The Ultra-Alpha School Hunk Has Transmigrated into a Cannon Fodder Omega! - Chapter 15
Sunday night, 9:00 PM, at the bar.
Young men and women swayed their bodies wantonly on the dance floor. The music was deafening, and the air was thick with the faint smell of tobacco and alcohol. Under the blurry, dim lights, the ambiguous tones numbed the senses, encouraging people to cast off their daytime restraints and slowly sink into this surreal world.
After finishing his dance, Ji Cenzhou was surprised to see Jiang Mosen by the bar. The latter was also looking at him; seeing him glance over, Jiang Mosen nodded in greeting.
Ji Cenzhou sat down directly next to him.
“Why are you here again?” Ji Cenzhou asked.
Could it be that the top student is so suppressed at school that he needs to come out and let loose?
“I came because I had the time.” Jiang Mosen swirled the glass in his hand, causing the ice cubes to clink against the rim. “The taste of this drink is quite good.”
“What kind of drink is it?” Under the refraction of the lights, the liquid glowed an emerald green, looking very aesthetically pleasing.
“Peppermint liqueur,” Jiang Mosen said. “The alcohol content is relatively low. Do you want to try some? My treat.”
Ji Cenzhou’s interest was piqued. He figured a small sip would not make him drunk, so he nodded in agreement.
The bartender quickly mixed a glass of peppermint liqueur and placed it in front of him. Ji Cenzhou took a light sip and found the entrance crisp and refreshing, with a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste. The flavor was indeed excellent.
Ji Cenzhou nodded, not holding back his praise. “I like this taste.”
Jiang Mosen paused. His gaze lingered on Ji Cenzhou’s lips and teeth, his eyes darkening slightly. After a few seconds, he smiled to himself, thinking that the dancer was merely praising the drink, not him.
Ji Cenzhou set down the glass and asked, “How long are you staying here?”
“Until ten o’clock.”
Ji Cenzhou nodded. “Going back quite early. Are you heading home to do homework?”
“How did you know I am a student?”
Ji Cenzhou thought to himself, Oops, I let that slip. On the surface, however, he maintained a carefree attitude. “At your age, what else would you be if not a student?”
Jiang Mosen smiled, accepting the answer without further questioning.
Still craving the taste, Ji Cenzhou took another sip before setting the glass down. “Well, enjoy your drink. I am going to make my rounds.”
Upon hearing this, Jiang Mosen’s gaze turned sharp and cold. He straightened his long, bent legs, effectively blocking Ji Cenzhou’s path. “Where are you going?”
“To chat with the guests,” Ji Cenzhou said nonchalantly, though he actually found the prospect disgusting.
He had asked the manager today: if he could promote drinks or earn tips, he could take a 20% commission. This way, he would earn more money and might actually be able to afford synthetic Alpha pheromones.
One must do what is necessary to survive in this world!
Jiang Mosen’s gaze swept over Ji Cenzhou’s entire body. Today, Ji Cenzhou was wearing a fiery red cheongsam. The slit reached his upper thigh, and the waist was partially cut away, leaving a section of his slender waist almost entirely exposed.
Jiang Mosen licked his lips and said, “Stay seated.”
Ji Cenzhou frowned in dissatisfaction. “How can I make money if I just sit here?”
“Fine.” Seeing how blunt Ji Cenzhou was, Jiang Mosen’s irritation vanished. “Tell me how much you need.”
Ji Cenzhou tested the waters. “Five hundred.”
“What percentage do you get from drink sales?”
“Twenty percent.”
Jiang Mosen nodded. He pulled a card from his pocket and told the bartender, “Go and open 2,500 worth of drinks for me. Give them out to the guests in the bar.”
The bartender took the card and left.
Ji Cenzhou was stunned. Without thinking, he blurted out, “Are you providing poverty relief?”
Jiang Mosen replied, “I am not providing poverty relief. I am providing ‘you’ relief.”
Ji Cenzhou laughed along. He sat back down next to Jiang Mosen and said, “I do not have much else to give you in return, so I will just chat with you. I know you students have a lot of academic pressure; consider this a way to decompress.”
Jiang Mosen smiled back. “Then, how should I address you?”
Ji Cenzhou thought of the stage name the bar had given him. His ears turned slightly red, but he had to say it. Suppressing his embarrassment, his voice was as quiet as a mosquito’s buzz. “Yueji (Chinese Rose).”
The music in the bar was noisy and chaotic, and because Ji Cenzhou’s voice was so soft, Jiang Mosen did not hear him. He leaned closer and asked, “What did you say?”
“Yueji,” Ji Cenzhou said, closing his eyes and speaking with the determination of someone about to charge into battle.
“Yueji.” Jiang Mosen let the two words roll off his tongue. He licked his teeth, as if he could once again smell the faint scent of Chinese rose pheromones emanating from the dancer. He said enigmatically, “It suits you quite well.”
This compliment caused Ji Cenzhou’s face to turn completely red.
“You, you, you!” He looked at Jiang Mosen in a fit of pique, unable to form a complete sentence for a long moment.
Using pheromones to address someone could be considered sexual harassment, but the bar did not know his actual pheromones; they had only given him the name because of his surname (Ji). Ji Cenzhou could not argue against it, fearing it would arouse the bar’s suspicion. At first, he had been quite open-minded—it was just the same as his pheromones, and since no one knew, they could call him whatever they wanted.
However, as Jiang Mosen lowered his voice, his cool tone took on a sexy, magnetic quality. When he said the name, it carried a hint of ambiguity.
Jiang Mosen asked, “What is wrong?”
Seeing Jiang Mosen’s open and honest attitude, Ji Cenzhou realized he was overthinking. He gritted his teeth and said, “Nothing.”
Jiang Mosen smiled and let his gaze travel over Ji Cenzhou. He picked up his jacket, which was resting nearby, and handed it to him. “Put this on.”
Ji Cenzhou blinked. “I am not cold.”
Jiang Mosen looked deeply at Ji Cenzhou, feeling a bit weary. This Omega truly has zero sense of self-protection.
The lights in the bar were dim, and Ji Cenzhou’s legs were long and pale, looking like white jade under the glow. The cheongsam already only reached the tops of his thighs, and because his sitting posture was very casual, one could faintly see his black safety shorts. In this state, Ji Cenzhou was like a little lamb that had fallen into a pack of wolves. If Jiang Mosen were not there, the line of people coming to flirt would surely stretch out the door.
Even with him there, many greedy eyes had already circled Ji Cenzhou numerous times. Yet, the person in question remained entirely oblivious.
Actually, it was not that Ji Cenzhou was being careless. He was originally an Alpha and was used to the experience of showering with other Alphas in public bathhouses. Now he had transmigrated into the body of an Omega, but he was still a male Omega. In his mind, a male Omega had nothing that needed to be covered up. Everyone had the same parts; what was there to see?
Seeing that Ji Cenzhou was not moving, Jiang Mosen lowered his voice and said, “Put it on.”
There was a hint of a command in his tone, which made Ji Cenzhou feel a bit uncomfortable. However, Jiang Mosen was the distinguished “guest” who had just spent 2,500 for him. No matter how reluctant he was, Ji Cenzhou could only obediently put it on.
Although Ji Cenzhou was not as tall as Jiang Mosen, he was still 178 cm. Jiang Mosen’s jacket just barely covered the tops of his thighs, leaving his long legs exposed. Furthermore, for some reason, Ji Cenzhou managed to make it look like he was wearing a “boyfriend’s shirt.” Instead of blocking people’s gazes, it actually attracted even more attention.
Jiang Mosen was speechless. He felt an immense headache coming on. “You should just drape the jacket over your legs,” he said helplessly.
Ji Cenzhou looked confused. “Why?”
Jiang Mosen had to make up a reason on the spot. “The air conditioning in the bar is quite strong. If you are exposed to the cold for a long time, your knee joints will become uncomfortable. Since you are a dancer, this will have a major impact on you.”
Ji Cenzhou nodded in realization. He obediently and politely covered his legs with the jacket, remarking, “I couldn’t tell, but you are quite a health-conscious boy.”
Jiang Mosen sighed. He thought to himself, I do not know if I am a health-conscious boy, but I know you are a fool.
Once Ji Cenzhou covered his legs, the gazes landing on him indeed decreased, but the gazes landing on Jiang Mosen increased. Those looks were filled with dissatisfaction. Tsk, this Alpha is so possessive!
Jiang Mosen felt much more comfortable. He asked Ji Cenzhou, “Do you come here every Sunday?”
Ji Cenzhou nodded. “If I do not come, who will give me money?”
“Then I will come here every Sunday. You can come straight to me.” Jiang Mosen added, “I will help you complete whatever sales quota you need.”
Ji Cenzhou turned his head and looked at Jiang Mosen with a hint of alarm. Does he like me? He thought about it and suddenly adopted the mindset of someone watching a drama unfold.
Cousin, Lin Tianxing, come quickly! Your husband is cheating on you!
Ji Cenzhou looked at Jiang Mosen and then down at himself. He was wearing a red cheongsam and heavy makeup, looking quite seductive. He suddenly had an epiphany—it turned out Jiang Mosen liked the “seductive homewrecker” type!
As expected, men are all the same. They say one thing, but their bodies are honest. Once a little vixen lures them, their hearts follow.
Ji Cenzhou had no self-awareness that he was that “little vixen”; instead, he felt quite sentimental about the discovery.
Jiang Mosen had no idea what Ji Cenzhou was thinking. His goal was actually very simple: Ji Cenzhou was currently the “medicine” he could find but not seek. He had to protect Ji Cenzhou’s safety, and once they became familiar with each other, the success rate of asking Ji Cenzhou to help treat his illness would be much higher.
Ji Cenzhou looked at Jiang Mosen and nodded meaningfully. “That sounds fine, but brother, let me give you a piece of advice. Do not play around too much in the beginning, or the ‘chasing your wife in a crematorium’ phase later on will be the death of you.”
Jiang Mosen was baffled. “???”
What on earth is he talking about?
