The Romance Extras Turned Out to Be a Yuri Story - Chapter 74
“Xiangdong!” Tan Yi was weeping uncontrollably.
Father Lin stood blank-faced by the hospital bed.
The couple had just been notified that Lin Xiangdong was in a car accident while they were in the middle of a cold war.
Upon receiving the news, rushing over, and seeing Lin Xiangdong lying on the bed completely unconscious, both their minds went blank. Tan Yi immediately collapsed in tears by the bedside, while Father Lin could only stare blankly.
This man, usually as solid as a mountain, seemed to finally crumble under the terrifying pressure of both his children getting into trouble one after another. His body swayed, and he directly collapsed.
Tan Yi let out another shriek.
Lin Luoluo looked at the chaos.
She felt like a weary child who couldn’t find her way home, standing at her brother’s bedside.
She never expected Lan Yingying to be so insane, willing to abandon her own family.
Zhang Qiu had been hospitalized twice now. Perhaps due to the female lead’s halo, or just good luck, her injuries weren’t as severe as Lin Xiangdong’s. At the moment the car flipped off the road, she ducked and covered her head, narrowly escaping serious harm. She sustained multiple bruises and cuts but remained conscious. Lin Xiangdong, however, was immediately knocked unconscious and showed no signs of waking.
Zhang Qiu saw a blinding white haze, as if countless snowflakes were flying.
She heard a doctor’s voice nearby saying, “What a tragedy.”
“And so young.”
“If he doesn’t wake up today, he won’t have a chance.”
“Doctor, who are you talking about?” Zhang Qiu fumbled, trying to sit up.
“Hey! Don’t move!” The nurse stopped her, looking at her expression and asking, “Can you not see?”
Zhang Qiu froze for a moment. Her beautiful eyes gazed blankly ahead.
“Did the doctor turn on the light?”
Inside the ward, someone sighed. The swirling snowflakes in her vision gradually subsided into a deep darkness.
“The brain suffered a severe impact. There is a possibility of blindness.”
“It seems there’s a blood clot that hasn’t dissolved, pressing on a nerve.”
“Have the patient’s family been contacted?”
“She didn’t give a number? Should we just tell her we can handle it?”
“She was brought in with that boy? Lucky to be alive, she really dodged a bullet.”
The distant whispers made Zhang Qiu lower her eyes. Her hands lay flat on the bed, then clenched, making her feel incredibly helpless.
Lin Luoluo drifted over unsteadily, glanced at Zhang Qiu from a distance, and then floated away.
Zhang Qiu subconsciously looked in the direction she had come from. She wondered if it was her imagination, but she felt like someone had just been standing there, looking at her.
Sang Jing stood beside Lin Luoluo and asked, “Have you made up your mind?”
Lin Luoluo nodded, a hint of sorrow in her expression.
“You’re right. If things continue this way, the disaster will only spread. If I can be the one to end this whole ordeal, that would be for the best.”
Sang Jing said, “I’m glad you’ve made a decision. Let’s go, it’s not too late yet.”
“There’s no moon tonight,” Lin Luoluo looked up at the night sky. After midnight, it was officially the fifteenth.
Just as she finished speaking, the wind died down, the trees became still, and the rain that had been falling for half a month stopped. The scene, like a heavily pixelated painting, suddenly became clear.
Sang Jing had driven there.
She drove Lin Luoluo out, just as someone else drove into the hospital.
Lan Yingying’s face was as dark as the bottom of a pot. She rushed into the hospital before the car even fully stopped.
She wanted to kill someone, but she never intended to hurt her own brother.
No matter how bad Lin Xiangdong was, he was still her biological brother!
The system in her mind prompted: [It’s the fifteenth! The Red Moon is about to appear! You should go to the Lin house! This is the perfect time for the soul swap!]
[Shut up!] Lan Yingying snapped angrily.
The system was displeased.
[I told you not to mess around! There would be plenty of time after the swap! You insisted on eliminating rivals before this, delaying the important matter! Do you still want to be the female lead?!]
[After I see my brother, I’ll go to the Lin house,] Lan Yingying squeezed the words out from between her teeth.
The system was frustrated. Unable to persuade her, it had no choice but to be silent.
The roads were a bit deserted in the early morning. There weren’t many cars on the street, and Sang Jing drove fast, operating mostly at illegal speeds.
The damp night wind brought a bit of coolness. Lin Luoluo watched the sky slowly brighten. The clear moonlight passed through the thin, veil-like clouds, revealing a strange, ominous halo.
The bright spot slowly expanded, and red color gradually washed over the bright moon.
The blood-red moon carried a sense of foreboding. Lin Luoluo took a deep breath.
Sang Jing drove up to the gate of the Lin family’s residence. The entrance was guarded, and the lights were on inside the house.
Sang Jing knocked on the Lin family’s door: “Lin Xiangdong is in an accident, and his mother and father are both at the hospital. His mother asked me to look after Luoluo. They might be staying at the hospital for a while and are worried about Luoluo being home alone.”
The security guard opened the door. A maid let Sang Jing in, her voice filled with worry.
“Is the young master alright?”
Sang Jing smiled at her, “It will be alright.”
The maid looked worried, “Miss Sang, is the guest room okay for you?”
Sang Jing smiled back, “I’d like to stay with Luoluo. Is the caregiver asleep? I can watch over her tonight.”
The maid was surprised, “Oh, you shouldn’t! You are our guest.”
Sang Jing said, “I really want to stay with Luoluo tonight. This is also what Mrs. Lin intended.”
Mentioning her employer, the maid stopped insisting. She dismissed the caregiver and prepared new bedding for Sang Jing.
Sang Jing stood in Lin Luoluo’s room, looking up at the moonlight outside the window. The red permeated the night sky; the Blood Moon was unsettling.
“Are you ready?” she asked the empty air softly.
Lin Luoluo nodded. Sang Jing didn’t ask again.
She had Lin Luoluo lie down beside her physical body and told her, “Don’t resist, just follow the feeling.”
Sang Jing drew the curtains open. Moonlight shone on the bed, and a layer of mist began to fill the room.
Lin Luoluo heard the system’s struggle.
[Are you truly giving up everything you have now? Starting over will be incredibly difficult! Are you willing to abandon your loving family and your lover? You are not without a chance against her! A new world is about to unfold, and you are the female lead. The opportunity to turn clouds into rain is in your hands!]
“Don’t listen to its nonsense! Focus your mind!”
The moonlight strangely converged into a red thread, piercing the night sky and shooting into the room. Lin Luoluo felt an intense heat all around her. The light became blindingly bright, and soon she couldn’t see anything. In a daze, she only heard a voice say: “It’s been switched back.”
[Host’s mission has failed. Punishment commencing.]
It was the long-lost system voice.
[Time Reversal.]
“Senior, I like you! Please go out with me!”
Beneath the cherry blossom tree, the shy girl bowed her head. Pink petals were blown off by the wind. The hem of the girl’s skirt lifted, and her curly hair danced in the breeze.
The boy did not move for a long time. The girl waited and finally raised her eyes shyly to look at him. He slowly turned and took the love letter from Lin Luoluo’s hand.
Gu Beichen opened it immediately, read it, then folded it back into the envelope with a smile. Holding the letter between his long fingers, he said, “Lin Luoluo, did you mistake me for someone else?”
“I hate drinking milk, and my ring finger isn’t shorter than my index finger.”
“Who is this love letter for? Are you practicing how to confess on me?”
“You’re so mischievous right after returning to the country. I might tell your brother.”
Lin Luoluo stared blankly at the cheerful, smiling Gu Beichen. Tears uncontrollably streamed from her eyes, one large drop after another.
Gu Beichen, who had been smiling, panicked when he saw her crying so heartbrokenly.
“I was just joking. Your face blindness isn’t new; it’s understandable that you mistook me. I won’t tell your brother, hey! Stop crying!”
Lin Luoluo couldn’t stop the tears. She tried to curl her lips into a smile for Gu Beichen, but it looked worse than crying. She said, “I know.”
“If you know, why are you still crying? I won’t tell your brother you like someone else,” Gu Beichen scratched his head, looking at the red-eyed, tearful Lin Luoluo. “It’s natural to have a crush. I wasn’t laughing at you just now.”
“The opening ceremony is about to start. Are you going?”
Lin Luoluo was confused, “The opening ceremony?” Hadn’t she just transferred? Did she miss the start of the semester?
Gu Beichen saw the confusion on her face and knew she had forgotten again.
“Your sophomore year’s opening ceremony? It’s about to start! Does your class take roll call?”
Just as he spoke, the bell for the auditorium rang. Someone rushed over from the side and shrieked, “President! The Vice President has been looking for you for ages! You’re in charge of the speech for the new students today! Did you forget? Why are you still here!”
Gu Beichen: “Oh no!”
He rushed towards the school auditorium with the secretary.
Lin Luoluo turned around and saw Gu Beichen’s black suit jacket flying behind him. Fang Duo nervously followed in her high heels. Ahead of them were Mu Yunchun and Lin Xiangdong, waving to them.
Lin Xiangdong shouted, “Lin Luoluo! Hurry up!”
Lin Luoluo involuntarily followed. When she caught up, Lin Xiangdong grabbed her hand and whispered, “Did you dirty Zhang Qiu’s jacket? Lin Luoluo, that’s going too far!”
Lin Luoluo, completely confused, was led by Lin Xiangdong to the school auditorium and back to her class section.
After she sat down, a familiar voice came from the stage: “The Opening Ceremony officially begins. First item, please all rise.”
Lin Luoluo looked up blankly, and immediately saw Zhang Qiu, still beautiful and elegant like a white swan in just a white shirt.
She stood behind the microphone, looking down at her script as she hosted.
“Please rise for the National Anthem!”
“Next, the Principal will give a speech.”
“Second, the Outstanding Student Representative…”
“Now, please welcome our Student Council President…”
Lin Luoluo’s eyes were glued to Zhang Qiu. She was so vibrant and beautiful that Lin Luoluo dared not approach, feeling like this was all a dream.
[System activating…]
[System activated…]
[Hello, dear Host. Please continue to fulfill the mission of the Vicious Supporting Character: humiliate the female lead, bully the female lead, and make her shine with the female lead’s aura!]
[Time-limited Mission activated: Please bully the female lead once within 30 minutes.]
The opening ceremony ended, and Lin Luoluo still hadn’t adjusted.
Everything seemed to have been reset, and only she was still living in the old memory.
[Failure to complete the time-limited mission will result in punishment! Please complete the mission as soon as possible!]
The now lively system was likely one of the main culprits.
Lin Luoluo had a headache.
“Why are you still spacing out?” Someone walked up behind her and tapped Lin Luoluo’s head. Lin Luoluo hugged her head and saw it was Mu Yunchun.
He was also much more cheerful than before.
Lin Xiangdong pulled Lin Luoluo behind him, giving his friend a glare, forbidding him from casually spreading his charm.
“Come on, come with me to apologize to Zhang Qiu!” Lin Xiangdong said, grabbing her hand.
