- The Master Possessed An Innate Charm, Irresistibly Seducing His Young Disciple
- Chapter 4 - Give This Bastard a Good Beating!
Qiu Lu was originally an outer disciple, but because he was close friends with the original Li Sichen, he used that connection to act as if he owned the place, riding on Li Sichen’s status. He was a sloppy individual whose standard disciple uniform always looked wrinkled and disheveled. Not only was he unkempt, but he was also prone to wild, delusional fantasies. His association with the original Li Sichen was truly a case of birds of a feather flocking together.
The only difference was that the original Li Sichen was an expert at masking his true self, maintaining one persona in public and a completely different one in private.
As soon as the door opened, Qiu Lu began to chatter incessantly, failing to notice the subtle shift in Li Sichen’s expression.
“I thought you would wait until dawn to return, Senior Brother, but I just saw you walk in. Why are you back so early today? Did the Pure Immortal Zen master fail to satisfy you tonight?”
Li Sichen barely managed to tolerate the initial babble, but when that last sentence hit his ears, his brow furrowed. He glared at Qiu Lu with ill intent. “Do you have a death wish?”
Qiu Lu did not expect such a sharp response. Stunned into silence, he stared blankly at Li Sichen.
Li Sichen shifted his gaze away in disgust and spoke flatly. “Go back for now. I need to think about that matter again.”
Qiu Lu scratched his head. “But did we not agree on this already? Many people in the sect already know about it. All that is left is for us to hand the evidence to the Sect Leader. Why are you hesitating now, Senior Brother? Do not forget what you promised me! Once the task is done, you said I could use the Immortal for two days! Do not go back on your word now!”
Listening to Qiu Lu insult Yu Huaixin in such a humiliating manner, no amount of logic could suppress Li Sichen’s urge to kill him. Before he could even decide how to react, his fist had already swung out with full force!
Qiu Lu was instantly knocked to the ground. The right side of his face turned a deep, bruised color, and two of his teeth were knocked loose. He never expected his usually close friend to suddenly turn on him, let alone with such violence!
Tears began to stream down his face. Clutching his mangled cheek, he looked at Li Sichen with a face full of grievance. “Senior Brother! Why did you hit me? This is what we agreed on! If you want to change your mind, you do not have to be so cruel! It hurts so much!”
Looking at Qiu Lu in this pathetic state, Li Sichen reflected on the punch he had just delivered. It felt incredibly satisfying. He looked down at the wretched figure on the floor and let out a sinister smile. The sound of him cracking his knuckles was clear and sharp.
Li Sichen approached step by step, while Qiu Lu retreated inch by inch, his face twisted in terror. “Senior Brother, what are you doing? Senior Brother, stay calm! Calm down! I will not talk anymore! I will shut up! Do not, Ah!”
Happy times are always brief. Li Sichen felt refreshed after beating Qiu Lu. Looking at the colorful, bruised creature in the corner, he delivered a swift kick to send him out the door and then slammed it shut.
Without wasting a second, Li Sichen began a frantic search for any evidence that could prove Yu Huaixin’s true identity, including personal garments, observation logs, and collected images. Looking at these deeply private items, Li Sichen felt an overwhelming sense of nausea.
The original owner who collected these things was undoubtedly a complete pervert. Li Sichen did not want to look at them for another second and burned them all to ashes in an instant.
But that was not enough. He searched the room for any other traces of Yu Huaixin and destroyed them all. The original owner was a deviant, but Li Sichen was not, and he had no such hobbies.
By the time he finished, the sky was beginning to brighten. After a day of chaos, he was truly exhausted. He lay down on the bed fully clothed to rest and save his energy for the next day.
He did not know that outside the window, a pale gold crane flapped its wings and flew into the distance.
The Next Day
Before the sun was fully up, there was a knock at Li Sichen’s door. He had only slept for about an hour and was incredibly drowsy. It took a long time for him to regain his senses. He smoothed out his light blue disciple uniform, splashed his face with cold water, and opened the door.
Two disciples stood there, dressed neatly and acting with formal decorum. He asked if something was wrong.
“The Sect Leader requests your presence,” a disciple replied.
Li Sichen was now fully awake. Although he had not handed over the evidence like the original owner, the entire sect was already buzzing with rumors about Yu Huaixin’s identity. The Sect Leader’s sudden, urgent summons at this hour made it difficult not to worry.
But since things had come to this, he could not refuse. The matter was of great importance, and it was better to resolve it sooner rather than later. “Lead the way.”
When Li Sichen arrived, he found that Yu Huaixin was also present. Upon seeing him, Li Sichen instinctively avoided his gaze, and his ears turned an unnatural shade of red.
Today, Yu Huaixin wore a celestial robe of white and pink, resembling a lotus bud about to bloom. The pink sash around his waist emphasized his slender figure, drawing the eye. His silver hair was combed back and held by a grey headpiece and a silver hairpin, with the ribbons falling naturally. He looked incredibly gentle.
When Yu Huaixin’s gaze fell upon him, he offered a warm, familiar smile. “Did you sleep well last night?”
It was a simple, caring question, but it made Li Sichen feel even more guilty. Although his primary intention had been to relieve Yu Huaixin’s pain, describing it that way felt even more unsavory. Furthermore, the poison in Yu Huaixin’s body had been administered by the original owner of this body.
“I slept well. I thank my Master for his concern.”
Yu Huaixin nodded with a smile and said nothing more. With a nervous heart, Li Sichen followed what he had learned from his memories and performed a formal bow to both men. “Disciple Li Sichen pays his respects to the Sect Leader and my Master.”
“Rise,” the Sect Leader said in a somewhat indifferent tone.
Li Sichen observed that the Sect Leader was a serious man in deep green robes. He appeared majestic with a powerful aura, looking quite difficult to approach. However, Li Sichen knew this was just a facade. The real Sect Leader was heartless and cruel, driven entirely by greed. Otherwise, he would not have ordered Yu Huaixin to be imprisoned upon learning his identity, ignoring their past friendship and watching as Yu Huaixin’s pride was broken inch by inch.
As someone from a civilized society, Li Sichen was not used to a world where life was treated as cheaply as grass. He found it difficult to imagine killing someone, but for Yu Huaixin’s sake, he could try to convince himself. After all, Yu Huaixin’s life was far more precious than these demons driven by desire. If the Sect Leader decided to follow the same path as in the original story, Li Sichen would stop him at any cost.
“The rumors circulating in the sect recently are of grave importance. If allowed to continue, they will surely cause chaos. Therefore, I have called you both here today to ask: are these rumors true?”
As the direct victim of these rumors, Yu Huaixin appeared quite calm. He turned to Li Sichen with a smile. “Xiao Chen, do you believe these rumors?”
Li Sichen did not expect Yu Huaixin to ask him this question. He wondered if Yu Huaixin already suspected him.
