The True Heiress And The Fake Heiress Ended Up Together - Chapter 39
“Hey, did you hear? The class monitor of Class One is Jian Ying’an.”
Two classmates passed by the classroom, leaving behind a gossiping sound.
The voice carried a touch of surprise and admiration for the person, Jian Ying’an.
Su Nan was originally napping with her head resting on the desk. Hearing that sentence, the hand she had resting on the desktop clenched into a fist, and a surge of irritable, muffled anger ignited in her heart.
Especially when those two people added:
“Is that Jian Ying’an, the one who is really nice to Qin Mianmian?”
That stupid person.
Su Nan gritted her teeth. Three million! How could she possibly have three million? The Su family only intended to groom her brother as the successor; no matter how much pocket money she received, she could only save up a little over one hundred thousand!
She was just a middle school student!
Su Nan planned not to admit to the debt. Simply helping her out and teaching a few hooligans a lesson, and demanding three million? How could it be that easy?
That money would be enough for her to hire hundreds, even thousands, of bodyguards!
She had no sleepiness now and climbed straight up from her desk.
Her deskmate, thinking she had woken Su Nan up with her noise, lowered her voice and dared not speak.
In their eyes, Su Nan was a very strange person.
Su Nan didn’t like to talk, found fault with everyone, and no one had managed to strike up a conversation with her a month into the school year. Yet, she was also very clever. She could be sleeping in class, but when the teacher called on her to answer a question, she always could.
Su Nan glanced at her deskmate, feeling even more annoyed.
She left the classroom and walked aimlessly.
Two girls came toward her. One of them had shoulder-length short hair, looking obedient and cute, like a kitten with its claws clipped, harmless to its owner.
This girl was playfully roughhousing with the other girl. When the other girl saw Su Nan, her steps paused.
This school was not small, nor was it particularly large.
Running into someone on a campus was not an uncommon coincidence.
Su Nan felt she was very unlucky.
A few days after the school started, when she couldn’t repay the three million, she, in a moment of impulse, left the phrase, “working for you to pay off the debt.”
Her brain must have been broken.
Jian Ying’an didn’t have anything she needed help with, only leaving the phrase, “We’ll talk about it later.”
Running into her now, Su Nan really wanted to turn around and leave.
But she just couldn’t stand Qin Mianmian—a fake. Why was Jian Ying’an so good to her? Su Nan couldn’t figure this question out, and watching them, her temper grew more and more volatile.
Su Nan lowered her head and reluctantly greeted them: “Hello.”
Qin Mianmian: “Sister, don’t mind her.”
Qin Mianmian reacted strongly, hissing at Su Nan, warning her to leave quickly.
Jian Ying’an smoothed things over: “Hello.”
Su Nan controlled herself not to look at Qin Mianmian.
What was there to see? Just a simple-minded sweetheart. Jian Ying’an must have lost her mind to fall for her trick.
Su Nan was a little disappointed. She couldn’t help but glance at Jian Ying’an.
Why would she like Qin Mianmian?
She herself was constantly thinking of how to ruin her own brother and become the Su family’s successor. She always kept a clear head, striving not to lose to her brother in any aspect.
Jian Ying’an should be the same kind of person.
Su Nan felt that Jian Ying’an was even more formidable than herself.
Much stronger than her brother.
Jian Ying’an had better judgment than her own parents, and better judgment than the Qin couple; she wouldn’t be wrong about Jian Ying’an.
She just couldn’t understand how Jian Ying’an was stuck on Qin Mianmian.
What use was Qin Mianmian?
Su Nan looked at Qin Mianmian again. The girl noticed her staring at Jian Ying’an and was so angry her fur was about to explode.
Jian Ying’an gently coaxed Qin Mianmian, asking her to return to the classroom first.
Then Jian Ying’an walked up to Su Nan: “I have something I want to talk to you about.”
Su Nan wasn’t interested.
Jian Ying’an: “Making money, it’s important.”
Su Nan looked up at her.
Jian Ying’an: “I’m not counting on you to pay back the three million.”
She sighed, apparently puzzled that Su Nan couldn’t even produce three million, probably the same way Su Nan couldn’t understand why Jian Ying’an would like Qin Mianmian.
Both felt the other was unbelievable.
Jian Ying’an: “There are too many people here.”
They moved to a quiet place.
When Jian Ying’an said making money, she really meant making money. She told Su Nan about Aunt Zhang’s situation and briefly introduced the current scale of the housekeeping company.
Su Nan: “It sounds profitable, but there’s an upper limit, you won’t make a lot.”
Not to mention the Qin family’s scope; even she, born into the Su family, looked down on it. For ordinary people, a company making tens of millions a year was very valuable, but for them, it really wasn’t worth mentioning.
Jian Ying’an sneered: “Do you think I’m offering to share the cake with you?”
Su Nan: “…”
Jian Ying’an was just explaining what she was doing and how much money she had, and then intended to pull Su Nan into a big venture.
She could do it herself, but she wanted to stay with Qin Mianmian.
Aunt Zhang was enough to manage the housekeeping company. For the next thing that needed to be done, Jian Ying’an was cautious about who she entrusted it to.
Su Nan was a good choice.
She was already planning things when she first entered middle school; her ideas and audacity were sufficient.
She was just slightly inferior to the future Su Nan.
Jian Ying’an calculated the time: “I’m going back. Think about it yourself, and contact me when you’re ready.”
Jian Ying’an left.
Su Nan watched Jian Ying’an’s retreating figure, feeling that what she said about making money sounded very reliable.
She vaguely felt that even without the Qin family, Jian Ying’an could start from scratch and earn the equivalent of a Qin family on her own. How terrifying was that ability?
The Qin family had developed over several centuries, while Jian Ying’an could achieve it in about thirty years.
It seemed she didn’t need the identity of the Qin family’s daughter.
So, was her kindness to Qin Mianmian really just because of simple affection?
She couldn’t understand.
“Still angry?”
“Hmph!”
“Don’t be mad anymore, okay?”
Qin Mianmian was sulking and refused to speak to Jian Ying’an.
Sister actually told her to go back to the classroom first, and then ran off to talk to that Su Nan.
She was so jealous.
It was only three million. She had clearly said she had three million too, and she could give it to her sister! Or did her sister think Su Nan was more to her liking? Did she think she was useless now?
Qin Mianmian was like a sugar glider now.
Because her sister didn’t catch her, she was dying of anger.
A fragile little heart.
Qin Mianmian was so angry her head hurt. The next class was Chinese, and she really couldn’t stand it, so she raised her hand to ask the teacher for leave.
The teacher held a piece of chalk and had long heard about this widely talked-about spoiled brat in the office. She almost crushed the chalk, her hands covered in chalk dust: “Do you have a cold?”
Are you running a fever?
Is there something wrong with your head?
Qin Mianmian hummed twice: “I don’t.”
But she insisted on asking for leave to go back to the dorm. She was going to see Jian Ying’an.
If Jian Ying’an didn’t understand Qin Mianmian’s thoughts, she would have wasted all these years raising her.
It was nothing more than: causing a fuss wasn’t enough as deskmates, so she wanted to go back to the dorm to see if her dorm-mate would chase after her.
Arrogant from being spoiled.
A little drama queen.
The little drama queen thought: As long as Sister coaxes me, as long as Sister says, “I was wrong.”
She won’t keep sulking.
She held up her hand, waiting and waiting. The teacher didn’t speak, Jian Ying’an didn’t speak. Qin Mianmian really felt like she was going to die of anger, no exaggeration!
The teacher clutched her chest, feeling like she was going to die of anger too: “You can go back to the dorm first.”
Qin Mianmian looked at Jian Ying’an again, observing her every move.
Jian Ying’an remained perfectly calm.
Teacher: “Classmate Jian, come to my office after class.”
Jian Ying’an slightly lifted her eyes: “Okay.”
Qin Mianmian: “Sister didn’t do anything wrong!”
Teacher: “… You go back to the dorm first.”
Qin Mianmian wanted to take it back; she didn’t want to go back to the dorm anymore. She didn’t want to leave her sister alone to go to the office.
What if the teacher scolded her!
Sister was great and shouldn’t be scolded!
Jian Ying’an’s lips curled up a little, not daring to let the teacher notice. She glanced sideways, her eyes full of a faint smile toward Qin Mianmian.
Oops, plan failed.
So much fun.
Jian Ying’an: “You go back to the dorm to rest first.”
Qin Mianmian stared blankly at the teacher, then at Jian Ying’an.
Jian Ying’an: “Be good, don’t affect the other students’ class.”
The trouble you make yourself, you have to endure yourself.
Qin Mianmian nervously returned to the dorm. It was her being unreasonable. Why did the teacher call her sister to the office? She thought vaguely, Maybe it’s a good thing, no need to worry.
Sister was so smart, so capable. Not only did she like her sister, but the teacher would definitely like her, too.
In the office, the Chinese teacher and the homeroom teacher were present.
The homeroom teacher understood the reason.
Jian Ying’an stood opposite the two teachers, very calm, showing no signs of panic.
The two teachers were helpless with her.
Jian Ying’an was not an ordinary student. She had been out of school and even had the ability to manage a company. She didn’t flinch when facing the Qin family. After being reborn, she was still the Jian Ying’an who wouldn’t flinch, the one who could anger Mr. Qin to death.
Facing two ordinary teachers, she could maintain her respect.
To make her panic was impossible.
The homeroom teacher tapped the desk: “Classmate Jian, I know you and Mianmian have a good relationship.”
Jian Ying’an thought: Listen, the teacher also calls her Mianmian. What does this indicate?
It indicates that no one can be harsh on this little ray of sunshine.
Jian Ying’an’s voice was clear and crisp: “Teacher, I need to take care of Mianmian.”
The homeroom teacher had a headache: “I know, but you also need to be mindful of the impact.”
“She can still be excused by her young age now, but what about later?”
“Spoiling her like this, it’s not good for her at all. When she grows up, can she continue to cling to you?”
The implication was, it’s time for the child to be weaned.
The Chinese teacher coughed lightly upon hearing this, discreetly taking a sip of water.
The homeroom teacher also realized her mistake.
Why did it feel like she should be saying these words to a doting parent, and not to Jian Ying’an?
They were the same age…
In any case, Jian Ying’an was already spoiling Qin Mianmian too much, and she needed to correct it in time!
Jian Ying’an: “… I wish I could.”
Homeroom teacher: “Wish what?”
Wish that Qin Mianmian could continue to cling to her when she grew up.
Jian Ying’an’s eyelashes trembled slightly. She didn’t mind Qin Mianmian being a kitten her whole life; she could always spoil Qin Mianmian.
Jian Ying’an responded: “I understand.”
The homeroom teacher felt uncertain.
She felt she was being too harsh on the two students; they just had a good relationship and were accommodating each other. If Jian Ying’an really hardened her heart and stopped taking care of Qin Mianmian, how upset would Qin Mianmian be?
The first one who couldn’t bear it was actually herself.
The homeroom teacher frowned: “Just understand.”
Students nowadays were truly getting stranger and stranger.
Jian Ying’an came out of the office and was about to walk toward the classroom when her peripheral vision caught a glimpse of a stealthy figure.
It was Qin Mianmian.
Not long after she returned to the dorm, she couldn’t rest easy and ran over, wanting to know if Jian Ying’an had been scolded.
She realized Jian Ying’an had spotted her.
Qin Mianmian darted out.
She smiled guiltily: “Sister~”
Jian Ying’an felt all warm and soft from her calling.
Qin Mianmian approached, coquettishly and pleadingly, throwing herself into Jian Ying’an’s arms. She looked up at her, her dark eyes clearer and more crystalline than jewels: “Is Sister okay~ I know Sister is excellent, the teacher definitely couldn’t bear to scold you.”
Jian Ying’an recalled the homeroom teacher’s words.
That’s not it, the person the teacher couldn’t bear to scold was you.
Asking her to come over was a discussion everyone knew wouldn’t change anything.
