- The Seductive Beauty Sinks Into the Shura Field [Quick Transmigration]
- Chapter 3 - Stepmother
After soaking in cold water for a full minute, Chi Wenqiu felt both parched and freezing. His body trembled violently like falling petals. He tried his best to endure the sensation, but every time he moved to bite his lower lip, Qu Sinian would suddenly kiss him.
The November air was thick and slightly chilled, yet Chi Wenqiu felt as though he had fallen into a doorless steamer. His entire body was so scorching hot that he felt he might melt or decompose. He even felt that the man’s temperature was lower than his own, making the physical contact feel somewhat comfortable.
“You are like an animal in heat, Chi Wenqiu. Look at yourself in the mirror. Where is your usual calm and self-restraint?” Qu Sinian’s voice had a unique texture with a grainy quality that caught the ear, making Chi Wenqiu’s ear canal feel tingly and numb.
The youth could not help but shrink his body, while one hand tightly clutched the collar that barely covered his chest. The sound of his panting was starkly clear in the bathroom.
Chi Wenqiu gradually regained his composure and glanced at the man who was still staring at him. The other party was so composed that he seemed more like a bystander than someone committing harassment. Chi Wenqiu grabbed the man’s collar and pulled it down, followed by a heavy bite. It was as if he were venting his fury over the injustices he had suffered, chewing on those two thin lips like they were pieces of taffy.
His teeth were as sharp as a canine’s, and the bite was both painful and itchy. It was only when he tasted the thick tang of blood that Qu Sinian let out a sharp hiss. He chuckled and supported Chi Wenqiu, who looked ready to collapse to the floor.
“I did not expect you to be so resilient. Even like this, you did not think of doing anything?”
Chi Wenqiu realized something was wrong and asked, “What did you do to me?”
“I borrowed some incense from a friend for flirtation.”
Chi Wenqiu knitted his beautiful brows, his eyes full of confusion. Qu Sinian lightly caressed his delicate cheek with a finger, his thumb then brushing past the blood on Chi Wenqiu’s lips.
“If I did not do this, how could I see this side of your charm?”
Chi Wenqiu spoke to the system in his mind, “Did he really use it?”
“No. If he had, I would have reminded you. Where would such an immoral thing even come from? Not to mention morality, the law would not allow it, and even if the law allowed it, I would not allow it either.”
“Fine, stop right there.”
Chi Wenqiu did not allow himself to daze for too long. Before Qu Sinian could notice, Chi Wenqiu deceptively wrapped his arms around the man’s neck, whispering like a lover in his ear, “No matter what the Master does to me, it is only right. I am willing to reveal all my charms to you.”
Hearing these words, even the cold-natured Qu Sinian could not help but darken his gaze. He stared intently at Chi Wenqiu, who was constantly bewitching him. It was undeniable that Chi Wenqiu possessed an exceptionally beautiful face, and his inherent charm was so magnetic that even Qu Sinian was willing to sink into it.
However, as time passed, Qu Sinian noticed something slightly off. Chi Wenqiu, who seemed like someone sent by a rival to bewitch hearts, would occasionally resist touch. It was not a game of playing hard to get; Qu Sinian could clearly sense a genuine repulsion.
Qu Sinian had spent decades struggling in the world and had met all kinds of people, from the cunning to the naive. Only Chi Wenqiu was a collection of contradictions. He was dangerous and mysterious, yet he made Qu Sinian willing to fall into the trap and become the prey. Qu Sinian also wanted to know what Chi Wenqiu intended to do. To endure humiliation and stay for three years required a level of patience that not everyone possessed.
He was not here for money or lust. Could it be that he simply wanted a job?
Qu Sinian was indeed generous. Saving Chi Wenqiu from his troubles years ago had been a simple matter of convenience. He did not mind supporting a thousand more like him. But after meeting Chi Wenqiu, he had let him handle everything. Chi Wenqiu had already replaced his most trusted assistants and had become an existence akin to a capable inner helper.
Feeling a spark of desire, the man nibbled on Chi Wenqiu’s blood-red earlobe. His hand moved to pull a zipper, but Chi Wenqiu pressed down on his wrist and gasped urgently, “No, stop. I am very tired today. I want to take a day off!”
For the first time in three years, Qu Sinian heard him ask for leave. Previously, even if they had been active until the next morning, he would still wake up early for work. Qu Sinian found it extremely interesting.
“You may, but there is a price.”
He pressed down on the youth’s shoulders, forcing Chi Wenqiu to his knees. His high-and-mighty gaze was like someone inspecting an accessory, seemingly cold but unable to hide a surging possessiveness.
“Lick.”
Chi Wenqiu, who was now much more sober, lowered his eyelashes, which trembled like butterfly wings. He pursed his bright red lips, and his gaze became resolute.
The next day at 8:30 AM, Chi Wenqiu woke up unusually late. The sky was bright, and since the curtains were not drawn, the sun had turned his skin a faint red. The old head butler had already arranged breakfast for him. He did not scold him for being late, but instead said with a kind smile, “Why do you look so haggard? There are even wounds on your mouth. Did you bite yourself while eating? The Master is the same; how could you both be so careless?”
Chi Wenqiu, whose corner of the mouth looked like it had been scratched by a cat, pretended not to hear the underlying meaning. “I will just apply some medicine. It is nothing to worry about.”
“If you have not slept enough, you can continue sleeping. I will handle things. The Eldest Young Master is at an age where he is still growing. He ate quite a lot and is already sturdier than the Master. There is a bit of breakfast left, so hurry up and eat.”
The system commented, “Giving you leftovers? He truly has bad intentions!”
Chi Wenqiu did not care. He finished the food quickly and was about to confirm Qu Sinian’s schedule for the day when he passed two whispering maids in the living room.
“Hey, I heard the Eldest Young Master is missing some things.”
“He just got back. What is missing?”
“Supposedly a childhood toy. It sounds like nothing, but it is worth a fortune, at least several hundred thousand!”
“That expensive? What exactly is it?”
“It seems to be a crystal. It is very rare, and the Eldest Young Master treasures it so much he is reluctant to even take it out. How did it get lost?”
Chi Wenqiu had originally planned to find Qu Sinian, but he changed direction and went to Qu Jing’s room. The boy was still dealing with jet lag and woke up immediately when he heard an unfamiliar footstep in the room. The big boy, who had just fallen asleep, had blurry eyes. He habitually slept naked. As he sat up, the thin quilt covering his abdominal muscles slid down. His pure silver hair was a messy nest, and the metal chain around his neck hung crookedly over his cream-colored chest.
Upon seeing Chi Wenqiu, his eyes widened, and he quickly pulled the quilt up to cover his chest. Chi Wenqiu was unfazed and asked directly, “Pardon the intrusion, Eldest Young Master. May I ask what important item you have lost?”
“Uh, it was not that important. I will change my clothes first.” Startled by Chi Wenqiu, Qu Jing’s sleepiness vanished. The beautiful butler turned around, and Qu Jing scrambled to pull on his clothes. It was an indescribable feeling, but he simply did not want to face Chi Wenqiu while looking unpresentable.
“Young Master, do your clothes need laundering? I handle the Master’s clothes as well, so you can rest assured.”
“No need, I can do it myself.”
“It is quite alright. You may order us as you please; otherwise, I would feel guilty receiving my salary.”
“Then, help me wash them?”
“Certainly.”
Qu Jing secretly observed the young butler’s back. Chi Wenqiu’s head was slightly lowered, and a small, cute braid was tied at the back of his head. The nape of his neck, which his hair could not hide, was pale and delicate. There even seemed to be a red mark left by a pinch. Before Qu Jing could look closer, the butler turned his head and said, “Eldest Young Master, it seems there is more than just your footprint in this room. Look, the floor is so polished that the light reveals clear footprints. They do not look like a man’s; rather, they look like a woman’s. Furthermore, the pattern does not match your shoes or mine.”
He was analyzing the situation seriously, which was quite cute. Qu Jing was startled by his own thought. Before he could snap out of it, Chi Wenqiu turned around with a cold, calm expression and said with certainty, “I have always held the keys to your room and cleaned it personally. Before you returned, someone else must have entered. I will pull the surveillance footage and investigate thoroughly to give you an explanation.”
Before his trousers were fully fastened, Qu Jing turned his head away awkwardly. “What if you do not find it?”
“If I cannot find it, my salary should be deducted as compensation, as I am responsible for these matters.”
“Your salary is probably not much, right?”
“Ten thousand a month.”
“That is so low. Are there no commissions?”
“No. It has been a fixed salary for the past three years.”
While Qu Jing was thinking about how stingy his father was, Chi Wenqiu softly called out, “Eldest Young Master.”
“Yes?”
“You forgot to pull up your zipper.” As Chi Wenqiu spoke, he walked over, half-knelt to pull up the zipper, and then stood up elegantly. His actions were so natural and composed that it seemed as though he had done it countless times before.
Qu Jing took a shocked step back. “Uh, you, you did not have to do that.”
“It is no matter. I am used to it.”
Chi Wenqiu’s watch vibrated. He checked his phone and said, “Please wait. The Master is calling for me. I will investigate the surveillance later.”
“Actually, it does not matter. It was not an important item anyway.”
“Since it is your property, even if it were an inexpensive item, you should be the one to decide its fate. Moreover, housebreaking is no small matter. I will handle this seriously.”
Chi Wenqiu was so rigid that Qu Jing could not help but wonder what beautiful scene it would be if he were to one day break down. Would he lose control because of passion? Or would he be hurt by emotions? As his thoughts spiraled out of control, the young butler had already left the room. A faint, elegant, and crisp fragrance lingered in the air, as if to remind Qu Jing that Chi Wenqiu had just been standing there.
Qu Sinian was not someone who depended on others by nature; he simply enjoyed ordering Chi Wenqiu around. To him, this was a form of flirtation. By the time Chi Wenqiu had finished soothing the older man, lunchtime had passed. He did not forget the theft case. He went to the security room himself and discovered that the surveillance footage for the area near Qu Jing’s room had been deleted.
Only a few people had high-level access to the footage: Chi Wenqiu, the old head butler, and Qu Sinian. He seemed to know who was behind this.
The system said, “Host, this is bad! The old head butler is telling the Eldest Young Master about you.”
“The tactic of shifting blame; he has played it at least ten times. Does he not learn?”
“It seems more sophisticated this time. He knows how to incite hatred between you and the Eldest Young Master to benefit himself. How wicked! Host, you must not lower yourself to their level!”
Ignoring the noisy system in his head, Chi Wenqiu walked downstairs. He happened to hear Qu Jing let out an incredulous roar, “Dad is getting me a stepmother? He is famously frigid!”
