The Lost Omega Heiress is Pregnant with My Child - Chapter 20.2
What a joke, the Shen family was an absolute powerhouse in the wealthy circles of the Special Zone. Apart from the Ji family, who dealt in arms, and the Presidential Palace, they had almost no rivals.
She, Shen Tingxue, though treading on thin ice under her father’s dominance, was still an authoritative figure in the outside world.
But back then, if Shi Anzhi wasn’t around, she would feel terrified, cry for a long time, and become incredibly fragile.
Did Shi Anzhi like that version of her? That wasn’t the real her at all.
And did she even like Shi Anzhi?
Was it Shen Tingxue who liked Shi Anzhi, or was it Nian Xue who…
As her thoughts churned, the door to the hospital room was pushed open.
Two people walked in.
At the front was her father, Shen Hong, with an unmistakable weariness between his brows. Following him was her mother, Yan Ni.
This was her first meeting with her parents since regaining her memories.
“Tingxue,” Shen Hong spoke first. “How are you feeling? The doctor said all your metrics are trending toward normal.”
“Don’t worry, Father, I’m not dead yet.”
Shen Tingxue sat up in the medical pod. She didn’t call him “Dad,” opting instead for the distant term “Father.”
Yan Ni hurried forward, trying to grasp her hand, but Shen Tingxue subtly avoided it.
“What kind of talk is that, child!”
Yan Ni’s eyes reddened, habitually playing the fragile role in front of Shen Hong. “Do you have any idea how worried your father and I have been these past two months you were missing? We practically turned the entire empire upside down searching for you.”
“For your sake, your father even went to the Ji family. Do you know how much disdain Ji Tianheng showed him?”
Shen Tingxue lifted her eyes. “Is that so? Rather than me, Mother seems more concerned about the marriage alliance with the Governor’s Mansion.”
Yan Ni’s expression turned ugly.
Shen Hong frowned and stepped forward. “Enough. Tingxue has just recovered from a serious illness. There’s no need for this.”
He looked at Shen Tingxue. “The doctor said your body hasn’t suffered irreversible damage. The injected toxins can be cleared, and your pheromone levels are stable.”
He paused for a moment before asking the most pressing question: “Is the necklace still there?”
Shen Tingxue sneered inwardly.
Her parents didn’t care how she had narrowly escaped death from the pursuit, whether she was afraid or in pain. They only cared whether their tool remained intact.
Whether the necklace symbolizing power was still safe.
“It’s here.”
Shen Tingxue took out the pearl necklace from her pocket, the one Shi Anzhi had exchanged for with his life.
The moment they saw the necklace, Shen Hong and Yan Ni breathed a sigh of relief.
“Good, that’s good.”
Yan Ni murmured to herself.
“This incident was my carelessness,” Shen Hong’s tone was uncharacteristically gentle. “I didn’t expect the Li family to dare target you directly, and I never imagined there was a traitor in our household.”
“I’ve already disposed of some useless trash.”
Shen Tingxue felt exhausted. That bodyguard was merely a scapegoat; there were far more than just the Li family who wanted her dead.
Countless threats were closing in on her. She had to quickly return to her former state. She remembered her ambitions she needed to possess power of her own, not remain an object to be disposed of at her parents’ whim.
For so many years, she had painstakingly built her foundations.
How strange that at a time like this, Shi Anzhi’s face surfaced in her mind again.
There was no going back to being Nian Xue. The first step to gaining power was to leverage strength against strength, using her identity as the sole daughter of the Shen family to secure her place at the table.
Shen Hong: “I’ve been negotiating with the Governor. He said as long as you’re not seriously injured, the wedding can proceed as scheduled.”
Shen Tingxue rubbed her temples. She didn’t want to waste words with her parents and simply said what they wanted to hear: “I will marry the Governor’s son.”
“But…” she shifted her tone, “there are some matters you need not interfere with.”
“For instance, I’d like to bring a pet home. Father, Mother, you don’t mind, do you?”
Shen Hong frowned. He had already heard from his subordinates that when Shen Tingxue appeared at the border hospital, she was accompanied by an Alpha.
“I’ve reviewed her records. That Alpha is an orphan from District R, born with a gland disability. Tingxue, you’ve suffered outside and lost your clarity for a moment.”
“Someone like that you can play around, but remember who you are. Never take it seriously.”
Shen Tingxue lowered her gaze. “I understand, Father.”
“As long as you know your limits.” Shen Hong said no more. In his view, as long as it didn’t affect the marriage alliance with the Governor’s mansion, everything was tolerable.

Shen Tingxue returned to the Shen residence, which she had left nearly three months ago.
The Special Zone had no acid rain; the sky was forever the blue processed by atmospheric purification systems. The air in the Shen home was perpetually temperature-controlled, with immaculate white marble floors. Outside the window lay a meticulously manicured garden, and the intelligent robotic butler moved as silently as a ghost.
Shen Tingxue sat at her desk, watching surveillance footage on the holographic screen before her.
In the recording, Shi Anzhi lay on a hospital bed, receiving an IV drip, her expression fragile and her figure lonely.
Watching this, Shen Tingxue unconsciously clenched her hand.
Someone reported that Shi Anzhi had barely eaten anything these past two days. She had made only one outgoing call, which Shen Tingxue had monitored in its entirety.
Shi Anzhi had called to ask Xiao Qu how Bobo was doing.
Xiao Qu said the puppy was fine, but her fruit shop had been destroyed. Someone in the black market had placed a hefty bounty on her head, and the Lin family next door had temporarily moved out of the alley to avoid trouble.
Xiao Qu asked, “Sister Anzhi, what should we do now? Are you not coming back?”
“Bobo misses you a lot.”
Shi Anzhi remained silent for a long time before finally hanging up without saying a word.
Shen Tingxue listened to the recording over and over again, trying to decipher Shi Anzhi’s emotions.
“What are you thinking? You followed me here, lost everything, do you regret it?”
A holographic screen popped up with a new message.
[Miss, Shi Anzhi wants to see you. She said if we stop her again, she will force her way in and come to the Shen residence to find you.]
Shen Tingxue replied, “Bring her to the Shen residence to see me.”
Two hours later.
Shi Anzhi was brought to the Shen family’s estate.
She was wearing a hospital gown, her face pale and weak from days without sleep. As she stepped into the opulent, suffocatingly luxurious study, she felt a sense of disorientation when she saw the indifferent Omega.
She had come to ask her lover if she still wanted her.
“Nian Xue…”
Shi Anzhi instinctively called out the name that belonged only to them.
Shen Tingxue seemed to smile faintly. “Who are you calling?”
Shi Anzhi felt as if something had stabbed her heart. She averted her gaze.
With great difficulty, she forced out a different form of address from her throat. “Miss Shen.”
Shen Tingxue said coldly, “Shi Anzhi, I hope you understand Nian Xue never existed. She was just an illusion during my illness.”
Shi Anzhi stared at her, unable to utter a single word.
Shen Tingxue watched the undisguised pain on the Alpha’s face, unsure of what she felt inside.
A little hurt and a little satisfaction?
She, Shen Tingxue, truly was a cold and heartless monster. This was who she really was.
She reached out her finger, just as she had in District R, and gently brushed Shi Anzhi’s lips, her tone tinged with ambiguity. “Back in the slums, you were so good to me, taking care of me in every way.”
Her fingertip slowly trailed down, resting on Shi Anzhi’s chin. “I know you like my body.”
She smiled flirtatiously. “After all, no Alpha can resist an Omega who takes the initiative.”
Shi Anzhi felt the tingling sensation on her face, her heart aching unbearably. What did Nian Xue mean by this?
The question she hadn’t yet asked seemed no longer necessary.
Shen Tingxue picked up a contract that had been prepared long ago and handed it to Shi Anzhi. “You got hurt for me and helped me through my heat. I’m grateful to you.”
She pointed at the agreement. “Stay. I can give you whatever you want money, status, a stable life.”
“You can open as many fruit shops as you want. Consider it my compensation to you.”
Shi Anzhi stood frozen for a long time. She blinked, unable to believe what she was hearing.
She took the contract and looked at it. At the top, four words were clearly printed:
[Service Agreement]
Her gaze moved downward, her eyes stinging.
Party A: Shen Tingxue
Party B: Shi Anzhi
Agreement Content:
Party B shall regularly provide pheromone soothing to Party A and perform necessary physiological services when required by Party A to alleviate the aftereffects of Party A’s temporary mark.
In return, Party A shall provide Party B with the highest standard of accommodation, meals, and medical care, along with a monthly remuneration of 20 million credits.
This agreement does not constitute any form of partnership. The relationship between Party A and Party B is strictly that of employer and service provider.
The second party shall not harbor any improper thoughts towards the first party and shall not interfere with the first party’s private life, including but not limited to future marriage matters.
Each clause felt like a resounding slap, striking Shi Anzhi squarely across the face.
What a splendid kept-woman agreement.
After a long silence, Shi Anzhi finally found her voice again. “Nian Xue, ‘together forever’, those were your own words.”
She held the agreement and spoke coldly, “Is this how we stay together forever?”
She stubbornly insisted on using that name that belonged only to them.
Hearing the name Nian Xue, Shen Tingxue broke out in goosebumps, she truly despised that name.
After all, it was only Nian Xue that Shi Anzhi loved, wasn’t it?
“Forever?”
Feeling stung, she decided to strike back first, “Shi Anzhi, are you still unwell?”
“You’re a disabled Alpha who doesn’t even have pheromones. Isn’t it ridiculous for you to say such things to me?”
Something inside Shi Anzhi crumbled. The face before her seemed so unfamiliar, yet wasn’t it Nian Xue who had once insisted she wasn’t a cripple?
Had it all been nothing but her own delusion from start to finish?
Yes, Shen Tingxue was the young lady of the Shen family, a proud daughter of heaven soon to be married into the governor’s family. Shi Anzhi was just an orphan struggling to survive in the gutters.
Shi Anzhi stood silently for a long time. Though her body had recovered after treatment, she now felt a piercing pain in her heart.
She gazed out the window, wondering how she had ended up in this world that didn’t belong to her.
But she had nothing left.
She remained silent for a long time, contemplating what choice she should make.
Did she love the person before her?
It seemed she did otherwise, why would her heart ache so much now?
Seeing her prolonged silence, Shen Tingxue murmured softly, “Are you going to break our vow?”
Aren’t you the one who broke the vow?
Shi Anzhi thought with clarity. When pain reached its peak, all that remained was to sink into despair. When she finally spoke, her voice was filled with hopelessness.
“I don’t need your pity.”
She reached out and, right in front of Shen Tingxue, slowly tore the agreement into pieces.
Snow-white shreds of paper fluttered down from between her fingers.
She lifted her head, her pupils pale and gray. “I want you to know, if I stay, it will only be because I love you, not for the money.”
