The Security Guard Who Won the Heart of the Unattainable Actress - Chapter 39.1
Chapter 39.1
“What did I just click in and see!!!!”
“F-face revealed?”
“Holy crap! Holy crap!”
“It’s the security girl’s profile! She’s clearly a great beauty! Who was saying before that only her eyes were good and everything else must be ugly?”
“Screenshot and compare! Quick! Weren’t you guys looking for that girl on Douyin before? Hurry!”
“The girl can literally give Teacher Ran a princess carry. That is so swoon-worthy”
“Ahhhhhhh! I’m going to make my girlfriend practice arm strength today! What kind of partner can’t carry their partner!”
“Since I started watching this show, I’ve seen so many talented people in the comments section”
“Why are your shorts flying everywhere?”
“She can even directly pick up the Goddess and lightly toss her a little!”
“Don’t worry about it! Staff member, don’t love her too much! She must be a fan”
“My Goddess is seriously injured. I just came from the other camera. They were all saying their inner thighs hurt badly during the game. Applying medicine only helped a little”
“There’s no need to just pick her up like that. Is this staff member trying to become famous?”
“I think so too. And staging a mask drop! Is she trying to latch onto Ran Mingyue’s popularity?”
“Why do you have to think the worst of people? Bear II is clearly worried about Teacher Ran. She’s usually everyone’s little sun.”
“Exactly… Bear II was just as dedicated when she was Jiang Qiaoye’s accompanying security guard in the first season.”
“Right… Bear II protected Jiang Qiaoye this second season too. She’s good to every guest”
“Now that I’ve seen Bear Ears’ profile, I like her even more. I can’t imagine anyone not loving a great beauty”
“See, now someone is defending her. Still saying it’s not a publicity stunt… Tsk“
Li Guang’s profile appeared on camera for a fleeting moment. She was looking away, thankfully not revealing her entire face.
Since she was accompanying Ran Mingyue on a leisure task, it wasn’t as strict, so Li Guang wasn’t wearing sunglasses.
Li Guang didn’t know how much the audience had seen.
“I’m sorry…” Ran Mingyue immediately reached out to pick up the fallen mask. Li Guang shook her head at her, held Ran Mingyue steadily, and leaned down to pick up the mask herself.
“Holy crap】
“Bear Ears is holding Ran Mingyue with one hand!!! And can still pick up the mask herself!!!!”
“Bear Ears, what else are you hiding from us!!!”
“This woman is exuding a damned charm”
She picked up the mask but couldn’t put it on with one hand. She tried twice, and it didn’t work. As the mask string fell a third time, Ran Mingyue’s fingertips hooked onto it again.
She naturally and carefully helped Li Guang secure it over her ears, her gaze focused.
The skin of Li Guang’s earlobe was touched by Ran Mingyue and felt hot… She wasn’t sure if it was her own or Sister Mingyue’s fingers that were warm.
Li Guang exhaled softly, steadily walked to the door, and set Ran Mingyue down.
“Do you want to put on sunglasses?” Ran Mingyue was still asking, but Li Guang had already swiftly opened the door to the bubble tea shop for her.
“Don’t worry about that; just come inside and rest.” Li Guang shook her head, leading Ran Mingyue inside.
As soon as they entered, a long-haired Ragdoll cat gave a soft meow, tilting its head curiously at the reception counter to look at them.
The bubble tea making area and the cat petting area were separated by glass. They could stay here for about two hours, until eleven o’clock, before going back to see how the ingredients at the main camp were coming along.
But Li Guang really wanted to find a place to apply the medicine for Ran Mingyue first. She felt Ran Mingyue’s injury was serious because the person always habitually endured pain.
She was afraid Ran Mingyue would keep enduring it and not tell her the truth.
“I’m fine now,” Ran Mingyue had just been put down from Li Guang’s embrace and only felt thirsty. Though helpless, her voice couldn’t help but be tinged with a slight pleasure. “Really…”
The production team had already greeted the cat cafe owner, so Ran Mingyue went straight to the making area after entering.
It was a weekday, so the shop wasn’t crowded. Places with such good conditions would normally have people coming in to film, so their arrival didn’t attract much attention.
“You’re ‘fine’ but you don’t say anything. Your acting is good, so I can’t tell when you’re lying to me,” Li Guang grumbled discontentedly. Ran Mingyue put on her mask inside and then tied on a clean, white apron, looking quite professional.
Li Guang leaned against the glass window to watch Ran Mingyue, and the Ragdoll cat that had greeted them was there too. Ran Mingyue, after putting on the apron, turned around and saw two pairs of round eyes watching her. For a moment, she thought she was seeing a copy-and-paste happening right in front of her.
“I wouldn’t lie to you,” Ran Mingyue whispered from inside. “Go sit down. I’ll bring your bubble tea over once it’s made.”
Li Guang naturally said, “I want it sweet, and I want two cups. One made by you, and one made by a staff member.”
She wants to compare? Ran Mingyue said, “You don’t trust my skills?”
Li Guang smiled as she stroked the Ragdoll cat. She saw the name “Lizi” written on the cat’s name tag.
“Lizi, let’s go.” During their back-and-forth conversation, she carefully observed Ran Mingyue’s condition. Since she seemed genuinely comfortable now, Li Guang relaxed.
Lizi heard its name and happily meowed, running very gently and affectionately into Li Guang’s arms.
The wind chime outside the shop made a ‘ding-a-ling’ sound as customers occasionally left and entered.
The camera was focused on Ran Mingyue, so Li Guang was naturally relaxed, only needing to comfortably nestle in the seat and wait. The heating inside was strong, so she took off her jacket.
Wearing a sweater and sweatpants, she pulled down her fuzzy hat.
The brim covered her eyes, the mask covered the lower half of her face. She leaned her head back and let out a comfortable sigh, spread-eagled.
White noise, bubble tea, and jazz music—an environment where no one would disturb her.
This is life! Paid nap time starts now.
Lizi jumped onto her stomach and kneaded, purring, purring, purring.
Li Guang: Purr, purr, purr.
Her sweater and sweatpants were soft material, making them a perfect magnet for cat paws. After the first cat lay down, a second, third, fourth, and fifth one arrived.
One on each leg, one on her chest. One under her left armpit, and one on her head, forming a gentle C-shape that encircled Li Guang’s head.

It’s too wonderful. She could stay here all day!
When Ran Mingyue looked up again, she couldn Guang. The spot where she had seen someone sitting was empty. She only saw several cats lazily flicking their tails and licking their paws.
“Where is she?” she asked, and the camera followed her gaze.
“Teacher Ran, she’s right where you’re looking.”
Ran Mingyue: “?”
The viewers in the comments section were originally arguing fiercely over the previous topic: who this staff member was, whether it was a marketing tactic by some entertainment company, and whether the staff member deliberately tried to stand out.
If Ran Mingyue’s group hadn’t been on a separate mission, the real-time viewership wouldn’t have been so high, otherwise, the words “Bear Ears Staff Member” would have undoubtedly topped the search rankings.
At this moment, as the cats appeared on screen, the audience’s voices were replaced by something else.
“What kind of magical place is this? I want to go too”
“Well, look at that, Bear II is gone?”
“Look closely at the area occupied by five cats in the upper left. Bear II’s head is under the belly of the long-haired Maine Coon”
“Dying of laughter! What is this, a human catnip?”
“So cute and cozy! Bear II has the most cats! No wonder my Goddess couldn’t find her. If no one pointed it out, I would have missed it too”
At this point, a viewer even sent a location comment, marking an arrow next to Li Guang’s fully covered face.
“Teacher Ran, look, your security guard is here!”
“Sigh, they’re all kneading on her. I’ve been to this cat cafe, and that red-brown Maine Coon is super aloof towards me. How is it being so fawning to Bear II?”
“What harm can a person that animals love so much have?”
“Seeing this scene, I suddenly thought of a young artist from Xiguang. Bear II’s face looks a bit like that person’s. No way??”
“A young artist? In the industry? Impossible. Someone who was an artist wouldn’t come work as staff / laugh-cry. Didn’t make enough money as an artist, so she’s slumming it to earn a small salary? I thought you were just trying to whitewash her.”
“I’m serious. I briefly followed her before, but she was too obscure, so I stopped paying attention. She’s a young artist from Xiguang named Li Guang“
“Who? Never heard of her. Not even on Baidu Baike”
The name “Li Guang” briefly appeared only once in that comment, but it didn’t grab anyone’s attention.
Ran Mingyue finally found where Li Guang was. It was only when the Maine Coon condescended to lift a leg that she discovered Li Guang’s little head beneath the long fur.
A small black and white curly-haired Devon Rex was tucked under Li Guang’s armpit. The cameraman called out, and Li Guang happily and cheerily waved her right hand: “I’m here!”
She was quite considerate to the cats, using the other hand.
“There are several sweet flavors.” Ran Mingyue came out with the menu to find her. A pile of cats clung to Li Guang, unwilling to leave. Li Guang was half-slumped on the sofa, and Ran Mingyue felt like a bubble tea shop waitress right now.
“Which kind do you want?”
Li Guang laboriously got up. The fat orange cat squatting on her chest fell off and landed on Lizi, who was squatting on her abdomen. Lizi bit the orange cat’s rear, and the two cats went off to fight.
Ran Mingyue: “…”
“I like taro mash or chestnut mash, and the cheese series. I want extra mochi and extra bobo pearls, and brown sugar pearls.” Li Guang ordered swiftly. “The one I drank this morning was so good; it had so many ingredients it was like a bowl of porridge.”
All high in sugar. It seemed she really loved sweets. Ran Mingyue noted it down and then asked, “Do you want porridge or bubble tea?”
“I like eating the extra toppings,” Li Guang chuckled. “What flavor do you like?”
Ran Mingyue said, “Sugar-free. I can’t eat things too sweet.”
“Right, you all have to control your weight,” Li Guang said understandingly. This was the trouble of being a female celebrity. “Have you learned how to make it?”
“Still learning. I’ll make yours soon.” As Ran Mingyue was about to leave, she noticed the two fighting cats were back, both competing for the prime spot on Li Guang’s stomach.
“The cats really like you,” Ran Mingyue said. “I was looking for you for a long time before I realized you were buried under cats.”
“This is the feeling of happiness.” Li Guang’s hands never stopped, stroking one cat, then comforting another, her fingers changing flexibly, scratching chins or rubbing backs.
“The cats don’t seem very familiar with me,” Ran Mingyue took off her gloves and tried to reach out. Lizi ignored her.
Li Guang said, “Do you remember the calico cat? It really likes to run over to you. Cats choose their own destiny.”
Ran Mingyue suddenly smiled, the meaning unclear: “That’s true.”
It was worth leaving snacks and freeze-dried treats for the little calico cat at night.
Not long after, Ran Mingyue brought two cups of bubble tea.
Li Guang remained still on the sofa, a living cat bed. When Ran Mingyue arrived, the Holstein Devon cat had changed locations and was now kneading on Li Guang’s stomach.
Li Guang was wearing thick clothes but still felt ticklish on her belly. She tried to hold it in but eventually burst into loud laughter.
“It tickles! Hahahahaha…” Li Guang gave up resisting, laughing uncontrollably, her body shaking, and the kitten shaking along with her, but it kept kneading.
Ran Mingyue saw Li Guang was clearly enjoying it and offered a suggestion: “Tighten your core, and you won’t feel ticklish.”
Li Guang waved her hand. Ran Mingyue pinched her fingertip. As Li Guang felt the tickle, she pulled her hand back.
Ran Mingyue’s gaze then shifted to the clueless little Devon. For the first time, she found this little animal so annoying!
The kitten didn’t feel annoying at all and was relentlessly kneading.
Li Guang’s voice became a broken gasp: “Even when I tighten it… it still tickles.”
“Are you especially ticklish?” Ran Mingyue sat down next to her, holding a chubby cat in each arm, starting her rescue mission.
Only the Devon on Li Guang’s stomach was the most persistent and refused to leave.
“It’s because it really tickles like this,” Li Guang whined, arching her back to sit up from the sofa, catching the sliding kitten, and placing it on Ran Mingyue’s body. “Try it yourself.”
The little Devon didn’t realize it had been moved and habitually started kneading on Ran Mingyue’s flat abdomen.
Ran Mingyue’s expression was normal. Li Guang stared at her in surprise: “You don’t feel ticklish at all?”
“No,” Ran Mingyue said. “I tightened my core.”
Li Guang didn’t believe it and leaned in curiously. Ran Mingyue didn’t realize what Li Guang was about to do.
Until Li Guang’s finger lightly touched the side of Ran Mingyue’s waist. Li Guang was so close to her that Ran Mingyue could see her clearly defined eyelashes.
Ran Mingyue flinched. Li Guang smiled, sitting up with her hands on her hips: “See! And you said you weren’t ticklish.”
She thought she had found Ran Mingyue’s weakness and looked slightly triumphant.
Next time Sister Mingyue is disobedient, she’ll just tickle her!
Ran Mingyue, however, didn’t say a word. Her gaze was forcibly and stiffly directed at the bubble tea cup, giving herself a moment to calm down. She didn’t look at Li Guang, nor did she let the camera see; her current expression was definitely not normal.
Ran Mingyue was not particularly ticklish, but Li Guang’s touch was an exception. Her body would become extremely sensitive. The tickle would travel to her heart, not just her skin.
The little Devon finished kneading, wagged its tail, and happily left. Ran Mingyue pushed the bubble tea cup towards Li Guang: “Try it.”
Neither cup had a straw inserted yet. Li Guang chose the cup closer to her.
With one sip, a mouthful of toppings was sucked up. Li Guang immediately tasted her favorite mochi and brown sugar pearl flavor.
It was sweet, mixed with the savory aroma of cheese.
Wuwu, wonderful. Li Guang squinted her eyes in enjoyment and couldn’t help but let out a “Ha.”
“That’s my honest reaction when I drink the bubble tea I wanted”
“Bear Ears looks like a cat too. Do the cats like her because they think she’s one of them, hahaha”
“Am I watching a dating show right now?”
“Coming over from the other side and suddenly clicking on this stream is definitely a bit jarring. Over there, they’re wailing while doing tasks; over here, it’s peaceful years and bubble tea”
“It was all changed by Teacher Ran. Let’s just say, without Teacher Ran pushing herself in the wirework segment, we wouldn’t have these two hours”
“I suddenly get what others mean when they say people with beautiful eyes look flirtatious to everyone. When Ran Mingyue looks at Bear Ears, if I didn’t know Bear Ears was staff, I’d think this was a real-life version of ‘The Big Star Falls for Me’…”
“No way! Don’t guess wildly! I remember Brother Ye said that Ran Mingyue was a bit distant when interacting with Guard 06, and Guard 06 wasn’t Sister Ran’s security guard at first; Brother Ye asked to switch later”
“With you rational fans, a person can’t even dream about shipping them. I originally thought the staff member had a chance, so I must have a chance too, hahaha”
After Li Guang drank from that cup, Ran Mingyue opened the cup in front of her.
She just inserted the straw and left it aside. Sure enough, after two sips of her own, Li Guang became curious about Ran Mingyue’s cup: “Aren’t you going to drink yours?”
“Want to try? This cup isn’t sweet,” Ran Mingyue said, pushing her cup towards Li Guang. “Try it.”
Ran Mingyue’s cup was indeed not sweet, strong with tea flavor, subtly blended with milk, and had the aroma of Maojian and jasmine.
It had a medium amount of toppings, without cheese, which allowed the pure, fresh tea flavor to shine. Perhaps because the taste of the previous cup was overly rich, Li Guang felt this sip was just right, neutralizing the former perfectly.
“It tastes good!” Li Guang said.
Ran Mingyue asked, “Is yours very sweet?”
“Very sweet.”
“The one you’re holding was made by a staff member at my request. This cup was made by me because I was afraid you wouldn’t like the taste of mine,” Ran Mingyue finished, her gaze falling on the cup Li Guang had drunk from.
Li Guang generously said, “Do you want to try mine?”
She pushed her bubble tea cup over, only to remember halfway that the straw had already been used. She reached for the straw in the other cup, then remembered she had also taken a sip from that one.
