Transmigrated as the Cannon Fodder Boss of the Disabled Heroine - Chapter 11
For a female Beta, entering a restroom designated for female Alphas or Omegas in an emergency wouldn’t be a big deal. However, the original host’s public persona was that of an Alpha.
If she barged into the Omega women’s restroom now, she’d likely be arrested as a sexual harassment suspect before she could even step out.
The delicate fragrance of roses and raspberries, elegant yet intoxicating, carried the Omega’s pheromones like a tiny hook plucking at one’s heartstrings.
It was at this moment that Pei Yujiang realized something was wrong.
She had transmigrated into a Beta’s body, so why could she so clearly detect the scent of pheromones?
Most Betas couldn’t sense pheromones at all, their olfactory senses in this regard being extremely dull. The few who could only did so either when in extremely close proximity or when the other party’s pheromones had erupted to an overwhelming intensity.
But Pei Yujiang had never heard of a Beta being able to perceive pheromones this distinctly.
Could she be undergoing a secondary differentiation into an Alpha?
Unlike many Alphas who took pride in their status, Pei Yujiang harbored no sense of superiority regarding gender. She didn’t view ordinary Betas as mere “worker bees.” Being a Beta wasn’t bad at all on the contrary, free from the troubles of rut cycles, she found it far less troublesome.
But right now, her gender wasn’t the pressing issue. Gritting her teeth, Pei Yujiang knew that if Yu Zhiwan had been drugged, triggering an early heat, the spread of her pheromones wouldn’t just cause chaos, Yu Zhiwan, as an Omega, would be in grave danger!
Having witnessed an Omega in heat before, Pei Yujiang understood the urgency. She hesitated at the door for a moment, about to seek help from another Omega, when a familiar figure slowly emerged from the restroom.
Yu Zhiwan sat in her wheelchair, her ears, cheeks, and neck flushed a deep red.
Her fair skin made the blush even more apparent. The restroom’s bright lights, mirrored walls, and pristine white tiles accentuated her delicate yet alluring state, the faint crimson at the corners of her eyes betraying her struggle.
At this moment, every cell in the Omega’s body seemed to scream for a mate’s mark. Yet Yu Zhiwan’s hands trembled slightly, as if fighting desperately against her instincts.
The clash of these instincts left her forehead damp with sweat, her bangs clinging to her skin in disheveled strands. But the disarray did nothing to diminish her fragile beauty.
Seeing Yu Zhiwan, Pei Yujiang’s racing heart unexpectedly calmed.
The female lead hadn’t immediately spiraled into darkness meaning the situation was still under control. Despite the intoxicating pheromones saturating the air, the restroom’s automatic air fresheners had activated, attempting to neutralize the Omega’s alluring influence. Yet Yu Zhiwan remained tense, clinging to her rationality.
By now, Yu Zhiwan’s mouth was filled with the metallic tang of blood.
The salty, coppery taste spread across her tongue, the pain from biting down sharp enough to keep her barely conscious.
Yu Zhiwan resisted the drug’s assault on her Omega instincts with extraordinary resilience and formidable willpower.
Her heightened senses as a blind person allowed her to detect someone blocking her path. Lifting her head with a faint smile, she heard a slightly tense yet unmistakably melodious voice say:
“Are you okay? Should I take you to my room?”
Pei Yujiang, playing the “villain” for the first time, felt her ears burn with embarrassment. Never had a few spoken words felt so agonizingly drawn out. Regret gnawed at her, but there was no turning back now, no matter how shameless it seemed, she had to see this through.
So, hesitantly, she added:
“My room has plenty of suppressants.”
The line was as cheap as luring an innocent girl with promises of “lots of candy and game consoles.” Pei Yujiang discreetly studied Yu Zhiwan’s expression and saw her face darken in response. Steeling herself, she suddenly stepped forward and yanked the wheelchair, pulling Yu Zhiwan toward her.
Pei Yujiang was skilled in grappling techniques, but she couldn’t bring herself to use them on Yu Zhiwan, she had only grabbed the wheelchair, not the woman herself, to avoid completely stripping her of any chance to resist.
Yet she had underestimated Yu Zhiwan’s defiance.
Without a sound, without futile screams, the woman suddenly lunged to bite the moment Pei Yujiang got close! Fortunately, Pei Yujiang reacted swiftly had she been slower, the bite mark would have been impossible to explain.
She jerked her hand back, stuffed a handkerchief into Yu Zhiwan’s mouth, and reluctantly pinned her to the wheelchair, gripping both slender wrists in one hand. Yu Zhiwan struggled fiercely, but against Pei Yujiang’s strength, it was futile.
Getting serious now, Pei Yujiang recalled the original host’s memories, confirmed no one was nearby, and located the hidden passageway. After a strenuous effort, she finally carried Yu Zhiwan into a secluded room.
This club was a frequent haunt of the original host, complete with shady secrets like the concealed passage next to the restroom leading straight to the third-floor guest rooms.
Breathing heavily, Pei Yujiang deposited Yu Zhiwan onto the bed. The woman’s violent thrashing had left her clothes disheveled, revealing flushed, snow-white skin that made her look genuinely violated. Before Pei Yujiang could warn her, the Omega, freed from restraint, swung her fists wildly.
Pei Yujiang flung open the bedside drawer, dumping a cascade of suppressants and inhibitor patches onto the bed like scattered petals, then cautiously turned and bolted out the door.
The notification of increased “Cannon Fodder Points” and a 5% rise in the female lead’s “Darkening Value” reached her as she lingered near the stairwell, out of the surveillance cameras’ sight.
She sighed, closing her eyes in resignation.
The room she’d chosen was vacant according to the original host’s memories, odd-numbered rooms here were usually empty, reserved for emergencies or uncontrollable urges.
But she feared someone might barge in and disturb Yu Zhiwan, so after playing the villain, she locked the secret passage and stood guard by the stairs. Taking Yu Zhiwan to the room was a system-mandated task, but leaving the Omega alone unsettled her conscience. This was the only way to compromise.
She wouldn’t rest until she saw Yu Zhiwan walk out safely.
The inhibitor usually takes effect within ten minutes. Seeing that Yu Zhiwan was still conscious, she could definitely administer the inhibitor herself. She would gradually regain clarity in about five minutes.
Pei Yujiang waited silently.
