- The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive
- Chapter 29 - Where Did Yue Wenqiu Go?
“He was gone when I woke up,” Jiang Luoyue was a little anxious. Yue Wenqiu wasn’t the type of person to leave without saying goodbye.
Jiang Luoxing suddenly remembered something. “Could he be in the Floating Wave…” Halfway through his sentence, he realized there was an outsider.
Jiang Luoyue also reacted. Song Weiyuan saw Jiang Luoxing stop abruptly mid-sentence and guessed it was something he shouldn’t know, so he laughed it off.
“I’ll go attend to other matters first. If you really can’t find him, notify me immediately, and I’ll help you look,” Song Weiyuan pretended to be busy and left, giving Jiang Luoxing and Jiang Luoyue space to talk.
“I’ll go into the Floating Wave House right now to check,” Jiang Luoxing said, pinching the Pass Jade Tablet to enter the Floating Wave House. But he searched around the house and didn’t find Yue Wenqiu. Outside the house, needless to say, was a plain with no cover, and he saw no living creatures.
Jiang Luoxing came out and shook his head at Jiang Luoyue.
“Where could he have gone?” Jiang Luoyue’s face wrinkled. “Did he go to the Western Cloud Sect to pick up Li Changting? Or did the Eastern Yue Sect have an emergency and call him?”
“Let’s go ask Brother Song for help,” Jiang Luoxing gently stroked her back, comforting her.
Jiang Luoyue nodded and immediately went with Jiang Luoxing to find Song Weiyuan.
“I’ll go to the Western Cloud Sect. You two don’t know the way,” Song Weiyuan suggested. “Don’t worry, he probably just had personal matters to attend to and thought it wouldn’t take long, so he didn’t have the heart to wake you up.”
That made sense. Jiang Luoyue felt a little relieved. After discussing with Song Weiyuan, they decided that she would go to the Eastern Yue Sect to look for him, and Song Weiyuan would go to the Western Cloud Sect. Jiang Luoxing would stay at home to wait for news, in case Yue Wenqiu suddenly returned and couldn’t find anyone.
On her way to the Eastern Yue Sect, Jiang Luoyue still couldn’t feel at ease. If he had gone home, he should have at least left me a note. She flew in a frantic rush, but accidentally collided with a dark shadow. Jiang Luoyue didn’t have time to see what it was and lost her balance, nearly falling.
The creature was considerate enough to quickly steady Jiang Luoyue, and she immediately adjusted her posture. Seeing that the creature was a fox, Jiang Luoyue froze. Its eyes were watery, and its white fur was dirty and somewhat matted, but it still looked fluffy.
Jiang Luoyue couldn’t resist this adorable creature and immediately softened. “Little one, you…” Before Jiang Luoyue could ask about its condition, the ball of fur anxiously burrowed into her arms.
“Save me… Please save me…”
Jiang Luoyue’s mind was instantly overwhelmed. She wanted to save such an adorable creature, but she was also afraid of getting into trouble. The little fox had a bloody wound on its back, and its paws were bleeding. Not knowing if it had encountered an enemy or met with an accident, Jiang Luoyue was afraid of attracting trouble.
The little fox’s claws tightly grasped Jiang Luoyue’s robe. Tears welled up in its eyes. “They are coming soon. If you don’t want to save me, then forget it.” The little fox’s tone was full of grievance. It let go of her robe and turned to continue its escape.
“Save it!” The System’s voice was crisp and decisive.
The next second, the little fox found itself in a strange world. It was a flatland with nothing but green grass, and a three-story house in the center. The little fox didn’t sense any danger and guessed the woman had thrown it into some kind of Grotto-Heaven.
The little fox recalled that the woman was very pretty, smelled nice, and the place its paws pressed was soft. All in all, the feeling was good. Now that it had reached a safe place and was utterly exhausted, it tilted its head and promptly passed out.
After Jiang Luoyue tossed it into the Floating Wave House, she quickly cast a Dust Cleansing Spell. The bloodstains on her body instantly disappeared, and her dress returned to its clean state. She even carefully sprayed some perfume. Jiang Luoyue raised her arm and sniffed her sleeve. It smelled nice; the blood was gone.
Sure enough, two burly men quickly appeared, blocking Jiang Luoyue, who was rushing on her way. She watched the two men warily. “What are you doing, Fellow Daoists?”
“Fellow Daoist, don’t panic. We are just tracking a cunning fox. Have you seen it?” One of the burly men cupped his hands. Although he looked fierce, he was quite polite. He took out a bag of spirit stones. “If Fellow Daoist can tell us the fox’s whereabouts, this can be considered a reward. Please don’t despise it.”
Jiang Luoyue feigned a look of confusion, mixed with a hint of anxiety. “I’m sorry, I didn’t notice. I’m rushing to the Eastern Yue Sect to find someone. I truly didn’t see any fox.” The two men’s eyes scanned Jiang Luoyue, seemingly judging whether she was telling the truth.
“I really haven’t seen it,” Jiang Luoyue apologized. “I’ll be going now.” After speaking, Jiang Luoyue flew away on her sword, quickly leaving the area.
The two men saw that she was heading toward the Eastern Yue Sect and said nothing more, continuing their search for the fox. As Jiang Luoyue flew, she was nervous, thinking, Don’t follow me. After lying, I feel guilty, after all.
“That thing clearly spells trouble. Why did you make me save it? What if those two realize I lied and come back to look for me?” Jiang Luoyue called out the System and complained quietly.
“Oh, the little fox is so cute! It can even be a hand warmer when it’s cold. Besides, most fox-kin who transform into human form are beautiful. Host, you can try raising it!” the System said.
If it were an ordinary little fox, Jiang Luoyue wouldn’t mind raising it. But this fox clearly had a background. How could she dare? However, since she had already saved it, she might as well raise it for now. Regardless of gender, furry things were indeed cute. Jiang Luoyue also wanted to experience what it felt like to be King Zhou of Shang.
Jiang Luoyue didn’t dwell on the matter anymore. The priority now was to go to the Eastern Yue Sect to find Yue Wenqiu.
The people of the Eastern Yue Sect were very surprised to see her, but they were also a little surprised that Yue Wenqiu wasn’t with her.
“Senior Sister Jiang, why didn’t our Senior Brother come back with you?” The disciples all knew that their Senior Brother was “following his wife’s lead” and traveling with her. Seeing Jiang Luoyue, their first reaction was, “Senior Brother is visiting his old home.”
“He left without saying a word. I thought he came home,” Jiang Luoyue frowned. Yue Wenqiu hadn’t returned. Could he really have gone to the Western Cloud Sect to pick up Li Changting?
The disciples were confused, but seeing the panic on Jiang Luoyue’s face, they couldn’t help but worry.
“I’ll look for him elsewhere and send you word later,” Jiang Luoyue turned and left, rushing back to the Song family as quickly as possible.
The Song family was located in the territory of the Western Cloud Sect, so Song Weiyuan should return soon.
When Jiang Luoyue returned to the Song family, Song Weiyuan’s and Jiang Luoxing’s eyes were on her, as if waiting for her to bring back news. Jiang Luoyue saw their expressions and immediately understood: Yue Wenqiu wasn’t at the Western Cloud Sect either.
“He’s not there?” Song Weiyuan also realized that he wasn’t at the Eastern Yue Sect either.
Jiang Luoxing didn’t feel secretly delighted that he could monopolize his sister because Yue Wenqiu was missing; he was also very worried.
