The Ultra-Alpha School Hunk Has Transmigrated into a Cannon Fodder Omega! - Chapter 28
The consequence of the Academic Representative being overly excited was that he drank far too much. He leaned heavily against Wang Hao and said miserably, “Ritian, I truly do not want to study anymore, and I do not want to be the Academic Representative either.”
Wang Hao took a sip of his drink and replied, “Then just stop doing it. Come and have fun with me instead.”
The Academic Representative looked as though he were bearing the weight of the world. “You do not understand. I was born to be the Academic Representative.”
“Why is that?” Wang Hao asked.
“Because my name is Xue Wei,” he replied, which sounded exactly like the title for his position.
Wang Hao paused for a few seconds before he realized what had been said. He frowned and asked, “That is a clever name, but are you telling me a cold joke?”
The Academic Representative thought for a long while before responding, “Is it cold? I thought it was quite funny. Perhaps my parents wanted to tell a joke, but they should not have used my name as the punchline. I am so miserable. I am truly too miserable!” As he spoke, he grew increasingly despondent, and it looked as though he were about to burst into tears. Wang Hao hurriedly comforted him for a long time before he finally calmed down.
When a group of boys gathers, they are bound to be rowdy. Now that they were drunk, the chaos only intensified. Someone suggested that everyone should share the most embarrassing thing they had ever done.
Wang Hao thought about it and said, “You guys go first. I have too many embarrassing stories, so I need to compare them to pick the best one.”
The Academic Representative held his bottle and raised a shaky hand. “Organization, I request to speak first.”
Li Tianrui declared, “Granted!”
The Academic Representative put down his bottle and said solemnly, “When I was little, I was very curious about my father smoking. I wanted to try it myself. One day when my parents were not home, I sat on the sofa with a cigarette in my mouth. Once I started, I felt like something was missing. I tried to imitate my father by slumping into the sofa, sighing sadly, and frowning as if I were a world-weary man controlled by a strict wife. But I was unlucky that day. My mother came home early. The moment she opened the door, she caught me smoking.”
At this point, he took another sorrowful sip of wine and sighed, unable to continue. Yang Shu, who was listening intently, urged him, “Keep going! Do not leave us hanging!”
He continued, “I do not know what was going through my head, but I tried to be clever by staying in character. I looked at her with a face full of sorrow mixed with forced joy and said, ‘Yingying, you are back.'”
Yang Shu and the others were laughing so hard they could barely breathe. The Academic Representative smiled bitterly and added, “I was beaten so badly that day. I thought I was going to meet my long-deceased grandfather. But that is not all. For days afterward, I wondered what had been missing from my performance. Later, I finally realized that I had forgotten to light the cigarette!”
The group doubled over with laughter. Wang Hao remarked, “Compared to you, my story is not embarrassing at all. I only walked into the ladies’ restroom by mistake once.”
Yang Shu countered, “Wang Hao, have some perspective. The Academic Representative’s story is funny, but yours is truly embarrassing.”
Trying to shift the focus, Wang Hao asked, “Brother Jiang, do you have any embarrassing stories?”
Jiang Mosen gave a dangerously charming smile. “Wang Hao, have I given you too much freedom lately? You actually dare to ask me such a question?”
Wang Hao quickly backed down. “Everyone else shared. It feels wrong if you do not say anything. How about I change the question?”
From a corner, someone shouted, “Brother Jiang, what kind of Omega do you like?”
The Omegas who had been uninterested suddenly perked up and listened intently. Jiang Mosen laughed helplessly and asked, “What kind of person do you think I like?”
Everyone scrambled to answer. Some suggested a pure and innocent girl, others a cute and petite one, while some guessed a cool and sexy woman or even a seductive type. Jiang Mosen joked, “Who said that last one? Come out and face your punishment!”
Ji Cenzhou thought about it and said, “I know the answer to this one.” Everyone looked at him as he continued, “Jiang Mosen likes the kind and innocent type, like a little white flower.”
Li Tianrui asked, “What does ‘little white flower’ mean?”
Ji Cenzhou explained, “It means someone pure and fragile, but with low emotional intelligence or even someone a bit slow.” He chose the most positive words he could find to describe the trope.
Jiang Mosen looked at him with a complicated expression. “Why do you think I like that type?”
In truth, Ji Cenzhou did not think Jiang Mosen would actually settle for someone like that, but his fate had been written by the original author. According to the “destined match” setting, Jiang Mosen could not fall for anyone else.
Wang Hao urged, “Brother Jiang, stop teasing us and just tell us.”
Jiang Mosen finally spoke. “I like someone who is cute but unaware of it.”
Li Tianrui complained, “That is too abstract. Be more specific.”
Jiang Mosen smiled and said, “I am afraid that if I am too specific, that person will be shy when they hear it.”
The room was silent for a few seconds before it exploded with excitement. The boys began cheering. They teased him about having a target in mind and wondered who had stolen the heart of the school’s most popular student.
Jiang Mosen laughed. “Do not get ahead of yourselves. I am just speaking in general. That person does not exist yet.”
Wang Hao pressed him further. “Since that person does not exist, tell us the details. We promise not to tell them!”
Amidst the cheering, Jiang Mosen said, “They have a bit of a temper, but they are very cute. When they are scared, they dive into my arms and rub their fluffy hair against my neck. When they are upset, their face gets all wet from crying, but they still stubbornly insist they are fine. They rely on me and trust me deeply.”
Wang Hao sighed, “What a heavenly Omega!”
Ji Cenzhou thought about his cousin’s personality and then looked at Jiang Mosen. Feeling a bit sympathetic, he said, “Sometimes ideals are great, but reality is harsh. Do not imagine them to be too perfect.”
Jiang Mosen smiled and replied, “No, that person is exactly that cute.”
Ji Cenzhou looked at him skeptically. “Well, try not to be too disappointed when the time comes.”
“I will not be disappointed,” Jiang Mosen stated. “I am certain of it.”
The result of the previous night’s indulgence was that the boys were slumped over their desks on Monday morning, completely drained of energy. Xu Lei was worried and asked if there was a flu going around. The students could not explain the truth and simply made excuses about the cold weather or minor headaches. Xu Lei urged them to take care of themselves and go to the infirmary if they felt truly unwell.
After class, Wang Hao collapsed on his desk. “I regret it. I deeply regret it. I will never drink that much again.”
Ji Cenzhou laughed and asked, “Will you go to the next gathering?”
Wang Hao paused. “I will still go!”
“And will you drink?” Ji Cenzhou asked.
“Yes! It is not fun if I do not drink!” Wang Hao replied.
Ji Cenzhou smiled. “Then I will join you next time.” He then turned to Jiang Mosen. “Are you free after school today?”
Jiang Mosen looked up. “For tutoring?”
“Yes,” Ji Cenzhou said. “It feels as though a century has passed since our last session. I actually miss it.”
Jiang Mosen joked, “Is that so? Then I will assign you more problems today.”
Jiang Mosen was a man of his word. Ji Cenzhou stared at the physics problems on the worksheet with a miserable expression, having no idea how to solve them. His mind began to wander, and he pulled a lollipop out of his bag. Just as he peeled off the wrapper, he noticed Jiang Mosen staring at him.
“Do you want some?” Ji Cenzhou asked.
“What flavor is it?” Jiang Mosen inquired.
“Strawberry.”
“Okay, give it to me then.”
Ji Cenzhou reluctantly handed the strawberry lollipop to Jiang Mosen. It was his favorite flavor and his very last one. Jiang Mosen took it and looked at Ji Cenzhou’s pouty expression with amusement. “Open your mouth,” he commanded.
Ji Cenzhou instinctively opened his mouth. The next second, the sweet taste of strawberry filled his senses. He was stunned and could not help but smile. “Why did you give it back?”
Jiang Mosen replied, “You looked at this lollipop with such longing and a wronged expression, as if I were a villain stealing candy from a child. I was afraid you would burst into tears if I actually ate it.”
Ji Cenzhou was not offended by being compared to a child. “I have many other flavors. See which one you like.” He rummaged through his bag and listed them: green apple, grape, orange, and mint.
“I will have the mint one,” Jiang Mosen said.
Ji Cenzhou paused, thinking that Jiang Mosen truly loved the scent of his own pheromones, before handing the lollipop over. As they both ate their candies, Ji Cenzhou looked at the wrappers. “This brand likes to develop new flavors. I heard they are coming out with floral lollipops soon, like rose, osmanthus, and jasmine. I hope they make a locust flower flavor. I love that scent. By the way, Monitor, what flavor do you like?”
Jiang Mosen looked at Ji Cenzhou with eyes like dark ink, swirling with suppressed emotions. He smirked like a hunter watching his prey walk into a trap. His voice was deep and magnetic as he spoke.
“I like the scent of Chinese roses.”
