The Movie Queen’s Charming Little Wife: Feigning Amnesia Online - Chapter 17
Chapter 17
Xue Luhe’s jacket had already slid down to her elbows; she tossed it casually onto a chair by the dining table. Underneath, she wore only a pure black wool tank top paired with wide-leg jeans. Her silhouette looked incredibly long, and her aura became even more overwhelming.
Her smooth, pale arms—resembling fresh lotus roots but with a hint of subtle muscle definition reached out and grabbed Lin Mo’s collar.
Lin Mo: “AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!”
She scrambled away, pushing her chair back and bolting for the exit, but she was yanked back by the collar and pulled firmly into an embrace. Lin Mo struggled frantically. “Waahhh! You pervert! I won’t eat! I won’t eat anymore, okay?!”
Xue Luhe reached around from behind, locking Lin Mo in a tight circle with both arms across her chest. Then, she lowered her head, leaning close to Lin Mo’s ear, her low voice and warm breath flooding in: “It’s too late to regret it now. Have you decided how you’re going to ‘eat’?”
“Eat”?
Lin Mo was an expert at eating. She had a sudden flash of inspiration. She grabbed the slender, white arm exposed in front of her, opened her mouth wide, and took a big “om-nom-nom” bite!
“Ah!”
Xue Luhe let out a rare, low cry of pain, and her arms reflexively loosened. Lin Mo seized the moment, ducked under Xue Luhe’s arm, sprinted out of the treacherous dining room, dove into a guest room, and slammed the door shut—bolting it from the inside!
“You asked me how I’d eat? Just like that! Tastes pretty good!”
Lin Mo’s sequence of movements was seamless. The whole thing took less than a minute. Xue Luhe hadn’t even reacted! By the time Xue Luhe checked the mark on her arm and reached the guest room door, Lin Mo was already safely locked away.
Xue Luhe stood outside the door. “You actually dared to bite me.”
Bolstered by the fact that the door was deadbolted from the inside, Lin Mo felt cocky. She shouted through the door: “You whipped me, you choked me! Compared to you, I’m an angel! It didn’t even bleed, right?”
Xue Luhe’s voice sounded a bit muffled through the wood, but it was still hauntingly beautiful. “It bled.”
Lin Mo was confused. She wasn’t a cruel person; she hadn’t bitten that hard. “Liar! You’re just trying to trick me into coming out! I don’t believe you!”
Xue Luhe fell silent. She looked down at her arm, at the perfectly neat, round row of tooth marks, and her lips couldn’t help but curl upward. This little pet really knows how to bite. And she’s not so easy to deceive anymore.
“I’m going to my event now,” Xue Luhe said, turning to leave.
The Trap
Lin Mo stayed in the guest room for a long time, her ear pressed against the door. Eventually, she heard the electronic chime of the villa’s front door lock. However, that only proved someone had opened the door; it didn’t prove Xue Luhe had actually left.
The guest room window faced the back garden, not the driveway, so she couldn’t see the cars. But shortly after, she heard an engine start. It sounded real enough.
Lin Mo napped for a while and flipped through a few books. Once she was bored to tears, she crept to the door and cautiously peeked through the gap at the bottom. It was nearly lunchtime. Surely Xue Luhe was gone by now; if she hadn’t arrived at her event, her manager would be having a heart attack.
Lin Mo swallowed hard, pressed the handle, and slowly opened the door, poking her head out like a turtle. The lobby was empty and silent. The messy breakfast had already been cleared away.
She walked out, limping slightly but moving much better now. She wandered around and eventually walked into the small bar area. The door was slightly ajar, glowing with the muted red, green, and gold lights typical of a lounge. Hearing no noise, she pushed the door open.
But… sitting on a barstool was a gorgeous woman in a tank top and wide-leg jeans!
Holding a cocktail as red as blood, the beauty turned to look at Lin Mo as the lights shifted. For a moment, Lin Mo stood frozen, thinking she was hallucinating. The lighting was too dim, and the person before her was too beautiful to be real.
The next second, Lin Mo slammed the door shut and bolted backward. “Sorry! My mistake! Bye!”
She retreated as her heart hammered. It felt like she had accidentally stumbled into a viper’s nest. But she couldn’t escape; she realized the door she had just closed was now locked from the outside.
As Lin Mo fumbled with the handle, she saw Xue Luhe’s shadow stretching across the floor, coming closer. Lin Mo babbled incoherently: “You, you, you… stay back! Heaven and earth, spirits hear my command… why won’t this door open?!”
A ghostly voice whispered right in her ear: “Because I locked it with my phone. I sent a deadbolt command.”
Lin Mo turned around slowly, looking at Xue Luhe. “I hate high-tech.”
Xue Luhe laughed. “Haha! I love high-tech.” She draped an arm over Lin Mo’s shoulder, pulling her toward the bar. “An excellent hunter knows how to wait for their prey.”
Fairness
Lin Mo was fuming. She was just thirsty and looking for water; how did she get caught again? And who was in the car that drove away earlier? A ghost? This villa was turning into a haunted house.
Xue Luhe raised her arm and showed Lin Mo the bite mark. “You bit me. Now I have to bite back.”
Lin Mo gave a sarcastic laugh. “If a dog bites you, you bite the dog back?”
Xue Luhe snorted. “I’ve never seen someone so eager to call themselves a dog.”
“Dogs are humanity’s best friends,” Lin Mo muttered, omitting the second half of the thought: And humans like you are worse than dogs.
Xue Luhe grabbed Lin Mo’s arm. Having given up on struggling, Lin Mo let her pull her arm over and push up the sleeve, revealing her pale skin. Compared to Xue Luhe’s lean, muscular arm, Lin Mo’s arm looked softer and a bit more “squishy.”
Lin Mo noticed Xue Luhe’s hands were larger than hers, with long, elegant fingers and neatly trimmed, unpainted nails. She remembered reading online that “top” lesbians often keep their nails short and simple, while “bottoms” might wear manicures.
Xue Luhe brought Lin Mo’s arm to her lips. She opened her mouth and bit down.
“Nnh…”
The sharp pain Lin Mo expected didn’t come. Instead, it was a lingering, tingling sensation that made her muscles tense up. It wasn’t painful; it was… stimulating? Lin Mo was horrified. She’s a psycho, but what about me? Why does this feel good? Am I the one who’s sick?!
Xue Luhe finished the bite and lightly brushed her lips against the skin before looking up. Lin Mo looked at her arm; there was a ring of tooth marks, but around them was a distinct circle of red lipstick.
Lin Mo’s face turned bright red, her ears burning. The mark looked… extremely suggestive. It looked like the kind of mark left after some “vigorous activities.”
Xue Luhe smiled with satisfaction. “Now it’s fair.”
“Fair?” Lin Mo snapped back, trying to hide her embarrassment. “It’s only fair if I get to whip you and choke you until you pass out.”
Xue Luhe: “…”
Unable to argue with that logic, she grew annoyed, grabbed Lin Mo’s arm again, and took a much harder bite right next to the first one. This time it actually stung. “AHH! Stop it!”
Lin Mo shook her arm out and glared. “It’s the truth! Why are you so sensitive for a public figure?”
Xue Luhe took a deep breath. “The master bedroom or the basement. Pick one.”
Lin Mo immediately switched gears, flashing a bright smile. “Neither! I’m sure the beautiful, elegant, and wise Movie Queen Xue wouldn’t hold a grudge against a small fry like me, right? Hehe!”
Xue Luhe stared at her. “I don’t think you’re a small fry. You’re a… little brat.”
Lin Mo stuck her tongue out. “I’m thirsty. Where’s the water?”
Xue Luhe pointed to a row of liquor bottles. “What flavor do you want? I’ll mix a drink for you.”
“You’re being this nice? What’s the catch?”
Xue Luhe gave a cold laugh. “The catch is I’m going to poison you, move you to the garden, and use you as a scarecrow so you can only talk to sparrows. Let’s see if your mouth is still annoying then!”
“Then I’ll be an annoying ‘bird brat.’ And what are you? A bird brain?”
Xue Luhe: “…” I want a divorce.
