- The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive
- Chapter 46 - Spiritual Union
“I’m not doing anything, Sister. What are you talking about?” Jiang Luoxing stared at her intently, looking as though she had just accused him of a heinous crime.
Jiang Luoyue pressed her thumb against his lips. “You always act so sweet and obedient in front of me, yet you’re so fierce toward the others.”
Jiang Luoxing continued to look at her innocently. He flicked his tongue out slightly to brush against her thumb before quickly retracting it, maintaining his guileless gaze.
“Just don’t overdo it, alright?” Jiang Luoyue lowered her hand and led him toward the bed. “I can understand a little jealousy, but you must remember—we are a family.”
“Don’t worry, Sister, I know that. I only bicker with Yue Wenqiu occasionally. If his life were ever in danger, I would do my absolute best to save him,” Jiang Luoxing said, his expression becoming solemn. “We are family; I won’t give up on anyone.”
He paused, then added, “Though I haven’t met that Gu Wangfeng person yet.”
Seeing that he was being reasonable, Jiang Luoyue didn’t press further. Since it had been several days since they had last shared any “pleasant activities,” Jiang Luoxing was somewhat restless. His movements were urgent and a bit forceful, leaving several marks upon her skin.
“Sister, I really missed you too much,” Jiang Luoxing whispered piteously, kissing her repeatedly.
The next morning, Jiang Luoyue woke up unusually early. Jiang Luoxing was sleeping peacefully beside her. Propping herself up on one arm, she gazed at him from the side.
Luoxing (Falling Star) and Luoyue (Falling Moon)—they were born to accompany one another. Jiang Luoyue couldn’t help but think back to how he looked when they first met. If outsiders knew that a boy without a spiritual root had suddenly manifested one and reached the Golden Core stage within a single year, they would be green with envy.
Jiang Luoxing suddenly opened his eyes, catching her gaze. Jiang Luoyue looked away, feeling a bit bashful.
He let out a soft chuckle. “Sister, it’s time to get up.”
“Mm,” she replied softly, quickly climbing out of bed.
“Sister, you weren’t too shy to find three Dao companions, so why do you always get so embarrassed at times like this?” Jiang Luoxing teased. Before her feet could touch her shoes, he caught her by the waist. Pressing his face against her back, he continued to laugh.
Jiang Luoyue struggled to pry his hands off. “What? Your sister can do whatever she wants!”
“Get up and help me pack our things,” she added, breaking free to dress herself.
Once everything was ready, they set out for Fengman Pavilion. The journey would take only a day, after which they could check into their pre-booked inn.
Due to the upcoming auction, the surrounding inns were packed to capacity. The mortals were already fearful and respectful of cultivators; with so many arriving at once, the innkeepers and waiters were all on their best behavior, afraid of causing any offense.
They took two rooms: one for Li Changting and one for Jiang Luoyue, with the other two men rotating between them. For instance, if Yue Wenqiu stayed with Jiang Luoyue tonight, Jiang Luoxing would have to stay with Li Changting. Fortunately, Li Changting’s room had two beds, so the two men wouldn’t be awkwardly squeezed together.
“Brother Jiang, why do you have that name?” Li Changting asked, trying to strike up a conversation while they relaxed. “My Junior Sister is named Jiang Luoyue, and here you two are together. It’s such a coincidence! People who don’t know any better would think you were real siblings.”
“Because Sister gave me my name…” Jiang Luoxing replied, clearly not in the mood for small talk.
This was a peculiar trait of Jiang Luoxing’s: he was clearly impatient and didn’t want to talk, yet he always responded. His attitude might be a bit rough, but since he answered, no one could call him impolite.
“Ah? So you didn’t have a name before?” Li Changting asked in surprise.
Jiang Luoxing felt like getting up and punching him. After all, Alchemists were “glass cannons”—even if he hit him, Li Changting could just pop a pill to recover.
“Because my parents died early,” Jiang Luoxing said, inwardly cursing Li Changting for being a blockhead. Who else besides an orphan wouldn’t have a name?
Li Changting went silent, then spoke awkwardly, “I’m sorry, Brother Jiang…”
“It’s fine. I realized long ago that you’re a bit slow on the uptake,” Jiang Luoxing said, pillowing his head on his arms and staring into the dark.
Initially, he had felt quite dejected. He wanted an exclusive, singular love, but his sister couldn’t give him that. Since he couldn’t bring himself to leave her, he chose instead to hold onto the portion of love she gave him, enshrining it like a precious treasure.
Despite being insulted, Li Changting wasn’t angry. “You were quite lucky to be picked up by Junior Sister,” he said with a soft laugh.
“And you were quite lucky to be saved by her,” Jiang Luoxing countered.
Li Changting didn’t reply. Seeing him finally quiet down, Jiang Luoxing felt a strange sense of melancholy. This guy was noisy, but not exactly dislikable.
In the other room, Jiang Luoyue and Yue Wenqiu had meditated for a while before Yue Wenqiu suddenly spoke.
“I… I want to try and raise my cultivation level further.” Fearing she might think he was getting lazy and only wanted to use “that” to gain power, he quickly explained, “I feel like I’ve hit a bottleneck lately. I’m stuck at the early Nascent Soul stage, so I thought…”
“Hmph. Others might be stuck at the early Nascent Soul stage for decades or even centuries without a breakthrough, and you’ve only been stuck for a few months,” Jiang Luoyue teased him.
“Luoyue…” Yue Wenqiu looked at her helplessly. “You’re always like this.”
Jiang Luoyue blinked. Wait, didn’t I say that exact same thing to Jiang Luoxing yesterday?
“You always reject me first with a few jokes, and then…” Yue Wenqiu leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, “…and then when it actually happens, you become so sweet and obedient.”
Jiang Luoyue’s face flushed. She had to admit—she had high “attack” stats but very low “defense” when it came to flirting.
“I want to get stronger quickly so I can protect you better,” Yue Wenqiu continued.
Jiang Luoyue hadn’t intended to refuse him anyway. She admitted that she was exactly as he described. “Alright. I want to get stronger quickly too, so I can protect myself.”
“Let’s try a Spiritual Union,” Jiang Luoyue said, her hand already on his belt. With a gentle tug and a slight pull, his robes fell away, revealing the well-defined lines of his chest and abdominal muscles.
“A Spiritual Union… it feels more effective, and more comfortable,” her voice was as enticing as a siren’s song.
Yue Wenqiu had never tried it before, but he followed Jiang Luoyue as she led him into the sea of consciousness. Once they entered the heart of the matter, however, the initiative shifted back into his hands. Jiang Luoyue didn’t mind who held the lead; she quite enjoyed being served by her three men.
The sensation of a Spiritual Union reached the very depths of the soul. Whether it was the peak of desire or the trembling of the spirit, the feeling was absolute—an all-encompassing experience of being cherished from the inside out.
Yue Wenqiu finally realized what a blissful process a Spiritual Union could be. However, just at that moment, a low rumble of thunder echoed from the horizon.
“Could it be… a breakthrough lightning tribulation?”
