s sudden question startled him.
“Ah—uh—nothing, really.”
After a pause, the driver asked nervously,
“You just look a lot like that popular ‘crybaby Alpha’ everyone’s been talking about. Your eyes especially! My daughter is obsessed with her lately.”
Qi Siyu: Should I laugh… or not?
“She got good taste,” Qi Siyu replied with a small smile. “But that person isn’t a celebrity.”
“Heh, same difference,” the driver waved it off. Still convinced by the resemblance, she added,
“How about a photo with me? I’ll waive the fare.”
“Huh? Why?” Qi Siyu wondered if the driver had figured her out.
“Well…” the driver coughed awkwardly. “My daughter’s grades have been slipping lately. You look so much like her idol—I figure she won’t notice the difference. If I show her a photo and a signed message that says her idol only likes smart kids, maybe she’ll be inspired to study again.”
Qi Siyu got the idea. The driver hadn’t recognized her, but planned to use her as a decoy.
Well, why not? A good deed earns some karma. She nodded. “Sure. Let’s take the photo when we get there. But I don’t have paper or a pen.”
“Oh, I’ve got everything!” The driver chuckled. He kept chatting excitedly about her daughter and her obsession with “that crybaby.”
Qi Siyu: I really could cry, but I still have to smile…
She occasionally looked up to respond, while secretly messaging Gu Qing:
[Wuwuwuwu… This is truly social death. I can’t even take a taxi in peace.]
Gu Qing replied with an image: pat pat.jpg
Ahhhhh! How could Gu Qing be this gentle and sweet? Such a warm, caring big sister type! While the driver kept ranting about his daughter, Qi Siyu relayed it all to Gu Qing and added her own complaints.
Gu Qing, on the other hand, wasn’t bored at all during the ride—quite the opposite.
In fact, she was so glued to her phone that Gu Xiaoling got curious and began grumbling about how noisy Qi Siyu was even when she wasn’t physically present.
Only one person, yet it felt like a crowd.
Not bad, really.
Once they arrived, the driver pulled out an instant camera.
“Snap! Here’s the photo. My daughter bought me this—said if I ever met her idol while driving, I should grab an autograph.”
“I’ve actually gotten one before,” the driver added proudly. “But my daughter changes idols every six months, so when I finally got the autograph, she had already moved on.”
Qi Siyu kept smiling. Such an affectionate fan…
She had planned to take off her mask, but the driver quickly stopped her.
“No, no! If you take it off, the details might not match. My daughter might realize it’s fake.”
What else could Qi Siyu do? She couldn’t very well admit she was the crybaby Alpha.
The driver took two photos.
“On one, just sign ‘Crybaby Alpha.’ On the other, write on the back: ‘Good grades are the real deal.’”
Qi Siyu smiled and quickly wrote the note.
“Thanks a ton, Miss. Your handwriting’s amazing—have you trained?” the driver asked appreciatively.
“Yup, since I was a kid.” Then the driver complained a bit more about his daughter’s messy handwriting before finally driving off.
Qi Siyu let out a sigh of relief and messaged Gu Qing again:
[I wanted to take the mask off for the photo, but the driver wouldn’t let me—she was afraid I wouldn’t look like the crybaby without it!]
Gu Qing replied with a yellow bean emoji and covered her mouth, giggling.
Qi Siyu had to snap herself out of her cheerful daze and refocus.
At the moment, she was standing just outside the residential complex where the original host’s family lived. The original host’s father, being the CEO of a large corporation, had bought a home close to the company for convenience.
Yet, despite it only being a twenty-minute walk to work, President Qi often stayed overnight at the office. His real home was essentially the executive suite.
The original host’s mother was just as much of a workaholic—living almost full-time at the research institute. If she came home once a month, that was considered frequent.
This house was usually occupied only by the original host, which was probably why something as important as a marriage certificate was left lying around carelessly.
Qi Siyu had come here for one reason: that yellow bean emoji with a hand-over-mouth laugh.
The housekeeper was already waiting at the gate on an electric trike. Qi Siyu hopped onto the back seat, and within five minutes, they had arrived at the front door.
It was a standalone villa. The front and back yards weren’t large, but the place offered excellent privacy. You could throw a party every day and never bother the neighbors.
The lights were on inside. The original host’s mother was in the kitchen preparing dinner.
Qi Siyu took a deep breath and walked in. That familiar silhouette, busy in the kitchen, was one she knew all too well.
“Xiao Yi, you’re back!” Gao Lanyi turned around at the sound of the door and lit up with joy when she saw her long-absent daughter.
She smiled in surprise, not even bothering to put down the spatula before running over and pulling Qi Siyu into a hug.
Qi Siyu froze.
Just as she had suspected—Gao Lanyi looked exactly like her real mother in the original world.
Delicate features, a gentle temperament, and an unmistakable scholarly aura.
Exactly the same as the mother she knew and missed.
Qi Siyu sniffled, holding back tears brought on by longing. She was now almost certain: the author of this novel must have been a hardcore anti-fan.
Someone who knew her.
Someone who knew about her family.
Same appearance, same personality, even the same little habits—Qi Siyu couldn’t stop herself from sinking into her mother’s embrace.
The smell of something burning in the air snapped her back to reality.
“Oh no! My egg pancake!” Gao Lanyi rushed back to the stove and quickly plated the slightly charred food. “Xiao Yi, want a piece?”
Qi Siyu laughed. Her mother looked every bit the perfect housewife, but in reality, she was a pampered lady who barely knew her way around a kitchen. The only thing she could cook with confidence was egg pancakes.
“Just a small piece, thanks. I have dinner plans with a friend.”
“Alright,” Gao Lanyi smiled over her shoulder. “What kind of friend?”
Qi Siyu licked her lips, a bit shy. “Someone you don’t know.”
“Then introduce them to me sometime,” Gao Lanyi said without turning back.
Still flustered, Qi Siyu made an excuse, “I’m just going to the study to grab something,” and darted upstairs, not giving her mom another chance to speak.
Gao Lanyi, in a very good mood, calmly resumed cooking. Once the pancake was ready, she used a mold to cut it into pretty flower shapes and arranged them neatly on a lovely plate.
Then she sat and nibbled at it while waiting for Qi Siyu to come back down.
Upstairs, Qi Siyu found the marriage certificate and stuffed it into her pocket. She needs to bring it for the divorce procedure so the staff could punch a hole in it—marking it void.
She rummaged around a bit more in the study to see if there was any cash or other valuables she should take or hide.
But no luck. Aside from a stack of property deeds and asset statements, there was nothing particularly useful.
When she came downstairs, Qi Siyu was tempted to spend more time with this version of her mom, to cuddle and vent about all the ridiculous things she had encountered.
But she reminded herself—this wasn’t the mother she loved. She couldn’t project her feelings of longing onto someone else.
She quickly ate a corner of the egg pancake and then said goodbye.
“Then I’ll see you tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to it,” Gao Lanyi didn’t try to make her stay but looked forward to the next day.
“Mm-hmm, see you tomorrow!” Qi Siyu replied, dashing out the door.

Meanwhile, Gu Qing and Gu Xiaoling were standing in front of the reinforced security door of the Lichun Garden apartment, waiting in boredom.
The security post at the entrance recognized both the assistant and the Gu sisters, so they got upstairs without a hitch.
But once they reached the door, they realized—none of them had their fingerprint registered in the smart lock system. They couldn’t get in.
Back when they first moved in, Qi Siyu had suggested registering their fingerprints into the door system. Both had refused.
At the time, Gu Qing still considered herself an outsider, not expecting any deeper involvement with Qi Siyu. She wanted to draw a clear line and had no intention of being bound by fingerprint access.
Gu Xiaoling, on the other hand, simply didn’t want anything to do with “that bad guy” Qi Siyu.
Who would’ve thought a day like this would come?
“You’re the assistant! How can you not have access? What if the boss needed you to fetch something?” Gu Xiaoling complained.
The assistant replied with a gentle smile, “President Qi owns many properties. This one isn’t used frequently. It was my oversight, and I’ll make sure to fix it.”
Her sincere attitude even made Gu Xiaoling feel bad. “Well, it’s not entirely your fault. It’s that careless Qi’s problem.”
The assistant kept smiling—she wouldn’t dare badmouth the boss. As long as her paycheck arrived on time, her boss was a great boss.
She quietly messaged Qi Siyu, explaining the situation and asking her to set up a temporary password.
If the original host were here, she might’ve been able to do it instantly. But now it was Qi Siyu, and she had no idea how these smart locks worked. QAQ
She looked through her phone but didn’t see any apps related to the door system.
Fortunately, the routes from both locations were different, and Qi Siyu was almost at Lichun Garden by now.
She had completely forgotten that neither Gu Qing nor Gu Xiaoling had registered their fingerprints. For the past few days, she and Gu Qing had barely gone out.
Even when Gu Xiaoling went out, Qi Siyu would just close the door without locking it. It was a one-unit-per-floor layout—very secure.
Back when they didn’t get along, Gu Qing refused to register her fingerprint to avoid association. But now, maybe she would be willing?
Qi Siyu felt a little anxious.
Still, when she saw the two of them waiting outside, she couldn’t resist scolding them. “See? I told you to register your fingerprints. But nooo, you couldn’t be bothered. Now look where we are—stuck waiting at the door.”
She was the kind of person who bloomed in the sunlight. A little encouragement, and she would act like she ran the place. The moment she sensed Gu Qing’s slight warmth, she climbed right up the metaphorical pole.
Gu Qing nodded. “I didn’t think it through back then.”
Oh my god. Was that… a confession of fault?
Qi Siyu swallowed hard. Her brain felt like it was floating. Maybe… maybe she could get a little bolder.
She opened the door and stood blocking the entrance. “Well then, let’s register now.”
Gu Qing nodded again, calmly pressed her thumb to the reader, and followed the system’s prompts to complete the fingerprint registration.
Afterward, the assistant and Gu Xiaoling carried their luggage inside, and the assistant left.
Qi Siyu watched the two head to their rooms, then collapsed onto the couch.
She needed a moment. Her legs felt like jelly, and her mind was bursting with metaphorical fireworks.
If things kept going this way, even if she divorced Gu Qing right now and set her free… Gu Qing probably wouldn’t kick her to the curb anymore~
