The Innocent 'Green Tea' Alpha at Home is Actually My Boss - Chapter 8
Upon arriving at Pingyue Hotel, Wang Gu parked the car and grumbled as he walked inside with Sang Weilian, “Why are we here so early?”
Fully armed with his face hidden under the brim of his hat, Sang Weilian did not answer.
It wasn’t until they stepped into the hotel that Wang Gu spotted a familiar figure. The person was wearing a mask and standing in a corner; he was exceptionally tall.
Seeing Sang Weilian walk in, the man immediately hurried forward to meet them, his footsteps showing obvious urgency.
Wang Gu figured it out it was Lu Lin. It turned out these two had made plans together.
“We’re going to the private room first. You come over later,” Sang Weilian instructed.
Understanding the situation, Wang Gu said helplessly, “I know, I know. Go on, go on.”
Sang Weilian walked ahead. Lu Lin was tall with long legs, so he kept up closely without any effort.
Their arms brushed against each other from time to time, and a very faint scent of mountain spring water gradually dissipated into the air.
With a thud, the door to the private room closed, shutting out that faint mountain spring scent.
Lu Lin was pressed against the corner. Looking down, he saw Sang Weilian’s flawless, handsome face.
Their breaths intertwined. At such close range, Sang Weilian’s skin was so fair that not a single pore could be seen.
“Brother,” Lu Lin called out in a low voice.
Sang Weilian tugged at his collar, raised an eyebrow, and asked, “Do you usually like releasing your pheromones outside?”
“I don’t,” Lu Lin replied with a submissive look. “Only when I see you.”
“Brother, I’m sorry. It was my lack of restraint. In the future, I will only release pheromones where you are. You are so good to me; I should be more obedient.”
Sang Weilian wasn’t actually angry. He was amused by these words. Looking into those watery, dark eyes that looked like deep pools, he felt that Lu Lin looked more and more like a good dog waiting for his master’s forgiveness.
Thus, while still holding his collar, Sang Weilian pulled the man down and bit directly into his lower lip.
Lu Lin quickly turned from defense to offense. He gripped Sang Weilian’s waist with one hand, pulling him into his arms, while the other hand cradled the back of his head to deepen the kiss.
In the air, the scents of mountain spring and wild rose entangled and drifted apart.
The burning kiss gradually moved downward, passing Sang Weilian’s slender white neck and protruding Adam’s apple, until it reached the vicinity of the burning gland at the back of his neck.
Lu Lin stopped with restraint. He had known the moment he saw Sang Weilian that the temporary mark he had left a week ago was gone. As an Alpha, and an Alpha who had harbored a secret crush on Sang Weilian for many years, he truly wanted to recklessly leave a new temporary mark regardless of the consequences.
But he couldn’t.
Without Sang Weilian’s permission, he could not do so.
With his gland so closely approached by an Alpha, Sang Weilian’s waist felt soft.
He regained his composure, knowing Lu Lin had boundaries and would never act rashly without permission.
Physiologically, he did indeed want a temporary mark, but aside from the need to be able to cut off this relationship at any time, he hadn’t brought any scent blockers today. There was a dinner party coming up, and the smell of pheromones couldn’t be hidden from outsiders.
After weighing his options, he pulled open Lu Lin’s collar and bit him below the collarbone.
Lu Lin let out a sharp intake of breath, looking a bit aggrieved at the person in his arms: “Brother…”
“A mark. Consider it your reward,” Sang Weilian said as he re-buttoned the collar for him, hiding the tooth marks.
Hearing it was a reward, Lu Lin suddenly felt that the slight pain just now was nothing more than an itch. He fingered the button on his neck with a face full of pride: “Thank you, Brother. I like this reward very much.”
Sang Weilian liked his sensible personality; feeling better, he granted him another kiss.
In the blink of an eye, thirty minutes of lingering had passed. When Ma Dongdong arrived and saw Wang Gu standing at the door of the private room like a guardian statue, he asked curiously, “Manager Wang, why haven’t you gone in to sit?”
“I was waiting for you to arrive so we could go in together,” Wang Gu said, intentionally raising his volume and coughing loudly a few times for cover.
“Oh, I’m truly honored then.” Ma Dongdong’s chubby face was full of smiles. Who was Wang Gu? He was the mentor of the Best Actor Sang Weilian, the irreplaceable best partner since his debut, and a gold-medal manager with a superior status in the entertainment industry!
“Where is Teacher Sang?” Ma Dongdong asked, getting to the point after his pleasantries.
“He’s here too,” Wang Gu said, opening the door. “Please, come in.”
As the words fell, he glanced toward the round table and saw the two people inside were neatly dressed. His hanging heart finally settled back into place.
Ma Dongdong was stunned by the two exceptionally good-looking people at the table. He froze for a while before walking forward with a smile to greet them: “Movie King Sang, it’s been a long time. Thank you for gracing us with your presence today.”
“Director Ma is too polite,” Sang Weilian said, shaking hands politely with Ma Dongdong.
To the side, Wang Gu introduced: “Director Ma, this is the newcomer actor recommended by Weilian, Lu Lin.”
Lu Lin stood up and greeted him politely: “Hello, Director Ma. I am Lu Lin. Please give me your guidance.”
Ma Dongdong sized him up and couldn’t help but exclaim: “This aura, this build… he really is very similar to President Miao in the script. Movie King Sang truly has a sharp eye!”
He sat down happily and called the waiter to serve the food.
During the meal, Lu Lin would occasionally pick up food for Sang Weilian. Ma Dongdong couldn’t help but look a few times before finally asking out of curiosity: “Lu Lin, you look quite like an Alpha?”
As a Beta, he could only guess based on Lu Lin’s presence and stature.
“Yes, I am an Alpha,” Lu Lin nodded.
“As I thought! The rumors on the internet saying Movie King Sang hates Alphas were just idle gossip. How could you possibly hate Alphas?” Ma Dongdong felt more and more that the relationship between these two was unusual. Especially upon hearing that Lu Lin really was an Alpha, his imagination ran wild until Sang Weilian interrupted him.
“Is Director Ma satisfied?” Sang Weilian’s voice carried a trace of indiscernible coldness.
“Of—Of course I’m satisfied!” The thick-skinned Ma Dongdong nodded repeatedly.
“It’s good that Director Ma is satisfied. Once he joins the crew, my younger brother Lu Lin will need Director Ma to take good care of him.” Sang Weilian leaned back in his chair, his posture relaxed and a smile on his face, but his eyes were filled with ice.
Lu Lin’s expression remained unchanged, but his movements while peeling shrimp paused slightly.
“Younger… brother?” Ma Dongdong’s cheeks burned, and a faint sweat broke out on his forehead.
“Yes,” Sang Weilian asked with a smile, “What did Director Ma think we were?”
“Brothers, of course! With your identical elegance and such otherworldly handsome looks, there isn’t a third person like you!” Ma Dongdong echoed quickly, his voice even getting a bit louder.
As the meal neared its end, Ma Dongdong took out the contract he had brought: “This is the acting contract for The Glorious President. I heard from Manager Wang that you just signed with Guangyue Entertainment and don’t have a manager yet. Take a look at this yourself; if there are no problems, we can sign.”
“Okay,” Lu Lin reached out to take it.
Sang Weilian leaned over to him: “Look at it carefully. Director Ma is one of our own, but if you take on other shows in the future, you must check contracts carefully to avoid traps.”
His voice was very soft, audible only to Lu Lin.
“Understood.” Having signed contracts worth hundreds of millions before, a 200,000-yuan acting contract was naturally no trouble, but Lu Lin obediently and seriously read it from beginning to end, acting completely like a cautious newcomer.
Afterward, he signed his name on the final page.
After tucking the contract away, Ma Dongdong called the waiter to settle the bill. Lu Lin whispered to Sang Weilian, “Brother, I’m going to the restroom.”
“Me too.” Sang Weilian had drunk a bottle of coconut milk and half a glass of wine; he also wanted to step out for some air.
“Okay, let’s go together.” Lu Lin smiled immediately and left the private room with Sang Weilian.
The restrooms for Alphas and Omegas were separate. As Sang Weilian stepped into the Omega restroom, he saw a face that disgusted him.
Fang Wenbin, who was washing his hands, also saw Sang Weilian through the mirror. He turned around and said sarcastically, “Oh, Teacher Sang, you wouldn’t happen to be eating here too, would you?”
Sang Weilian gave a cold snort, didn’t even look at him, and stepped into a stall.
Feeling humiliated, Fang Wenbin walked out of the restroom with a dark face and stood in the hallway with his arms crossed, intending to block him. He had to get his dignity back!
“My contract will be sent over later.” “Yes, it won’t be affected.” “I know, I’ll see to it.”
Lu Lin was on the phone when a strong floral scent flooded his nose, making him feel uncomfortable instantly. He subconsciously frowned.
Fang Wenbin looked up at his face and smiled after a moment: “We met at the company last time. What was your name?”
Met before?
He met people trying to pick him up all the time; it was basically always this routine.
Lu Lin hung up the phone with an unpleasant expression, without sparing him even a glance.
Fang Wenbin had just suffered a snub from Sang Weilian and was now being ignored by Lu Lin. He instantly became furious: “Hey, I’m talking to you!”
“Is Teacher Fang still standing at the restroom door after finishing? Do you find the restroom so fragrant that you can’t bear to leave?” Sang Weilian’s hands were still dripping with water; he had heard Fang Wenbin shouting while inside.
Lu Lin saw this, took a tissue from his pocket, stepped forward, and gently wiped Sang Weilian’s hands dry.
Seeing their intimate movements, Fang Wenbin mocked: “So Teacher Sang is interested in this kind of Alpha?”
“He’s handsome, has a good body, is tall, has nice-smelling pheromones, and just happens to look down on you. Isn’t that a coincidence?” Sang Weilian raised his hand, turned Lu Lin around, and inspected him carefully. “Fortunately, you weren’t bitten by a dog.”
Lu Lin let out a short laugh.
Sang Weilian glanced sideways at Fang Wenbin: “I know you want to hit on any Alpha you see, but if you’re hitting on my younger brother, you have to see if I, as his older brother, agree.”
“You!”
“You what? Is a senior like you going to bully a junior? Careful, or you’ll end up on the trending searches every day like me, being judged by ‘certain people with hidden motives’ for mistreating juniors and stealing their resources.” Sang Weilian sneered, grabbed Lu Lin’s wrist, and said, “Let’s go.”
“Okay, I’ll listen to Brother.” Lu Lin walked side-by-side with him, leaving without looking back.
They walked all the way to the parking lot before Sang Weilian remembered to ask, “How did you get here? Did you drive?”
“Oh, I took the bus.” Lu Lin lied without changing his expression, ignoring his car parked not far away.
“Then come with us. I’ll have Wang Gu drop you off first.”
Once in the car, Lu Lin gave the address of an apartment. Afterward, he heard Sang Weilian remind him, “Stay away from that Omega at the company in the future.”
“I don’t like other people,” Lu Lin said with a look of pure innocence.
Sang Weilian paused, feeling something wasn’t quite right. After a while, he said, “That’s not what I meant. I mean Fang Wenbin isn’t a good person. Especially for someone like you with no background if I’m not around, he will definitely trip you up.”
“So that’s how it is. I understand. I’ll be careful. Thank you for the reminder, Brother.” Lu Lin’s eyes curved into a smile. “Brother, you are so good to me. Just now… in front of Director Ma, Brother said I was your younger brother…”
“Yes. To the public, you are my younger brother. That way, when we end our relationship in the future, it won’t affect your career development,” Sang Weilian said in a flat tone.
The more calm he was, the more unpleasant Lu Lin felt inside.
In Sang Weilian’s heart, this relationship was something that could be cut off at any time.
The extreme emotions of loss and possessiveness surged wildly, making Lu Lin nearly unable to maintain his expression.
Lu Lin took a deep breath and put on a grateful look: “Brother really is good to me, even taking that into consideration for me.”
The mountain spring-scented pheromones sensed the owner’s emotional fluctuations and gushed out, surrounding Sang Weilian completely.
Sang Weilian felt his limbs go soft. He turned his head, staring at Lu Lin’s dark and obscure face, and reached out to pull him closer.
Just as their breaths intertwined and they were about to kiss, Wang Gu’s voice suddenly shattered the ambiguity in the car: “We’re at Lu Lin’s place.”
Sang Weilian closed his eyes and ordered Wang Gu: “Get out of the car first.”
Wang Gu knew that if he stayed now, he would be brighter than a searchlight. He helplessly pushed open the car door.
With a thud, the door closed.
Sang Weilian stuck out the tip of his tongue and lightly licked Lu Lin’s lower lip: “I think I’m drunk. Why do your pheromones feel stronger than usual?”
Lu Lin replied softly, “That wine has quite a strong after-effect.”
Then, he no longer hesitated and leaned in for the kiss.
