The Strongest Alpha is Overwhelmingly Omega After Rebirth - Chapter 15
The wind from the window blew against Lin Yan with a loud whistle. He shivered as his head grew increasingly dizzy, likely due to excessive exercise during the day. After class, he spoke with Ning Youji, and the two returned to the dormitory together. During this period, Ning Youji had been consistently helping Lin Yan with evening tutoring.
As soon as Lin Yan entered the room, he placed his test papers on the desk and skillfully opened a drawer to take out some snacks. Seeing how practiced he was with the routine, Ning Youji could not help but chuckle.
“I am going to take a shower,” Ning Youji said.
Lin Yan gave a brief acknowledgment and slumped into his seat to zone out. For some reason, as soon as Ning Youji left, his dizziness intensified. To distract himself, he sat up straight and pulled out a test paper. He was working hard with a lollipop in his mouth when a sudden knock sounded at the door.
Lin Yan raised an eyebrow. Feeling inexplicably irritable, he opened the door with a motion that could only be described as rough. “Who is it?”
Li Xingming flinched at the tone. Seeing Lin Yan, his eyes widened in shock. “Brother Lin? Why are you here?”
“Are you looking for Ning Youji?” Lin Yan rubbed his aching temples and turned back to sit at the desk. “He is showering. Come in and wait for him.”
Showering?
Li Xingming froze on the spot. An Alpha was showering while an Omega was in the Alpha’s dormitory. Moreover, this was Ning Youji’s room, an Alpha’s private domain. Having known Ning Youji for so long, this was the first time he realized Ning Youji could tolerate an Omega wandering around his personal space.
“It is nothing important,” Li Xingming said, yet he stepped inside anyway. Just as he entered, there was movement from the bathroom. Both of them looked over at the sound.
A youth stepped out with a bare chest and wet hair. Water droplets slid down his strands, traveling over his lean collarbones and abdominal muscles before disappearing into the white bath towel wrapped around his waist. Seeing this physique, Lin Yan could not help but look at himself. Compared to Ning Youji, his body seemed a bit on the thin side.
Ning Youji walked straight toward the wardrobe. “I called you just now. Why did you not answer?”
Lin Yan was busy comparing whose body looked better. Hearing the question, he paused and realized Ning Youji was talking to him. “I went to open the door, so I did not hear you.”
Ning Youji finished dressing and glanced at Li Xingming. “Something the matter?”
That light glance made Li Xingming’s spine stiffen, as if he had intruded upon a lion’s territory and received a warning. He shook his head hurriedly. “No, no. I just noticed you were not in the classroom for the third period of self-study and thought something happened.”
Ning Youji gave a low acknowledgment and walked over to sit right next to Lin Yan. They were so close that their shoulders were almost touching. Li Xingming was nearly stunned. His facial expression was becoming difficult to control. In a final moment of lingering rationality, he blurted out, “I will not disturb your studies. I am going back to do homework too.” He then fled the dormitory in a panic.
If Madam Ning found out about this, it would be a disaster! He was someone who knew the secrets of the Ning family. An Omega without a certain level of strength or background would likely not pass Madam Ning’s scrutiny. Thinking of this, the figure of another person appeared in his mind. If that person knew how Ning Youji treated an Omega, he dared not imagine the consequences. If those two ever met, it would definitely be an all-out war.
Watching the door slam shut, Lin Yan raised an eyebrow and turned to ask Ning Youji, “Do I look that terrifying? Why did he run so fast?”
“Perhaps I am the terrifying one,” Ning Youji replied.
His voice was so low that Lin Yan did not hear him clearly and gave a confused hum. Ning Youji smiled but said nothing more, lowering his head to work on problems. The dormitory lights faintly illuminated half of his profile. His eyes were downcast, and his hair rested softly against his brow. His cold and exquisite features suddenly seemed a bit more provocative, looking breathtakingly handsome.
Lin Yan stared for a few seconds. He caught the faint scent of body wash from the other boy and looked down to sniff himself, feeling a bit dissatisfied. “Do you have any extra pajamas?” Lin Yan stood up and walked toward the wardrobe. “I will borrow a set to wear.”
Seeing that Lin Yan was making himself completely at home, Ning Youji pulled at the corner of his mouth silently. “Wear the blue set. It is a bit smaller.”
“Okay.” Lin Yan took the pajamas and went into the bathroom.
Soon, the sound of running water came from inside. Ten minutes later, an enticing floral fragrance swept out from the bathroom, followed immediately by a loud thud. The pen in Ning Youji’s hand paused, and he frowned.
Normally, Ning Youji rarely smelled Lin Yan’s pheromones, perhaps because they were usually weak. Now, the sudden scent seemed even richer than during the last heat cycle. He walked to the bathroom door and knocked. “Lin Yan?”
There was no response for a long time until Ning Youji gripped the handle and pressed down.
“Do not come in,” Lin Yan’s voice was raspy and weak. “I am fine.”
Despite his words, Lin Yan felt as if his body was being roasted by a blazing fire. Heat surged through his entire being, and the gland on the back of his neck was burning to the touch. The scent of white magnolia poured out from within. The wisps of floral fragrance drifting through the crack of the door made Ning Youji’s throat itch.
“Open the door,” Ning Youji said in a low, heavy voice.
After a moment, a click sounded. The lock was open.
Ning Youji pushed the door open. The bathroom was filled with mist, which coiled around him along with the Omega’s pheromones. It felt like a beast roaring for an Alpha’s pheromones to fill a long-standing hunger. He looked at the person leaning against the wall. Lin Yan had likely finished his shower; his black hair hung down to hide the corners of his eyes, his light-colored gaze was watery, and his lips were pink and moist.
It was the first time Ning Youji had seen Lin Yan look so fragile. Lin Yan tried to stand up, but his legs were so weak that he nearly collapsed. Ning Youji was quick to move, grabbing his wrist and pulling him out of the bathroom.
The chilly scent of sandalwood enveloped Lin Yan completely. His eyelids flickered, and sensing the Alpha’s proximity, he could not help but lean in. His body temperature was higher than Ning Youji’s. He rested his chin on the other’s shoulder.
Feeling the heat of Lin Yan’s lips, Ning Youji’s arms tightened. He pressed the boy directly onto the bed. Looking at the nearly out-of-control Omega, he frowned and warned in a low voice, “Do not move. If you get any closer, you will regret it.”
Lin Yan’s last shred of logic tried to control him. His mouth told Ning Youji to stay away, yet his body could not help but cling to him. The pheromones on the other person were like an antidote with an irresistible attraction. Every breath he took was filled with that sandalwood scent. Lin Yan hooked his arms around Ning Youji’s neck and pulled hard, his brain completely fried by the Alpha’s pheromones.
Ning Youji called his name coldly. “Lin Yan.” He tried to wake his rationality. The situation had already exceeded his expectations; if he did not stop it now, it would be difficult to handle the aftermath.
Lin Yan raised his moist eyes, his gaze unfocused. “Ning Youji.”
Ning Youji was momentarily stunned by the way his name was called. To think he could still say his name in this state. He closed his eyes, silently suppressing the deeper thoughts within his Alpha soul. An Omega in heat is a lethal temptation. Faced with such an Omega, an Alpha who can exercise restraint is either someone who cherishes the other too much or someone who has no interest at all.
“Listen to me.” Ning Youji pinned his wrists with one hand and used his legs to keep Lin Yan from thrashing, speaking very seriously. “I do not have Omega suppressants here. I will give you a temporary mark, okay?”
Lin Yan, who had lost all reason, seemed to understand. He nodded and then shook his head.
“Be good. It will not hurt.” Ning Youji freed one hand and reached for the back of Lin Yan’s neck. Lin Yan shivered and then began to move restlessly again. The pheromones from the Alpha’s body stimulated Lin Yan’s brain, and he soon went limp.
Ning Youji suppressed his instinctive aggression, staring down at that small patch of skin while releasing pheromones to soothe the Omega beneath him. His voice was extremely low and gentle, almost coaxing. “Be good.”
His finger pressed against the Omega’s gland. Lin Yan’s pupils contracted sharply. The cold touch brought a brief moment of clarity to his brain. He said in a raspy voice, “Ning Youji, you dare!”
Ning Youji licked the roof of his mouth and finally sighed helplessly, coaxing him gently. “It is just a simple temporary mark. I will not do anything else to you.” His voice dropped even lower at the final sentence.
Lin Yan’s eyes grew red. At this point, it seemed he had no other choice left. However, it felt like a slap in the face. When he first differentiated, he had been the one to insist that he did not need help, yet here he was being helped. What was going on?
The heat surging through his body made it impossible to think for long. Lin Yan grit his teeth and shouted out with sudden determination, “Ning Youji, bite me!”
On the single bed where light and shadow crossed, the youth’s deep facial features appeared exceptionally handsome. The dim yellow light of the dormitory reflected in those dark eyes, which held something heart-stopping within them. Ning Youji did not hesitate. Almost as soon as the words were spoken, his pheromones surged.
Lin Yan endured the powerful Alpha pheromones. He could feel how sharp the Alpha’s teeth were, yet the person behind him did not bite down immediately. Lin Yan could not bear it any longer. “Just do it!”
Lin Yan’s cheeks were flushed and his eyes were watery, making him look somewhat pitiful. At his urging, Ning Youji applied a bit of pressure with his teeth.
The scent of white magnolia instantly filled the entire space. It was the first time the Omega had experienced the sensation of being marked, and it was terrifying, making him instinctively want to flee. As soon as he moved, the person behind him seemed to sense his intent to escape and pulled him even closer.
Then came the youth’s warning in a strained voice, “Do not move.”
