- The Omega's Vow: Never Marry a Mama's Boy Alpha
- Chapter 34 - How to Deal with a Jealous Fiancée?
Wen Yan had been feeling quite irritable lately.
An inexplicable low pressure seemed to surround her, brewing a chilling aura that attempted to ward off anyone foolish enough to provoke her.
Yet, even when a beauty was angry, her stern expression held a unique charm. So, there were still those who, undeterred, approached her with laughter and chatter, completely disregarding the frost in Wen Yan’s eyes.
Tang Mi waved the script in her hand, her smile so radiant it was hard to stay mad at her.
“Let’s rehearse, Xiao Yan.”
Here we go again.
Wen Xiu quietly stepped back, grumbling inwardly.
The popular actress was using rehearsals as an excuse to flirt with his sister again.
Couldn’t she come up with something new?
Wen Xiu stuck out his tongue in disdain.
Though he was young, he could still see through some things. An alpha constantly hovering around an omega, no one would believe there wasn’t an ulterior motive.
Many in the crew had noticed the oddity, casting subtle glances in their direction. If not for the strict management on set, videos of their close rehearsals would have surely leaked by now.
Wen Xiu had even imagined the headlines for the gossip news, “Tang-Song Couple Over? The Chameleon Scholar Suspected of a New Flame!”
Or perhaps, “Love Born on Set? The Other Woman Rising? Tang Mi Heartlessly Cheats!”
If that happened, his sister would undoubtedly face public condemnation and online slander. The mere thought made Wen Xiu shudder, and he glared at Tang Mi with even more intensity.
What a scoundrel, already involved with someone yet still flirting with my sister. Ugh.
She’s nowhere near as good as Director Lin.
Wait.
Wen Xiu recalled that night his sister’s lonely, cold profile and the lingering low pressure that had followed since then and spat out another “ugh.”
Director Lin was a scoundrel too!
Alphas were nothing but trouble!
Wen Xiu shifted his gaze to Li Xiaomeng. Standing before her, his petite frame forced him to crane his neck upward, which was quite a strain.
“? ”
Li Xiaomeng lowered her head, looking at the blinking young boy.
He’s kind of cute.
Her heart stirred slightly.
But Wen Xiu was thinking: Maybe I should help my sister find a beta in the future~
They wouldn’t use their alpha status to flirt recklessly. Though ordinary, they would surely treat my sister well.
While his little mind wandered with wild thoughts, Wen Yan and Tang Mi quickly immersed themselves in their roles on the other side. Setting aside everything else, the feeling of meeting a worthy opponent was truly satisfying each could match the other’s rhythm and evoke mutual resonance.
The scene they were rehearsing was the one where the female lead, demoted to the rear palace, fell into despondency. Neglected by the servants, she contracted a chill, and Rong’er tenderly cared for her.
Tang Mi had chosen this scene with ulterior motives. In this part, the female lead lay unconscious and cold, so Rong’er removed both their garments and used her own body to warm her, the most ambiguous scene between them.
Of course, they wouldn’t actually undress completely during filming, but that didn’t stop Tang Mi from teasing the great beauty for her own amusement.
Unfortunately, the great beauty showed no signs of shyness or embarrassment. She rehearsed the scene with earnest dedication, and when she held Tang Mi, there was no hesitation, as if she were willing to be close.
The scene ended with that embrace. Tang Mi opened her eyes, feeling a bit unsatisfied.
Wen Yan carried an enchanting cold fragrance. Tang Mi wasn’t sure if it was the scent of pheromones, but she loved it and couldn’t help wanting to return the embrace, holding the person beside her even tighter.
But reason told her it wasn’t possible. With a woman like Wen Yan, if you showed even the slightest hint of restlessness like a fox’s tail you would be mercilessly driven out of her world.
It was a difficult challenge, but one worth taking.
After all, Wen Yan was her ideal type of omega.
Beautiful, commanding, powerful, confident, with intense desires and the strength to match. She was a queen unyielding and unstoppable.
Tang Mi’s trembling heart stirred restlessly.
The first time they met, Wen Yan had stepped out of a sports car wearing stiletto heels, her calves slender and toned without an ounce of excess flesh. Tang Mi had wanted nothing more than to kneel on the ground and kiss the woman’s feet.
Desire had surged over her so quickly, like a raging tide, unreasonable and overwhelming.
Tang Mi was utterly defenseless, left to drift along with the tumultuous waves of her heart.
When Wen Yan released her hand and withdrew from her soft, fragrant embrace, Tang Mi’s heart plummeted, filled with reluctance.
Is there any way to win over an aloof goddess? Super urgent, waiting online!
“You seem a bit down lately.”
Tang Mi didn’t want to leave and was afraid Wen Yan would send her away, so she quickly brought up a new topic.
“No, I’m not.”
Wen Yan’s reply was cold and detached. When she lied, her eyelashes didn’t even flutter, as still as crow feathers.
“You’re lying. I can tell.”
“Oh.”
“If there’s anything bothering you, you can talk to me.”
“There isn’t.”
“Are you sure nothing’s happened?”
What could possibly have happened to her?
That someone who once claimed to like her, who vowed to pursue her, had driven off late at night with an elegant, graceful woman?
What was the point of mentioning it? It wouldn’t change the fact that people’s hearts were fickle.
These dull, tedious topics had exhausted all of Wen Yan’s patience. It wasn’t that she didn’t understand Tang Mi’s intentions, she simply couldn’t be bothered to address them.
Because all it took was a single sentence to shatter that so-called “love” completely.
“I have a fiancée.”
Tang Mi froze for a moment, instinctively taking two steps back, shocked and disbelieving.
See? One after another, they’re all the same. They claim to like you, shower you with concern and endless attentiveness, but the moment they learn you have a fiancée, that “love” inexplicably vanishes into thin air.
As if such an intangible, invisible thing had never existed at all.
Wen Yan had no feelings whatsoever for the Fifth Miss Gu, but at that moment, she felt genuinely grateful for the engagement she was bound to.
It was like a mirror that revealed the truest, ugliest face of love.
How shallow can a person’s proclaimed love and affection truly be?
“Do you love her?” Tang Mi asked with difficulty. She understood Wen Yan’s rejection perfectly well but couldn’t resist asking one more question.
Who could love someone they had never even met?
Wen Yan found it laughable, though her expression remained calm.
“Of course. Why else would I be engaged to her?”
“I have a fiancée.”
“Do you love her?”
“Of course. Why else would I be engaged to her?”
Even though she knew Wen Yan wasn’t speaking the truth, Gu Lin, the Fifth Miss Gu herself, couldn’t help but blush.
Holding a bouquet of violets, she stood beneath a parasol tree, surrounded by a carpet of golden fallen leaves. Dressed exquisitely, her long hair tied up, she looked as though she were waiting for a lover to arrive for a rendezvous.
In reality, she had simply been overwhelmed by longing and had come to visit without even giving notice, quietly hoping to catch a glimpse.
Her director’s pass allowed her to move freely around the film set, and Gu Lin quickly spotted Wen Yan’s private van. She quietly approached and slipped behind the vehicle.
She wasn’t ready, worried that an unexpected meeting might upset Wen Yan.
Gu Lin had rehearsed a long speech in her mind, but just as she prepared to step forward, she saw Tang Mi approaching with a script.
She watched as Wen Yan embraced her.
Gu Lin knew it was just part of the scene, but the infatuation in Tang Mi’s eyes made her heart sink. Her free hand clenched tightly, her alpha instincts screaming at her to punch this rival who coveted Wen Yan. Reason prevailed, trying to calm her agitated emotions.
It wasn’t very effective.
Wen Yan’s few words had been far more soothing.
Gu Lin’s cheeks flushed, an inexplicable sweetness blooming in her heart. Noticing Tang Mi walking away dejectedly, she finally approached at a leisurely pace.
Wen Yan had always been acutely aware of Gu Lin’s presence. With just a turn of her head, her gaze landed precisely where Gu Lin stood.
Seeing her there left Wen Yan momentarily dazed.
The alpha stood holding a bouquet of flowers, her German-style trench coat perfectly accentuating her excellent physique. Every button was fastened neatly, even the one at the collar, presenting an image of restrained elegance.
Her pale complexion seemed dazzling under the sunlight, allowing Wen Yan to clearly see every detail of her face.
The curve of her lips, the longing in her eyes, the hesitation in her steps everything was visible.
“What are you doing here?” Wen Yan asked coldly.
Gu Lin had anticipated this reaction and didn’t dare approach further, answering from where she stood.
“I missed you.”
I missed you, so I came.
