The Lost Omega Heiress is Pregnant with My Child - Chapter 15
Together Forever.
Life was good now, and Shi Anzhi felt happy.
Was this happiness? Such a luxurious feeling.
She wished this feeling could last a little longer; it felt almost unreal. To keep this sensation going, she was willing to do anything.
In the morning, Shi Anzhi and Nian Xue cleaned the entire house together. They planned to eat out at a restaurant for lunch and then go buy some new furniture.
Nian Xue took her time getting ready, so Shi Anzhi went downstairs first to feed Bobo.
Just as they were about to leave, someone knocked on the door. It was Xiao Qu, the daughter of the nearby auto repair shop owner.
Xiao Qu was a Beta, just turned 16, with short hair and wearing a ripped denim outfit. She had a talent for fixing cars, and Shi Anzhi’s old truck was still running thanks to her occasional help.
“Sis Anzhi, I was passing by your place and thought I’d bring you something good.”
As soon as she stepped inside, Xiao Qu pulled two jars of chili sauce from her jacket and handed them over like treasures. “My mom made them. They’re really fragrant!”
“Did you come all this way just to deliver these?”
Shi Anzhi took the chili sauce and placed it on the nearby counter. “Please thank your mom for me.”
“It’s nothing. I’ve eaten plenty of your fruit for free.”
“Mostly, I came to check if you were still alive.”
Xiao Qu glanced upstairs meaningfully. “Your shop was closed for a few days, and I thought you’d gotten beaten up again.”
Everyone in the alley knew that Shi Anzhi had closed her shop because the Omega she’d taken in had gone into heat. The news had even reached Xiao Qu, who lived a street away. She was relatively close to Shi Anzhi and had met Nian Xue before.
“Stop looking.” Shi Anzhi knew Xiao Qu meant no harm, despite her young age. “Who are you trying to see?”
“Ah!” Xiao Qu grinned mischievously.
Just then, light footsteps sounded from the stairs. Nian Xue, wearing her blue dress, descended from upstairs.
“Xiao Qu.” Nian Xue smiled at her. “Here to buy some fruit?”
Xiao Qu had thought Nian Xue was stunningly beautiful the first time she saw her, and she still felt a bit shy around her. She nodded.
“Take whatever you like.” Nian Xue handed Xiao Qu a few large breadfruits.
She quite liked Xiao Qu much more than that Lin Wenshui. Originally, they had planned for a day for just the two of them, but since Xiao Qu was here, Nian Xue invited her to join them.
Xiao Qu, with her straightforward personality, quickly agreed. Before leaving, she even brought along the jar of chili sauce, saying it would be great to mix with their food.
The small restaurant was located in the southern part of the city and specialized in noodles. Their signature dish was a unique type of noodle made from glowing algae, which Nian Xue had never tried before.
The three of them ordered noodles with different flavors, and Xiao Qu enthusiastically encouraged them to try mixing the chili sauce with their noodles.
“Not bad.”
Shi Anzhi took a bite and asked Nian Xue, “Can you usually handle spicy food?”
Neither of them usually cooked with chili.
Curious, Nian Xue tried it and found the flavor quite novel, it had a sweet and sour taste that went surprisingly well with the noodles.
Seeing that Nian Xue enjoyed it, Xiao Qu smiled proudly.
The three of them chatted as they ate, enjoying a rare moment of relaxation.
After the meal, they sat on rocking chairs outside the restaurant, playing with a cat. Suddenly, Nian Xue felt something trickling from her nose.
When she touched it, she realized it was blood.
She froze, and soon, drops of blood fell onto her blue dress.
She nudged Shi Anzhi, unsure of what to do.
Shi Anzhi turned around and was also stunned at the sight.
She quickly snapped back to reality. “Quick, pinch the bridge of your nose and hold still.”
Xiao Qu hurriedly fetched tissues from the shop and handed them to Nian Xue. After several minutes of commotion, the bleeding finally stopped.
Xiao Qu breathed a sigh of relief. “Could it be that Sister Xue isn’t used to eating spicy food and it irritated her?”
“Maybe it’s the change of seasons. The R District is too dry.” Noticing Shi Anzhi’s worried expression, Nian Xue patted her hand reassuringly. “I’m fine.”
“Mmm…” Shi Anzhi squeezed Nian Xue’s hand in return.
The group proceeded as planned to the secondhand market to look at furniture.
But when they returned home, Nian Xue’s nose started bleeding again.
This time, it took much longer to stop the bleeding. After applying pressure and helping Nian Xue with an ice compress, Shi Anzhi’s worry only deepened.
She decided to call Teng Ying for advice.
At that moment, Teng Ying was in the middle of installing an artificial lung for a client, a major procedure and only answered when she saw it was Shi Anzhi calling.
“Nian Xue’s nose is bleeding again.”
Teng Ying apologized to her client before replying irritably to Shi Anzhi, “Am I Nian Xue’s personal physician now?”
“I’ll pay you a thousand credits.”
Teng Ying snorted. “She just finished her heat cycle probably an excess of liver fire.”
“How many days and nights did you two go at it?”
“…” Shi Anzhi replied flatly, “Stop joking around.”
“I’ve mentioned before that there are toxins in her system. It might be related. You should bring her to see me again sometime.” Teng Ying dropped her playful tone. “This isn’t my area of expertise, so we might still need to go to the Border District Hospital in the end.”
Shi Anzhi had been keeping this in mind, but after recovering from her own injuries, she had been caught up in Nian Xue’s heat cycle, delaying the matter.
“Alright.” She was about to hang up.
But Teng Ying brought up something else. “By the way, I went to the club yesterday. Ding Sha is back. He recently went to the Special Zone and got himself a mechanical arm. You should be careful.”
Shi Anzhi fell silent for a moment. “You went gambling again?”
“Uh!” Teng Ying’s response was to hang up abruptly.
After ending the call, Shi Anzhi thought of the necklace and felt a growing sense of pressure.
She needed money. She needed to create a safer environment for herself and Nian Xue. Only then could they continue living happily here.
In the evening, Shi Anzhi drove the truck to the repair shop. She had already arranged to meet Xiao Qu for dinner.
Nian Xue stayed behind to mind the shop.
Feeling restless, she watered all the plants, played with Bobo for a while, and eventually, Bobo ran outside to play on his own.
It was dinnertime, so there weren’t many customers.
Three rough-looking figures appeared at the end of the alley. The three Alphas swaggered as they walked, exuding the distinct scent of special spices commonly found in gambling dens.
Some of the nearby residents, spotting them, quickly closed their doors and windows, preferring to avoid trouble.
The leader was the same Alpha who had nearly been run over by Shi Anzhi’s truck last time, one of Ding Sha’s lackeys.
They were, of course, heading straight for Shi Anzhi’s fruit shop.
Seeing that Shi Anzhi wasn’t there, they kicked the door open with a loud bang.
Nian Xue had sensed their pheromones from afar and was prepared. The moment she heard the noise, she was already holding Shi Anzhi’s usual weapon, an alloy telescopic baton.
When they faced off, the Alphas barely glanced at the weapon in Nian Xue’s hand.
“Damn, look it’s that pretty little thing Shi Anzhi picked up. Does she usually just leave you here all alone?”
The A next to her sneered, “Fine. Before we kill Shi An, let’s have some fun first.”
Listening to these idiots’ foul words, rage and irritation burned in her chest. She would make sure they died but not with this alloy pipe.
Nian Xue felt unaccustomed to holding the alloy pipe; it was too heavy for her.
In this extreme situation, fragments of memory resurfaced in her mind.
Her weapon seemed to be a small handgun, one that fired bullets with deadly precision, immense penetration, and blinding speed, leaving no chance for fools to even speak.
The lead A, noticing the disdain on Nian Xue’s face, charged at her, trying to subdue her, but Nian Xue dodged effortlessly.
When she swung the alloy pipe, it managed to intimidate the A’s slightly, yet it also fueled their desire to dominate her.
“Damn, do you think you’re something special? We’ll show you what we’re made of!”
In the midst of the tension, the sound of a car came from outside the door.
Shi Anzhi had returned from the auto repair shop.
On her way back, Shi Anzhi’s heart had been pounding uncontrollably. Thoughts of Nian Xue’s condition filled her with unease.
Now, faced with this scene, her expression remained cold and detached.
“It’s you again.”
The three Alphas turned and saw Shi Anzhi exuding a sharp, murderous aura. They had come mainly to deliver Ding Sha’s message and casually intimidate Shi Anzhi they hadn’t planned on a direct confrontation.
“Well, well, Shi Anzhi, finally decided to come home?”
The leader grinned grotesquely and taunted, “You’re on death’s doorstep, yet you still keep a beauty around. You really have some nerve.”
“Our boss is back. He wants you to welcome him and show your respect. You’ll go, won’t you?”
Nian Xue glanced at Shi Anzhi, whose face was eerily calm so calm it bordered on indifference.
“Anzhi,” Nian Xue called out her name and tossed the alloy pipe over.
Shi Anzhi caught it steadily, understanding Nian Xue’s intention without a word. She stared at the Alphas and said coldly, “I told you I would cut out your tongues.”
Moving like lightning, she brutally stabbed the nearest Alpha in the neck from the side.
A sickening squelch, the sound of metal piercing flesh was unmistakable, and blood gushed out like a fountain.
The Alpha didn’t even have time to scream before clutching his throat and collapsing, his body convulsing violently.
The other two Alphas were frozen in horror at the gruesome scene.
The leader shrieked, “Are you insane? Do you know our boss just got a mechanical arm installed?”
But Shi Anzhi had already swung the pipe, striking another Alpha’s knee with a crushing blow.
The sound of shattering bone mixed with a piercing scream filled the air.
The lead Alpha finally snapped out of it. With a panicked yell, he turned to flee.
He barely made it two steps before Shi Anzhi caught up, kicking him to the ground. She pinned him down, her expression blank as she raised the sharpened end of the pipe, its tip already dripping with blood.
“Please, don’t kill me! Ding Sha sent us!”
Shi Anzhi’s eyes showed no emotion.
She brought the pipe down with brutal force once more, and the world fell silent.
The air thickened with the heavy scent of blood, and the man beneath her grew still, his breathing faint.
After a long moment, a hand rested on her shoulder. Shi Anzhi, panting, gradually calmed, it was Nian Xue’s hand.
She set down the pipe, intending to comfort Nian Xue, but instead, Nian Xue took the weapon from her and continued what she had been doing.
Nian Xue struck the Alpha directly in the face with a dull thud, his features already twisted in agony.
Shi Anzhi froze for a moment, staring at Nian Xue’s expression and suddenly unable to recall what she had looked like when they first met.
Nian Xue landed several more satisfying blows, blood splattering onto the oranges on the shelf. She stopped, dropping the crowbar.
She wiped the blood off the oranges with pity, then walked over to Shi Anzhi, embracing her, feeling her presence.
Both fell silent in that moment. They had just experienced a killing together and realized that, deep down, they were cut from the same cloth.
“It’s over,” Shi Anzhi said.
After a moment of silence, Nian Xue called Shi Anzhi’s name.
“I’m here,” Shi Anzhi replied.
“Do you know what I was thinking earlier? I was thinking that we should be together forever,” Nian Xue said firmly.
Strangely, while being harassed and facing danger with Shi Anzhi, that thought had surfaced in her mind, no matter what happened, she wanted to be with Shi Anzhi.
Shi Anzhi smiled faintly. “We will be together forever.”
She repeated the words.
And said them again in her heart: Together forever.
The room reeked of blood. Shi Anzhi patted Nian Xue’s shoulder, retrieved some long-unused chemical reagents, and began cleaning the bloodstains.
Shi Anzhi dragged the three corpses into the truck and Nian Xue followed, taking the passenger seat. They moved in perfect sync. At some point, Shi Anzhi had stopped worrying about the danger and no longer tried to keep Nian Xue from accompanying her.
Together forever.
As Shi Anzhi started the truck, Lin Wenshui opened her window and watched them.
The commotion had been intense. Earlier, she had been nearly overwhelmed by the Alpha pheromones and knew Nian Xue might be in danger.
But she hadn’t dared to step out and help. In this alley, who would dare intervene?
Fortunately, Shi Anzhi had returned quickly.
Now… Lin Wenshui observed Shi Anzhi’s actions. In the truck, several bloodied feet were visible.
She stood frozen, watching Shi Anzhi’s truck drive away, feeling fear toward her for the first time. She had assumed Shi Anzhi would, at most, drive them off and even that would have been an achievement, given they were Ding Sha’s men.
She thought, if Shi Anzhi wanted to, she could easily become an executioner. And that Omega she had picked up was no innocent little bunny either. She had misjudged them.
Late at night, Shi Anzhi hauled the three bodies to the incinerator in District R, used for disposing of waste, ensuring they vanished completely from the world.
Something must have been implanted in these three Alphas’ bodies, a rustling sound came from the incinerator, like machinery clashing.
Shi Anzhi hadn’t expected Nian Xue to remain so calm. She had never actively sought trouble with anyone, but after today, she realized she could no longer afford to be passive.
The danger Nian Xue had faced today was a direct result of her own prolonged tolerance.
As long as Ding Sha lived, there would be no peace. Besides, Nian Xue’s necklace was still in his possession.
She pondered this quietly for a long time.
After a while, Nian Xue, watching the will-o’-the-wisps drifting around, buried her face in Shi Anzhi’s back and mumbled, “I’m so hungry now.”
Shi Anzhi stroked Nian Xue’s head. “I’ll cook for you when we get back.”
On the way back, Shi Anzhi’s mind continued to race. Having shared so much, she decided to be open with Nian Xue about her thoughts.
“I’m going to kill Ding Sha.”
When she spoke, she thought Nian Xue would be at least somewhat startled by her idea.
But Nian Xue simply looked at her calmly and said, “Alright.”
She tightened her grip on Shi Anzhi’s hand, gazing into her eyes. “This time, I will help you.”
