The Ultra-Alpha School Hunk Has Transmigrated into a Cannon Fodder Omega! - Chapter 10
People in the surrounding crowd grew restless. Usually, a dancer would circle the bar once before leaving, but Ji Cenzhou had unexpectedly chosen a person and sat directly in his lap.
Ji Cenzhou looked at the greasy man with a large head and big ears who was reaching out toward him. He felt an immediate wave of nausea and wanted nothing more than to kick the man away. However, for the sake of the money, he suppressed his disgust and turned his gaze toward Jiang Mosen.
He pulled Jiang Mosen closer. In the process, he unintentionally brought the fair nape of his neck toward Jiang Mosen’s lips.
As the floral fragrance intensified, it felt as though fireworks were exploding in Jiang Mosen’s mind. His primal possessiveness surged, and his body reacted before his conscious mind could. He used both hands to firmly grip Ji Cenzhou’s waist and turned his body to shield him between himself and the bar. He then frowned and barked at the greasy man, “Get lost!”
The man was stunned.
Although Jiang Mosen looked young, he carried a cold aura and was dressed like a child from a wealthy family. The man knew he could not afford to offend such a person, but he was still consumed by desire. He had set his sights on this new dancer the moment he took the stage because of his lovely face, flexible body, and the fact that he was an Omega. Although marking an Omega by force was illegal, the man figured he could use certain methods to make the Omega “voluntary.” He had been fantasizing about a wonderful night, only to have a young Alpha cut him off.
The man forced a smile and said, “According to the rules, the dancer is supposed to make a lap around the venue. This is against the rules.”
Jiang Mosen repeated a single word, “Leave!”
His cousin arrived at that moment and intercepted the man. He stood nearby like a guardian, watching the two of them with a look of curiosity and amusement.
Once the danger had passed, Ji Cenzhou breathed a sigh of relief. He hopped out of Jiang Mosen’s arms and sat in the empty seat next to him.
He intentionally changed his tone and said to Jiang Mosen, “Shall we chat for half an hour?”
Jiang Mosen looked at Ji Cenzhou with a deep gaze. Now that Ji Cenzhou was further away, that scent had vanished.
“Do you want a drink? My treat,” Jiang Mosen asked.
“No, I do not drink.”
“Are you an Omega?” Jiang Mosen asked casually.
“Yes,” Ji Cenzhou replied nonchalantly. He had felt that using a pheromone suppressant patch on his neck would ruin his aesthetic, so he had used a spray instead. To prevent it from being washed away by sweat, he had applied it four or five times.
“Did you smell my pheromones?” Ji Cenzhou raised his arm to sniff himself and found no scent at all. He then realized that even if he did release pheromones, Jiang Mosen should not be able to smell them. Was he not only supposed to be able to smell the pheromones of his fated partner, Lin Tianxing?
Seeing Ji Cenzhou’s expression, Jiang Mosen knew the scent had not spread. He asked, “Did you use perfume?”
Ji Cenzhou gave him a strange look and said, “No.”
Jiang Mosen looked at him with an unreadable expression and said, “Perhaps I smelled it incorrectly then.”
Ji Cenzhou looked Jiang Mosen up and down, smiled, and said, “Thank you for today.”
“Thank you for what?”
“For not pushing me away and for helping me out of that situation,” Ji Cenzhou said casually.
“It is not convenient for an Omega to work here. It is too chaotic. If I had not been here today, how would you have solved that problem?” Jiang Mosen asked.
“As long as you are here every day, it will be fine,” Ji Cenzhou joked. “If you are not here, there will be someone else. Even if no one helps me, I can solve my own problems.”
As he spoke, Ji Cenzhou tilted his head slightly. He radiated confidence and a bold energy that was almost blinding. This made Jiang Mosen wonder what kind of environment could produce a child like this. Jiang Mosen rarely felt curious about others, but he found himself interested in this dancer, especially because of that faint scent of Chinese roses.
The half hour passed quickly. Ji Cenzhou stood up, said goodbye to Jiang Mosen, and headed backstage without a trace of lingering.
His cousin only dared to approach after the dancer had left. He glanced at Ji Cenzhou’s retreating back and whispered suggestively into Jiang Mosen’s ear, “Do you like him?”
Jiang Mosen narrowed his eyes with a dangerous look. His cousin knew Jiang Mosen did not intend to answer, so he sat back in his seat and heard Jiang Mosen ask, “What does it feel like to smell an Omega’s pheromones?”
Before his cousin could organize his thoughts, Jiang Mosen added, “Does the blood in your entire body boil like lava, turning hot and searing, making you only want to cherish the other person?”
His cousin instinctively replied, “Yes, exactly! That is a very fitting description!”
He stopped mid-sentence as he realized the implication. He stared at Jiang Mosen with wide eyes and remained speechless for a long time.
Jiang Mosen smiled and cast a meaningful glance in the direction Ji Cenzhou had gone. He said to his cousin, “Let’s go. It is time to go home.”
On Monday, Jiang Mosen took a half-day leave to see a doctor.
After hearing the description, the doctor remarked, “Master Jiang, you are truly blessed. The reason you can smell this Omega’s pheromones is that your compatibility with him is extremely high. Although we have not conducted an exact test, your pheromone compatibility is at least above 95 percent.”
“Is that so?” Jiang Mosen’s mother interrupted. “Can that Omega’s pheromones cure my son’s illness?”
There were dark circles under her eyes. After Jiang Mosen told her he had smelled an Omega’s pheromones the previous night, she had been too excited to sleep. She was incredibly happy.
Jiang Mosen had been diagnosed with a pheromone disorder when he was five years old. His body’s system was completely damaged, and he had even been in the high-risk ward as a child. Fortunately, as he grew older, his condition stabilized. On the surface, he looked no different from any other Alpha, but this remained a heavy burden on his mother’s heart. She feared that one day, complications would put him in danger again.
The doctor reassured her, “It can be treated slowly through physical contact or the exchange of pheromones. If you are lucky, he can fully recover.”
His mother’s eyes lit up. She said to Jiang Mosen on the spot, “Who is that Omega? I will start preparing for the wedding immediately. Oh wait, you are not at the legal age yet. No matter, you can get engaged first for the treatment, and as soon as you reach the age, you can register for marriage!”
Jiang Mosen looked at his mother helplessly and patted her hand to calm her. “You are being too impatient.”
He then turned back to the doctor and asked, “How exactly should the treatment proceed?”
“You can exchange pheromones through contact, hugging, kissing, temporary marking, or permanent marking. However, I suggest taking it step by step to ensure your body can handle it,” the doctor explained.
Jiang Mosen nodded. He suddenly remembered something and asked, “He used a pheromone spray yesterday. I could only smell it a little when I was close to the back of his neck. From a distance, I could not smell it at all.”
The doctor replied, “That is normal. Current products like suppressant sprays or patches cannot prevent 100 percent of pheromones from leaking. Usually, that tiny amount of pheromone cannot be detected, but because your compatibility is so high, it is normal for you to smell it. The reason you could not smell it from a distance is likely because you have not exchanged pheromones yet. Once your body has enough of the other person’s pheromones, you will be able to smell him regardless of what he is wearing.”
Jiang Mosen nodded and said, “Thank you, doctor.”
The doctor smiled. “It is my duty. I wish you a speedy recovery.”
As Jiang Mosen stood up to leave, his mother remained seated to ask more questions. “You said to take it step by step. Would a temporary marking at the beginning be too fast?”
The doctor was at a loss for words. “A temporary marking is a form of pheromone exchange. If it does not last too long, it should be fine.”
His mother nodded and suddenly looked at Jiang Mosen. “Did you hear that? Mark that person for me first. Such a good Omega must not be allowed to get away.”
Jiang Mosen was speechless. He gave the doctor an apologetic look and pulled his mother away.
In the hallway, his mother continued to ask, “Can you tell me who that Omega is now?”
Jiang Mosen paused. He remembered the confident and bold smile of the other person and said, “Mom, please stay out of this. I know what I am doing. Besides, he does not seem like the type of person who would agree to treat me just because of the status of being a daughter-in-law of the Jiang family.”
His mother was surprised. “Does he look down on you? That cannot be. My son is so excellent; how could an Omega not like you?”
Jiang Mosen did not know whether to laugh or cry. He could only say, “Mom, this is my own illness. I am even more concerned than you are. I will definitely work hard to win him over.”
His mother finally nodded and began muttering to herself as she followed him. “Then I should prepare a gift for my future daughter-in-law. I bought a jade pendant at an auction recently. I wonder if he will like it. Your father recently got a piece of calligraphy and painting that is said to be very good. I want to save that for my daughter-in-law too. And…”
“Enough,” Jiang Mosen said helplessly. “You can figure that out later. I need to go back to school.”
His mother watched him get into the car and then called Jiang Mosen’s cousin. “Xiaofeng, tell me, which Omega’s pheromones did Mosen smell yesterday?”
On the other end of the line, his cousin looked like he was about to cry. He truly did not dare to say anything. Jiang Mosen had emphasized repeatedly that he must keep it a secret. He was afraid that if he spoke, Jiang Mosen would tell his father about all his reckless behavior. He had no choice but to side with Jiang Mosen.
“Aunt, what are you saying? The signal is bad here! Hello? I cannot hear anything at all!”
Hearing the dial tone, Jiang Mosen’s mother stamped her foot in frustration. These children were truly troublesome.
