- Chapter 42 - Tang Tang, Don’t Forget, You’re Already My Wife
Although there was a small hiccup during the wedding, everything afterward proceeded smoothly.
Under the host’s congratulatory speech, the two exchanged wedding rings and embraced in a kiss. A shower of petals fell from the center of the stage, romantic enough to look like a scene from a drama.
Most of the elite families in Rong City were gathered here. Regardless of the guests’ private thoughts, at that moment, they all became witnesses to the newlyweds.
As the female lead in this “drama,” Xia Mingtang had no chance to relax after the ceremony. She had to greet the guests table by table—relatives, friends, elders—and she realized she actually knew quite a lot of people.
Thanks to Qin Yan’s protection, no one dared to force her to drink the bridal wine, though she still ended up sipping a little.
After finally finishing the rounds, her childhood friends dragged her off to sing and play games.
Before she knew it, it was already 9:30 p.m. The guests were all delighted, and they were gradually sent home in groups.
Xia Mingtang was driven back to the Xijing Villa in a Rolls-Royce, sprawled like a drunken salted fish in the passenger seat. When she saw the destination, she wanted to say, “Are you sure you’ve got the right place? This isn’t my house.”
But the next moment, she realized: from today on, she would be living here for the foreseeable future.
She felt a sudden pang of grievance, even though she didn’t quite know why.
Qin Yan didn’t notice Xia Mingtang’s thoughts and helped her out of the car.
A middle-aged woman in a housekeeper uniform greeted them. “Miss Qin, madam, the rooms have been prepared, and the sobering soup is ready in your room.”
Xia Mingtang tilted her head at the woman and remembered that she was Qin Yan’s personal housekeeper, called Aunt Zhou, supposedly a top graduate of the Hanlin Advanced Housekeeping Academy.
It took her a few seconds to realize that the term “madam” was referring to her.
She didn’t like being called that; it made her feel several years older.
Rubbing her temples to ease the discomfort from the alcohol, she said, “Aunt Zhou, don’t call me madam. Tang Tang or Miss Xia is fine.”
“…This…” Aunt Zhou glanced at Qin Yan.
“Call her as she wishes,” Qin Yan replied. On their wedding night, in such a beautiful moment, she didn’t want to waste time on such small matters.
The master bedroom was on the second floor and had an attached bathroom.
Qin Yan helped Xia Mingtang to the bedroom. With a sudden burst of energy, she grabbed the sobering soup and drank it all in one go, then went into the bathroom, slamming the door shut.
Outside the door, Qin Yan…
She quietly peered at the figure inside for a few seconds, then decided to shower elsewhere.
Xia Mingtang often forgot things when her mind was scattered. Halfway through bathing, she remembered her change of clothes—but then noticed that her favorite cotton undergarments were already in the cabinet.
Exhaustion made her extremely efficient; bathing and drying her hair took less than half an hour.
Now alone in the spacious bedroom, she looked at the 2.2-meter-wide bed with crimson satin sheets and internally mocked Qin Yan’s tacky taste, completely forgetting that she had just been cosplaying a red-clad heroine.
Already too sleepy to care, she jumped onto the bed like a famished tiger.
The waterbed perfectly conformed to her body, creating a depression in the center.
“I’m exhausted. I never want to get married again.”
She buried herself in the bed, humming nasally.
From a distance came the sound of slippers on the floor, steadily approaching.
Xia Mingtang recognized the sound and guessed the visitor, but didn’t intend to move. The bed was big enough; let them find their own spot.
Qin Yan approached the bed and saw the soft “little fox” sprawled in the center.
Her limbs were in all directions, sleeves and pant legs rolled up, exposing her pale arms and legs that almost shone in the warm light.
Qin Yan quietly climbed onto the bed, kissing the little fox’s neck with its fine fuzz, skillfully pulling off the cotton sleep shorts.
Xia Mingtang, sleepy and mumbling, said, “Not today… I’m too tired.”
“Good girl, after this, you won’t be tired anymore,” Qin Yan said softly, but her hands didn’t slow down.
She tossed aside the sleep shorts, lifted Xia Mingtang into her lap, and spread her slightly parted legs, positioning her for the next moves.
Xia Mingtang had her eyes closed, seemingly indifferent, but underestimated her own sensitivity. A simple teasing outside already awakened her body’s memory.
She grabbed the sheets with one hand and Qin Yan’s arm with the other, trying to resist further action.
The slight resistance felt more like foreplay, and Qin Yan didn’t stop, moving freely and boldly.
A few rounds later, Xia Mingtang clutched her tighter, her body trembling uncontrollably.
Exhausted but awakened, she tried to escape, only to be pulled back by Qin Yan holding her ankles.
Sitting positions were exhilarating but taxing on the arms.
Qin Yan’s palms moved over her firm curves, leaving marks of ownership everywhere.
The gentle torment made Xia Mingtang cling to the pillow, trying to avoid him, but a strong hand held her thighs firmly.
A nimble tongue, wet and agile, lavished attention on the most sensitive parts.
“Enough! Enough!” Xia Mingtang cried.
“Not enough, again,” Qin Yan replied, lifting her into her arms from behind, biting her ear gently.
Xia Mingtang’s body, like a sluice gate opening, overflowed uncontrollably.
By the end, even her legs and his hands were messy.
Exhausted, Xia Mingtang finally lost consciousness.
In a half-conscious state in the middle of the night, she felt a hand roaming inside her…
—
When she woke again, the sheets had been changed to creamy white linen.
Seeing Qin Yan sleeping beside her and recalling everything from last night, Xia Mingtang angrily kicked.
“Mm~”
Mid-kick, she noticed something strange. She involuntarily let out a soft moan.
Sitting up and lifting the blanket, her face instantly flushed red.
This pervert hadn’t removed his hand all night?
She grabbed the restless hand and tried to pull it out.
Qin Yan, still asleep, instinctively hugged her tightly. The hand moved slightly again.
Xia Mingtang: …
Damn it!
She glared and forcefully said, “Out.”
Qin Yan opened her eyes, slowly realizing what she meant. She reluctantly withdrew her hand but couldn’t resist teasing a little.
“Humph~” Soft and weak, Xia Mingtang had to brace herself with her hands to prevent collapsing.
Her palms got wet from the pressure.
Seeing the darkened sheets, Xia Mingtang was at her limit.
“It’s all your fault! You ruined perfectly good sheets!”
She said this as if the wet sheets had nothing to do with her at all.
Qin Yan, now fully awake, got up and hugged her to reassure, “Don’t worry. We have plenty of sheets.”
Xia Mingtang: !
Warm and delicate bodies pressed close. She bit the beautiful shoulder before her.
Qin Yan winced but didn’t stop, lifting her into her arms and carrying her toward the bathroom.
Suspended in the air, Xia Mingtang had to clutch Qin Yan’s neck to avoid falling.
Qin Yan happily supported her, opening the bathtub faucet.
Realizing Qin Yan’s intent, Xia Mingtang felt awkward. Even though they had tried many positions before, bathing together was a new experience…
“Put me down!”
She struggled but Qin Yan lightly pinched her buttocks.
Kissing her gently, Qin Yan said, “It’s my responsibility to take care of you since I got you into this state.”
Xia Mingtang: …
Her legs were dangling, and every attempt to escape led to more teasing.
The tub filled quickly; Qin Yan tested the water temperature and stepped in with her.
Finally, Xia Mingtang climbed to the other side.
She glared at the mischievous “big-tailed wolf” beside her.
“I warn you, if you don’t stop, I’ll move out.”
Qin Yan’s eyes softened. She held her slender ankles and said, “Tang Tang, don’t forget, you’re already my wife.”
Seeing Xia Mingtang’s tense expression, she smiled, “Don’t worry. Right now, I just want to help you get clean.”
