The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 24
The memory of a straight-A student is always different from ordinary people. Qin Huai, with not a small number of lines in the three drafts, sat at the main platform, her hand resting on the black microphone. Her back was slightly hunched, and she looked up, her eyes full of scrutiny, staring at the sports field.
As the omega’s slightly cool voice ended, a straight figure flashed past the main platform. The alpha, tall and slender, strode with big steps, her nostrils covered in fine sweat, leading the second-place runner by almost half a track.
As she welcomed her victory, she raised her hands and rushed towards the finish line, the bright red tape falling to the ground. Shen Zhi, crossing the finish line, uncontrollably lunged forward a few small steps.
Then, with the long, sharp whistle sounding at the end of the three thousand meter track, applause and cheers instantly drowned out all other sounds.
Shen Zhi won the race.
Qin Huai’s tense muscles finally relaxed, and only then did she remember the person beside her.
As early as when Qin Huai recited the first paragraph of the draft, Lin Qiu and Zhang Mo beside her were stunned, and their reactions were different.
Lin Qiu thought: You two really are involved.
Zhang Mo thought: Wow, as expected of Shen Zhi.
The main platform suddenly fell silent. Qin Huai moved the microphone away, adjusted her clothes, and placed her clean fingers on the table, motioning with her eyes for Zhang Mo to release the person.
She glanced sideways, her head instinctively leaning to the side.
However, Zhang Mo was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t react.
Qin Huai didn’t feel awkward and instead cleared her throat to remind her.
Zhang Mo finally snapped back, first awkwardly grinning at Qin Huai, her expression honest and simple, and then, before letting go of Lin Qiu, she patted her cheek with her palm, her tone contemptuous and disdainful, “Don’t try any tricks.”
This scene was somewhat dark.
Qin Huai thought to herself.
After Zhang Mo released her, she took a small step back, stood behind Lin Qiu with her palms resting on the back of her hands, and respectfully told Qin Huai, “Boss, it’s done.”
Qin Huai: “…”
With her arm freed from the iron-vice-like restraint, Lin Qiu’s expression visibly relaxed. She slumped her back and curled a sarcastic smile onto her lips, “Qin Huai, why didn’t I notice before that you were so good at seducing alphas.”
Qin Huai didn’t speak, her gaze sliding from Lin Qiu’s face to every part of her body, her expression so serious it was as if she were seeing her for the first time.
Lin Qiu’s looks hadn’t changed, still that gentle, unstriking beauty. Just looking at her face, one couldn’t find any flaw, but no one knew that such a face of an alpha harbored such a heart.
Qin Huai had previously fallen into the illusion created by Lin Qiu an illusion calm on the surface but turbulent inside.
She actually wanted to try things out with such a person before?
Truly blind, no matter how she looked at it.
“Looking at me like that, are you willing to come back to me?” Lin Qiu’s smile widened after she spoke, and she spread her arms in an all-accepting gesture, “I won’t mind.”
“I was really blind before,” Qin Huai continued her sentence, her tone deep and calm, as if narrating a very ordinary thing, “I wish I had never met you.”
Lin Qiu’s smile stiffened, her eyes widened, and several fine wrinkles appeared on her forehead.
After breaking up, Qin Huai never mentioned Lin Qiu’s wrongdoings to anyone, even though it ended in such an undignified way; she still felt it was unnecessary.
But in the few minutes she rushed onto the track today, countless assumptions popped into her head.
If Lin Qiu had Shen Zhi’s personality, would she have done the same thing?
The answer was no.
Shen Zhi had two chances to mark Qin Huai during a moment of irrational heat, she wouldn’t even need coercion or temptation. A few gentle words, and Qin Huai would have submitted.
But Shen Zhi didn’t.
She gave Qin Huai sufficient respect.
This was the first time Qin Huai was so grateful to a person, so grateful that she couldn’t stand anyone speaking ill of her.
Qin Huai stood up from her seat, her expression as steady as a mountain, “Lin Qiu, don’t deplete our past feelings. I don’t want to feel disgusted when someone mentions you later.”
Having said that, she nodded toward Zhang Mo, signaling that they could leave.
As Qin Huai turned around, she saw Shen Zhi standing below the main platform. A circular gold medal hung on her chest, bright and clear in the sunlight, coated with a shallow gold, shining brilliantly.
Qin Huai quickly descended the platform and walked up to Shen Zhi. The alpha had just finished running; the hair at her temples was still damp with sweat, and her face was covered in it. She squinted her eyes and smiled, her expression innocent and harmless, “Qin Huai, I got first place, isn’t that amazing?”
After multiple attempts to correct her form of address proved futile, Qin Huai had gotten used to the alpha’s lack of respect for seniority. She nodded and praised her unreservedly, “Very amazing.”
“I want to change my clothes.” The clothes were sticking to her sweat-covered skin, soaking a large area and feeling uncomfortable. Shen Zhi hooked her finger under the hem of her shirt, pulling it out a little to stop it from clinging so tightly, “Come with me.”
With that unintentional movement, the alpha’s shirt hem rolled up, revealing a straight line that divided her abdomen into two halves. The muscles on both sides of the line were taut and radiated a healthy glow. Transparent beads of sweat rolled down her skin, tracing over the winding lines of her abs, finally disappearing into the waistband of her pants.
While reading the draft on the main platform, Qin Huai’s mind was clear, but at this moment, she only felt her cheeks burning.
“No,” the omega directly refused.
The alpha, who was full of enthusiasm just a moment ago, now looked like a dog that had been stepped on, her expression wronged and sad, “Do you think I’m useless?”
Qin Huai: “???”
“No one will like a useless alpha like me.” Shen Zhi pursed her lips, raised her hand to take off the gold medal, then stepped forward and hung it around the omega’s neck, her expression full of drama, “This is the first-place gold medal I won, I’m giving it to you.”
Shen Zhi, at this moment, didn’t look like an alpha at all, but more like a big dog that had been disliked by its owner and then returned home with a bone in its mouth, her expression selfless and resigned.
Qin Huai was utterly exasperated, “Change, change, I hope you take a full hour to change.”
The next second, Shen Zhi beamed and grabbed Qin Huai’s wrist to thank her, “Qin Huai, you’re so nice.”
“Hurry up and go.” If they delayed any longer, it would get dark, and a sudden breeze was sure to cause a cold.
After Qin Huai spoke, she turned to Zhang Mo, who was two meters behind her, “Thank you just now. I’ll treat you to a meal later.”
“Really? Thank you, Senior,” Zhang Mo quickly walked up to Qin Huai and thanked her directly, then gave Shen Zhi a provocative look, “Shen Zhi, got a problem with that?”
Shen Zhi naturally didn’t bother to respond. Regardless of the reason, Qin Huai was treating her to a meal.
“Go if you want to go,” Shen Zhi’s voice was tinged with disgust as she pulled Qin Huai’s wrist and walked forward.
Shen Zhi took a step ahead of Qin Huai. As they left the sight of the main platform, she looked back at Lin Qiu again.
Her eyes were completely different from before, like a hungry wolf that hadn’t eaten for days, her expression fierce and aggressive.
Omegas were not allowed into the alpha dormitory. Zhang Mo had been called away by her advisor for an unexpected matter, leaving only Qin Huai standing downstairs.
Most people were on the sports field today, with only a few in the dorms, so the area outside the dormitory building was extremely quiet.
Opposite Shen Zhi’s dormitory building was a large patch of greenery filled with clover, looking very vibrant.
Qin Huai was about to take a closer look when, the moment she turned around, a familiar sensation of heat surged through her body.
That was the sign of her heat cycle arriving.
