- Chapter 17 - They’re Here, They’re Here!
[It’s alive!]
[Watch your wording upstairs.]
[They’re here, they’re here!]
The moment Chaochao saw the cameras, his eyes lit up. He immediately dashed toward them to introduce himself.
“Hello everyone! Can you all see me?”
[Yes!]
[Aunty can see you!]
As if he could actually see the bullet comments, Chaochao curled his eyes happily and waved at the lens. “Hello everyone, I am Chaochao, the treasure of my Baba and Father.”
Gu Wancheng thought to himself, This little brat really knows how to talk himself up.
[We know now.]
[Okay, Chaochao.]
[Okay, dear Chaochao, can you tell Aunty who your Father is?]
[Has my “wife” really got a husband? Crying.jpg]
[So, “wife” was kissing his husband behind our backs early this morning.]
[Is there anything that we, the distinguished VIPs, are not allowed to watch? Fuming.jpg]
Inside the room, Bo Yizhou was watching the live stream. Looking at the string of comments calling Gu Wancheng “wife,” his brows furrowed deeply. Did these people not have wives of their own?
“I am four years old this year. My best friend is Suisui, and I love to eat everything.”
[A baby who isn’t a picky eater! Covering mouth.jpg]
[Baby, you are one in a million.]
Immediately after, Chaochao added, “Except for cilantro and fish mint, and also coffee and tea.”
[No! Cilantro is so delicious.]
[Cilantro clearly tastes terrible.]
[Fish mint is the one that’s tasty; it’s so crunchy.]
[Delicious!]
[Disgusting!]
[They’re all disgusting.]
[Get out of here!]
[Stop arguing, the omnivore faction fears nothing.]
[Hmph, you people just don’t know how to appreciate it.]
[Sorry, I probably won’t appreciate it in this lifetime. Maybe in the next one.]
Chaochao had no idea that his single sentence had sparked a “Great War.” After happily finishing his self-introduction, he sat obediently in his chair. Only then did he notice the two people in the corner and said loudly, “Good morning, two Uncles.”
Xiao Liu and Xiao Zhang, whose presence had been lower than the two cameras, thought, “Thank you, have you finally noticed us?”
Xiao Liu and Xiao Zhang replied, “Good morning, Chaochao.”
“Baba, come here quickly.”
Gu Wancheng finally walked over. “Eat up, it will get cold if you wait any longer.”
He picked up a pig-shaped bun and placed it in Chaochao’s bowl. Chaochao wrinkled his nose, poked the pig’s snout, and immediately picked up another pig bun to put back into Gu Wancheng’s bowl.
Chaochao believed in getting his revenge on the spot!
Gu Wancheng waved the bun in front of Chaochao’s eyes and then stuffed it into his mouth in one go.
Chaochao’s eyes widened. Baba actually ate a whole bun in one bite!
The bun was made small, but for Chaochao, it was still too big to finish in a single mouthful.
The breakfast was a delight for everyone involved.
“You eat slowly, I am going to step away for a moment.”
After finishing his meal, Gu Wancheng took the breakfast he had asked Xiaoyu to prepare earlier and headed back to the room.
[This non-celebrity guest is so unprofessional. The stream has been on for so long, yet he’s only appeared a few times.]
[Why do you care so much? Maybe he has things to do.]
[You think he’s here to work, but he’s actually here to play.]
“Mitu!”
“Mama.” Mitu rubbed her eyes, her voice sweet and adorable as she looked up at her mother.
“My little Mitu, did you sleep well?” Xu Xiashi struck a dramatic pose of affection, tilting her head toward Mitu.
[Help, she’s killing me.]
[How can Sister be so sweet yet so cool at the same time?]
[Mitu, you are a sweet little cupcake.]
“I slept very well, and I even had a dream.”
“Does my baby remember what the dream was about?”
Mitu froze, trying hard to recall the dream. Finally, she scratched her head and said dejectedly, “I don’t remember.”
Xu Xiashi patted her head and comforted her, “That’s because the dream elf doesn’t want others to know it exists, so that’s why you don’t remember.”
“Really?”
“Of course.”
Seeing Mitu’s mood brighten, Xu Xiashi gently brushed her messy hair.
[Sister is so gentle.]
She patted Mitu’s back, squeezed out some toothpaste, and let the girl go wash up on her own.
“Mama, put on the fragrant cream.”
The child stood by Xu Xiashi’s feet, pulling on her skirt and looking up while speaking in a milky voice.
Xu Xiashi’s heart instantly melted. With stars in her eyes, she half-knelt, took a jar of cream, dabbed a bit, and gently applied it to Mitu’s face. Mitu closed her eyes in enjoyment at the soft touch, the milky scent lingering in the air.
[Such a well-behaved baby.]
[Another day of raising a child through the screen.]
“Alright, I’m sure everyone in front of the screen already knows Mitu, so I won’t make her do a self-introduction.” After saying that, she gave a playful wink to the camera.
[No! We want to hear the baby introduce herself.]
[Sister, what are you doing? Crying.jpg]
Xu Xiashi knew exactly what the comments wanted to see, but she intentionally refused.
( ̄︶ ̄)
“This morning we are having green vegetable and lean meat porridge. After we finish, we can go play.”
Mitu nodded vigorously. “I love drinking porridge!”
“Jian Yue!”
Ring, ring, ring!
Jian Yue picked up an alarm clock and placed it right next to Zuo Zuo’s ear.
“Ah! You are so annoying!” Zuo Zuo flipped over and covered his ears. Only when Jian Yue saw that he was awake did he turn off the alarm, looking nonchalant. “It is your fault for not waking up for so long; I had no choice but to use the alarm.”
When Zuo Zuo saw the alarm clock in his brother’s hand, he spoke in disbelief, his voice nearly cracking, “Why is this alarm clock still here?”
The alarm clock Jian Yue was holding was incredibly ugly and almost abstract. It had two eyes of different sizes on top that flashed multi-colored lights intermittently, and a wide-open bloody mouth at the bottom with green vegetable leaves stuck on it.
[I am dying of laughter. They started their love-hate relationship early in the morning.]
[I did not expect Zuo Zuo to be such a heavy sleeper.]
[You You called him for so long and could not wake him up. Laughing.jpg]
[Where do you even buy an alarm clock like that? I have a friend who wants one.]
[Making up a friend for yourself, right?]
“This alarm clock is pretty good; I have to bring it along.”
Jian Yue tossed the alarm clock up and down occasionally, squinting at Zuo Zuo while muttering to himself.
Hearing his words, Zuo Zuo was so shocked his mouth could have fit a whole goose egg. Once he snapped out of it, he immediately scrambled up, flailing his arms. His face was so red with anger that it looked like a round red apple.
“You cannot bring it! If you dare bring it, I will cry!”
“Eww, I am so scared.” Jian Yue made a face at him, pressing a finger against Zuo Zuo’s forehead while speaking in a sarcastic tone.
“Go brush your teeth already. Lots of people are watching you.”
Upon hearing this, Zuo Zuo finally noticed the photographer standing at the door. He instantly froze as if petrified, looking like he might crumble if a gust of wind blew by.
[Zuo Zuo finally noticed! Hahaha.]
[Can we please have some pity for our Zuo Zuo? Stop laughing at him, Hahahaha.]
[Can you take back your laugh before you say that?]
“Hahahahahahahaha, this is killing me!”
Jian Yue mocked him relentlessly, laughing until tears came out. Zuo Zuo’s face flushed deep red; he gave his unreliable older brother a fierce glare, and not daring to look at the camera, he turned and ran toward the bathroom.
He needed some peace and quiet.
The sound of footsteps faded outside the door. Following the sound of the door closing, Zuo Zuo quietly opened the bathroom door and poked his head out to take a look. Seeing that everyone was gone, he pulled his head back, let out a heavy sigh, and began washing his face and brushing his teeth.
