- Transmigrated As A Beautiful Cannon Fodder Omega To Marry An Evil God Alpha In Place of Another
- Chapter 25 - Naming the Black Pearl
The morning light was bright, and the sound of the waves crashed rhythmically.
The ship’s sails were pulled taut, and its bow slapped gently against the waves as it traveled swiftly across the sea.
Bai Rui walked onto the gunwale without looking back, followed by a smiling A-wu.
Bai Rui’s complexion was slightly pale. The moment he stepped out of the cabin, the piercing sunlight dazzled his eyes, making him feel a bit lightheaded.
He had overexerted his body so severely that day that even after eating a bowl of porridge today, he still felt a lack of strength.
A-wu had probably been right, he seemed to have lost a bit more weight; he really needed to eat more.
But he didn’t know if it was a lingering side effect of the temporary marking, but he truly had no appetite right now…
“Careful, Your Highness.”
A-wu’s large hand gripped the side of Bai Rui’s waist, supporting his slender body.
Because of the tall figure following closely behind him, Bai Rui felt unsteady. As his waist was held, his body felt as though it were being cradled in the embrace of the person behind him.
The deck was full of people. When Bai Rui stepped out of the cabin, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him with respect, including many Annamese sailors.
Even the sea breeze couldn’t drown out the whispering.
Fragments of conversation drifted clearly into Bai Rui’s ears, such as “What exactly is their relationship?”, “A master-servant romance?”, and “He’s already been temporarily marked, can he still be considered a servant? Has he successfully climbed his way up?”
Successful climb my foot!
He didn’t expect these pirates to be so gossipy!
Realizing the situation, Bai Rui pushed A-wu away and stood firm, shoving that broad, sturdy chest back. Then, without looking at A-wu, who was being called a “successful social climber”, he marched forward.
However, the tips of his ears had unconsciously turned a faint pink. The hurriedness of his pace made it seem as though he was still sulking over what had happened earlier.
A-wu’s eyes crinkled with laughter as he followed behind.
“Master, why are you walking so fast? Slow down.”
Speaking of which, back when A-wu mentioned bathing Bai Rui, Bai Rui’s eyes had widened. In those beautiful almond eyes flickered a sense of disbelief, and A-wu even noticed Bai Rui’s earlobes turning red.
Inside the cabin, the space was cramped, and the conversation had felt somewhat heavy.
Bai Rui spoke each word with heavy emphasis: “You took off my clothes… and you bathed me?”
He put especially heavy weight on the last three words, “bathed me.”
A-wu nodded. “Yes.”
After saying that, he quietly watched Bai Rui.
Despite his inner struggle, Bai Rui forced himself not to care. His delicate, fair face assumed a stiff, business like coldness, but his slightly trembling eyelashes and flickering gaze betrayed his true emotions.
He was probably flustered.
So cute.
A-wu couldn’t help but narrow his eyes, not understanding why simply watching this person made him feel so light and joyful.
“No, it wasn’t exactly a bath. Although I really wanted to share your burdens, Your Highness, there truly aren’t the facilities for that on this ship.”
Just as Bai Rui breathed a sigh of relief, A-wu suddenly curled his lips into a smirk. “So, the entire time, I used a clean towel to wipe your body dry.”
“Wipe… wipe my body?”
That was almost worse than a bath!
Bai Rui’s eyes went round. Even though he had been a straight man for nineteen years, he understood what had happened to him.
If his senses hadn’t failed him… he had indeed matured into an Omega in front of A-wu.
Maturing into an Omega at a later age had caused his body a lot of suffering, so he must have been a mess.
Not just sweat…
His clothes had been soaked long ago, his pants were damp, and what about those silk stockings? And the lace garter tied around his leg…
Remembering these things, a sense of shame rushed straight to his head.
Although Bai Rui repeatedly told himself that they were both men and looking at a body was nothing, he simply couldn’t get past it in his heart. Most importantly, he had been wiped down by someone else.
“You!”
A-wu’s eyes were curved with laughter. “Me?”
The tall man spread his hands. “You see, as your loyal and devoted servant, did I not perform my duties appropriately?”
This attitude was much like teasing a small animal, but his gaze was deep, making one’s face burn.
On that devilishly handsome face, there was now a bit of a roguish air, and those sharp, narrow eyes were stained with soft laughter.
Finally, Bai Rui closed his eyes, appearing to mutter something like “Don’t get angry, if you get sick no one will take your place.” When he opened his eyes again, the two streaks of red at the corners of his eyes had deepened.
“I’m not eating anymore. Get out.”
After saying that, Bai Rui gave A-wu a heavy glare, turned around to lie on the bed, and not only turned his back to him but also pulled up the covers.
A-wu’s pursed lips twitched a few times, he almost couldn’t hold back his smile.
Finally, suppressing his laughter, A-wu let out a light cough. “Ahem, Your Highness.”
“Are you really not going to eat a little more?”
“You are truly too thin. Once we’re on the deck, the wind will be very strong.”
It would have been better if he hadn’t mentioned it.
Bai Rui bit his lip, sat up abruptly as if out of spite, and commanded, “Attend to me while I dress. I want to go to the deck right now.”
Actually, now that he wasn’t wearing women’s clothing, the scope of being “attended to” had become much smaller.
But once the words were out, he couldn’t take them back, so he could only stiffen his neck and look at A-wu.
A-wu was indeed the loyal servant he claimed to be, providing meticulous service.
As Bai Rui threw off the covers to get up, A-wu had already proactively squatted down, once again taking Bai Rui’s foot and placing it on his own knee.
A fair foot stepped onto the knee, and a beautiful, well-defined large hand gripped the ankle.
A-wu tilted his face up and looked quietly at Bai Rui.
“I have already assisted Your Highness with your clothes. Now, allow me to assist Your Highness with your socks and shoes, alright?”
His voice was low and deep, with a magnetic trail at the end that tugged at one’s heartstrings.
He remembered when they found the bundle of clothes belonging to Batella and her daughter in the woods. When he faced the awkward lack of knowledge while putting on the silk stockings, A-wu had also squatted down just like today, placing Bai Rui’s foot on his knee.
Bai Rui was dazed for a moment before his foot was pulled by the large hand and his sole was lifted.
Bai Rui’s ankles were quite thin, and his bone structure was delicate. If one ignored the length of the foot, the fair skin and the bones on the bridge of the foot revealed beautiful lines, making it look somewhat like a girl’s foot.
His heart rate, which had just begun to stabilize, started to become erratic again for no reason.
The tips of his ears burned even more. Bai Rui gave a small tug but found that A-wu was holding on tightly, so he didn’t struggle further and simply let him hold it.
A-wu looked at Bai Rui’s foot with great satisfaction, then gently took a sock from beneath the bed and put it on for Bai Rui.
From Bai Rui’s perspective, he could see the crown of A-wu’s head. His lustrous hair grew out from the crown, looking fluffy and bright with some beautifully curved waves.
Could someone’s hair actually be this good naturally?
Thinking of this, Bai Rui reached up to touch the hair at the back of his own neck.
He hadn’t cut his hair for a while, and it had become a bit of a “wolf tail.” Since his hair wasn’t as long as A-wu’s and had some natural large curls, he had tied it into a small bun at the back of his head.
The rest of the strands hung down by his temples and neck. The longest parts of the “wolf tail” reached below his rear cervical vertebrae, just covering his gland.
His slender, white fingertips tangled in his own hair. Suddenly snapping back to reality, he realized the current situation, another person was squatting in front of him.
Snapping out of it, Bai Rui looked up and happened to meet A-wu’s upward gaze. Those narrow eyes were exquisitely shaped, the corners slightly upturned, and his gaze was incredibly deep.
Looking at someone so quietly could make an unsuspecting person’s heart skip a beat.
One sat on the bed while the other squatted before him, one looking down, one looking up, their gazes firmly locked together.
A faint fragrance seemed to float in the air, and due to the ship’s movement, something bumped together, making a soft “click” sound.
The old wooden boards of the ceiling made it impossible to tell where the sound had come from.
After a moment, Bai Rui realized that after admiring someone else’s hair, he had unconsciously started touching his own, which was a bit… much.
“Ahem.”
He intentionally cleared his throat, changing his gesture to tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, and asked, “Are you finished?”
“Yes, it’s done.”
