The Innocent 'Green Tea' Alpha at Home is Actually My Boss - Chapter 28
“Why so early?”
As Sang Weilian drifted in a daze between sleep and wakefulness, he felt movement from the person beside him. Being a naturally light sleeper, he woke up quickly. Outside, the sky was a hazy gray, and no light could penetrate the gloom.
Lu Lin walked to the edge of the bed and tucked the corner of the quilt around Sang Weilian. “Did I wake you, Ge? It’s after nine o’clock—it’s not that early. If you have nothing to do, sleep a bit longer.”
After nine?
Sang Weilian snapped into a state of clarity. He hadn’t expected to sleep for a full ten hours.
“The weather isn’t great today; it might rain later,” Lu Lin said as he took off his pajamas, revealing his lean, toned physique.
Sang Weilian realized he was quite fond of a handsome face and body himself; his eyes were dazzled by the sight of those abdominal muscles first thing in the morning. On an impulse, he reached out to touch him.
Caught off guard, Lu Lin’s waist and abdomen tightened further. He turned his head to look over, his expression aggrieved while the tips of his ears turned red. “Brother…”
“I can’t touch?” Seeing him like this, Sang Weilian didn’t want to let him off easily.
“You can,” Lu Lin rasped, leaning in closer. “But it’s already ‘standing up.’ I only have forty minutes before I have to go film.”
When Sang Weilian’s hand made contact below, he realized that waking up in the morning truly did make it easy to start a fire. He felt his own reaction as well, so he wasn’t stingy about helping to resolve the situation.
Lu Lin’s jawline tightened as he leaned over. He gripped Sang Weilian’s hand to help, his lips falling onto the corner of the other man’s mouth. His scorching breath was laced with the sweet fragrance of pheromones.
After a hurried bout of messing around, fifteen minutes had passed by the time they finished.
Lu Lin took a hasty shower and changed his clothes. Seeing how rushed he was, Sang Weilian asked lazily, “You mentioned yesterday that your schedule is packed starting today? I remember this character doesn’t have many lines; why is everything squeezed into these few days?”
“The lead actor’s schedule is quite tight, and most of my scenes are opposite him, so I have to coordinate with his timing,” Lu Lin explained. “But once I finish this stretch, my part will be wrapped up.”
Sang Weilian searched for the lead actor’s name and realized, “He’s a habitual ‘cross-filmer’—filming multiple projects at once. He has some backing, so he likes to play the big shot. If you feel like the filming isn’t going smoothly, tell me.”
“It’s no trouble.” Lu Lin felt exceptionally happy because of Sang Weilian’s concern. “Arranging it all together is actually good. I can finish it all at once and wrap up early. Maybe I’ll even be able to make it in time to see you off when you join your crew.”
Sang Weilian asked, “When does your web drama start filming?”
“You mean the one about the Crown Prince?” Lu Lin answered. “It starts next week, earlier than your crew. But I don’t need to attend the opening ceremony because that role has very little screen time.”
“Understood,” Sang Weilian nodded.
For a split second, he actually had the thought of keeping Lu Lin by his side when the younger man wasn’t filming. Realizing that he was being “blinded by lust,” he quickly dismissed the idea.
“Then I’m leaving first.” Lu Lin put on his jacket. “Are you leaving today, Ge?”
“Yes.” Sang Weilian had already sat up; he had an announcement to film this afternoon.
“I ordered breakfast for you. Eat before you go.” Lu Lin was already starting to feel reluctant to leave. If only time could slow down a bit so he could stay with Sang Weilian a little longer.
“Mm.” Seeing that Lu Lin said he was leaving but remained standing still, Sang Weilian crossed his arms and looked him over. “Aren’t you in a hurry?”
Lu Lin didn’t speak. In a few strides, he walked back to the bedside, propped his hands on the mattress, and kissed Sang Weilian.
Sang Weilian’s reaction was half a beat slow. With his lips slightly parted, he was easily invaded.
When the lingering kiss ended, Lu Lin took several steps back as if he had done something wrong, his voice dropping a few notches. “Thank you, Brother, for helping me relieve my separation anxiety.”
Sang Weilian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at this display, but he couldn’t find it in him to blame him. He simply urged, “Go quickly. It’ll be a hassle if you’re late.”
Only then did Lu Lin leave, smiling as if he had gotten exactly what he wanted.
Wang Gu had switched to a private car he rarely drove to pick up Sang Weilian in the hotel’s underground parking lot. Once Sang Weilian got in and took off his hat and mask, Wang Gu observed him carefully through the rearview mirror. Seeing no signs of anger, he grew bold enough to gossip.
“No fight? Or did you kick him to the curb?”
Sang Weilian raised an eyelid and glanced at him. “Do I look like I have such a bad temper?”
Wang Gu hesitated for a moment and nodded. “A little bit, yeah.”
“We didn’t fight.” Sang Weilian lowered his gaze. “It’s not like we’re dating. I have an agreement with him; the only way this ends is if I decide I don’t want him anymore.”
“Oh,” Wang Gu replied.
Seeing this reaction, Sang Weilian added, as if trying to cover something up, “Besides, he admitted his mistake and explained himself. If I were to hold a grudge over such a small matter, it would make me look narrow-minded and ill-tempered for making things difficult for him.”
Wang Gu nodded in agreement and dropped the subject. “Are you going to Dr. Xu for an exam today?”
“Yes.” The temporary marking period had ended, so it wouldn’t interfere with the check-up. Doing an exam before joining the film crew would put Sang Weilian’s mind at ease.
An hour later, Dr. Xu returned to the consultation room with the new test results.
His expression was even brighter than last time. “These indicators that were slightly abnormal last time have returned to normal. Your pheromone concentration is 282, which is a bit lower than before. As for the indicators related to your heat cycle… they are still the same.”
“Why hasn’t there been a change in the heat cycle indicators?” Sang Weilian was puzzled. Logically, since his pheromone disorder was gradually improving, his heat cycle should be returning to normal. But now, it seemed his heat was still like an unpredictable time bomb.
“I’m not entirely sure. After all, you are currently in a state of improvement, not a complete cure. Pheromone disorder is, after all, a genetic pheromone disease. The incidence is extremely low, and there are no samples of a complete permanent cure.”
Dr. Xu’s words made the atmosphere in the room turn heavy. Seeing Sang Weilian fall silent, he thought for a moment and asked, “When was your last heat?”
“In January.” That was the time at the Siny event when he was induced into heat.
“It’s been over a month.” Dr. Xu calculated the time. “According to a normal cycle, the next one should be in April.”
Sang Weilian’s face darkened. “I’ll already be with the film crew by then.”
“Eh? Is that Alpha named Lu Lin not going with you?” Dr. Xu was genuinely confused; he had thought the two of them got along quite well when he saw them last time.
“He’s not part of the crew,” Sang Weilian said briefly. “Can you prescribe me some other medicine? I still have suppressants.”
The Blind was being filmed at the Jiangcheng Film Base. Although it wasn’t far from Haicheng, it was still several hundred kilometers away. When the time came, he and Lu Lin would each be with their respective crews. If a heat suddenly arrived, he couldn’t exactly expect Lu Lin to be on call at a moment’s notice.
So, he still had to find a way to handle it himself, just like before though it would certainly be less grueling than it used to be.
“Then I’ll prescribe you a box of ‘Imitation Alpha’ agents and two bottles of ‘Soothing’ agents.” Dr. Xu sighed and took the medical card out to fill the prescription.
When he handed the medicine to Sang Weilian, he repeatedly urged him to rest and keep his emotions stable. Even after Sang Weilian left, he wasn’t sure if the man had truly taken his words to heart.
In the days before joining the crew, Sang Weilian became busy again. This state of non-stop work lasted until the day before the crew’s official start.
Because of the lead actor’s schedule in The Glorious CEO, Lu Lin wasn’t able to wrap up before Sang Weilian left for Jiangcheng. Naturally, he couldn’t come to see him off at the airport.

LLin: [Selfie.jpg] …
In the VIP waiting lounge, Sang Weilian received a dozen messages in a row, all from Lu Lin. There were whimpering emojis, pitiful wails, and selfies.
Scrolling from top to bottom, Sang Weilian was in a good mood, picking them out one by one to reply.
“Teacher Sang, would you like some sour plum juice?” Yu Guangxi sat down next to him, holding two cups of the drink.
Sang Weilian instinctively turned off his phone screen. “No, thanks. I don’t like sour things.”
He refused so decisively, and the way he shut his phone was like he was hiding something scandalous. Yu Guangxi froze for a moment, then apologized with a smile. “Sorry, sorry, Teacher Sang. Please continue with your business. I’m the one who disturbed you.”
“This sour plum juice…” Yu Guangxi looked around and turned toward Wang Gu and Zhang Chuntao. “Manager Wang and Assistant Zhang, how about I give both cups to you?”
Wang Gu, naturally, wasn’t going to be polite with him. “Then thank you, Teacher Yu, for your generous treat.”
Zhang Chuntao waved her hand, looking hesitant. Sang Weilian answered for her, “She doesn’t drink cold things. Teacher Yu, you should keep the other cup for yourself. Thank you.”
“Alright, then.” Yu Guangxi had an optimistic personality and was usually quite casual. He didn’t get angry even after being rejected. He happily went off to chat with He Ming.
Only then did Sang Weilian reopen his phone to continue replying. Wang Gu noticed and whispered a reminder, “Don’t look at your phone once we leave the VIP lounge.”
The crew of The Blind was on a unified flight departing from Haicheng Airport. Fans of all the actors had received the news and were already crowding outside. There was no guarantee that they wouldn’t be photographed while boarding.
Sang Weilian had been smiling too relaxedly just now. At a glance, it would be easy for people to misunderstand that he was in a relationship. If someone caught that on camera and posted it online, it would inevitably cause another storm.
“Mm.” Sang Weilian was naturally aware of this. After replying to the last few messages and telling Lu Lin he was about to board, he turned his phone off.
Closing his eyes for a moment and then opening them, he saw a figure blocking the light in front of him.
Yu Guangxi was holding two ice cream cones. “Teacher Sang, would you like a cone? I remember you like sweets. This one is strawberry, and this one is mango.”
He Ming walked over as if to join the fun. “Teacher Sang, didn’t I tell you before that Xiao Yu is your fan? He talks a lot; if you find him annoying, just ignore him.”
These words were obviously a joke. Yu Guangxi was, after all, the other lead actor and was very polite; it was impossible for Sang Weilian to truly ignore him.
Besides, eating an ice cream cone was a fine way to pass the time.
Sang Weilian reached out. “Mango, thank you.”
It was still a distant and polite thank-you, but Yu Guangxi beamed with joy and handed over the mango-flavored cone.
Wang Gu looked at Yu Guangxi curiously for a moment. Seeing how easy he was to get along with, he couldn’t help but say, “Teacher Yu is so tall. Even though we are both Betas, you’re almost as tall as an Alpha. My height really doesn’t measure up.”
“Yes, my family members are all quite tall,” Yu Guangxi replied with a smile.
“Xiao Yu’s fans call him the Beta who looks most like an Alpha in China. In short: ‘B-looking-A’.” He Ming had clearly become completely familiar with Yu Guangxi.
Yu Guangxi’s face instantly turned bright red. “Director He, there’s no need to emphasize that nickname. It’s too embarrassing!”
He was turned sideways, and the sunset outside the airport shone through the glass.
For a split second, Sang Weilian was stunned. From this angle, he actually looked a bit like Lu Lin.
Quickly, he lowered his eyelashes.
What a pity. Before leaving, he didn’t get to see Lu Lin acting spoiled in front of him, refusing to let go while clamoring about his “separation anxiety.”
