The Villain Has A Yuri Halo [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 42
Li Ju was completely unbothered by the “spectacle” she had created. She leisurely watched Fang Yihan’s stunned reaction, while the “heavenly” shrieks played in her ears. Li Ju leaned back gracefully against the pillows and continued peeling her second banana, eating with gusto. She even wiggled the banana mischievously and asked Fang Yihan, “Want a bite?”
She wasn’t offering to peel another one. She was asking to share a bite of the banana she had already tasted.
Fang Yihan admitted she wanted to leave a lasting impression on Li Ju and seize the chance to get closer, but she had forgotten that Li Ju was not a player with a normal playbook. She was a bug in the game!
Fang Yihan covered the cheek that had been kissed, glaring at the other woman with a look of grievance.
“What’s wrong? You don’t want the banana? Or is it me you want to eat?”
Fang Yihan could no longer keep her composure. She awkwardly said, “I…I’m going to see why Sister Cai isn’t back yet.”
“Oh, are you shy? You’re too innocent. It makes me doubt what you said earlier. Are you sure we hugged several times a day? Can you be sure how many times we kissed every day?” Li Ju had clearly seen through Fang Yihan, but she wouldn’t let the girl, whose face was so red you could fry an egg on it, off the hook. She curved her captivating eyes into a happy smile, watching Fang Yihan with delight.
Fang Yihan’s fleeing form paused. She turned around and scoffed at Li Ju.
Li Ju blinked and chewed on her banana. Huh? It seemed she had provoked Fang Yihan too much. To save face, she was no longer flustered.
Fang Yihan lifted her chin proudly and spoke slowly, “There’s a limit to how many times we can hug, but there’s no limit to how many times we can kiss. If I want a kiss, you have to agree! Don’t you dare not believe me, because that’s exactly what you used to do!”
Li Ju shook her head confidently. “Impossible. Do I look like the kind of person who would listen to others? You can tell from all my reactions that I’m a wild and untamable person. The idea of me obediently listening to you is something you can only dream of.”
Fang Yihan bit her lip. How was this woman still so difficult to deal with, even after losing her memory?!
Li Ju crooked her finger at Fang Yihan, her beautiful eyes glistening like water. It was a charm offensive that she seemed to have mastered without any instruction. Li Ju said, “Come here.”
Fang Yihan shuffled over in small, hesitant steps. “What are you going to do now?” she asked, her voice full of curiosity.
Li Ju pointed to her own cheek, her tone placid. “Did you forget something?”
Fang Yihan’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Are…are you asking me to kiss you?”
Li Ju retorted, “No? Or do you not want to?”
Of course Fang Yihan wanted to! She just had a bad feeling that there was a catch.
But when Fang Yihan looked at the delicate yet stunningly beautiful woman, she was so consumed with lust that she bent over. She hadn’t expected to be so bold. But it didn’t matter. She’d kiss her first and worry about the rest later! Li Ju could yell at her all she wanted. Besides, she had been wanting to do this for a long time.
Her lips landed on Li Ju’s cheek, like a seal on a promise.
Li Ju was once again sure that Fang Yihan’s touch made her heart beat faster. Her eyes grew deep as she unhesitatingly grabbed Fang Yihan by the waist, pulling her into an embrace.
Fang Yihan gasped, but her voice was quickly swallowed by Li Ju.
Li Ju’s lips were as soft and sweet as a piece of sugary pastry, arousing a hunger in her that made her want to devour it all.
Fang Yihan’s initial shock turned into joy. She had a little more experience than Li Ju, so she patiently led Li Ju to taste the sweet deliciousness of the pastry.
It was a tender, passionate, sweet, and lingering kiss.
Fang Yihan used her arms to hold herself up, afraid of putting too much weight on Li Ju and making her uncomfortable.
But Li Ju held her waist tightly, not letting her leave. With no other choice, Fang Yihan had to listen to Li Ju and lie on top of her, continuing the kiss.
When their lips finally parted, Li Ju traced Fang Yihan’s slightly swollen lips with her finger. Her low, husky voice made Fang Yihan’s lower back tingle. “Do you know why I asked you to kiss me again?”
Fang Yihan was out of breath and could only blink her eyes, showing her curiosity.
Li Ju lowered her gaze and laughed. “Because that’s the master’s right. If I tell you to kiss me, you have to listen. When I want to kiss you, you have to give yourself to me without any hesitation.”
Fang Yihan was overjoyed and sat up abruptly. “You…you remember?” she asked, her voice full of hope.
Li Ju smiled lazily, pretending to be mysterious. “That kiss you just gave me brought back a few scattered memories.”
Fang Yihan sat on the edge of the bed, excited and eager. “Should I kiss you again?”
Li Ju’s eyes darted away. “No!” she said quickly.
“Why not?”
Li Ju didn’t want to tell Fang Yihan that she was afraid of losing control, so she vaguely replied, “I’m a patient. I can’t do any strenuous activity!”
“What kind of strenuous activity?”
Li Ju’s face darkened. Damn it, she couldn’t even come up with a decent excuse. She was so stupid.
Seeing her frustration, Fang Yihan affectionately touched her head. The doctor said the wound wasn’t serious and would heal quickly, but she hadn’t expected such a small injury to cause Li Ju’s amnesia.
She asked worriedly, “Does remembering a little bit make you uncomfortable? Maybe I should go find a doctor.”
Li Ju grabbed her arm. “No need to bother the doctor,” she said without changing her expression. “It doesn’t hurt at all. But if you were to go out looking like that, it would be a problem.”
Fang Yihan frowned in confusion. Li Ju pointed at Fang Yihan’s lips. “It’s obvious you’ve just been kissed.”
The satisfaction and mischief in Li Ju’s voice made Fang Yihan puff out her cheeks. She shot a slightly annoyed glance at Li Ju. “Don’t talk about me, you are too!”
Li Ju didn’t care at all. “So what? I did kiss you.”
Fang Yihan felt that she would never be able to win against Li Ju, even if she had another five hundred years to train. She sighed in defeat, but thinking about the kiss, she couldn’t help but smile sweetly. “I’ll never leave you in this lifetime, no matter what you say. Even if you try to kick me out, I won’t go. There won’t be a second Fang Yihan in this world, just like there’s no second Li Ju. I’ll cherish and protect you so, so much. Will you do the same for me?”
The pure, innocent look in her eyes unknowingly put a sort of constraint on Li Ju, as if she could only feel this special affection for Fang Yihan, and she had tied the knot on this constraint herself.
Li Ju reigned in her inner turmoil, pretending to be nonchalant as she laughed. “Don’t take advantage of my amnesia to covet me. I’m your master. If you want to love me, you have to get my permission first.”
Fang Yihan completely ignored her threats. She gave a proud huff, as if she were about to leave.
“Hey.”
“What?”
“Say ‘master’ before you leave so I can hear it.”
What reason did Fang Yihan have to refuse? With Li Ju’s reflection in her clear, gentle eyes, she shyly whispered, “Master.”
Li Ju’s body and soul were filled with happiness, and her voice was surprisingly tender. “Good girl.”
She had no idea what kind of blow her “good girl” had on Fang Yihan. All Fang Yihan knew was that she couldn’t remember when she left the room or how she walked out.
She turned and pressed her head against the wall.
“Hehe.”
“Little one, what are you doing?”
Li Ju couldn’t hear the conversation outside. She comfortably closed her eyes and lay still.
She felt like it had been a long time since she had been able to be this lazy.
Suddenly, her life felt so easy.
Plus, she had two strange, chattering things to keep her company. This was probably what a heavenly life felt like.
[Host, you can’t abandon your character just because you have amnesia! It’s over. Why do I feel like the female lead has changed into a completely different person now that the host has amnesia?]
[Ah, so soft, so happy. I can smell love again. It’s just a little bit impure, probably because you two are being too polite. It’s understandable, though, since the parasite’s head got smashed. But on that note, isn’t a memory-less parasite happier? You no longer have to follow that awful plot and do those tasks.]
A’Ci was full of glee, but System 666 was fantasizing about another accident, one that would make the program bring both of them back. Even if the mission failed, it would be more acceptable to System 666 than the current situation.
However, the rigid program had no reaction. In its judgment settings, as long as the mission was progressing smoothly without any signs of failure, the program would not easily make a judgment or force an exit from the world.
When Li Ju chose to jump, she did what was expected of her, so in the program’s scans, she had completed a crucial part of the plot. And Li Ju’s amnesia was reasonably considered by the program to be a normal consequence of the fall, just like how the plot said she would break both her legs and be confined to a wheelchair for life after the fall. This was the reason for System 666’s breakdown.
Li Ju looked calm and composed, as if she hadn’t heard a thing.
They could say whatever they wanted. Did their messy words have anything to do with her?
As long as Li Ju didn’t respond, there was no connection.
This was the first time System 666 had ever encountered this situation. It had been playing its one-man show for a while, but Li Ju still hadn’t responded. It could only go back and call for backup, feeling all wronged.
But A’Ci had a completely different mindset. It didn’t have any tasks or plot points for Li Ju to complete; all it wanted was to grow up quickly. The prerequisite for its growth was to eat the main course of love, so it was dying for Li Ju to get into a relationship today and get straight to business tomorrow.
[Oh, parasite, I didn’t realize you were so active. It’s only been a few days since you lost your memory, and you’ve already surpassed the number of kisses from the past few months. Impressive!]
[You need to hurry up and fall in love. I’m so, so hungry.]
Li Ju, who was feigning sleep, deepened the curve of her lips.
Her love would never be tainted by selfish motives. To fall in love just for the sake of some unknown creature would be the ultimate betrayal of her character.
The love she wanted had to be pure.
Li Ju gradually fell asleep. The hospital room door, which had been pushed open, quickly closed again.
Fang Yihan whispered softly, “She’s asleep.”
Sister Cai nodded and then looked at Fang Yihan’s lips, frowning and asking in a low voice, “What have you been up to?”
Fang Yihan blinked innocently. “I was secretly eating some spicy strips.”
Sister Cai closed her eyes in exasperation. What could she do? What could she possibly do? Her star had amnesia, and there were so many awful things happening already. One more thing wouldn’t really matter.
She gritted her teeth. “Then eat fewer spicy strips in the future!”
“That depends on Li Ju…”
Without another word, Sister Cai turned and left. There was no point in talking to these two; she’d be better off putting her energy into public relations.
The thought of PR gave Sister Cai a headache.
She couldn’t let it get out that Li Ju had amnesia. What if no one wanted to hire her anymore?
Sigh, Long Jing’an, you really screwed up.
*******
Inside the hospital room, two older people were speaking in hushed tones. The man wearing glasses was actually only in his fifties, but he looked haggard and aged, as if a great weight were crushing his shoulders.
Long Shuda said to his wife, Yao Zelan, “Let’s not wait until tomorrow. Let’s go this afternoon.”
Yao Zelan instinctively squinted. It was the only way she could clearly make out her husband’s face. She shared the same tired, aged look as Long Shuda. She nodded. “Okay, whatever you say.”
“Dad, Mom, who are you going to see?”
Long Jing’an, who had been lying on the bed staring out the window, slowly turned his head. Since being hospitalized, the refined-looking young man seemed to have lost all his spark. He was apathetic and gloomy, having clearly understood his future from Sister Cai’s attitude.
Was Long Jing’an willing to accept this?
He was not.
To debut, he had grit his teeth and completed his dance teacher’s assignments. He wanted to be a big star, and more than anything, he wanted a rich life.
But now, he had nothing.
Thanks to a female star, he had stood out and successfully debuted. He had ridden Li Ju’s coattails all the way to the top, which was why his haters always called him a mooch. It made him feel wronged.
It was strange. She was a beautiful and famous celebrity, and it seemed so easy to fall for her. But Long Jing’an had no feelings for her at all. Sometimes, just seeing Li Ju would give him a feeling of resistance, as if they were natural opposites.
Long Jing’an couldn’t remember why he had attacked Li Ju. Was it out of rage? Or was his pride hurt? It didn’t matter anymore.
His eyes were dead, and it broke his parents’ hearts.
“We wronged her after all,” Long Shuda said. “Your mother and I have been wanting to apologize to her. We didn’t teach you well, and we’ll admit that. If we apologize to her properly, maybe your career will have a chance.”
Long Shuda didn’t understand the entertainment industry. He had no other thoughts about his son’s determination to debut besides supporting him; he just wanted his son to be happy. So they had learned the whole story from an assistant and finally understood who Long Jing’an had offended. They couldn’t bear to see their son’s hard-won career go down in flames. No matter what, they had to fight for him.
Long Jing’an’s heart was a hollow shell. “You don’t need to see Li Ju. It’ll be a waste of time. That woman…heh, she’s not going to let me off the hook.”
Long Shuda considered his words and asked carefully, “Didn’t she like you? You were seriously hurt, and besides, you’re still young, so your temper is naturally a bit impulsive. Your mother and I will go and give it a try. How will we know if we don’t try?”
“Dad! Are you kidding me?! Can you stop talking about this?! The only reason I, your son, was able to debut wasn’t because of my face or my singing. It was her that brought me attention and made people notice me. She liked me, that’s true, but that doesn’t mean I’ll beg her for forgiveness using that!” Long Jing’an sat up abruptly, his face a furious shade of green.
Yao Zelan sighed and tried to calm him down. “Okay, okay, we’ll listen to you, An. Your father and I just want to apologize to that girl. I also didn’t agree with your dad’s idea, but now he should give up on it.”
Long Shuda adjusted his glasses, looking embarrassed. “I just want An to continue being a star! What do you know? If you don’t know, just be quiet!”
Long Jing’an glared at his father. “Dad, if you don’t want to be here to take care of me, just go home. Don’t scold Mom in front of me all day. You’ve been fighting for over twenty years. Aren’t you tired of it?”
Yao Zelan tugged on Long Shuda’s arm and said gently, “An, don’t be angry. Your father is much better than before, all because you’ve grown up and you protect me now.”
Long Jing’an irritably ran his hands through his hair. “You can go see Li Ju, but don’t beg her! She won’t let me off the hook, and your apology might just anger her more. My life will only get worse.”
“Okay, your father and I will listen to you.”
Long Shuda felt that he was losing his authority in front of his son. He scowled, threw off Yao Zelan’s hand, and left the room.
Yao Zelan didn’t mind her husband’s coldness; she was used to it.
She calmly picked up a lunchbox, preparing to go to the cafeteria to buy lunch.
Long Jing’an, who had just lashed out at his parents, covered his face with the blanket, trying to escape reality.
He suddenly had no schedule, which made his fans very nervous. They were supposed to be filming a variety show, so why had he vanished into thin air?
That’s when Sister Cai used her PR team to distract the fans, saying that his “private schedule” might be a good thing, a secret filming session.
Sister Cai proved why she was a famous agent. She used her connections to change Long Jing’an’s regular guest appearance to a one-time flight, making his whereabouts even more of a mystery. No one would have ever guessed that Long Jing’an and Li Ju were in the same hospital.
To avoid any more trouble, Sister Cai contacted another private hospital. Today was the day for Li Ju to transfer.
Fang Yihan leaned over to cover Li Ju with a thin blanket. She meticulously checked Li Ju’s hat and mask, afraid that someone would recognize her as the famous celebrity Li Ju.
“Let’s go.” After she finished speaking, she couldn’t help but touch Li Ju’s hair, making Li Ju look up at her.
“What’s wrong?” Fang Yihan mumbled.
“The way you’re doing that, it feels like you’re petting a dog.” Li Ju’s eyes were indifferent as she looked at the mischievous Fang Yihan. She teased her.
Fang Yihan smiled and complimented her. “There’s no dog as pretty as you.”
Li Ju raised a hand and slapped her on the butt. It was a good thing she was in a wheelchair; she could spank her without even having to bend over.
Fang Yihan looked around nervously. “What are you doing!” she whispered.
“What am I doing? I’m hitting you.”
Li Ju enjoyed Fang Yihan’s red face. This person was so thin-skinned. She had done much more audacious things, yet she was still blushing.
“There are people here.”
“What’s there to be afraid of? If someone asks, I’ll just say I’m dusting you off.” Li Ju’s calm and condescending words made Fang Yihan feel like she was overreacting.
She sheepishly changed the subject. It was no use arguing with Li Ju; she’d never win.
“Li Ju!” She Huan arrived with Fang Wenxiu, both of them carrying bags. Even though Li Ju hadn’t been there for long, her friends had bought her a lot of stuff.
“Little one, are you not feeling well? Your face is so red.”
Li Ju couldn’t help but chuckle. She Huan raised an eyebrow and looked at Li Ju with a knowing look.
Li Ju rolled her eyes at her. Even though she had amnesia, the past few days had taught Li Ju that She Huan was a very close friend. Maybe her body still remembered something from before; she was slowly growing familiar with She Huan, and now she could even understand what her looks meant.
Fang Yihan gave an awkward laugh. “Is it? I don’t feel anything. Sis, you’ve been in Beicheng for so many days. When are you going home?”
Just then, Sister Cai pulled the car up to them. Fang Yihan helped Li Ju into the car.
Li Ju teased, “It’s a good thing it’s only one leg that’s hurt; I can still walk on one leg.”
Fang Yihan was not happy about that comment. She snapped, “Shut up!”
Li Ju was startled. She looked at Fang Yihan with a lost expression and said stubbornly, “Fine, I won’t say it. Why are you being so mean?”
Fang Yihan gritted her teeth, too lazy to even offer an explanation.
She Huan, on the other hand, slapped her thigh and laughed without any reservation. She was worried about Li Ju’s amnesia, but as long as she was alive, it was good. So She Huan quickly accepted the situation. She also consciously noticed the change in Fang Yihan but actually, Li Ju’s change was even more significant.
Li Ju shot a vicious glare at her, and only then did She Huan manage to hold back her laughter.
Sister Cai had arranged a job for Li Ju this time. She handed Li Ju a script and said earnestly, “Your highness, I haven’t told the director or anyone else about your amnesia. I’ve also made arrangements with the hospital. They’re obligated to protect a patient’s privacy, so as long as no one does a deep investigation, only our people will know about your amnesia. What you need to do now is get back into acting immediately. Don’t spend all day just eating and sleeping, or you’ll turn into an idiot!”
Li Ju didn’t think it would be difficult at all. She casually took the script. “Uh-huh.”
Sister Cai was serious. “Luckily, we’ve filmed most of the action scenes. Now all that’s left are the dramatic ones. The director knows about your situation and is giving you some time off. You should use this time to get a feel for the role again.”
Li Ju nodded. “I understand.”
But Fang Yihan hadn’t expected Sister Cai to give her a task, too. Sister Cai said, “Yihan told me you two have rehearsed together before. That’s good. You don’t have to find someone else to practice with. You can rehearse with Yihan.”
As soon as she said that, Fang Yihan’s face turned red, and she looked everywhere but at Li Ju.
Li Ju propped her face on her arm. “Fang Yihan, you seem a little off.”
Did something happen during that rehearsal?
