The Lost Omega Heiress is Pregnant with My Child - Chapter 18
“This is a gift from my beloved.”
On Wednesday night, Shi Anzhi and Nian Xue set out under the cover of darkness. They had already devised a plan and would act separately.
Shi Anzhi drove toward the club, the protective talisman swaying incessantly along the way. She tried her best to calm her heart.
Deep down, she had a certain self-destructive tendency.
Born into misfortune and abandoned, she had spent countless days struggling on the brink of death.
Humiliated, yet clinging to life years ago, when she resolved to kill the local crime boss, she had no idea what her chances of success were. Yet she hadn’t been nervous then, thinking that if she couldn’t win, dying like that would be fine too.
But she had won. She survived.
She opened a fruit shop, adopted a dog, and now, she even had someone she loved.
So this time, she wasn’t as calm as before. She had something to protect, she could only succeed.
The car arrived at the Blaze Club. Its neon lights were the brightest source of illumination in District R, where countless elites, wealthy merchants, and desperados squandered their money. What a den of iniquity.
Ding Sha’s office was on the upper floors of the club.
Shi Anzhi parked the car and injected herself with a drug. She waited for the effects to kick in, then checked the time.
It was 8:28 PM. Nian Xue should be arriving soon.
While Shi Anzhi was driving to the club, Nian Xue was rushing toward the power grid of District R.
At 9:30 PM sharp, Nian Xue used a high-frequency cutter to sever the power line leading to the back alley of the Blaze Club.
Instantly, the entire club plunged into darkness. A piercing alarm blared, and panicked screams erupted from the guests.
Shi Anzhi quickly got out of the car, donned a gas mask, and slipped into the club through a side entrance. She ignited a specially designed smoke bomb and tossed it into the main ventilation duct of the club. In an instant, thick smoke spread through the ventilation system, filling every corner of the club.
“Damn it, what’s going on? Where’s security?”
“Hurry up and turn on the backup power!”
Amid the chaos, someone shouted.
“Where’s the boss? Report to him immediately.”
“Be careful, check if any filth has snuck in.” Before the person could finish speaking, Shi Anzhi knocked them out with a drug.
Taking advantage of the confusion as the thugs scrambled to figure out what was happening, Shi Anzhi slipped into the internal stairwell. Using the drugs Nian Xue had given her, she swiftly incapacitated several elite bodyguards.
Even though she had tested the drugs on lab mice, seeing their effects on humans still astonished her.
Astonished, and yet, strangely exhilarated.
She had never fought alongside anyone before, and this time, the one helping her was her beloved.
Just then, the backup power flickered on, unstable, the lights wavering between brightness and darkness.
It was enough to buy her time, at least she wouldn’t have to waste her energy on small fry.
Shi Anzhi took a deep breath and kicked open the door to the top-floor office.
At that moment, Ding Sha was holding two terrified Omegas, swaying unsteadily under the influence of cigars and alcohol as he barked orders into a walkie-talkie.
He fumed, “You useless fools, hurry up and find out who’s behind this.”
When someone suddenly burst into his office, he panicked for a moment. But as soon as he recognized the intruder’s figure, even with the mask, he knew exactly who it was.
After all, this was the person who had once stabbed through his palm, making him the laughingstock of the town for quite some time.
“Shi Anzhi?”
“You son of a bitch, I was just about to come for you, and here you are, delivering your life to my doorstep.”
Ding Sha sneered, pushing the two Omegas away and telling them to get out.
Seeing no bodyguards enter, he had anticipated something, but still didn’t take it seriously.
“The power outage is your doing, you bastard, you idiot. Did you think this alone would be enough to defeat me?”
Ding Sha revealed the mechanical arm he had concealed under the table.
It was nothing like a human hand. The arm was covered in intricate circuitry and hydraulic pipes, its five fingers gleaming with a metallic sheen. Even the joints had visible nozzles.
The entire arm was five times larger than that of an ordinary person.
So this was a mechanical arm. Shi Anzhi saw it clearly, but it didn’t exceed her expectations.
Nothing special.
She asked, “Did Teng Ying give you a necklace? Where is it?”
Ding Sha narrowed his eyes, momentarily stunned, then recalled something amusing.
That pearl necklace had settled Teng Ying’s debt of three million coins. But a few days later, Teng Ying actually called to ask if he could buy it back.
The necklace was clearly a high-quality piece, so of course, he refused. Teng Ying didn’t press the matter.
His subordinates had once reported that Shi Anzhi had picked up a beautiful Omega and brought her home. Ding Sha had found it laughable at the time.
“You’re quite the sentimental one. I know you picked up a pretty Omega, and now you want to retrieve the necklace for Teng Ying?” Ding Sha pulled open a drawer and revealed the pearl necklace.
Under the flickering lights, every pearl on the necklace glowed.
“What you want, I will destroy. Once you’re dead, that Omega of yours and Teng Ying will both be mine.” As he spoke, Ding Sha deliberately brought the necklace to his nose and made an exaggerated, intoxicated gesture.
“So fragrant. I can hardly wait to taste what she’s like. Teng Ying isn’t bad-looking either.”
His movements were lewd, as if he were defiling not the necklace, but the beauty herself.
Shi Anzhi held her breath, disgusted to the point of nausea. That was Nian Xue’s necklace. A cold, murderous intent quickly surged from the depths of her heart.
Taking advantage of Ding Sha’s distraction, she swiftly drew the alloy pipe hidden behind her back and swung it at his head.
Ding Sha hadn’t expected her to attack so suddenly and hastily blocked with his mechanical arm.
A dull, heavy thud echoed, accompanied by a shower of sparks.
Ding Sha’s mechanical arm remained unmoved, while Shi Anzhi was thrown back by the immense recoil, her hands numb from the impact.
“Damn it,” Ding Sha cursed.
He flexed his mechanical arm, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. “This is a product of Tianheng Industries. Today, I’ll test its power on you.”
He stuffed the necklace back into the drawer and lunged at Shi Anzhi. The mechanical arm whistled through the air though it looked heavy, it moved with startling speed, aiming squarely at Shi Anzhi’s head.
Shi Anzhi scrambled to the side, narrowly avoiding the fatal blow.
The mechanical arm smashed into the steel table behind her, shattering it as if it were made of paper.
Shi Anzhi’s heart sank. She had underestimated the mechanical arm. A direct confrontation would only lead to her death.
A new round of attacks followed. Shi Anzhi darted around the room, using every obstacle to evade Ding Sha.
She needed to wait for the right moment.
“Are you only going to hide like a rat?”
Ding Sha roared, relishing Shi Anzhi’s predicament. Every swing of his mechanical arm left destruction in its wake cracked walls, shattered furniture.
His expression was frenzied, indifferent to the wreckage around him, imagining the moment Shi Anzhi would be crushed beneath his arm.
Immediately after, he shattered another load-bearing column as Shi Anzhi dodged, causing a tremor to ripple through the structure.
Shi Anzhi’s opportunity had arrived.
Seizing the moment of Ding Sha’s stunned hesitation after his missed attack, she shattered the test tube filled with powder.
Grey powder exploded into the air, and Ding Sha, caught off guard, inhaled a significant amount.
“What the hell is this??” he cursed.
Shi Anzhi held her breath and retreated to a safe distance.
She waited quietly.
Ten seconds, twenty seconds, thirty seconds.
Ding Sha’s movements began to slow, growing clumsy and uncoordinated.
He felt his muscles twitching uncontrollably, a wave of numbness spreading throughout his body.
“What did you do to me?!” Ding Sha panicked as he realized that, aside from his mechanical arm, his own body was rapidly losing strength.
This made it impossible for him to properly control the mechanical limb.
Observing Ding Sha’s reaction, Shi Anzhi smiled in relief. “This is a gift from my beloved.”
She no longer evaded but stepped forward to confront him directly.
Having survived in District R for over a decade, Ding Sha’s combat instincts were still sharp. With a furious roar, he channeled all his remaining strength into the mechanical arm, launching a desperate counterattack.
Shi Anzhi had anticipated this.
She struck fiercely with the sharp end of the alloy pipe at the biological interface connecting the mechanical arm to Ding Sha’s body, the weak point where the cybernetic limb met flesh.
Once, twice, three times.
“Aaaargh!”
Ding Sha let out a scream of agony; each blow felt like steel needles gouging his nerves.
Shi Anzhi had no taste for savoring an enemy’s suffering. Without lingering, she closed in, this time aiming the sharp end at Ding Sha’s throat.
Fear flashed in Ding Sha’s eyes. As the alloy pipe thrust toward him, he mustered his last ounce of strength, drawing an energy pistol with his intact right hand and aiming it at Shi Anzhi’s chest.
In that split second, Shi Anzhi reacted swiftly, twisting her body to evade the lethal shot aimed at her heart.
A blinding white light flashed, and a searing pain shot through her left arm. Glancing at the wound, she ignored it and continued swinging the alloy pipe, delivering another blow to Ding Sha’s chest.
Ding Sha’s expression froze, blood gushing from his mouth as his eyes rolled back.
Clutching her injury, Shi Anzhi quickly administered an emergency injection. She rummaged through a drawer, retrieved the pearl necklace, and carefully stored it away.
After a moment’s thought, she also took a few easily portable gold bars from the pile of jewelry in the drawer before heading through a hidden door to the underground garage.
Gritting her teeth against the pain, she randomly selected a car and drove toward the District R station.
Nian Xue was still waiting for her.
