The Mad/Beautiful Movie Queen Heard My Inner Voice After Losing Her Memory - Chapter 17
Chapter 17
Yu Guiyao realized the situation a beat too late.
Was the phone leaking sound? Did Fu Wenchen hear everything Lin Xiao just said?!
On the other end of the line, Lin Xiao was still rambling: “Anyway, just listen to me. It’s best to ‘cook the raw rice into a meal’ (get it done)! Our Wenchen has waited for the person she loves for so many years without success; she’s pitifully lonely. She might as well have a sweet little puppy like you.”
Yu Guiyao: “Huh?”
Cook the raw rice into a meal? Sweet little puppy?
What kind of talk was this! If Fu Wenchen heard this, her job would be as good as gone!
Yu Guiyao frantically scanned Fu Wenchen’s expression while whispering to Lin Xiao: “You’ve got it all wrong. The Movie Queen didn’t stay at my house last night…”
“Really? But that official announcement photo…”
“I can’t talk now, I’m busy!” Before Lin Xiao could finish, she hung up the phone.
Fortunately, Fu Wenchen showed no reaction, seemingly having missed the voice on the other end. She might have only heard the first part, which would explain why she had said those comforting words earlier.
What a wonderful person, Yu Guiyao thought. She hurried to explain: “My best friend was just joking. we joke around like that all the time…”
However, she didn’t expect Fu Wenchen to lean against the railing, watching her nervous, blushing face with a soft laugh. “Your friend was joking, but I wasn’t. I actually really like you. If you have a good impression of me, we could try—try making the ‘fake act’ real? Or maybe ‘cooking the raw rice into a meal’?”
“After all, you really are like a sweet little puppy, and you happen to be exactly my type.”
Hearing this, Yu Guiyao’s face turned scarlet, and she froze on the spot.
She heard everything! And she said she likes me? Cooking the raw rice?!
The Movie Queen must be teasing her, right?!
“I’m not teasing you. I’m serious.”
It was as if Fu Wenchen could hear her inner thoughts. Her gaze was incredibly sincere as she took a step forward, clutching the pajamas in her arms, slowly closing the distance between them…
Yu Guiyao instinctively took a step back in shock. She knew it was impossible for the woman to hear her heart, but she was still stunned and bewildered. After all, why would a grand Movie Queen like Fu Wenchen be interested in an ordinary person like her, even suggesting they make their fake relationship real?
They hadn’t even known each other for twenty-four hours…
But in that moment, as the woman approached, her heart rate accelerated uncontrollably, and she swallowed hard.
She felt… a little moved.
Even though they had just met, and even though the system claimed Fu Wenchen was a serial killer and a villain needing reform, she still felt a shameful spark of attraction. It was her beauty, her wealth—those were the most realistic factors. Aside from that, she couldn’t find a logical reason to fall for Fu Wenchen so quickly.
Or perhaps it was because the woman was so pitiful, yet treated others with such sincerity…
Yu Guiyao’s mind was a mess. Hearing these thoughts, Fu Wenchen’s lips curled into a faint smile. She suddenly reached out and grabbed Yu Guiyao’s collar, tilting her head up slightly to look at her, feigning a hint of annoyance: “What, are you unwilling?”
“How could that be? I just think we only just met, and I’m not a match for you at all. I’m just a fisherman from a village, covered in the smell of fish…”
Yu Guiyao’s words came to a jarring halt because Fu Wenchen suddenly yanked her collar, stood on her tiptoes, and tilted her head to kiss her…
No, she didn’t quite kiss her. Their lips were a mere millimeter apart. Their hot breaths intertwined, scorching their cheeks. Yu Guiyao looked into the woman’s beautiful, shimmering eyes. Her heart felt like it was about to explode. She instinctively started to turn her head away.
But Fu Wenchen reached out and pinched her chin. The clothes she was holding fell to the floor as her other hand hooked around Yu Guiyao’s neck. She whispered: “Do you think I care about your status? You saved my life, and you’re so good to me. I told you before—I want to find someone who treats me well, someone I actually like…”
Her eyes seemed full of affection, like a predator trapping its prey, suppressing the madness in her heart to speak gently:
“I think that person is you. Because when you hold me, my heart beats fast. When you look at me, I feel a spark. We may have just met, but in today’s society, who can say for sure how feelings work?”
“It doesn’t hurt to try, does it?”
As she spoke, her brows furrowed slightly. The light in her eyes seemed to condense into tears, and a faint flush spread across her snowy skin. Even the beauty mark at the corner of her eye added a sense of heartbreaking fragility.
Yu Guiyao had never thought someone could be this beautiful—like a woman from a painting, almost surreal, a masterpiece of nature where every stroke was perfect.
But why would an unreachable Movie Queen from the TV be here, confessing to her? Besides, she had been good to her from the start because of the money, just like most people who craved her status and wealth. How could she be worthy of her?
Having reached this conclusion, Yu Guiyao prepared to refuse, speaking very tactfully: “The person you’re looking for is someone whose kindness is pure. But I’m not—I did it for the money…”
“Furthermore, you have someone you like, and I… I have someone I like too.”
“Stop right there.”
For some reason, Fu Wenchen seemed angry. Her eyes flared with indignation as she snapped: “I already told you the person I liked didn’t like me back, so I gave up. As for you, does this person you like even exist? If not, what’s wrong with trying?”
“Also, I know you did so much for me for the money. So what? I just happen to really like you.”
“How about this? I’ll pay you 500,000 yuan a month. Will you try being with me?!” By the end, she seemed to be gritting her teeth, her eyes brimming with tears as she stared intently. Her hot breath fanned against Yu Guiyao’s face, tempting her and making her resolve waver.
They were inches apart. Fu Wenchen’s beautiful face was dizzying. Her fingers held Yu Guiyao’s chin, forcing her to look at her and answer.
Yu Guiyao’s throat was dry. She looked calm on the outside, but her mind was in an absolute uproar.
500,000! 500,000! Where else could she find such a deal? And she did like Fu Wenchen quite a bit. Only a fool would refuse such an enticing offer!
Hearing this, a hint of joy appeared in Fu Wenchen’s eyes. Her lips curled slightly as she said: “Then let’s do this. Kiss me. If you don’t feel anything, I won’t force you…”
Yu Guiyao: “!!!”
“How could I?”
Her gaze wavered, but Fu Wenchen pressed closer. Both her arms were now hooked around Yu Guiyao’s neck. She closed her eyes, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed her.
Their hot breaths merged. The woman’s lips were thin and beautifully shaped, like the curve of a fish tail, tinted like rouge. Yu Guiyao’s lips were a pale pink, shaped like flower petals.
The moment their lips met, Yu Guiyao didn’t pull away. She felt her own thunderous heartbeat and the softness on her lips, sending a jolt of numbness down her spine.
Her breathing grew heavy. Fu Wenchen’s long lashes fluttered as she gently took Yu Guiyao’s lips into her own, sucking slowly. A tingling, moist sensation spread from her lips—they were as soft as cotton. The woman was testing her like a kitten, pecking at her lips, her tongue occasionally sweeping across them with caution, as if afraid of being pushed away.
The sound of the intimate kiss made Yu Guiyao clench her fists, the blue veins on the back of her hands becoming prominent.
“Mmm…” Fu Wenchen made a soft sound, her entire body going limp in Yu Guiyao’s arms, her hands clinging tightly to her neck.
Yu Guiyao hadn’t even done anything, yet the other woman’s legs were shaking. Fu Wenchen opened her eyes, which were filled with tears, and said softly: “I can’t stand anymore…”
“I haven’t even kissed you back yet…” Yu Guiyao’s face was flushed. Seeing the woman looking so disheveled and vulnerable—not at all like her cold public persona—it felt like she was being bullied.
But could she really be that sensitive? Yu Guiyao hadn’t even moved; it was just the woman’s one-sided pecking…
In that moment, Yu Guiyao couldn’t help but reach out and wrap her arms around the woman’s waist. It was so thin and soft, trembling slightly under her touch.
“Then kiss me…” Fu Wenchen’s breathing was chaotic. She looked up at her, her pink tongue licking her lips in a clear invitation.
Yu Guiyao felt like her entire body was about to ignite. She quickly turned her head away, stammering nervously: “I… I’ll go brush my teeth first!”
“Sure, let’s go together.” Surprisingly, Fu Wenchen wasn’t angry. She gently stroked the mole on the back of Yu Guiyao’s neck, watching her shy reaction with a smile. “Are you brushing your teeth because you want to… French kiss me?”
Yu Guiyao: “!!!”
Fre… French kiss?!
Her neck turned deep red, but Fu Wenchen pressed closer, her fingertips tracing the back of her neck as she whispered into her ear: “Do you know how? If not, I can teach you…”
