The Innocent 'Green Tea' Alpha at Home is Actually My Boss - Chapter 31
When he brought Sang Weilian back to the hotel, the symptoms of his heat were not yet particularly obvious. Lu Lin gave him a lingering, comforting kiss and released a significant amount of pheromones, slightly alleviating his discomfort.
“Ge, someone else saw us just now. I want to mention it to Mr. Wang first,” Lu Lin said softly, cupping Sang Weilian’s cheek to coax him.
Sang Weilian was dissatisfied. “Who saw us?”
“I don’t know them. Probably a teacher from your film crew,” Lu Lin said, lowering his eyes with a hint of grievance. “They seemed quite familiar with you.”
Inwardly, he was both anxious and displeased. He had seen the Beta who chased after them, and he felt that the person’s gaze was far from innocent.
He didn’t know what would have happened if he had arrived a little later, or if he hadn’t planned to come to Jiangcheng today. How would Sang Weilian have spent his heat? Would a third person have forcibly intruded between them?
Sang Weilian grabbed his collar and pulled him close. Amidst his scorching breath, his thin lips parted slightly, his tone cool and distant: “I’m not familiar with anyone. No need to go; Wang Gu will handle it.”
He felt the symptoms of his heat becoming more and more pronounced. A certain place had already begun to turn wet and hot, and the wild rose pheromones within his body were drifting outward uncontrollably.
“I didn’t know I was so lacking in charm that you’d leave a heat-stricken Omega alone to go manage someone else’s business.” Sang Weilian released the hand clutching Lu Lin’s clothes and pressed his palm against the younger man’s shoulder, pushing him away as he stepped off the bed with unsteady feet.
He opened the bedside drawer, which contained an unopened box of simulated Alpha pheromone agents.
Sang Weilian’s vision blurred, and the movement of his hands tearing the plastic seal unconsciously quickened.
As several fragmented pieces of the packaging fell to the floor, Lu Lin leaned in to look. Sang Weilian had already pulled out one of the vials and snapped the neck of the bottle.
Lu Lin clearly saw the words “Simulated Alpha Pheromone Agent” printed in black on the flat packaging box lying on the ground. His expression shifted instantly, and he swiftly slapped away the bottle Sang Weilian was about to drink.
The tiny glass vial, less than a finger’s length, rolled onto the floor with a series of sharp, rhythmic clatters. A thin scent of peppermint-flavored simulated Alpha pheromones drifted out.
Lu Lin’s lips tightened, and his face clouded over as he released a massive surge of pheromones. The sudden explosion of mountain spring scent instantly washed away that tiny bit of peppermint. Before Sang Weilian could even catch a whiff of it, his legs went weak, and he slumped directly onto the floor.
Lu Lin scooped him up by the waist. Before he could speak, Sang Weilian punched him and glared through his heated gasps: “You dare use your pheromones to suppress me?”
He had no strength to begin with, so the blow was painless to Lu Lin. Instead, before his fist could be retracted, his wrist was seized by Lu Lin, held so firmly he couldn’t break free.
“How can Ge use another Alpha’s pheromones?” Lu Lin’s eyes were rimmed with red, his dark pupils glistening as if with tears, yet possessing a ruthlessness Sang Weilian had never seen before. “I am right here. Does Ge not want me anymore?”
Sang Weilian was limp and powerless; his heat had officially arrived due to the surging Alpha pheromones.
He leaned against Lu Lin’s shoulder, panting and complaining, “You were calm enough to leave me be. Does it have anything to do with you what pheromones I use?”
“Besides, this is a simulated Alpha pheromone. It’s medicine, not a real Alpha. Who gave you the right to control so much?”
Lu Lin was thoroughly provoked by that last sentence. His eyes turned a deeper red, and his heart ached with bitterness.
Perhaps he shouldn’t interfere, but he insisted on it!
His lower lip was bitten, and Sang Weilian let out a muffled groan of pain. Unable to move his hands, he tried to shove Lu Lin with his knee, but in the end, even his legs were pinned down until he couldn’t move at all.
Lu Lin’s kiss was fierce and violent. Although he occasionally showed streaks of ruthlessness in these matters in the past, it had never been like today never to the point where Sang Weilian truly felt a flicker of fear.
In the past, Lu Lin had been too obedient. Sang Weilian had almost forgotten that Lu Lin was still an Alpha, an Alpha with a natural physiological advantage over an Omega like himself.
“Let go… let me go…” Sang Weilian twisted his wrists, eventually turning his head away to resist the kiss.
Lu Lin, wrapped in a shroud of possessiveness, jealousy, and insecurity, felt the resistance of the person in his arms. The bitterness in his heart intensified. Swept up in his emotions, he wanted to take it a step further, but his lips suddenly touched a cold dampness.
Sang Weilian was crying.
The reality hit Lu Lin like a heavy blow to the head, instantly snapping him awake. Only then did he realize the concentration of his pheromones in the room was terrifyingly high. The once arrogant and proud wild rose seemed to be huddled in a corner, squeezed until there was nowhere left to hide.
Sang Weilian felt humiliated. The moment Lu Lin relaxed his grip, he pulled away, enduring the scalding heat and soreness of his body to put distance between them.
He shouldn’t have cried at least not in front of an Alpha.
Wiping the tears from his face, he turned his head away and pointed at the door: “Get out.”
His fingertips were trembling, and he didn’t look at Lu Lin at all.
Lu Lin wanted to reach out and hold him, but before he could touch him, he saw Sang Weilian drop his hand, pull the quilt over himself, and wrap himself up tight without leaving even a single glance behind.
Lu Lin dropped his hand helplessly as a wave of regret washed over him.
He took a few deep breaths and apologized with lowered eyes: “Ge, I’m sorry.”
“You’re uncomfortable right now. My pheromones might make you feel better, so I won’t leave. I’ll lock myself in the bathroom. I won’t hurt you. I’ll leave once you’re better.”
Tucked under the quilt, Sang Weilian was surrounded by darkness and scorching air. He only heard the sound of slow, retreating footsteps and the “click” of the bathroom door being locked.
Only when the room became unnervingly quiet did he slowly peek his head out from the quilt.
Lu Lin was gone. The bathroom light wasn’t on, and Sang Weilian wasn’t sure if he had really locked himself inside until the intense mountain spring pheromones in the air gradually faded, eventually maintaining a gentle, soothing state.
Lu Lin hadn’t left.
The tears at the corners of Sang Weilian’s eyes had long been dried by the scorching temperature of his body; he was too hot.
Just a wall away in the bathroom was a living Alpha and an Alpha with nearly 100% pheromone compatibility at that. If they hadn’t just had a conflict a moment ago, he and Lu Lin would have been rolling together by now.
The more he thought about it, the more restless his body became. Tossing the quilt aside, Sang Weilian instinctively inhaled the mountain spring pheromones in the air.
It had been nearly a year since he last spent a heat alone. Having already experienced a heat with Lu Lin present, he was truly learning the meaning of “it’s easy to go from frugality to luxury, but hard to go back.”
How did he endure it last time?
He had taken a whole box of suppressants and wrapped himself in a quilt, drifting in and out of sleep.
He turned over restlessly.
He was really something how could he have slept while being this hot?
His gaze landed on the box of simulated Alpha agents on the floor. Sang Weilian reached out to take it, but the mountain spring pheromones surging in the air wrapped around him, delicately soothing every inch of his skin. They circled the gland emitting the thick wild rose scent, acting like the gentle touch of the mountain spring pheromone’s owner.
In his mind, the image of Lu Lin with red eyes, looking aggrieved and on the verge of tears, instantly surfaced.
Sang Weilian sighed and couldn’t help but mutter: “Why am I thinking about him? That childish brat who won’t listen over such a small thing…”
Looking again at the simulated Alpha agent and the overturned empty bottle beside it, Sang Weilian withdrew his hand and turned over to lie prone on the bed.
Fine. He could get through it without the medicine.
As if sensing Sang Weilian’s thoughts, the mountain spring pheromones all surged forward, entangling with the fragrance of the wild rose.
Sang Weilian lay half-prone, glancing toward the bathroom. He let out a long breath and reached his hand downward.
The soundproofing of the hotel room was excellent, but being in the same space, separated only by a door, the low moans of the person on the bed could be heard clearly in the bathroom.
Lu Lin’s fists were clenched tight, nails digging into his palms. His burning back was pressed against the frosted glass door, his lips pulled thin. He was restrained to the absolute limit, to the point where the veins on his temples were visible.
The Alpha’s intense possessiveness over the Omega screamed wildly, but his feet remained nailed to the floor. Throughout the entire night, he didn’t move a single step.
Sang Weilian couldn’t remember how he spent those few days. He only vaguely felt someone feeding him water and warm porridge in a daze.
By the time he was fully conscious, he was alone in the hotel room. If not for the lingering mountain spring pheromones in the air, Sang Weilian would have almost thought Lu Lin’s appearance by his side that night was just an illusion.
The bedding had been replaced with fresh sets, his soiled clothes had all been washed and neatly folded on the sofa, and there was a steaming breakfast on the table.
The window was open for ventilation, and that bit of mountain spring pheromone was heartlessly swept away by the wind in the blink of an eye.
Sang Weilian was dazed for a moment and checked the time on his phone. This heat was still irregular; it was over after only four days.
He looked at the hundreds of messages on WeChat. Ignoring the others, he scrolled down until he found a message sent by Lu Lin this morning: “Ge, I’m sorry.”
Other than that sentence, there was nothing else.
He sat there expressionlessly for a while, then threw back the quilt and got out of bed, pushing open the bathroom door.
The scent of Lu Lin’s pheromones here was significantly stronger than outside. Although the window and exhaust fan were on, they hadn’t dissipated yet.
But there was only the scent. The floor was cleaned spotless, and there wasn’t even a drop of water in the bathroom.
After staring blankly at the empty bathroom for a long time, Sang Weilian reached up and lightly touched the gland on the back of his neck, feeling an emptiness in his heart.
Whatever. He doesn’t listen anyway. If he’s gone, he’s gone. Nothing to be sorry about!
It looked like he needed to find an opportunity to talk to Lu Lin about terminating the agreement.
The breakfast on the table smelled delicious. Four days had exhausted all of Sang Weilian’s physical strength, and he was indeed hungry, but he inexplicably had no appetite.
He rummaged through the bag; it contained fried buns and soy milk.
Just as Sang Weilian was about to toss it aside, he saw a note pinned next to it. He paused, pulled out the note, and saw Lu Lin’s familiar handwriting.
“Ge, remember to eat TvT”
If you think crying will get you forgiveness, no way!
Sang Weilian kept a straight face and pursed his lips. After a moment, he pulled out the chair, sat down, and ate the breakfast while it was still hot.
