- The Master Possessed An Innate Charm, Irresistibly Seducing His Young Disciple
- Chapter 15 - The Ghost of Luofu Village
The wedding night candles flickered as two hearts resonated. A marriage contract was forged, binding a couple for a lifetime.
Two strands of different colored hair became entangled during their struggle. A sudden jolt caused a sharp pain in Li Sichen’s scalp, but it served to restore a fragment of his sanity. He looked down to see Yu Huaixin’s eyes, clouded with desire, gazing back at him in a daze. Yu Huaixin’s long, snow white lashes trembled slightly, and his cheeks were flushed a deep red as if he were intoxicated.
As Yu Huaixin slumped against him, Li Sichen’s mind raced with turmoil. He clenched his fists with all his might, struggling to regulate his breathing while trying to figure out how to escape. Until this moment, Li Sichen had never imagined he could be controlled by another’s will to perform such involuntary acts.
Enough. They could not go a single step further. They absolutely could not.
Li Sichen pushed Yu Huaixin away without hesitation. His movements were swift and decisive, leaving no room for lingering contact. However, once the distance was created, it was obvious that both of his arms were shaking. His breath came in ragged, trembling hitches.
To be honest, it would be a lie to say Li Sichen did not want Yu Huaixin. He craved him so much that he almost wished this were all a dream. In a dream, he could indulge himself recklessly with less guilt. But he knew he could not do it.
“Yu Huaixin, Master!” After pushing him away, Li Sichen still felt the lingering effects of the wicked desire. To maintain his clarity, he grabbed a fallen golden hairpin and stabbed it hard into his own thigh. The sharp pain finally cleared his head.
He moved quickly to Yu Huaixin’s side, picking up his own discarded robes to wrap around the other man’s body. The night wind was chilly. Yu Huaixin was covered in sweat, and if the cold wind hit him now, he would surely fall ill.
“I am sorry,” Li Sichen said, speaking each word clearly as he looked into Yu Huaixin’s vacant eyes. He had promised to protect him and keep him from harm, yet he had already broken that promise.
“Oh? You are quite impressive, little brother. To think you could recover your senses so quickly. Anyone else would still be lost in the throes of pleasure right now.”
The woman’s voice drifted from nearby. “Why bother? They say ignorance is bliss. Would it not be better to weave a beautiful dream with your loved one tonight and experience the ultimate joys of this world? What is the point of being awake in this dull world?”
Hearing her voice, Li Sichen turned his sharp gaze toward her. His eyes burned with undeniable rage. “Who are you? What exactly do you want?!”
The woman smiled, playing with a small red bottle in her hand. She spoke at a leisurely pace. “Me? Hmm, I am the Ghost of Luofu Village, Wu Minye.”
“So you are the Ghost of Luofu Village? You killed everyone in that village?!”
Li Sichen was genuinely stunned. The ghost he had planned to capture with such caution and preparation was standing right in front of him.
Wu Minye gave a contemptuous laugh. “What is the matter? Is the little brother afraid? Or do you think a mere woman like me is incapable of such things?”
“Why did you kill them?”
“Why? Let me think. Oh, I remember now. They personally pushed me into the Hall of Yama and turned me into a ghost. I found the Hall of Yama quite interesting, so I dragged them down to experience it for themselves. I am sure they are thanking me over there right now. Little brother, would you like to experience it too? It really is quite fun.”
Li Sichen ignored her nonsense. Seeing Yu Huaixin’s shoulders tremble occasionally, his heart ached. He pulled Yu Huaixin into a tight embrace, using his own body as a protective cloak.
“You really do love him.”
Li Sichen thought he might be hallucinating because he heard a trace of undisguised envy in Wu Minye’s tone.
“You would rather hurt yourself and endure such pain than harm him. You even care for him so tenderly now. Does he even know how you feel?”
Li Sichen wanted to curse at her, but considering he might not be able to defeat her in a fight, he remained silent. He focused entirely on comforting Yu Huaixin while trying to devise a plan for their escape.
Wu Minye continued, “I truly want to know the answer to that. Since you are both going to die anyway, and the night is still long, I do not mind a little interlude. If your lives were truly on the line, how far would you go for each other? I bet you are interested in that answer too, little brother.”
As she finished speaking, Wu Minye waved her red sleeve. A thick white mist instantly rose before Li Sichen’s eyes. When the mist cleared, an entirely different scene unfolded.
Li Sichen felt exhausted, as if he had been beaten from head to toe. He staggered to his feet, shaking his dizzy head and struggling to open his eyes. Finally, he saw his surroundings.
Under the night sky, countless people holding torches surrounded him. He stood in the middle of the crowd, battered, bloody, and completely alone.
“Do you have no sense of your own status? How dare someone like you think you could marry a girl from our Wu family? You overstep your bounds!”
“Exactly! Look at yourself in a mirror! Our Wu family girl is destined for the son of the village chief. You? What are you? I spit on you!”
Faced with their jeers and insults, Li Sichen felt confused. He did not understand the situation, but hearing such humiliation made his heart feel strangely heavy.
“Leaving this brat alive is nothing but trouble. Why don’t we”
The crowd’s eyes grew predatory. Li Sichen instinctively took a step back, sensing what they intended to do to him.
Meanwhile, in another place, Yu Huaixin was dressed in a vibrant red bridal gown. He looked into a mirror that showed a male reflection, but the woman beside him was saying, “Minmin is finally a grown girl. Mother has been waiting for this day.”
“I” Yu Huaixin opened his mouth but found he could not utter a single word. He was like a puppet being moved at will.
Happiness, joy, hesitation, and worry, a flood of emotions that did not belong to him surged into his heart. Why was this happening?
“The auspicious hour has arrived! Let the newlyweds perform the ceremony!”
