Chapter 51: Elder Sister of a Brother-Obsessed Family X University Professor
The two got into the car and, as usual, headed to a nearby supermarket for groceries. However, Ruan Jiyun held her backpack tightly the entire way, which only made Jiang Peifeng more curious.
“Did you fail an exam and are too afraid to show me?” She thought for a long time and came up with what she considered the most logical explanation.
In response, she received a look of indignation from the little white flower.
In the end, Ruan Jiyun carried her backpack with her to buy groceries. She had planned to make Jiang Peifeng’s favorite sweet and sour pork ribs and osmanthus rice cake today.
The two walked into the supermarket with perfect tacit understanding. Jiang Peifeng pushed the cart, and Ruan Jiyun was in charge of shopping. She was seriously comparing the expiration dates of two bottles of milk when she suddenly heard Jiang Peifeng say: “The way you look, you’re just like a virtuous little wife.”
Ruan ‘Hiding a Secret’ Jiyun: “…”
Is it really okay for you to flirt like this?
She almost bought the groceries with steam coming out of her head. Jiang Peifeng then drove to a nearby trendy bakery and returned with a large blue box.
“I heard this cake is super popular lately. The girls at my research institute all love it, so I ordered one for you,” she placed the box on Ruan Jiyun’s lap. “Hold it tight.”
Ruan Jiyun felt a sweet warmth in her heart and obediently said: “Okay.”
The thought of Jiang Peifeng, who always held her in the palm of her hand, being this gentle to someone else one day was something she could never imagine.
She truly loved her so much.
With such romantic and sweet thoughts, they soon returned home. Jiang Peifeng tidied the house, and Ruan Jiyun cooked. The warm yellow light came on, and the reflections of other houses’ lights shone through the French windows, giving the illusion that they were naturally living together, just like any ordinary couple.
Ruan Jiyun was washing vegetables in the kitchen when Jiang Peifeng suddenly walked in with a frown, hesitating: “I forgot something important. The air conditioner in your bedroom broke last week, and I never got someone to fix it… How about…”
Those words sounded like heaven to Ruan Jiyun. She was already fretting about how to initiate staying in the same room. She immediately said: “It’s okay. I can just sleep in your room!”
Jiang Peifeng: “…” She had originally intended to ask if she should switch rooms with Ruan Jiyun.
But since the little white flower was so open about it, she would be a fool to refuse! Thinking this, she pretended to consider it for a second before saying reservedly: “Then you can’t hog the blanket.”
Ruan Jiyun nodded sincerely: “I sleep very well.”
Even the movement of her flipping the spatula became significantly lighter.
After a cozy dinner, Jiang Peifeng cleared the table, specifically lit the candles on the cake, and brought it over, smiling: “Now, let the birthday girl make a wish. All your wishes will come true.”
Ruan Jiyun looked at her with shimmering eyes. In her heart, her greatest wish was for time to stop at this moment, with the person she loved most by her side, making everything feel complete. With that thought, she clasped her hands together and silently made a wish.
She puffed out her cheeks and blew out the candles. The instant the flames were extinguished, she couldn’t help but look up at Jiang Peifeng again.
Jiang Peifeng felt that Ruan Jiyun today was significantly different from usual.
She noticed that Ruan Jiyun’s eyes were particularly bright. She usually cautiously avoided moments of eye contact, but today she was much more proactive. Under that intense, shining gaze, Jiang Peifeng felt herself beginning to falter against the heat of her affection.
The little white flower probably didn’t realize how captivating her watery gaze was, like a delicate, tear-inducing white rabbit, her entire body an invitation that read “come eat me.”
She managed to curb her imagination and cleared her throat: “Do you want to shower first?”
Reminded by her, Ruan Jiyun remembered the unspeakable item hidden in her backpack. She hesitated and shook her head: “I’m a little full, I want to rest for a while. Why don’t you go first?”
Jiang Peifeng also felt it was best for her to go cool down in the bathroom. She agreed and went to prepare for her shower.
Once she confirmed the sound of running water in the bathroom, Ruan Jiyun sprang up like a nimble bunny, rushed into the bedroom, retrieved the “battle attire” like a thief, wrapped it tightly in a bath towel, and then walked out as if nothing was wrong.
When it was her turn to shower, she directly smuggled the towel package into the bathroom, locked the door, and then, suppressing her wildly beating heart, turned on the showerhead.
Ruan Jiyun took a shower for a full hour.
Jiang Peifeng didn’t notice at first. She cleaned up the living room, turned on the air conditioning in the bedroom beforehand, made the bed, and read for half the time before realizing Ruan Jiyun still hadn’t emerged.
She frowned slightly, worried that something might have happened. She got up and walked to the bathroom door, knocking: “Xiao Yun, are you okay?”
The answer was a soft “Mmm.” The door lock clicked, and Ruan Jiyun, wrapped up like a dumpling in a bathrobe, peeked out.
Having just showered, two captivating rosy clouds were steamed onto her face, making her eyes look even bigger and rounder. Her eyelashes were wet, and her watery gaze and the moist, crimson lips immediately made Jiang Peifeng’s breathing hitch.
She composed herself, controlling her wandering thoughts.
“Aren’t you… hot?” Looking at Ruan Jiyun’s flushed face, she guessed Ruan Jiyun had been overwhelmed by the high temperature of the bathroom.
Ruan Jiyun shook her head and maintained the dumpling posture as she walked out of the bathroom. Jiang Peifeng found it amusing: “Hurry to the bedroom. I turned on the air conditioner, it’s cool there.”
She, herself, walked into the bathroom, habitually preparing to gather the clothes and towels to put them in the washing machine.
Perhaps her imagination was running wild, but she found the body wash scent in the bathroom today was unusually strong, coiling around her breath with the heat, intoxicatingly romantic.
Even the wetness on her fingertips from the bath towel felt like fire.
Jiang Peifeng deliberately stood on the balcony for a while before returning to the bedroom. She noticed Ruan Jiyun was still wrapped in the bathrobe, her head almost touching the floor, looking oddly uneasy.
Hearing her footsteps entering the room, the lowered head lifted.
Jiang Peifeng’s steps stopped.
That strange feeling intensified. Ruan Jiyun’s expression looked unfamiliar, as if she were making some kind of decision or recalling something. Seeing Jiang Peifeng approach, she nervously clutched the bathrobe tie, standing up in a sacrificing posture.
Her fair fingers unknotted the belt, pulling it down.
What followed was—the most wonderful sight Jiang Peifeng had ever witnessed.
The bathrobe slid to the floor, revealing her little white flower.
The girl’s slender, delicate frame was unveiled. She was wearing a sky-blue silk brassiere, the satin fabric adorned with sheer netting dotted with tiny pearls, like a pool of moonlight, delicately framing her beautiful curves. Jiang Peifeng dared not look at the deeper beauty, afraid that one more glance would trap her in this dream built of shimmering, snowy light.
She saw Ruan Jiyun take a shallow breath and begin to walk toward her. Her legs were trembling slightly. The moment she took a step, she tripped on the bathrobe on the floor, losing her balance and tumbling forward.
Jiang Peifeng was startled. Her body reacted faster than her consciousness, catching the person safely in her arms in the nick of time, holding her steady.
Now she was finally in her arms.
A soft, fragrant scent enveloped her. The other person’s damp hair was practically touching her face. After a moment, Ruan Jiyun finally looked up. The resolute expression on her face changed to confusion, which was immediately replaced by profound embarrassment. Her beautiful eyes welled up with moisture, making her look like she might melt into a puddle at any moment.
“Did you hurt yourself when you fell?”
It would have been better not to ask, because in the next second, those eyelashes blinked, and a crystal tear actually escaped. She also heard the little white flower’s choked sobs, as weak as a kitten that hadn’t been weaned: “Wuu…”
So angry. So embarrassing.
Ruan Jiyun wished she could disappear on the spot. Just seeing the suppressed smile on Jiang Peifeng’s face, she knew how much of a failure her seductive attempt had been. She must be laughing at me, right? She had tried so hard to do it well, but in the end, all she exposed was her uselessness.
“Forget it! You didn’t see anything!”
She muttered self-deprecatingly, dejectedly trying to break free from Jiang Peifeng’s embrace. But as soon as she moved, an arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her back.
She heard Jiang Peifeng let out a low chuckle. The sound was different from her usual cool tone, instead possessing a kind of dizzying gentleness, slowly gliding past her ear.
“Seeing you be so proactive, I think it will be very hard for me to forget.”
These words made Ruan Jiyun even more shy. She blushed and moved away from the voice that was too close, raising her head to try and argue: “It’s not like that…”
The way she had planned to appear was definitely not by tripping over her own bathrobe!
But Jiang Peifeng wasn’t quite listening to what she was saying, because Ruan Jiyun was simply too adorable right now.
Her cheeks were flushed with urgency, her red lips slightly parted. Her breathing, brought on by shyness and mortification, was rapid. Her eyes were glazed with moisture, carrying an unconscious allure, mixed with innocent, wide-eyed bewilderment, making one desperately want to break through it with just one look.
I really want to kiss her.
Jiang Peifeng thought it, and she did it.
When the moist sensation came to her lips, Ruan Jiyun’s eyes widened in surprise. Jiang Peifeng maintained her embrace, kissing her while lifting her up by the waist. She even thoughtfully pressed her palm against Ruan Jiyun’s neck to prevent her from losing orientation in the dizzying sensation.
“Wait… wait… mmm…”
The fragmented sounds dissipated between their lips and teeth. Ruan Jiyun weakly protested in a daze, but this time Jiang Peifeng didn’t indulge her coyness. She somewhat dominatingly squeezed the little white flower’s soft cheek, coaxing her: “Good girl, open your mouth.”
The breathing of the person in her arms instantly became more chaotic.
Jiang Peifeng affectionately stroked the little white flower’s hair, looking down at her slightly pitiful expression. She had clearly been taken advantage of, yet she still obediently tilted her head back, her lips overly rosy, covered with a crystal sheen, like an exquisite delicacy.
“The way you look right now… really makes me want to tease you,” Jiang Peifeng’s voice, tinged with a smile, sounded. “How about you choose? Do you want to be teased lightly? Or do you… prefer it rougher?”
“No, that… wuu… I don’t…”
The scene before Ruan Jiyun had clearly exceeded her limits by a large margin. She could only passively tilt her head back, her fingers helplessly gripping Jiang Peifeng’s arm, looking at Jiang Peifeng with a pitiful, dependent gaze.
The person in front of her chuckled softly and leaned closer to her.
The temperature in the air rose to an unimaginable degree. She felt the person in front of her was scalding hot. Her gaze, her fingers, everything carried a scorching warmth.
Finally, the voice seemed to be melted by this high temperature, thick and cloying, churning the air in the bedroom into a huge, sweet syrup. The sound grew softer and softer, gentler and gentler…
The light above them flickered. Ruan Jiyun truly felt like she had turned into a cloud, a cloud held up by the wind, stirring up continuous, humid rain.
