The Lost Omega Heiress is Pregnant with My Child - Chapter 12
Drenched to Death.
The moment those soft arms tightened around her, Shi Anzhi immediately realized the severity of the situation.
Nian Xue was truly in heat.
She had to stay calm.
Clenching her jaw, Shi Anzhi tried to free herself from Nian Xue’s embrace.
An Omega in heat possessed astonishing strength when seeking intimacy. Nian Xue’s arms held her firmly, and the muffled sobs escaping her lips carried a pleading tone.
For Nian Xue, Shi Anzhi leaving now would be the cruelest torture in the world.
“Shi Anzhi, don’t let go of me.”
She murmured incoherently, her voice soft and seductive, each syllable testing Shi Anzhi’s already fraying judgment. “I’m hot, it’s unbearable.”
Shi Anzhi’s heart twisted painfully at those words.
She gave up struggling and instead tried to soothe Nian Xue.
She reached out and gently patted Nian Xue’s back, as if comforting a sick child.
“It’s alright, Ah Xue, it’s alright!”
She repeated the words, her voice dry.
But for an Omega consumed by heat, such comfort was like adding fuel to the fire.
Shi Anzhi’s presence, her scent, her body warmth every touch only further stimulated Nian Xue’s senses.
Nian Xue’s breathing grew increasingly ragged, her body temperature rising steadily.
Unconsciously, she began rubbing her burning cheeks against Shi Anzhi’s neck and chin, like a cat seeking affection.
Her lips brushed against Shi Anzhi’s skin, each breath releasing scorching heat.
“Shi Anzhi, touch me…”
She spoke in broken phrases, not even knowing what she was begging for.
Shi Anzhi’s body froze.
She thought of the suppressants, then recalled Teng Ying’s earlier words, unsure of what to do next.
She vaguely knew that soothing pheromones could briefly comfort an Omega, but as a disabled Alpha, would her faint pheromones even be effective?
Taking a deep breath, she tentatively released a small amount of soothing pheromones, observing Nian Xue’s reaction.
Nian Xue frowned, her body suddenly trembling violently, startling Shi Anzhi. What was happening?
Almost panicking, she immediately abandoned the clumsy attempt to release more pheromones. She couldn’t afford to hesitate any longer, an Omega in heat faced life-threatening risks if not relieved.
She made a difficult decision.
Shi Anzhi’s cheeks flushed crimson. Closing her eyes, trembling, she extended her hand.
Her hands, roughened by years of labor, were not delicate, their fingertips calloused. Yet now, her movements were as gentle as if she were touching fragile porcelain.
When her fingers brushed against the soft, damp warmth, Nian Xue’s body tensed sharply, a pained sound escaping her throat.
The sound struck Shi Anzhi’s nerves.
Unsure if Nian Xue was in pain, she almost withdrew her hand immediately.
But Nian Xue’s subsequent reaction made her pause.
The pain seemed to ease slightly. Nian Xue’s furrowed brows relaxed, and her body grew less rigid.
She began to respond more actively to Shi Anzhi’s touch, the sounds from her lips shifting from pained whimpers to contented, kitten-like purrs.
“Anzhi, I like you.”
Hearing this drowsy murmur, Shi Anzhi’s mind grew even more unsettled.
She began releasing her pheromones. Her scent was so faint that even she could barely detect it, making it difficult to judge whether the concentration was appropriate.
She could only gauge it by observing Nian Xue’s expression.
Seeing the look of pleasure on Nian Xue’s face, she felt slightly reassured.
Her movements were clumsy. All she wanted was to ease A’xue’s discomfort, to make her feel a little better.
The bedroom was filled with the Omega’s suppressed gasps.
The rich, pear-like scent of pheromones seemed to have liquefied, enveloping the two of them tightly.
Shi Anzhi felt as if she were drowning in that fragrance.
After what felt like an eternity, Nian Xue arched her back, trembled, furrowed her brows, and then collapsed limply into Shi Anzhi’s embrace.
The burning, feverish heat receded, if only temporarily.
Nian Xue’s breathing gradually steadied, as if she were utterly exhausted, and she fell into a deep sleep.
By then, the first light of dawn had begun to break on the horizon, signaling the start of a new day.
Shi Anzhi took a moment to calm her breathing and collect herself before heading to the bathroom to wash her hands.
This was only a temporary relief. The estrous cycle typically lasted several days, and the next wave of heat would only be more intense.
Taking advantage of Nian Xue’s slumber, Shi Anzhi dialed Teng Ying’s number.
She didn’t bother with pleasantries and got straight to the point: “Is it really not possible to use inhibitors? I need them delivered as fast as possible, no matter the cost.”
Teng Ying had felt a twinge of regret after hearing how badly Shi Anzhi was injured during their last encounter, when she’d asked her to participate in an underground fight. She hadn’t mustered the courage to reach out since.
That was the nature of their relationship, no contact unless necessary, occasionally looking out for each other, but never apologizing.
Now, hearing Shi Anzhi’s tone, Teng Ying quickly deduced that the Omega she’d picked up had gone into heat.
Not one to waste words, she replied bluntly, “It’s better not to use them.”
Teng Ying reiterated her previous stance, “I have inhibitors here military-grade, highly effective. I can arrange express delivery, but I’ve already told you, her body contains toxins. Whatever the consequences, don’t come blaming me.”
Shi Anzhi fell silent for a moment.
“In this situation, what would you suggest?” she finally asked, her voice strained.
Teng Ying chuckled silently, teasing her old acquaintance, “It’s just a heat cycle. The safest solution, of course, is to go through with it stay with her through the entire estrous period.”
With her characteristic bluntness, she added, “Shi Anzhi, just saturate her with your pheromones.”
“If you’re willing to mark her, she’ll have you to rely on for every heat cycle from now on. Her life will be in your hands.”
Shi Anzhi’s mind buzzed. Even someone as composed as her felt a flush of embarrassment at Teng Ying’s words.
Deep down, she knew the reality. But whether it was releasing pheromones or marking an Omega, it wasn’t something she took lightly. She needed confirmation.
Confirmation that there was no other way.
Without that reassurance, she feared she might regret it and that Nian Xue might regret it too.
Avoiding inhibitors meant she would have to face Nian Xue’s increasingly intense waves of heat head-on.
And the only way she could help Nian Xue was by offering her own pheromones worthless, perhaps, but pure.
