- Chapter 60 - Which Style Do You Like Seeing Me In?
“Thrown away means thrown away. I already told you the reason.”
Chi Wan mumbled vaguely, hoping An Ran wouldn’t press further. But of course, An Ran didn’t let it go. She tilted Chi Wan’s face up so their eyes met, gazing at her intently.
“I can’t shake the feeling you’re hiding something from me.”
She pouted unhappily, then a thought struck her like lightning. That fabric she’d seen in the bathroom earlier—the print looked suspiciously like… her underwear.
Could it be…? An Ran’s eyes narrowed with doubt. She leaned in suddenly. “Don’t tell me you…”
“Hm?” Chi Wan stiffened under her closeness, throat bobbing nervously as she let out an ambiguous hum.
“Don’t tell me you secretly…” An Ran rested her chin on Chi Wan’s shoulder, her gaze slanting upward, full of teasing charm. “Secretly hid it away?”
Chi Wan couldn’t see her expression, but those words alone made cold sweat break out across her back.
She let out an awkward little laugh, the sound thin and incredulous. “How could that be possible? You really let your imagination run wild. I swear housekeeping took it. You have to believe me.”
“But just look at you…” An Ran leaned back slightly, straightening her posture, peering down at her from above. “You look so guilty.”
Chi Wan felt she couldn’t let this drag on any longer. Forget the fact that the woman on top of her wasn’t wearing anything underneath— even if she were fully dressed, all this rubbing and pressing against each other was bound to spark a fire.
“Um… how about you get up first, and then we’ll talk, okay?”
She gestured for An Ran to move, but instead An Ran swayed her hips, feigning confusion. “Why? I think sitting here is quite comfortable.”
Of course it was comfortable—she was using Chi Wan as her personal chair! Chi Wan silently grumbled but could only force a strained smile. “It may be comfy for you, but I’m kind of… suffocating here, you know what I mean?”
An Ran blinked, startled for a moment. Chi Wan seized the chance, slipping her hands to An Ran’s waist and lifting her aside before quickly releasing her. Step by step, she retreated toward the door. “I told you, don’t overthink it.
Housekeeping really did take it. Anyway, I’ll just run out and buy you new underwear, so wait here a bit.”
Without another word, she bolted like oil on fire, slipping out the door.
The door clicked shut behind her, leaving An Ran’s stunned face on the other side.
“Whew… that was way too close…”
Chi Wan exhaled deeply, calming her pounding heart as she strolled toward the elevators.
By chance, just as she arrived, the elevator doors slid open—and out came the same guest she had encountered earlier. He had already teased her once before, and now seeing her again, his eyes swept over her before he let out a sharp whistle.
“So, that little beauty from earlier—did you satisfy her yet?”
Chi Wan didn’t want to engage. She just hoped he’d step aside so she could enter. Instead, the man pressed an arm across the elevator door, blocking the entrance completely.
“What, no answer? Don’t tell me she kicked you out of bed?”
“This doesn’t concern you.” Chi Wan raised her head, fixing him with a steady gaze.
He chuckled, unfazed. “Just curious. If you don’t want to talk, fine. I was even going to share a few tips with you.”
He retracted his arm, finally letting her through, though he added with a smirk, “But since we’re both Alphas, let me give you one piece of advice—when an Omega wants something, it’s best to give it to them. Otherwise, they’ll leave before you know it.”
Chi Wan said nothing, stepping into the elevator and pressing for the first floor.
As the doors closed, the man stood outside with arms crossed, watching her as though regretting something.
Out on the street, the night wind made Chi Wan shiver—she regretted not grabbing a jacket. Still, having already come down, there was no point turning back. She walked straight into a nearby convenience store, heading for the lingerie section.
Rows upon rows of bras and panties in every possible style nearly made her dizzy. Decision paralysis hit her hard.
In the end, she started a video call with An Ran.
The moment the call connected, An Ran’s face appeared, clearly displeased. “Chi Wan, when are you coming back? Just now, some man knocked on the door saying you sent him to bring me something…”
“What? No, I didn’t send anyone!” Chi Wan’s blood ran cold. It had to be that man—the one from the elevator—he must’ve gone to An Ran’s room.
She turned to rush back immediately. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. I’m not stupid—you think I’d open the door just because he said a few words?”
An Ran pouted, then noticed the background behind Chi Wan. “Wait… are you in a supermarket?”
“Yeah.” Hearing that An Ran hadn’t opened the door, Chi Wan finally breathed easier, slowing her steps. “I came to buy you underwear. That’s why I called—the choices are overwhelming.”
Her little complaint sounded so much like coquettish whining that An Ran couldn’t help but enjoy it. “Mm, so you want me to choose myself, right?”
“Exactly.” Chi Wan nodded, turning her camera back toward the racks of lingerie. “Take a look—which one do you like?”
“I want the exact same print as the set I wore tonight.”
An Ran propped her chin on her hand, her request deliberately difficult.
“That might be tricky.” Chi Wan forced a laugh. Why hadn’t she let go of that matter yet?
“Then which one do you like?” An Ran tapped her finger against her lips, her tone growing languid and teasing. “Or rather, which one do you want to see me in?”
“Huh?” Chi Wan froze. Why did this suddenly feel like a question with an R-rating?
She stammered, cheeks warming. “Well… when it comes to lingerie, comfort should always come first, right?”
“But I want to know your preference.” An Ran didn’t let her off easy. From the other side of the screen, she gazed at Chi Wan leisurely, with all the time in the world.
“I… I…”
Chi Wan opened her mouth, face flushing deeper. If An Ran kept pushing like this, she was going to combust on the spot.
“Mm?” An Ran pressed again, determined to make her answer.
With no way out, Chi Wan shut her eyes and grabbed a set at random, making sure at least the size matched. She didn’t even pay attention to the details—just thought the color looked clean and simple—before heading to the cashier.
The young woman at the register looked a little surprised, as if she wanted to say something but ultimately stayed quiet.
Chi Wan was too distracted to notice, her mind elsewhere. The moment she paid, it felt like a weight had lifted.
Back at the hotel, she braced herself. If she ran into that man again, she wouldn’t let him off so easily. She walked with clenched fists and tense shoulders, but—thankfully—saw no sign of him.
Knock, knock—
She tapped lightly on the door. “An Ran? Open up.”
At the same time, she sent a message.
A moment later, the door cracked open, and An Ran’s voice drifted out, low and accusing: “So… where exactly did you hide my old underwear?”
“I told you—I didn’t hide it! Why won’t you believe me?”
Chi Wan’s scalp tingled at the topic. She quickly thrust the shopping bag toward her. “Here, brand new. Go ahead and change.”
An Ran tore open the package, and the instant she saw what was inside, she froze.
“Chi… Wan!”
Her voice trembled, as though struck by something unbearable.
“I can’t believe it… You actually… Chi Wan, I never expected you to be this kind of person! I’m shocked!”
