The Omega Becomes The Zerg Queen - Chapter 20
Chapter 20: Sandwich
Ferran rolled his eyes at him.
Look at this guy, acting like the self-righteous master of the house.
On the exquisite sofa, the newborn Queen was looking over, her eyes raised. Aside from a slight flush, her soft lips were like fresh petals and her slender neck like a lily in bloom. Her exposed skin was smooth and delicate, without any marks of heavy suction or rough handling.
He covertly scanned his former comrade-in-arms.
Is this bug… incompetent?
As expected, these old-fashioned, stiff bugs were boring and silent. Even dressed like this, he couldn’t please the Queen at all; he couldn’t even seize a golden opportunity delivered right to his doorstep.
Striding over on long legs, Ferran bowed.
“Good evening, Your Majesty.”
Beneath the gaping collar of his bathrobe, his firm upper body—decorated with black chains—was fully visible, the distinct lines of his V-taper extending down beneath his waistband.
Su Lili’s gaze drifted to the side.
“Ferran, did you come to see me for something specific?”
“It’s the honey chamber.”
He stated his prepared reason and sat down beside the Queen. Half-closing his eyes, he puffed out his chest, pulling his already open collar even wider.
“My King, please take a look.”
The crystal lights of the sleeping quarters shone down from above, making his naturally pale skin appear almost translucent. The warm light hit the metal bite-guard, reflecting a hazy glow and casting shadows across his sharp jawline.
In the center of his collarbone, a pale pink mound was hidden in the shadows, half-lit and half-dark. At a glance, it seemed no different from before.
“What’s wrong?” she asked, puzzled.
The King’s focused and sustained gaze fell upon him, giving him the illusion that he was being tenderly watched. A faint current spread from the center of his collarbone to his entire body. Ferran narrowed his eyes.
If only I could make it so the King could only see me.
He would buy the most livable planet for the King, build the most luxurious palace, clear away all unnecessary people, and personally take care of the King’s daily life. On an isolated planet, the only bug the King could rely on would be him. By then, the King would have to look forward to his favor; surely she would treat him even more tenderly and focus more on him than she did now?
His dark red pupils flickered. Ferran licked his lips and leaned forward, bringing the pale pink mound right in front of the King’s pure black eyes.
Su Lili’s dark lashes fluttered, like a weak breeze brushing over the tip of the honey chamber. The girl’s warm breath puffed against his chest, intermingling with the man’s scorching body heat; at this distance, the temperature was startlingly high.
Ferran’s breath hitched. For a moment, his mind went blank, and he forgot what he was going to say.
“I’m looking, and it doesn’t look any different from before,” Zephyrus’s cold voice echoed from behind Su Lili. “Did you come here specifically to groan about nothing and waste the King’s precious rest time?”
He sat on the other side of the sofa, his broad shoulder pressing against the girl’s rounded head. His tall frame completely enveloped her, her soft black hair spilling out, a few strands threading through the mesh of his combat suit and lightly tickling his chest and skin.
Zephyrus’s body was as tense as a drawn bow. His large, dark hands gripped the sofa, creating deep folds in the fabric.
The small, exquisite three-seater sofa, designed specifically for the King, was now packed tight due to the overly large frames of the two High-tier Zerg. The scorching body heat caused the air temperature to rise. The petite, fair-skinned girl was sandwiched between the two dark figures like melting cream in a biscuit.
Ferran glanced at his former comrade, his dark red eyes full of murderous intent. Meeting his gaze, Zephyrus lowered his head to sniff the crown of the King’s head, looking back without yielding, a provocative smile at the corners of his lips.
Scheming bug!
Ferran grit his teeth and turned back to the King. “My King, please look again. The changes in my honey chamber are, of course, meant only for the King to see.”
His eyes filled with tears, his tone aggrieved. “Originally, when a Bee-type brews honey, they aren’t supposed to be seen by other males.”
“Zephyrus, you’re being very rude.”
Su Lili blinked and looked closely again. Through the slightly open tip of the honey chamber, the deep red inner walls were contracting violently. At the very depths, a few specks of pale yellow seemed to be oozing out.
“Is that the ‘Honey Brewing’?” she asked curiously.
A flush rose to the corners of his eyes. Ferran gave a shy “mm-hmm.”
“It has already begun to condense.” He smiled with a bit of self-satisfaction. So what if these males use every trick in the book? The one the King needs most is still me.
He lowered his head again, looking at Su Lili with damp eyes. “This is my first honey.” He spoke seriously, “I wish to offer this to Your Majesty.”
“Thank you, Ferran,” Su Lili said solemnly. She hadn’t expected his brewing to start before she even had a chance to repair his spiritual sea. Thinking of this, she promised, “I will repair your spiritual sea as soon as possible.”
“Your Majesty, you are so kind,” Ferran replied with a syrupy tone, his words full of blissful joy, like a dog receiving a reward from its master.
He looked exceptionally well-behaved. Su Lili glanced at the system panel.
Good. Loyalty is still at two stars.
She rubbed the ring at the base of her finger, her eyes flickering. Even knowing they were bound by chains, wild dogs could not become house dogs. Blind tolerance and pampering would only stimulate a wild dog’s greed and ambition; they had to learn a lesson to understand obedience.
I’ll ignore him for now.
She turned around to face Zephyrus and continued discussing the training plan. The soft tips of her hair traced a semi-circle in the air, sweeping through the mesh of the combat suit and sliding into the half-open collar of Ferran’s bathrobe, tickling his V-line in clusters.
Ferran’s breathing suddenly became rapid, and a moist mist rose in his eyes.
“I want to try this.” Su Lili pointed at the long whip held by a Zerg in the video. The flexible whip flew up and down in the Zerg’s hand, snapping loudly like a group of dancing snakes, dazzling the eyes.
“An excellent choice. A long whip doesn’t require much strength; it mainly relies on clever force and flexible moves,” Zephyrus said with admiration in his eyes. “It suits you perfectly, Your Majesty. You chose very well.”
“You flatter me, Zephyrus.” Su Lili’s cheeks burned. Even though she knew the Zerg’s praise for the King was bottomless, being complimented by such a serious and steady man still made her feel shy.
“Your intelligence is unrivaled,” Zephyrus stated firmly, a string of praises pouring from his mouth as if he were reciting some universal truth.
Licking a sharp canine with his crimson tongue, the deliberately ignored Ferran felt dissatisfied. You were just looking at me a moment ago; are you abandoning me now?
A King who changed her mind so easily should be locked up—ideally, she should only be able to interact with him alone.
Resting his head on the King’s shoulder, Ferran took an inch and moved a mile, rubbing against the King’s neck, his tone lingering. “My King~ I can help you train, too.”
“Don’t touch me!”
The sudden intimacy gave Su Lili a jolt. In shock and fear, she lunged forward to dodge him. On Blue Star, it was common knowledge that an OMEGA’s gland was located at the back of the neck. Every OMEGA was told from a young age to protect their gland at all costs. As a top-tier OMEGA, the Association’s protection was airtight; her gland had never been touched by anyone.
She never knew that being touched there would feel like this. As the cool bite-guard slid over the gland, an indescribable itch spread from the back of her neck to her entire body. She felt as if she were soaking in warm water, her limbs turning soft and weak.
The strange, unfamiliar sensation was unsettling. Supporting herself on Zephyrus with one hand to keep her balance, she used her other hand to press down hard on the ring at the base of her finger.
Disobedient wild dogs should be taught a lesson.
The black chains covering his body suddenly tightened along with the metal ring. Ferran was bound and tumbled to the floor.
“My King—” he cried out piteously.
The belt he had intentionally tied loosely had come undone. His already loose bathrobe became even more disheveled as he rolled, his curly black hair scattered across his face and the floor. He looked like a dying sacrificial offering on an altar.
“Forgive me, My King, forgive me. Please… please show mercy.” He sobbed and begged for forgiveness, the tears at the corners of his eyes wetting his dark hair. “Please… please don’t loathe me.”
How pitiful. Su Lili looked down at the man struggling on the floor.
The Loyalty on the system panel hadn’t budged. Her gaze grew colder and colder, and she raised her foot and stepped down hard on him.
“Liar.”
“Zephyrus, take him out,” she said emotionlessly.
In the vast, eerie Sanctuary garden.
“Ferran, you were too offensive.” Zephyrus threw him to the ground, grabbing his neck and looking down at his pathetic state with dark eyes. “But thanks to you, I now know the King doesn’t like being touched on the neck. Did you think I couldn’t see that the King feels no love for you at all?”
Ferran coughed incessantly and asked back, “Who do you think… you are, to say such things to me?”
As the distance increased, the ring’s control over the chains weakened. The constricted chains gradually returned to normal, and he slowly regained his strength. He reached out to pry Zephyrus’s hand from his neck, while his other hand swung a fist.
Zephyrus raised his arm to block the punch. The two men were locked in a stalemate, secretly pitting their strength against each other.
“I have no special status, but what about you?” Zephyrus’s eyes were as dark as an abyss, a cold smile curling his lips. His words stabbed like knives. “The King already loathes you.”
“Ridiculous.” Ferran hissed darkly, his dark red eyes full of madness. Beneath the bite-guard, his mouth pulled into a silent grin. “The King still needs my ‘Honey Brewing.’ Besides me, who else can do it?”
Hearing this, Zephyrus dithered slightly. It was true—currently, only he could provide honey for the King. No matter how disrespectful he was, he was an irreplaceable necessity.
Zephyrus felt a pang of bitterness in his heart. He wished desperately that he were a Bee-type. Then, the person brewing honey for the King would be him.
Seeing Zephyrus’s darkened expression, Ferran curled his lips in satisfaction. Taking advantage of the distraction, he wrenched himself free, stood up, and pulled his bathrobe tight to cover the marks left by the chains. The malice in his eyes as he looked at Zephyrus was unconcealed.
“A bug like you who knows nothing but combat can be replaced at any time. How long do you think you can stay by the King’s side? The only one qualified to stay forever is me.”
With that, Ferran walked back toward the sleeping quarters without looking back, only pausing a short distance away to turn his head. He stood under a large tree, the dark, swaying shadows hiding his expression, leaving only his provocative voice.
“I forgot to tell you, the back of the King’s neck… it smells so good. Can someone like you even smell it?”
