- The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive
- Chapter 37 - Demon Clan
Jiang Luoyue was surprised that Li Changting had immediately sworn an oath. “Senior Brother, I naturally trust you.”
“It’s nothing, just swearing an oath. As long as I don’t betray you, it has no impact,” Li Changting shrugged casually.
Jiang Luoyue gave him a pass (teleportation jade slip). “Senior Brother, next I’ll take you to a very magical place.” She spoke with a smile. She was usually more well-behaved and gentle, and Li Changting remembered she only showed that clever, fox-like expression when she was playing a trick on someone.
Jiang Luoyue brought Li Changting to the Floating Wave House, told him about the marvels of this space, and then led him into the house.
“I moved all your belongings from the sect over here, but they haven’t been sorted yet,” Jiang Luoyue explained. The items were piled on the first floor. Her room and the rooms of Jiang Luoxing and Yue Wenqiu were on the second floor. Li Changting was astonished by such a treasure. The room was filled with many things: his spiritual herbs, bottles and jars of pills, the pill furnace, tables, chairs, baskets for holding items, shelves, and even the stone stools and stone table from his courtyard.
“Junior Sister,” Li Changting swallowed hard. “It must have been hard work moving all this stuff.”
Jiang Luoyue chuckled. “Not at all. This place is just like a spatial dimension. A wave of the hand brings things right in.”
“For the next few days, you can refine pills here. No one will bother you,” Jiang Luoyue smiled.
“Thank you, Junior Sister,” Li Changting put away the teleportation jade slip, which was extremely valuable to him, and then took out two bottles of pills from a shelf. “Junior Sister, take these for standby. Don’t be polite with your Senior Brother.”
Jiang Luoyue smiled, accepting them and putting them into her storage pouch. “Senior Brother, I will definitely bring back plenty of spiritual herbs and plants for you to refine pills.”
Li Changting stayed in the Floating Wave House to organize his things, while Jiang Luoyue went out to rendezvous with Jiang Luoxing and Yue Wenqiu.
“Let’s go,” Jiang Luoyue stood tall and proud, picking up the little fox curled up asleep nearby. “Are you coming or not?” The little fox stretched. Jiang Luoyue was charmed by its appearance, so she picked up the little fox and rubbed it vigorously in her arms.
The little fox pushed her away with its paws. “I’ll go, just be normal.” After speaking, it jumped onto Jiang Luoyue’s shoulder, its tail wrapped around Jiang Luoyue’s neck like a scarf.
“Ooh, so warm,” Jiang Luoyue tilted her head and rubbed her cheek against its body.
“If you don’t behave, I’ll kill you and use you as a scarf for Elder Sister,” Jiang Luoxing’s hand rested on the little fox’s body. The little fox turned its head and fiercely bared its teeth at him. “You Foundation Establishment Stage trash dares to threaten me?”
“Hmph, don’t get too smug. I have a very powerful cultivation method,” Jiang Luoxing felt a little sour, but then reconsidered. He could cultivate with his sister through dual cultivation; his speed would be much faster than it.
The little fox didn’t believe him but didn’t bother to engage, instead patting Jiang Luoyue’s cheek with its paw. “I want delicious food. Pack some for me,” the little fox said, its tone completely bossy. Jiang Luoyue naturally indulged it. She had long realized this little guy was a foodie. It wanted roasted duck, liked three-delicacy soup, ate meat buns, liked vegetables and fruits, and also loved sweet pastries. Jiang Luoyue hadn’t expected a fox to have tastes so similar to a little girl, like butterfly pastries, lotus flower pastries, and almond jelly.
Jiang Luoyue hung a crossbody storage pouch on it, stuffing it entirely with delicious snacks.
“Our whole family is working for you,” Yue Wenqiu poked the little fox’s nose. “Luoyue is your masseuse, Luoxing is your chef, and I’m the errand boy.”
The little fox glanced at him but didn’t bother responding much. It lay contentedly on her shoulder, behaving very obediently.
Jiang Luoyue’s group headed to the location given to them by the Song family. This place was rich in spiritual energy, with lush trees and dense white fog, making visibility very low. Finding spiritual herbs and plants required caution.
The little fox stood up on Jiang Luoyue’s shoulder to reach for a spiritual fruit on a tree. Jiang Luoxing didn’t recognize spiritual herbs. Seeing the little fox’s action, he thought collecting some fruits with it would be good too.
“What is this?” Jiang Luoxing saw a golden yellow fruit on a nearby tree and reached out to pick it. Before he could touch it, his hand was slapped. The little fox quickly jumped from Jiang Luoyue’s shoulder to Jiang Luoxing’s shoulder, using its paw to slap his hand away. Jiang Luoxing didn’t feel pain, as the little fox kept its claws retracted. He only felt the softness of the paw pad, though it was slightly rough.
“Poisonous, you idiot,” the little fox’s tone was fierce, but its action clearly showed concern for them. They were already used to the little fox’s arrogant manner.
Whatever spiritual herb Jiang Luoyue saw, as long as spiritual energy swirled around it, she collected it all into her storage pouch.
“Elder Sister, you know so many spiritual herbs,” Jiang Luoxing said with some envy. He knew through Li Changting that cultivators had both main and auxiliary cultivation paths. His main path was the sword, but he also wanted to learn another one, though he hadn’t decided what yet.
“Ah, I don’t recognize them,” Jiang Luoyue’s eyes were full of clarity and a hint of foolishness. “I can only see that they’re surrounded by spiritual energy. I collect them, and Li Changting understands them.”
Yue Wenqiu followed behind Jiang Luoyue, imitating her and collecting everything he saw.
The little fox collected many fruits. Seemingly tired, it lay on Jiang Luoyue’s shoulder. Jiang Luoyue raised her hand to stroke its head.
“Want to come over to my side?” Yue Wenqiu asked the little fox. He could sense that the little fox’s background was likely better than his own, especially since it mentioned its uncle trying to seize the family head position, making the little fox the Young Master.
“No,” the little fox turned its head away, refusing to look at him.
Jiang Luoyue smiled. “Alright, just stay with me obediently.”
“Recently, I heard about a big event in the Demon Clan. Little Fox, are you aware of it?” Yue Wenqiu asked casually.
The little fox’s furry face looked at him, as if waiting for him to continue.
“The former Demon Venerable passed away, and the Demon Venerable’s biological younger brother colluded with the Demon Clan elders to chase the Demon Clan’s Young Master. Now the Demon Clan Young Master is missing and his fate is unknown,” Yue Wenqiu said. This story sounded very similar to what the little fox had previously mentioned.
All three looked at the little fox. But the little fox just looked at them speechlessly. There was no sign of a guilty conscience from being exposed, only boundless exasperation.
“Are you people sick?” The little fox lifted its eyelids to look at them, then continued to lie on Jiang Luoyue’s shoulder without moving. Jiang Luoyue felt it was about to fall asleep if it stayed there any longer.
“Well, my situation is similar to Jiang Luoyue’s,” the little fox closed its eyes and continued to grumble.
The three nodded. In places with families, such events were inevitable. Not all families are like the Song family, with only one heir per generation.
