The True Heiress And The Fake Heiress Ended Up Together - Chapter 9
Qin Mianmian’s eyes were innocent and pure.
She looked at her mother, thought for a long while, and only asked one question: “Does big sister like the piano?”
Madam Qin asked, “Do you hope so?”
Qin Mianmian shook her head: “I hope big sister is happy. If she likes it, then I hope she practices the piano. If she doesn’t like it, then I don’t hope she does.”
She felt that Jian Ying’an had been very unhappy since coming to the Qin family.
Children are very sensitive to changes in emotion. She noticed that Jian Ying’an was always staring at a certain spot, her gaze deep.
When she followed her gaze, she saw nothing, and then, turning her head, she would see Jian Ying’an looking at her, a smile hanging on her lips, as if her earlier discovery was merely an illusion.
This made Qin Mianmian feel uneasy.
Qin Mianmian wanted to get closer to Jian Ying’an.
She liked this older sister very much and wanted her to be happier, more cheerful, and to be able to stay in the Qin family to accompany her always.
Thinking this, Qin Mianmian tugged on her mother’s hand: “Big sister won’t leave, will she?”
Madam Qin smiled: “Of course not. She is a member of the Qin family; she is your sister!”
“Mhm!”
Qin Mianmian ran back and continued practicing the piano.
Madam Qin called the piano teacher out and said ruthlessly, “You can resign tomorrow.”
The piano teacher was greatly confused. She hadn’t done anything wrong, had been conscientious, and now she was suddenly losing her job? She urgently asked, “Madam Qin, is there any problem?”
She could change! Qin Mianmian also liked her very much, and she had not been unkind to Qin Mianmian.
To be dismissed so inexplicably.
Madam Qin did not explain: “I will pay you double your salary.”
After speaking, she left the piano room, ignoring the piano teacher’s earnest questioning.
The butler followed behind Madam Qin, listening to her arrangements: “Find a stricter piano teacher for Mianmian tomorrow. She is already six years old and still can’t play the piano well.”
The butler bowed slightly: “Yes, Madam.”
Madam Qin: “Steward Lai, I know you have been with the Qin family for a long time, and you have always been good to the Qin family.”
She walked up the stairs step by step, her tone unhurried.
“The Qin family’s development to this day is inseparable from an excellent successor.”
The butler answered calmly: “Yes.”
The decorations in Jian Ying’an’s room and the clothes in her closet were all replicated by the butler according to everything Qin Mianmian possessed.
Compared to the previous life, this was already a huge “honor.” She hadn’t expected that Madam Qin would even have someone take her to the mall to purchase new items.
Jian Ying’an understood what this meant, and the emotion in her eyes gradually faded. She said indifferently, “Good.”
Every minute and second in the Qin family disgusted her.
If Mianmian weren’t here, she would never return to this utterly corrupt manor. Jian Ying’an gave up the identity of the Qin family’s daughter and had no intention of competing with Mianmian.
Forget about an identity, in this lifetime, she was Mianmian’s sharp weapon.
She would be used by Mianmian.
Jian Ying’an lowered her eyes. Madam Qin’s current plan to groom her had an obvious purpose.
What she had painstakingly sought in her previous life now lightly fell into her hands in this one. Jian Ying’an felt uneasy and went straight to find Qin Mianmian.
If the Qin couple had one redeeming quality, it was their kindness to Mianmian.
Jian Ying’an unconsciously tightened her fingers, not daring to think too deeply.
Mianmian was practicing in the piano room, just finishing up, and saying goodbye to her piano teacher. The piano teacher’s smile was very forced. Her eyes were unfocused, and she nearly bumped into an obstacle as she walked.
Jian Ying’an watched with cold eyes.
Qin Mianmian spotted Jian Ying’an, her large eyes blinking, and she rushed over to hug her: “Are you here to find me?”
Off-the-charts cuteness.
The chill around Jian Ying’an dispersed. She reached out to pinch Qin Mianmian’s little face. It felt very good, like a glutinous rice ball.
Qin Mianmian: “Mommy came to find me just now too.”
Jian Ying’an’s heart tightened. She had nothing now. If things changed, how would she take Mianmian away? “Did she say anything?”
Qin Mianmian didn’t notice Jian Ying’an’s tension.
“Mommy wants you to practice the piano. Big sister, do you like the piano?”
The deep smile on Jian Ying’an’s face faded a lot: “I don’t like it. What about you, Mianmian?”
Qin Mianmian leaned close to her ear and whispered, “I don’t like it either.”
“But if I volunteer to practice, Mommy will be very happy and will reward me. I think Mommy must like me practicing the piano, so I practice it!”
Jian Ying’an held the soft Qin Mianmian and looked into the distance, letting out a long sigh.
She must have been blind in her previous life to think that Mianmian was very happy.
Qin Mianmian was too sensible and too considerate of others. She would practice the piano for Madam Qin’s expectations and would be afraid to approach because of Jian Ying’an’s rejection.
She hid all her feelings in her heart, only daring to speak them out at the very end.
When faced with delicious dim sum, she couldn’t eat too much. Not liking the piano, she still happily arrived at the piano room on time.
Jian Ying’an repeated her old saying: “If you don’t like it, don’t do it.”
Just treat what this couple says as nonsense!
Nonsense can at least make a sound. These two only reek of foulness.
Qin Mianmian didn’t take Jian Ying’an’s words to heart: “Let’s go to the room to play.”
Jian Ying’an: “Come to the mall with me.”
The bustling city at night unfolded a colorful scene.
Pedestrians on the streets, vehicles on the roads, coming and going—everything looked orderly and systematic.
Jian Ying’an stepped out of the car.
Passersby glanced at them. The luxury car was not subtle at all, and Jian Ying’an’s clothes, the same style as in fashion magazines, all drew attention.
However, Jian Ying’an’s complexion was sallow, making her look out of place.
Soon, a real little princess stepped out of the car.
She wore small leather shoes, lace-trimmed socks, and had a fair and pink little face, with bright, clear eyes, looking just like a Barbie doll in a display window, making people wonder if she was a celebrity’s daughter.
She was simply too cute!
So cute that people suspected there might be a film crew nearby.
As for Jian Ying’an, no one cared.
Jian Ying’an wished no one would notice her. She was still wearing a pink dress, which was the kind that she would find embarrassing when looking at photo albums in the future. The fewer people noticed, the better.
She thought, since the Qin family was rich anyway, she would spend enough today!
Change the room color, throw away all the clothes—… no, give them to Mianmian. She needed to buy and decorate according to her preferred style!
This was the most prosperous commercial district in the city. Jian Ying’an didn’t shortchange herself and went straight to a light luxury store.
The salesperson was very familiar with Qin Mianmian. As soon as she walked into the store, the salesperson brought over some snacks.
“Miss Qin, is there anything you’d like to buy?”
“I’m here to accompany my sister.”
Sister?
The salesperson finally looked at Jian Ying’an, finding it hard to believe that this was Qin Mianmian’s sister. The two looked too different.
If beggars and kings switched identities, this would be the feeling, a blatant lack of authenticity visible at a glance. Truly wealthy people wouldn’t let themselves look so… so…
The salesperson realized that although Jian Ying’an’s skin was poor and her hair was too dry, her demeanor was excellent.
Despite being only six years old, she possessed the composure of someone who had seen grand occasions. It wasn’t faked; she was as natural as if she had returned home.
Her buying power was definitely not low! The salesperson smiled: “Miss, what would you like to purchase?”
Clothes.
Jian Ying’an immediately changed out of the clothes she was wearing. She put on a simple style dress and then, familiar with the racks, selected a few more styles. She didn’t even try them on, simply asking the salesperson to wrap them up.
Even though they were children’s clothes, a few sets cost about fifty thousand.
Jian Ying’an was currently penniless and still relying on Aunt Zhang to smoothly earn money.
But when spending the Qin family’s money, she was utterly unrestrained.
After buying clothes, she proceeded according to the plan: replacing all the room furnishings. A shopping spree later, the total came close to seven figures.
She still felt it wasn’t enough and asked Mianmian, “Is there anything you want?”
Qin Mianmian was energized after watching Jian Ying’an buy to her heart’s content and also felt the urge to buy.
However, she really didn’t know what to buy…
The butler would arrange everything Qin Mianmian needed in advance. She didn’t seem to have any specific favorite items. After walking around the mall for an entire loop, she finally took a leap of faith: “I want to drink milk tea.”
Milk tea at the mall only cost about twenty-something per cup, and Qin Mianmian had never had it before.
Hearing her request, Jian Ying’an immediately took her to order milk tea.
“One milk tea, and one… coffee?” The server suspected she had misheard. “Little one, is the coffee for you?”
Jian Ying’an belatedly realized that a six-year-old child didn’t need coffee to stay alert.
Qin Mianmian excitedly said, “Two milk teas!”
“Alright, two milk teas. Please wait a moment.”
While the milk tea was being prepared, Qin Mianmian kept looking toward the counter, happily unable to take her eyes off it, eagerly anticipating the milk tea.
She had never drunk milk tea before.
Qin Mianmian’s eyes fluttered, and she thought of something: “You won’t tell Mommy, will you?”
Jian Ying’an: “Why would I? Do you want a small cake too?”
Qin Mianmian was tempted.
She looked down at her stomach: “Will I get too fat?”
Jian Ying’an thought about Qin Mianmian’s weight. She didn’t look heavy, but when carrying her, she was indeed a bit heavy…
No, that’s not right! It was because her body hadn’t fully recovered and she didn’t have enough strength, not that Mianmian was heavy! Jian Ying’an’s expression was very serious: “You’re only six years old, still a child. What’s wrong with eating a little cake?”
Qin Mianmian was coaxed into happiness and ordered a small cake from the server.
As for Jian Ying’an, she sipped her milk tea in small mouthfuls.
Watching Qin Mianmian savor the flavor happily, she felt today was quite good.
